This is my daughter's second semester at this location. We recently moved from CT last year and she wanted to continue gymnastics. Luckily we found this place. She has had a great time and the coaches are fantastic. Coach Starr and Coach Ellie have been so sweet and supportive of my child and her passion. The coaches were awesome with the kids and helpful with set-up and clean-up, and the whole process was easy to schedule. This was our daughter's first year taking classes at Prospect Gymnastics in Ditmas Park. As a nine year old who had been enamored of gymnastics, she was thrilled to be able to join the warm and encouraging community of coaches and staff at PG. As she progressed, and participated in mock competitions later in the year, we were able to see how much progress she had made in her weekly classes. Her teammates were also so enthusiastic, and it was amazing to see these girls cheer each other on and have each other's back in the face of instances and uncertainty. Both my kids (5.5 and 8) love their classes and "teams" at Prospect Park gymnastics. They have been going there since they were toddlers. The staff/coaches are so warm, and it feels like a community. And although the Ditmas Park studio is small, it has a trampoline and bars and beam and floor and everything to get your kiddos energy out and help them learn gymnastics.

I have been bringing my 2 year old here for PG's open play sessions for a few months and she loves it. Though the space can feel a little small if there happen to be more kids than usual there's always room for her to tumble and bounce her crazies out. The staff are also great with the kids. Coach Bre does a fantastic job engaging with the kids which you don't always get from staff during open play times at other places. I'm stoked that this place is part of our community.

My daughter loves prospect gymnastics. The teachers are so fun and she can’t wait to go every week. Even though she’s learning so much it just feels like fun to her. We just had her birthday party there on Saturday and the kids had an exciting hour of gymnastics games while their parents got to hang out in peace in the backyard. We had my daughter’s 4th birthday party here with a group of 7 friends. The kids had a blast jumping on the trampoline and playing on the mats, rings, etc. Everything was super easy to coordinate with Tami and Coach Darcy was great with the kids during the party engaging with each one and making sure everyone knew each others names and felt comfortable and included. A few kids including my daughter are in classes there, but all the kids had a blast even those who were new to the space.

We did cake outside after play time and that was it! Perfect amount of time for little kids and glad I went with the “soft play” option for the 3 & 4 year olds.

I've visited this place maybe 3 times in 2022, and each time I went my toddler has gotten sick. I even spaced the timing of my visits to maybe a month or 2 apart and a few days later my baby was sick. I knew it was from here because we haven't visited anywhere else. The place is really small and I don't think that they disinfect it very well after everyone leaves. It also doesn't help that people bring kids there with visible runny noses. (It shouldn't be allowed in my opinion, although I haven't reviewed their sick policy) 1 year later, I recently had a conversation with a parent this week February 15th, 2023 who mentioned that her toddler has gotten sick after visiting. I am posting because I care, and wanted to share my experience. Hope it helps...even of it forces the staff to clean more.

The coaches were great and they also did a beautiful job setting up the outdoor space to make her birthday feel very festive and special. We had the BEST time at Prospect Gymnastics, thanks to Tami for helping us arrange all the details. On the day of our daughter's 3rd birthday party, Coach Bri was exceptional and so responsive to the kids’ energy and needs. She was super flexible with the weather and accommodating the pop up tent we borrowed from a friend. Rocky’s pizza (nearby vendor) delivered on time and the pies were piping hot - in case future parties need food options. It was a hit!

Our expectations for Prospect Gymnastics were definitely exceeded, and we talked the whole way home about how little we even noticed the bad weather. Our daughter loved it! Definitely a great, affordable option for a kid's birthday party!

Our two kids (4 & 6) attended Prospect Gymnastics summer camp for one or two weeks last year and LOVED it -- by far the favorite part of their summer. Gym is fairly small but has all the equipment (including a huge trampoline that they still haven't stopped talking about) as well as a backyard. Day is well structured with plenty of gymnastics instruction plus other activities, including crafts and a rest period, and includes a good chunk of outdoor time. Instructors are great. Hard to get in touch with via phone which can be frustrating, but very responsive and approachable on email and in person. All around lovely camp, and kids are counting down the days till they go again.

My daughter loves Prospect Gymnastics (PG). She has been going to PG for about 4 years now and I see so much improvement with her skills and focus. Last year she really enjoyed PG's summer camp. It was the first time she tried it and enjoyed the weekly routines they learned along with the engaging activities and the best part...the Friday mini show campers perform for family members. My 4-year-old had never taken gymnastics before, and is generally very nervous about trying something new. But she immediately loved her week of summer camp at Prospect Gymnastics. The teacher made her feel at ease, the program involved just the right mix of physical activity and arts & crafts, and she looked forward to returning each day. My daughter loves going to Prospect Gymnastics. She has been taking lessons for over 2 years now and has improved so much. She has learned the safe way of flipping around our apartment.
Considering everything going on with Covid19, they offered online classes 3x a week for her class. I was able to schedule her private lessons, following the new guidelines. It was reassuring to see all the equipment being wiped down before her lesson started. All of the staff had masks on as well.
Recommend this school for anyone looking for their children to gain structure, strength and fun while doing gymnastics.

