I've been going to this gym for the past two years... Blink was fine. I hate the Pure Gym changes so much I may have to switch gyms. I don't want to step into a little pod or use an app on my phone to access a door. These changes are not practical or "streamlining my experience".

This gym is a complete joke. The majority of people are there to socialize and hang out, not actually exercise. People show up in groups and just sit around chatting, hogging up machines they're not even using. The people that are there solo feel entitled to take 5-10 minute breaks to scroll through their phone between every set and occupy the equipment way longer than they need to. The management and staff do nothing to discourage this behavior and it makes it impossible to get in a real workout here because you're always stuck waiting on someone, even when the gym isn't all that busy. I've never seen a gym with so many people just sitting around doing nothing. If I could afford to switch gyms, I would.

On top of that, while I was there today, they had 4-6 influencer types running around making social media videos for PureGym. These weren't gym members, they were PureGym employees. Like I said before, it's already hard to get in a decent workout here because it's so overcrowded, now I have to dodge these people setting up tripods, and literally dancing and playing around? Can't you find a time to do this when you're not interrupting paying customers trying to use the gym?

[Update] I wanted to write an update now that these "Entry Pods" are active. There's no polite way to put this, these are just stupid, terrible design. You now need an app to enter AND exit the gym. These pod doors are slow moving and can only be used by one person at a time. If people are entering the gym, you have to wait for them to use the pod just to leave. You could see the annoyed look on everyone's face trying to use these. I can only imagine what kind of backups and lines these are going to cause during the post-workday rush or on the weekends. Like others have pointed out, these are also a huge fire and safety hazard. Please rethink these doors. These were causing delays on an uncrowded Wednesday afternoon. These are going to be a disaster when the gym is actually busy. You need way more than just two of these if you want people to be able to enter and exit the gym efficiently.

[Another Update] They just got rid of half of the cardio machines to make room for a second giant cable station. The few bikes and ellipticals they have left all bounce and wobble around because the feet are uneven. These bikes and ellipticals have been like this since they were installed nearly two years ago. This is an easy fix that I've complained to management about several times in the past, but they've done nothing about it because this gym doesn't do even the simplest of maintenance on their equipment. The bare minimum you're expected to do as a gym is maintain and upkeep the workout equipment. It's wild how rapidly this place has gone down hill.

This is what the gym bathrooms are like. It's all filthy, everything is dirty, nothing is hygienic, the machines are completely covered in dust, everything is dirty. What a disappointment! Blink's was definitely different, please come back!

I appreciate the staff keeping the gym clean, but the janitor is always vacuuming while members are working out, which blows dust into their faces and isn’t healthy. It would be much better if vacuuming could be done before the gym opens or after it closes, so everyone can enjoy a clean and safe workout environment

This place as a Blink used to be one of the best Blinks. Now that it’s PureGym, I would tell people to join a different place and I’m looking elsewhere too.
The enter/exit through “pods” is the WORST. It slows the whole process and scanning to leave when my phone is almost dead is useless and crowds people at the doors which is a fire hazard. it makes me angry as soon as I get to the doors.
The layout for the new machines that no one asked for doesn’t make sense. Even the color scheme is bland and cookie-cutter gym. The Blink used to have each gym decorated specifically to the neighborhood at least. AND the staff here were nice and now they’ve just been replaced by a scanning system? No human level anymore. I feel like we were polled to ask what we wanted to give us the illusion of choice when PureGym/ Blink had already made up their minds what they were going to do. Truly, truly disappointing.

