Personal Training, Strength Training, Athletic Improvement, Rehab. Ages teens through seniors. Also offering Online Coaching. We make house calls as well as training people online and in our gym in Poughkeepsie. A very unique approach to getting the body moving more effortlessly and increasing strength and mobility.
Excellent for current athletes, yoga practitioners, crossfit and people just wanting to get back into shape and able to move effortlessly. All welcome.

Michael's movement classes are like nothing I've ever experienced before. They are challenging but always accessible, regardless of your fitness level. I have been involved with martial arts for over 30 years but am coming back from a 5 year break due to illness. Michael's classes leave me energized, proud of what I could do (often things I didn't think I could) and determined to get better at the things that were hard. The movements are different to my usual training and the novelty is great for building strength and flexibility.

Michael has many years of experience as a personal trainer and it shows! He is easy-going, great at encouraging you and at breaking down things that are hard. He has so much knowledge about how your body works, and really knows how to motivate positively. I can't recommend this class highly enough!

I have worked as a Group Fitness instructor for 20 years and have trained with many personal trainers.
Mike introduced me to a different and unique styie of training. I love the challenge of training with gymnastic rings, as well as his movement approach to fitness training.
The fun of trying to progress with the challenges becomes addicting and so very fun. I have never had a personal trainer that has engaged me to this degree

Mike was one of my first Martial Arts Students back in 1980. Over the past 38 years we have remained close friends due to our mutual love of the Martial Arts, music and family. I have always been a huge fan of working out and staying in shape. As a matter of fact, it's become a way of life for me for over 40 years. I have always enjoyed many types of disciplines, not only in the Martial Arts but in total physical fitness. Although calisthenics has always been a main stay in what I do, Michael gave me a new view of that art. He turned me on to a neat discipline in the workout programs written in the Convict Conditioning offerings. Through Michael's lead and help I have found yet another great way to add to what I live by. His video's, coaching and friendship have lead me to better health. His recent inspiration in getting me involved with The Wim Hof method that instructs in a discipline of breathing and cold therapy has been a God send. This new way of life has made me healthier then ever before. I have not had a cold or have been sick in almost 2 years. I can not say enough about the dedication to getting people on the right track to health and fitness that Michael can lead you to. My advice to anyone that wants a better way to health and a better way of living is to contact Michael and GET WITH THE PROGRAM. It's too bad I can't give him more then 5 stars. He's that good at this game.

I have known Michael for more years than I care to admit. I have watched his fitness journey over the years and have been impressed with his dedication. Michael's personal example and advice allowed me to tone and lose 50 lbs in weight when I was at my heaviest . If you want to tone , get stronger, or just modify your eating habits to drop weight then you can't go wrong with Old School Fitness. Michael is personable, caring and wants the best for his clients !
