Front desk staff was awesome. gym opened at 5 and they would always be super kind and welcoming at any time of the day, very spacious and a lot of people during peak hours so can get crowded, gym is well kept and maintained

Good luck using any free weights as people camp out in this corner for hours at a time

Still people are camped out in the weights area bags clothing in the floor and I’ve seen people sit at those machines for over an hour

I also addressed this with the front desk and all they said was “im sorry”

Very little has changed especially with the smith machines, people camped out with bags and weights all over the floor, today a man was using two machines and one member was carrying on a loud conversation on his phone, went to the front desk. Someone from the desk walked over and spoke to them and they continued to carry on with their bad gym manners sitting on benches carrying on loud cell phone conversations and hogging multiple machines. She went and got the manager, so she tried.

The weight machines are always tied up because people sit on them for way too long without rotating or sharing. I’ve had to wait over 40 minutes just for one machine, which makes it really hard to get a proper workout. The gym should set clear time limits or enforce etiquette so everyone has fair access.

First time I've tried this PF and I was very enthusiastic about the layout. Very different than all the PFs I've visited. Friendly and super helpful staff. It was busy by there was no wait for any machines. This will be my goto PF when I'm working down here as a travel nurse.

My daughter sighed up for the high school summer pass (14-19). We both went to the location to get information on how this works. Basically your underage child can go and work out with grown adults, male and females. There is no designated area or time frame. So that in itself is a major safety concern. We observed at this location alot of hidden work out space that were not visible to the workers if something were to happen to your teens, also alot of older grown men working out as well as women. This was not well thought after at all. Some parents will let their kids take advantage of this opportunity but who is looking after your 14 year old. Planet fitness cannot tell who is a criminal, abuser or be a security to anyone's child
While we were there they were only 1 front desk person and she had to leave the desk to ask her boss a question she didn't have the answer too. Parents be smart not every opportunity is a good one.

The location in White Plains, NY is fine. However, there staff is Rude and have no sense of customer service. Earlier week, when I asked the person at the front desk to give me his colleague's name, as I wanted to file a complaint against him for his rude behavior, the guy at the front desk refused to give me that Staff member's name and also refused to give me his name when I asked for it. He then was also rude to me and antagonized me. I therefore had to call the Police to have a Police report written up on the "Staff Member's" rude and antagonistic behavior. I then overheard the this staff member lying to the Police officer that he addressed me as "sir", which he had not done. Not that I am looking for that. This is just to show that he was trying to falsely show that he was courteous to me, which he was not. There website does not give contact information to there corporate office to file a complaint against the staff member/s at there locations. However, the names of there CEO and other senior executives are mentioned, to whom I intend to bring this behavior to there attention.

Once the COVID lockdown ended, our usual gym closed and after visiting a few local places, settled on the Scarsdale Planet Fitness, but then found the one in White Plains, an easier trip for us. Well equipped and spacious and with floor to ceiling windows, great lighting. Clean. Easy to find spray bottles and paper towels to wipe down our own equipment. Locker room is clean. Everything well maintained. Front desk always has someone there to help check in if necessary.

I joined the Scarsdale NY PF several years ago. It was good for my needs. I liked the trainer there who was early 70's, like myself, but he had the body of a 39 year old brain 45 ygɓr old

I'm told by Scarsdale PF staff , their trainer developed Alzheimers so he retired. I waited for a year but Scarsdale said there is a trainer in White Plains NY which I could use if I upgraded to black PF membership.

That trainer, Dwayne,is in his late 60's but he looks good and holds classes since he's in much demand.

I go to Dwayne's class and he breaks out exercises to match my osteo knee post surgery prescription.

I am very satisfied with PF.