Man, this gym is like a second home to me. Specially after my ACL knee surgery. I’m post 4 months and hitting the bike hard. As the saying goes, “it’s not really the place, but the people in the place that make the environment”.. The management team at > PureGym < on Steinway, Astoria are professional and awesome & down to earth people. Energy’s never lie. I’m always happy when I go to this gym. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

They’re all about taking stealing your money . No way of canceling ,no refund . They over charged me ,no way of getting in contact , except through email and they put me in a 40$ plan on their own then when I ask for a lower plan they charge me again for a new membership very sneaky of them . Check all your charges with them . They are over pricing you . I liked it better when it was blink fitness . I haven’t seen any cleaning people either . And Woodside gym is a hot mess with dust and plastic all over the walls and they have the balls to charge full price .half the machines are gone . I need to cancel but they already charge me for two new memberships just because I wanted a lower plan . I got coned in Believing it would all be the same as blinkfittness . I will be canceling and going some where else but first I’ll Cancle my card so they can’t charge me more for their lies and sneaky way of operating their business. I see a law suit coming . Every one need to stay one top of their charges.

Yet another monument to the progression of our day to day alienation. Privacy and human interaction slowly disappear, more security cameras deck the ceilings in a quiet unblinking constellation. Normal doors are replaced by stifling pods that feel like more like a security checkpoint than a simple means of egress. Employees (who all are very helpful and friendly) greeting you at the door are replaced by a series of QR codes. The space, which remains well maintained and clean, begins to smell of the sweat of “progress,” “convenience,” and a new glute machine. Strange and uncomfortable times. I will continue to go as it’s the closest gym to my house.

Pure gym pods are the worst “upgrade” I’ve ever seen. Unsafe and inefficient. Great job cost cutting and eliminating jobs for this nonsense. The bathroom is the filthiest I’ve ever seen it. Removing the privacy screen downstairs is inviting women to feel unsafe. Whoever manages pure gym corporate is not human. Decent budget gym w lil room for it to get worse, somehow…..

Edit after the generic customer service reply: How many people need to report the unease with the lack of privacy screen before puregym presents a course of action? Keep the empty platitudes.

As many others have said, the installation of the pod doors has made this gym so much worse. It’s a serious safety/ fire hazard, claustrophobic, sizeist as you can’t fit in there if you’re over a certain size, and EXTREMELY inefficient as the doors take so long to open and close. It’s absurd that you need to exit through them as well because you always have to wait to leave now. When I’m done with my workout I just want to get out of there, not stand in line to leave! Also having the windows in the stretching room uncovered is another terrible change. I no longer want to use that room because I feel too exposed. Every single change that’s been made since the new ownership took over has been terrible.

Since management change they have cut staffing and tried to "automate" the gym entry. I have a blink membership through a third party provider that allows me access to multiple gym brands. I'm paying for blink access, but apparently I can't scan in with this app.

Vibe Killer Alert 🚨
PureGym really said, “Let’s make working out feel like airport security.” They managed to outdo Blink Fitness — and not in a good way. Same old machines (plus one random booty contraption no one uses), zero front desk staff, and now you have to scan yourself into a glass coffin just to enter. If you’ve got anxiety or claustrophobia, good luck. Nothing says “motivating gym experience” like standing in line to leave. Somehow, they made going to the gym even harder. Impressive, in the worst way.

Always full! Time to find another gym before the yearly fee.

I got scammed. Front staff told me this gym will be open 24/7 within a week back in late September. So i joined the gym hoping I can start working out in October. But hell this gym still hasn't opened for 24hrs. And I asked to speak with the manager for a refund or freeze my membership. Straight up refused. Waited another month for this gym to open 24hrs. November still no. I completely got scammed. I just canceled my membership with whole bunch of cancelations buy out fees. So basically within just 2 month, they stole more than $150 for nothing. Don't trust anything they say. Just don't join this gym. It's a scam.

I was initially excited and hopeful about the transition to PureGym, but many of the recent updates have fundamentally compromised member safety and security. Unfortunately, these changes feel like gimmicks rather than true improvements. The individual entry/exit pods are not only annoying and slow to go through (you have to wait in line to enter the gym), but I also question our general safety if an evacuation was needed. More concerning though was the removal of the film on the windows in the stretch area (which obviously was up there for a reason before). This window is street level right next to the subway entrance, allowing everyone inside to be on full display. As a woman it has made me feel uncomfortable to use that area and I would be hesitant to recommend this gym to other women. I will be reconsidering renewing my membership here if changes are not made.