My daughter has been with Prospect Gymnastics since its beginning. She chose it after being on the pre-team at both Brooklyn Gymnastics and Aviator, because she wanted a great community experience and a serious workout that wasn’t all about competition. I cannot begin to express how much I appreciate Prospect Gymnastics. My daughter began attending when she was 7, and now she is almost 11! The coaches are amazing. They are encouraging and supportive while teaching the students a variety of skills. They push them in a positive way, but do not push them beyond what they can handle. The classes are generally small, but no matter the size of the class, my daughter still gets a great deal of personal attention and the coaches work with her on the skills she needs to improve.

I was also impressed with the way the coaches maintained a connection with the students even when schools closed and everything went remote, They continued to hold virtual classes and connected with the students. Coach Breanna called our house to talk to my daughter and see how she was doing, and Coach Mina came and tumbled with my daughter in our backyard (equipped with mask and gloves of course). I am beyond grateful for Prospect Gymnastics for helping my daughter develop confidence and discipline while having fun and learning gymnastics!

I am here to say that our entire family was uber impressed by the studio's transition to remote learning in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The coaches continued to provide high quality online gymnastics classes. I was skeptical at first, but the classes have truly offered my daughter something to look forward to every week. They did an incredible job! The booking process was super simple and professional. The staff was amazing and helpful on the actual day of the birthday party. They took all the stress and trouble out of making a birthday party and made it into an enjoyable and easy experience.
The children had a fantastic time, and the coaches were so positive, encouraging and fun.

Prospect Gymnastics has provided my daughters with an excellent experience, taught them discipline and that hard work and training can lead to being able to accomplish anything. The most awesome and personable gymnastics experience in Brooklyn!

My baby attended as the owner cut tape several years ago. We missed a few years and rejoined our now 6 year old this summer for a weeks session entirely focusing on family.

Nothing less than an amazing experience. It was a perfect week with an amazing ending of dances tumbles and most of all, a unified front of children who seemed to ALL get along extremely well.

Congratulations of upkept success Mina, Brianna, Roneka and every staff member of each day. You ALL did a perfect job with the kids!

DO NOT SEND YOUR BLACK CHILDREN HERE! This my absolute 1st review ever online, but I felt so violated by this company that I had to. Do not send your child to this place if you are black. They charged me for my 4 years daughter a trial class for $20 with a group of kids but the white couple that came immediately behind us approx 8 received a trial class ALONE for free. When I was came up to pay both the owner Mina and especially the instructor was surprised I was paying. The difference was the owner recovered faster but the instructor looked at her like why is she giving us money - utterly confused. When I asked her why is she surprised I'm paying she said 'because she new she only started with us this summer'. The summer's almost over she's 3 months into the semester! I'm certain I'm not the first person taking a trial class with this instructor! oh please. Mina was very helpful at suggesting new places to take my child that was not there instead of trying to see if she could accommodate the scheduling. When she saw that I was uncomfortable with the situation she gave my daughter a free leotard which I wanted to give back to her but my kid was so pleased I held it in not to be petty. When I got home and I thought about the straight forward pissing in my shoes and telling me its raining routine for $20 I emailed her that she can take her leotard back and give me my money! The instructors are very darling and gentle with the kids. but the management is obviously very racist and if you don't speak up they will get the best of you while acting as if they are trying to help. Mina: as I told you before in which you saw me speaking to the parent I asked the child's parent if they were charged she said NO! So I am not lying! I don't want this $5 leotard that you are selling for $40! You gave it to me for free because as you stated "you felt bad" your behavior was unquestionable even as you joked you didn't know if the lil black kid in your company leotard was a girl or boy because of his hair! I will not remove my review! How dare you call me a liar when I spoke to the child's mom directly. As I stated to you before anything you charge for one child should be the same across the board. I will return this $40 leotard and you can keep that 20 bucks and let the next black kid try out for free! You tried to find us another class for us because you didn't want us there! Thanks for the one token black kid on your website 🙄 I will gladly pay more elsewhere for better service where I don't have to pay more than the white family. It took 4 days for your coach to get back to us! Your service is horrendous. The two young girls you have coaching were the nicest thing about your gym 🙄 And if you charged that family after I made a complaint I'm certain it's only because you don't want my statements to be true because the mom informed me her trial class for free when I told her oh they charged me she looked baffled! All she gave me was the I dunno shoulder shrug. Treat all families fairly! I don't care if your trial class is 100 buck as long as I am not the only one that has to pay $100. I'm done with this say whatever you want I'm taking my child elsewhere and you can have this leotard back and you can keep the $20.

My son has taken the Boys' Gymnastics classes at Prospect Gymnastics for a little over a year and has also done two weeks of the summer camp and a few of the weekend workshops. In all of these experiences, we have found the coaches and the director to be incredibly positive, organized, and fun-loving while maintaining the safety protocols necessary for a sport like gymnastics. Coach Mina and her team really care about their students and are focused on building confidence and having fun in addition to gaining skills. I sent my 3 year old daughter here for classes over the summer and it was great! The teachers are kind, firm , focused, and communicative. The space is perfect for younger kids! (My daughter was at a big gym in the city before this and didn't do well because she was so distracted by everything else going on and all the extra space.)