So I've basically been paying a membership here for over 5 years. In the 5 years, I just started going. First off I want to say how rude the staff is there. Not all the staff but one guy. Don't know his name, anyway I was ready to get my workout and I needed water so I went to go buy a bottle. Comes out to 1 dollar and change. I already had.my.wallet secured in the locker so I tried using my ggogle pay wallet from my phone. For some reason it doesn't work. It's happened a few times with me here so I had to go back to the locker just to get my wallet. This time I was in a tight schedule and I asked if I can just pay on my way out. He grabs the bottle water and just stares at me. I'm like hey man I can literally just pay you when I leave. He said no. 5 years of them taking my money out of my account and for a dollar and change he didn't want to give me the bottle water that I was more than willing to pay for it on my way out. We'll looks like this planet fitness just lost a loyal customer. It's worth paying a little more extra for a better gym like hydrogen fitness. Plus it's 24 hours

Planet Fitness has everything I need to meet my fitness goals. The equipment is great. The facility is clean and well maintained. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The training classes are excellent because the trainer, Dwayne King, is fantastic. He really knows what he is doing and knows how to work with people so that they excel and feel stronger physically and mentally. Besides the fact that the workout is amazing, I feel good about myself after a class which is essential in an exercise program. Thank you for everything.

First of all I just wanted to say this gym is Goated 🐐 one of the best gyms I ever been too the coolest and nicest place to be in. Every time I go here around 5 or 6 pm I always see my guy Jay the guy daps me up more then how many times lebron James could ever get a ring. Jay always is one of the best employees in that gym. Shout to the morning and night crew they are out here protecting us and helping us in the gym like the marvel avengers. Shout to them 💯. Every time I walk into the gym it’s such a cool place. The staff at Planet Fitness, White Plains, are always bright and friendly. My morning chat with Calvin at the front desk is a highlight of my gym visit. The gym itself is massive with tons of different equipment that allows you to do various types of workouts. The workout machines are well maintained, and always kept clean. Bathrooms are always clean, at least at the times that I go there. It's uncommon that I need to wait around for a machine to open up, but I do wish they had more sets of dumbells in the weight room. A lot of the times I can't use a certain weight because someone else has it, which is frustrating when I'm trying to be strategic about the weights I'm training with. Otherwise, I highly recommend this gym.

Planet fitness needs to make it possible to cancel your membership without having to go in person to your home club because if you're seriously injured and can't workout or even make it to the gym at all to cancel theyll just keep charging hundreds of dollars in fees - it's impossible to get out of the contract and they won't take any requests to cancel over the phone no matter the circumstances.

No stars for Planet Fitness and specifically for the White Plains location. You are not offered any assistance. The team there never come to the second floor to assure that the equipment is used properly or made available for all. The customer service is non existent and even when you ask for help you will not get any. I have submitted feedback with the surveys on 2 separate occasions in the hopes to see some change. No change still the same. I stopped attending but maintained my membership. I also had a billing issue and when I tried to update my billing information because of how their system is set up I was charged late fee for 5 Months in a row. When I finally realized the issue the manager, Alex told me it was my fault essentially because I didn’t use the proper form of payment while they still accepted my payment at $15 more than what my membership fee was supposed to be. Total of $75 taken from me and by the way we will continue to charge you an additional $15 unless you provide us with new information.
Update their team did reach out to say sorry and perhaps you will consider us again in the future. SERIOUSLY !? They didn’t even ask about what happened or offer any further explanation or resolution.

Great gym but crowded to an annoying level. I can never be able to use the smith machines because there are only 5 ever and theyre nearly always occupied by somebody and there are long lines to use them, with some people literally sitting on the benches at the machines for long periods of time on their phones not working out. There is an unnecessary amount treadmills in the gym that are barely used. Its very annoying, this is the only part of my workouts where I have a consistent issue not being able to access the machine.

Do to its location, you got to pay to park, before you head to the gym. It’s cheap but if you’re like me and go often, it starts to add up.

you can expect some cold showers and there’s nothing complaining will do to fix that.

With the help of Planet Fitness workout equipment, I lost 20 lbs in early 2023 and I’ve kept the weight off all year long. Planet Fitness is close to home. The membership is very affordable. My body looks more muscular and I feel good knowing that I’m taking care of my health by showing up to PF White Plains.