STOP CUTTING COSTS BUT CHARGING THE SAME MEMBER PRICE!

Astoria Pure Gym is honestly awful, bring back Blink!

There are men cleaning the women’s bathrooms, and only one maintenance person responsible for the entire gym and all bathrooms. Completely unacceptable and unsafe for women and I feel bad for the worker.

I went on Sunday morning, and there was garbage all over the locker room. Came back Monday morning, and the same trash was still there LOL

Even worse, there was fluid on a toilet seat, and staff said there was no one available to clean it because maintenance was cut and the next person wasn’t scheduled until tomorrow.

The “soap” in the dispensers isn’t even real soap, it doesn’t foam, has no scent, and barely cleans.

There’s no hand sanitizer anywhere, and only one wipe station for the entire downstairs, and two for upstairs? which runs out by 1pm and isn't replaced.

And why is there still no frosted glass by the stretching area? It’s so uncomfortable as a women.

All these cost cuts, but somehow there’s money to paint the walls, hang meaningless “motivational” signs, and make the gym 24 hours and add those very expensive claustrophobic pods????

PUREGYM, why buy a company just to slash quality, cleanliness and safety?

If you can’t afford to run a proper gym, don’t.

BAD! INEFFICIENT! DANGEROUS! GREEDY! You must use pods to exit and leave the gym. You can’t use the door unless you’re in a wheel chair. You have to wait in line to get in and leave the gym. They’re very dangerous in emergency situations because the only door to leave stays locked. What if there’s a gas leak, fire, shooting, fight, black out, etc. The front door should not be locked with a key. That’s not emergency compliant. The worker told me that’s the emergency exit too and proceeded to lock it with a key. At least have a system where you can open it from the inside. If your phone dies, they make you buy a physical key fob. It’s idiotic. There’s more security than the airport.

The gym is conveniently located next to the subway station and easy to access. The machines are new and the spaces are clean. The entry system is troublesome and often non functional. The stretch area is located at the storefront where everyone entering the subway can watch you stretch. For some people feeling exposed is very unpleasant. Not everyone is exhibitionist in nature. Very inconsiderate of the company to use their patrons as advertisement display objects.

New "doors" suck. Staff used to be nice, now they seem miserable. Also restrooms are always super dirty, its like they only clean them once a day.

This place used to be good, the only issue was that it had way too many people, now it looks deserted in comparison, and I assume it has to do with the new changes.

I no longer feel safe working out downstairs. They've taken off the privacy screen and people now stand and watch you workout. It's horrifying at night. The entry pods are also the dumbest thing they could have done. The gym is empty nowadays as people have been choosing not to come. The feeling of community is gone. I've started a second membership at Planet Fitness. I've been coming to Blink for years. Now that it's under this new ownership, it's horrible.

Hi,

I am a longtime member of the Astoria location, which was previously Blink Fitness. Since the transition to Pure Gym Fitness, I have noticed a major decline in cleanliness and hygiene standards at this club.
Under Blink Fitness, there was always a staff member regularly cleaning and maintaining the bathrooms to keep them organized and sanitary. Now, there is no staff member present in the bathrooms, and the facilities are consistently dirty, poorly maintained, and have a strong odor each time I visit.
This change in standards is unacceptable and unsanitary for a public fitness facility. As a paying member, I expect clean and properly maintained restrooms. If there is no noticeable improvement within the next few days, I will be canceling my membership and filing a complaint with the New York State Department of Health and the Attorney General’s Office under the New York Health Club Services Act.
Please acknowledge receipt of this complaint and provide a written response detailing what steps will be taken to restore proper cleaning and maintenance standards at the Astoria Pure gym.

