10/2025 update: Just wanted to shout out the great staff at this gym especially Isaiah. He was so wonderful to clean out the corner I wanted to work out in as it was dusty. He went over and above and I had a great workout. Really great people at this gym, thank you!

The manager is sweet and kind and Louisa who seems to always be there as attentive to the gym in every way possible and I consider her my friend. I once passed out there and oddly enough, so did my eldest son. She was attentive and made sure that everything was taken care of like clockwork. From my personal goods to the ambulance. She was there for us. I don’t know the logistics of your staffing, but I don’t understand why she’s not the manager although I do like the manager that’s currently doing so since Rodrigo has been placed elsewhere. I like ROD Very much. I have a little doubt that the equipment is probably standard and all the planet fitness locations But it’s the people at that desk that make the difference and if they weren’t there, I’m not sure I would stay as it would detract in my opinion, From, the cleanliness and attitude that makes the difference

The Manager Rodrigo, the staff, and the other patrons are all very friendly. The equipment is well maintained, and the gym environment is kept clean (same for the bathrooms, changing rooms, and showers)! I would highly recommend this gym facility, and LA-Fitness are the only gym’s in the area that I would recommend!

The gym is fine. What makes it great is Louisa, she takes care of that gym like it is her own. Constantly cleaning, replacing supplies and speaking with the members to make sure everything is going well. I visit the West Babylon gym 5 to 7 days a week. The days she is not there it is a mess. Garbage everywhere, weights not put away and equipment lying around. Without Louisa that gym would be a big fat ZERO!

When I walk through the doors at the Babylon facility, I’ve developed a friendly relationship with all those behind the desk, Rodrigo, Louisa, and the rest of the crew. I greet them, and they greet me often with a brief chat, and a smile, making it enjoyable to go there. I like the fact that I never find it with too many people that it makes using any specific machine tiresome to wait my turn as there’s always something else I could do while waiting for a different station. It’s not that the facility is ever empty or lacking of people which adds to a certain social pleasure but that it’s not overcrowded and it’s a great environment for me to help me stay healthy, strong and iand being a 66 years old male Can bring out the old muscle memory and Make some gains, ha. I also deal with emotional issues as I was on search and rescue as a New York City paramedic when the twin towers were hit and working out is a great source for me to reduce anxiety and depression, so there in lies a great importance to my membership which happens to be covered by my insurance, which is generous and that I am very very thankful for. And of course thanking you that you give the opportunity to allow your company to be on board with my insurance company to allow me to do some thing that would be another tough notch in my budget. I’ll leave my comment by saying that I am thankful for planet fitness and the management at this location and the atmosphere and health that it brings me. Keep up the great work. As a whimsically, call it I love going to planet purple.

I had mistaken this location for a different location - mis rated it.
This would be the perfect model for training other locations. The staff is super friendly and engaging. It’s always clean and people are actually working out….not hanging out with friends hogging machines. Joe / Dino / Nick / Antonio and rest of the staff always greet you upon entry. Senior Mgt needs to give this team some well deserved recognition!

The staff at the West Babylon location is so welcoming and friendly - it really sets a great mood for getting to the gym and having a solid workout. When I was having trouble logging into my Planet Fitness account, they were patient and helpful, allowing me to reset my password and properly login. The atmosphere is great at Planet Fitness West Babylon, the equipment and gym floor are very well-maintained, clean, and in better condition than other gyms I've gone to in the past with 4x the membership cost. I love this location and can't see myself ever going to a different gym! 5 out of 5 stars!

So this location is good as far as staff goes. But if your looking to work out any time that one would usually have time to workout don’t come here. The place is mobbed and you can’t even sit on annnny equipment as they are all taken!! Is there no other gym in this area!? It’s a problem as literally there should be a full capacity rule here as it’s not fair that you can’t even work out and the people just sit at the machines on their phones

My daughter signed up with great expectations. On her 2nd day her airport were stolen from her . No she didn't drop them. They have it on video, someone took them off her phone when she turned around. I canceled her membership but corporate refused to refund her sign up fee. Horrible company!

I just moved to west Babylon switched over to this planet fitness from Hicksville my experience has been good until this morning when I had to switch cards for payment the lady at the front was on her cell phone when I asked how much my monthly was she said “I don’t know” and proceeded to have a conversation on her cell phone horrible customer service I felt very unwelcome

Came over from LA Fitness, which has become dirty and dangerous place. Able to join at $10/ month, so what did I have to lose? Turned out to be a great decision. Super clean gym. With a friendly and helpful staff. Not over crowded, plenty of cardio machines and resistance equipment. Do wish there was more room for stretching and cool down, but all in all its a great deal.

Black Card Member , however definitely disappointed in ease is using the Black Card amenities.
1st experience was desk personnel never activated use of massage chair( needed to go back out to desk to inquire)

2nd experience was told after waiting 5 minutes to have it activated that “ well sometimes the WiFi crashes and desk can’t be held accountable to keep a watch because they have other duties ie. phone ringing”.

3rd experience was I checked in for an open time slot BUT was told “it was already taken by word of mouth and that I would have to wait or could choose something else” hmm sounds strange, I asked for a supervisor and no one was on site. Rodrigo only works M-F so out of luck. Inquired who is allocated in case of an emergency and again was told “ by Joe that basically if I had an issue to take it up with manager and he will take it to corporate because it would be awhile before corporate ever got back to me, and they were just doing their job” hmm again seems like PF in West Babylon could really care less about members. And BTW I do believe the people who reserved the massage chairs were friends of desk associates there for no need to upgrade to Black Card because friends get same services for free.
Do Not Recommend this facility for membership. Other ones maybe but can’t be certain. Could just be the corporate MO.

It’s been approximately two weeks since I’ve heard from anyone regarding my situation at planet fitness in West Babylon. A few weeks ago the leg press in the front of the gym failed on me. As I just finished my first set, I was about to do my second when the hydraulic in the back where I lay, my back randomly broke, and the weight of 315 pounds basically landed on my chest. When the altercation had happened, I went to the front desk and voiced my concern. The manager was the one who took the description of the incident, but did not follow up with a report or basic human decency to ask me if I was OK instead, she proceeded to talk to the person that was behind me because they lost their wallet. After I had left and called a planet fitness number and filed a report which they said I would get contacted within 3 to 5 business days. I followed up after seven days a no contact. Now it’s been approximately two weeks and nobody’s contacted me back after I called the number to file a report. I went to city MD within five minutes. I found out that I had a crushed knee and issues with my back and feet because of my disability. I’m more concerned about the fact that this was dismissed instead of following up on it the way that it was supposed to especially when I’ve paid for more than five years. I’m highly dissatisfied with how the situation was handled and obviously because everything needs to be taken a social media for something to hear and post it because it’s been approximately two weeks and nobody’s asked me if I was ok. If I could get a corporate number for somebody who’s above any type of planet fitness even if it’s the owner, it would be highly appreciate it because I said here on bedrest for approximately over a week because of this injury.

Rachel and Joe! I would like to take a minute to describe my amazing experience that I had with Rachel and Joe from front desk, I had an incident where I was not comfortable going to my car when it was dark due to a creepy guy trying to approach me a few times. I let them know and the way they both handled it was SO professional, helpful, and considerate. I was so relieved when they offered to walk me to my car whenever I feel uncomfortable, and even offered a separate parking space. I felt so much safer and was able to continue my workout without having to worry about how I’m gonna walk to my car at night. They really showed their concern for my safety.

Aside from this specific incident, Joe and Rachel are always smiling and greeting customers with a positive attitude. They make you feel welcome. They’re the best.