Pf is good but this branch is not.
1. It is often too crowded with all machines kept occupied.
2. If you need to cancel membership, you have to go in person to cancel.
3. Even though you pay until the end of pay period, the moment you signed cancelation they kick you out of the app so that you can't use it despite paying.

I called them and the response was unfortunately we can't do anything it is an app issue, meanwhile contacting app saying it is a home gym issue. Stay clear away from this branch for your wellness.

Not a safe place. Had my locker, which I put a lock on, broken into while I was working out. The person then went through my clothes and took my money. When I reported it to the front desk they said another person had just recently told them they also had their lock cut off of their locker while they were working out and were robbed. They told me they are aware of the issue, but they will not reimburse me for my losses. They said they are aware they have some members that just come to the club to hang around the locker room to use the showers and bathroom. Be careful.

I can’t tell you much about it beside it’s not 24hr and it does actually exist. Because just like you I was second guessing coming here with only one review with no pictures, so I took the drive to just clear the air. I can tell you it was closed when I came because while writing this comment it says it’s open 24hr, but my pictures shows the real opening hrs as of today. I will say you won’t see it while driving unless you look up above the H&R Block sign you would need to park in the parking garage and then read the signs to find it while walking up to the second floor

Planet fitness in White Plains New York. This location is located in a little shopping area. You have chipotle right next door on the bottom level. This Planet Fitness is on the second floor of the building. They have everything you need like any other planet fitness out there. My visit was Monday July 3,2023.

As you drive up to Planet Fitness, you have to park on the street or in a garage to get to this location. The Planet Fitness is on the second floor like I said in my previous comment above. Parking is not free but I believe that Planet Fitness does help you with that. After reaching the second floor, You walk in to the gym and you have your check in desk on the left and mostly legs and stretching area on your right. Up stairs and all the cardio and the back of the gym is all weight machines and dumbbells. It’s pretty easy to navigate through the gym since it’s kinda small area. You also have your women and men’s locker room on the right when you first walk into the gym.

The staff was ok, You can tell they was definitely there to just get paid. You don’t get the usually “Hello welcome to Planet Fitness” or anything. Not even a smile. I did interact with one staff members and she was ok but wasn’t very happy about me asking for help. I think since I’m out of town, that might just be New York style but I don’t know. Just didn’t feel comfortable and welcome in the gym.

This place is a gym so being clean isn’t really a thing if that make sense. This Planet Fitness did looked very run down and just looks like somebody put a gym in their basement. The bathroom was pretty clean though which is a good thing. Usually at gyms, they are always nasty but not this gym.

I did leg day, The equipment felt like they was breaking on the smite machine. I put on 180 pounds to do squats and the machine felt broken and making a big noise. I just stop and went to other leg machines. It just didn’t felt safe. I also use a bar cover when I do squats because I don’t like the feeling on my back from the bar but the cover didn’t have padding. Very interesting to me. I still felt the entire bar on my back and wasn’t comfortable.

This Planet Fitness does have tanning beds and everything but this Planet Fitness tanning beds are out on the gym and not in the back area like other gyms does. I never seen that before. I bet people feels very uncomfortable tanning with everyone around.

This Planet Fitness just wasn’t the same like other Planet Fitness’s out there. No greeting, equipment felt bad to workout on and just wasn’t up kept machines. The other leg machines did work good but one of the legs press machines was out of order and I had wait another 30 minutes to use it.

I do and do not recommend this Planet Fitness. I recommend it if you just want a good workout and nothing else about it. I don’t recommend if you are use to a good gym with nice and friendly staff with up kept equipment then this gym isn’t for you. This gym just reminds of like a local gym and not a cooperate gym like Planet Fitness in my opinion.

Overcharging you Bad service. If you have a problem, nobody knows how to fix it. They charge you annual fee 2 month in Especially in White Plains. Not cleaning

Great location. The gym and the bathroom was very clean. The machines are new and updated. The treadmill is placed in front of the high ceiling windows. I really appreciate when the planet fitness have window views and not located in a basement :)

personally I loved the layout and the fact the machines had fans on them, it helped out during the workout more then I would have thought. I would go more often if I lived closer to that location.