Since this became a PureGym it has gotten significantly worse. They have removed machines, benches, and weights. They have installed the most ludicrous door lock system requiring member to scan both in and out, which is terrible. The doors are slow and create a line to get either in or out. They are claustrophobic. They are size-ist: of you are not thin enough to fit inside you have to use the "handicap" door. I reached out directly to the company about this failure of a system and they never acknowledged or responded to my concerns. Do not join this gym.

Been going here for a couple of years- great for the price and convenient but the changes for puregym make the process of being able to come in and out really inconvenient. The door situation with the scanning and standing in the doorway to be let in and then also have to do that as we exit? Just takes too much time and I have no idea why this change was made? Can I just enter and exit as normal??

★ 2

It's a solid gym but they made an absurd change recently. For those who don't know, PureGym bought out Blink Fitness (the chain this gym was originally), which is fine, whatever. However, in doing so, they changed how you enter/exit the gym. Instead of a simple ID code/scan at the front desk, now they have you go through these ridiculous pods when you first walk in.

To enter or exit, you have to scan your code, enter the pod, wait for the door to close behind you, then wait for the door in front of you to open. You HAVE to go through the pod, I tried using the regular door right next to it but the staff won't let you, and I swear it takes 15-20 seconds to go through it all. That might not sound like a lot of time, but that queue of people trying to enter and leave is going to build up on some of the busier times, which is just creating traffic to enter the gym for no reason. On top of that, there's only TWO pods, which is just going to cause even more confusion between people trying to enter and leave.

And all of this for what? Nothing happens in the pod at all it's just a gimmick. Why did they do this? It's completely unnecessary! What was wrong with going up to the front desk and scanning your code? This gym would get a better rating if it wasn't for this waste of time they force you to deal with now.

The new changes at the gym have been annoying.
Like everyone else has mentioned, the pods are annoying and pointless. When it’s super busy, it’s annoying to wait in line for the pods just to get in AND leave.

But I would say the worst thing is the windows in the stretching room being uncovered. The gym is literally right next to the station, so there are always onlookers and it’s uncomfortable. Especially as a woman because creepy men do stare and look inside. Other people have complained about it, so I’m not sure why they haven’t done anything about this yet.

They blocked me from using the door and said I cannot leave unless I use the pods and scan the barcode on my phone. I was also told that if my phone dies, I need to purchase a physical key fob to leave. Are you serious?

I’ve been a member since 2018, and these are the worst changes yet. First of all, they erased most of the guest privileges while raising the prices. Blink used to be so welcoming to newcomers and using the guest pass was how I introduced many people to the gym. Secondly, they replaced the entrance with two revolving pods where you scan an app, the pod opens on your side, you step in, it closes on the side you came in, then the pod opens on the other side. You need to scan your phone app to get IN AND OUT. The pods only fit one person at a time so if someone is coming in, you must wait to get out. If there is a line, you must wait. There is in fact a door, but it is locked and according to the employee, you are only allowed to use it if you need accessibility accommodations. It stays locked and if you attempt to open it, an alarm sounds to alert everyone. The employee happened to be holding the door open to talk to someone, so I attempted to leave through the door and was then blocked by the employee from exiting and told to scan my phone app and use the pod. I hate how tight and enclosed the pods are and that I’m not allowed to use the door. I’m not handicapped so I can’t use the door? Ridiculous. The door stays locked and the workers stay in the office until help is needed to unlock it with a key. There are some serious safety concerns. I asked what happens if there is an emergency and we need to get out? The worker pointed at the door and said “we use this door.” I was confused because emergency exits are not supposed to be locked. I also asked how do leave if my phone dies, and was told I have to PURCHASE a physical key fob with a barcode. Everyone seems visibly annoyed leaving and entering.

Besides the serious safety concerns and forcing you to buy a physical key fob to leave if your phone dies, I can say that I do like the free weights and that there are cleaning wipes. Also, 2 out of the 3 sinks had no cold water.

Under the new management (PureGym) the main entrance has been replaced with revolving pod-style security doors.
Revolving doors are not compliant as emergency exits under standard fire and building safety codes. They can block or trap people in the event of a fire or other emergency. This raises serious concerns about code compliance and member safety.
This is not a minor issue — it’s a potential safety violation that needs to be addressed immediately. I strongly urge gym management and local fire authorities to inspect and correct this situation before an emergency happens. Member safety must come first.

Do not sign up here unless you enjoy being treated like a commodity. Go to Synergy or something. You have to download an app and create an account to enter AND EXIT this gym. This is a gross overreach of tech trying to squeeze money out of customers. Its antihuman.

If you forgot/don’t have your smartphone, it can’t connect to internet, or it’s battery dies, you CANNOT enter or exit the doors. Instead of employing people in the neighborhood they are paying some tech company to operate their doors. What happens if theres an emergency? Power outage?

“Oh now we can extend our hours.” What a load of bull. You could hire people in the community to work nights/evenings. Instead we get these locked doors that only open when you scan a QR code, which is inaccessible on airplane mode. Can’t screenshot it because it changes periodically.

If you care about money and jobs staying in Astoria, go somewhere else.

Awful gym. It's a sea of unused treadmills and not enough of anything else. The gym etiquette is resoundingly poor and unenforced. People, men especially, try to claim multiple machines for long stretches and get angry you push back. Don't even dare ask to work in, you might interrupt someone's doomscrolling. Wanna-be influencers don't care if you don't want to be in their feed.

Today I come in and not only are all the smith machines and squat racks taken by people not lifting, but I finally get a smith machine (one of two) and it's clearly on its last leg. I'm hopeful I don't get ringworm because there are no wipes.

I am a member here because there's one close to home and another close to work. And for no other gym is that true. Sadly, I think I need multiple gym memberships because, after 6 mos, I'm fed up and have spent more time waiting for machines than working out.

This gym is a complete disappointment. For starters, there are no sanitizing wipes or proper cleaning supplies available to wipe down benches and equipment after use which is absolutely unacceptable. In this day and age, ignoring basic hygiene is not just lazy, it’s irresponsible. Members are forced to use sweaty, dirty equipment because the gym can’t be bothered to provide cleaning options. It’s gross, unsanitary, and shows a total disregard for member health.
Second, let’s talk about the lack of equipment. There is only one leg extension machine and just one power tower for pull-ups/abs exercises in the entire gym. That might be fine for a tiny studio, but this place gets packed sometimes plus some members like to do 10 or more sets. I’m tired of waiting 15–20 minutes every time I want to do a basic exercise because the gym can’t be bothered to invest in more machines.

Clearly, management doesn’t care about member experience, safety, or cleanliness. If you’re serious about your fitness and your health, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Gracias.

This gym is great value for the cost! My main concern was whether it would be/feel clean, and so far it always has been spotless and they have employees constantly cleaning everywhere. The staff are friendly and available. Only downside is it gets VERY crowded, but I mainly use the cardio machines and there is almost always one available, even at peak times.

The gym is small. It's always packed out the ass from 5pm until closing maybe. The gym needs more machines instead of one of each. People hold up the machines talking, and texting. Most people here are not courteous, knowing there's lots of people waiting.I spend more time waiting to be next than my workouts. One time I was waiting on the Smith machine, the guy finished and a female came to it and said she was next. I asked how many sets you're doing and she replied it's going to be like 20 minutes. I went off to use other machines to kill the time but 45 minutes later she's still there. I ended up waiting by the smith machine so she can see me to know like hurry up already but she finished after another 20 minutes while waiting. More than an hour use knowing the gym is packed and others wanna use it. I only signed up to this gym to use the bench press and leg machines. The bench presses are no issue but the one leg machine I wanna use is a problem. There's only one quad and hamstring machine, the quad is always taken and someone else waiting. I would have to stay there watching it like a hawk that's on its last legs, starving, waiting for the right moment to strike.
If the gym can add more machines instead of having 50 treadmills, it'll be perfect.

I have been a member of Blink Fitness at this location since March 2024. Initially, my experience was positive—the gym provided everything I needed for my health and fitness.

However, over the past several months, I have become increasingly disappointed. As a deaf individual, I appreciate that most members are courteous and respectful. Unfortunately, some staff members, including management, have treated me differently since learning that I am deaf. They have been dismissive, unhelpful, and unwilling to address legitimate concerns. When individuals mocked me and other deaf members, management failed to take appropriate action.

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), gyms are public accommodations and are legally required to provide equal access and communication for all members, including those who are deaf. This includes ensuring an inclusive and respectful environment. The management at this location has failed to meet that standard.

Last summer, a manager mocked American Sign Language (ASL). While learning ASL to communicate is commendable, using it in a disrespectful manner is offensive and unacceptable. I also introduced three deaf friends to this gym, and each of them promptly canceled their memberships due to similar mistreatment.

Additionally, I have witnessed unprofessional behavior at this location. A personal trainer helped himself to a snack without paying, and when I reported the matter, a manager violated my privacy by revealing my name. I have also seen trainers engaging in inappropriate behavior with clients.

As someone with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from a deaf university, I received extensive training in personal training and professional ethics. The kind of misconduct I have observed at this gym would never be tolerated in a reputable establishment.

Deaf individuals are just as capable as anyone else. The only difference is that we do not hear—but we are equal. Discrimination and unprofessionalism have no place in any public fitness facility.

If you are deaf or have a disability, I strongly advise visiting this gym before committing to a membership. Based on my experience, Blink Fitness locations in Woodside and certain Manhattan gyms are far more inclusive and welcoming. If you are considering other alternatives, Planet Fitness may be a more suitable option.

Everyone has the right to share their experiences without fear of unfair treatment. Honest feedback is important, and no one should face retaliation simply for speaking the truth.

I love Steinway's location in Queens, New York. The entire interior of the gym is clean and the people who work are very friendly, they always greet you with a greeting, they say goodbye if I need help with something on a machine or something extra, you ask for it and they lend it to you like the bands, but the truth is it is very complete, no. I know but at the time I go I don't know if it's because of the time but even though it gets busy you can do your exercises use the machines without having to wait and wait for them to be vacated so I can finish my routine sooner I train type 8 to 8:30 in the morning and the best thing is that there are always many lockers in the bathrooms and outside. Another super thing that I like is that they have disinfectant wipes, trash and sanitizer in each area and the machines are now all new

The gym is absolutely horrible, the equipment is cheap, and there's only one of every piece, always taken or has a line of people waiting. Then people are just sitting on the phone on the equipment. And take the machine for about 30 minutes. Walked in once to check in and there was a girl who works there eating McDonald's behind the counter. Last thing you want to see when you enter a gym. It's also full of illegal immigrants who can't even answer your questions when you asked him how many sets they have left. If I can get this zero stars I would.

I have been going to this gym for as long as I can remember. The upgrade is cool, but for some reason I used to get a better work out before all these new machines came in. It feels that there aren't enough machines. The gym looks so spacious. Front desk employees are not the greatest greeters or the nicest to say good bye. I know you guys like to hire young employees, but it seems that your strategy of hiring young employees is not so much success. They tend to be on the phones most of the time and have attitudes. I guess this is why one keeps seeing new faces all the time. They don't last long. I recently had ANOTHER bad customer service. I forgot to bring my membership gym card (don't have the app no more). I got a bottle of water to pay and when I got to the counter, the employee was giving her back and talking to a trainer while on her cell phone. I decided not to get her attention and see how long it would take her to turn around. It took her about 8 seconds for her to notice that I was there. After I got out of the locker room she was still giving her back to the entrance. If you want to continue to hire young employees and are more aware of their cell phones rather than customers, then by all means keep doing so. But your reviews won't be great .

I’ve been a member for about 6 months now. The gym is okay- the machines are great, lots of treadmills (newly upgraded on the top floor). Though I don’t go often, it has never been extremely packed to where I have to wait a long time for a machine. Seems like they have multiple machines on the top and lower level, some even repeated due to popularity like the chest fly. Bathroom could be cleaner- in the stalls and showers. Your average mid level gym. Staff aren’t too friendly, I’m rarely greeted when I go in or leave.

However, I had an issue with making two accounts and being charged monthly for twice, the manager did an excellent job at quickly processing my claim and getting the other account cancelled as well as all of those charges refunded for me. It was difficult to get in contact with the manager, took about a week/ week and a half of other staff telling me that they or he would call me back and it never happened. Going in-person and talking to him got it resolved much quicker. This I did appreciate.

The gym is nice, clean, has enough space, they changed all the machines which is amazing, the people are friendly too. My only concern is the space where we stretch just below the weight area upstairs, every time you can hear noises like the ceiling is going to give way and collapse, I really don't feel safe in that area. Blink should consider moving the weights area to the ground floor, just a suggestion.

Love the space. Only thing I will say, employees can be more aware of the guests when they're on shift and less on their personal agenda. Was given an attitude from a female employee when I called in because I left something. When I got back to the location, she was busy doing her own thing and had forgotten all about it. I had to walk I to the room and search it for myself. Thankfully it was still there. If there rolls were reversed, I'm sure she would have expected high quality service as well. I doubt people ever ask for a lot there. So in such emergencies, a little extra energy and attention isnt much to ask for. Now if they don't want to do that, I'm sure there a lot of other people who need work and would be willing to be more attentive. This only sets a standard and expectation of the quality for the business. The bar is always lower from there.

A great value for a decent gym if you’re just looking to get some movement in each week. Monthly memberships range from $15-25/month, there’s generally a special to get the first month for free and there are plans where you can bring guests. Each membership comes with a free training session, which are so reasonably priced if you sign up, something like $30-40 per session. Some coaches even let you bring your partner or friend to train with so it’s like a 2 for 1 deal.

There are plenty of cardio and strength machines and you’ll never have to wait for free weights. It is limited on squat and power racks, which are usually taken. People are generally very polite and the staff is always cleaning. This is the cleanest gym I’ve been to, it’s always spotless. As a repeat customer, I can say this is definitely a great gym if you’re on a budget and not expecting something upscale, there are ones nearby that are fancier or offer more amenities, but I always get a good workout in and have the best experience when I avoid the rush hour so machines are usually more free.

I was a member of this gym when it first opened. During COVID, it was impossible to get in so I went to Planet Fitness. Once COVID restrictions eased, I went back to Blink. I have been going to commercial gyms since the 80s and this location is scraping the bottom of the barrel. The staff isn't trained to interact with the public. They prefer to chat amongst themselves and seem disturbed when people enter the gym or greet them. The gym is basic as best. A few places to bench, squat, or do other machines. But it is always crowded with people who don't lift, spend 30 minutes on a station while texting or chatting with the staff member who flirts with them. Unless you are chummy with someone who works there, forget it, you are on your own. Then there are the gym divas who parade around with their cameras looking for social media clout. Annoying and entitled. There are a few areas for people who train but it seems like some sort of cult you need to be initiated into. There are kids barely out of diapers hogging machines while doing nothing. They raised the prices too. For what i don't know. The equipment hasn't changed as the cardio machines still have iPhone 4 charging ports. There is usually an elliptical machine available if that is what you are looking for. Good luck trying to get in shape here.

Stars because the staff is always friendly and helpful, and the gym is pretty clean.

Hours are horrendous, and its always packed. Fixing the hours so the gym is open later/earlier would make the experience here much better for people working different schedules, and can help fix the overcrowding issue too.

Several of the weight machines are broken/old and could use an update. Could use barbells and punching bag options as well

Would definitely raise to 5 stars if the hours extended (especially on weekends!). 6am-2am on most days would be great.
