I joined QDA shortly after they opened in 2016, and have not looked back since! The combination of programming and knowledgeable coaching staff is what makes the workouts effective for everyone who walks through the doors. I had coached CrossFit at another facility owned by Dr Dennis Lesniak in years prior, and was excited to be brought on staff at his new facility in 2017. My tenure as an athlete and coach is a testament to the high quality classes and services that are offered here. Plus, we have a lot of fun! Come check it out!

My previous CrossFit experience was not a great one so I was reluctant to start again. QDA has been fantastic for my physical and mental well being. The progress I’ve seen in a little over a year has been head and shoulders above my previous 3 year stint. The coaching and programming is fantastic. The community is welcoming and encouraging. I would highly recommend QDA regardless of where you are in your fitness journey.

Love that the coaches are all adaptable and flexible with modifications. I broke my wrist a week ago and while an injury like this would be discouraging to go to the gym with at all, they have all been attentive to include creative modifications for me so that I can also get a good workout in while staying off that wrist. They keep my safety as a priority and still manage to challenge me.

The gym provides a great atmosphere to workout and be yourself. No matter your skill level there is a workout for you! Always feel welcomed and encouraged. It’s a great place to get some ‘you time’ for an hour! Highly recommend!

QDA is a great gym in an easy location in downtown Buffalo. I started here in 2021 and have grown in strength mentally and physically. I’ve become a better athlete because of the impeccable programming, coaching and encouragement from the coaches and other athletes allowing me to grow from the first days I started. There are always modifications to any movement allowing anyone the chance to do the workouts. All the coaches are exceptionally knowledgeable about the movements and work with every athlete to help them reach their potential. I absolutely love the atmosphere. Never do I regret signing up for class. They truly make CrossFit for everyone.

I've been going to QDA for about 1-1/2 years now and it's become addicting. The atmosphere is competitive but inclusive for any skill level. They just ask that you bring your best consistently.
The coaches also practice what they preach. You'll find them (including Dennis the owner) working out daily right next to you in class. I love the push and getting taught the correct techniques at the same time.
I also appreciate how the daily program fits all different skill levels - advanced down to just starting out. So no matter where you are in your fitness journey, you are welcome!

I just joined this gym a little bit ago, love it here! It's a great spot to start out / or jump in the cross fit community. I really like that each class is different and structured to have a great work out. I always feel 110% when I leave!!
Shout out to all the amazing coaches here, they'll help you with any questions, form and safety. They go over each class, exercise and level, making sure you know what you're doing before hand.
The gym has plenty of space, well kept and very clean!!

CrossFit is great because all of the planning has been done for you - you show up and put in work. CrossFit at QDA is another level. The programming is top notch: the workouts are varied and always interesting, they’re expertly designed to make you work just a little harder than you wanted to, and there’s always a special surprise on Friday!! Highly recommend checking it out.

I learned about this gym 3 plus years ago. It was the best decision of my life to walk through the doors. I am considerable stronger no and healthier. It is wonderful going to a gym with trainers who pay attention to you and help you reach goals everyday. I’m probably one of the oldest members in age. Dennis the owner is very involved and an inspiration. Having a masters in nutrition and being a chiropractor is also beneficial. I love the can do attitudes of staff and all the members. Everyone encourages you to do your personal best. I’m so happy I made the commitment to get stronger

Quarterdeck Athletics is great if you’re just starting out with CrossFit or you’re a seasoned athlete! The coaches take the time and make the effort to make your successful. Whether it’s correcting your form, mastering a new lift, or just cheering you on mid struggle, they really make the difference. A fun and welcoming atmosphere to work hard and see results!

If you are looking for somewhere that will change you, look no further. The coaching is great- the right amount of encouragement and pushing you to be your best. Can't say enough about a place where I actually enjoy going to sweat and to be around others. Workouts are set with every level of athlete in mind, so anyone can be successful! I know the word "CrossFit" sounds scary to some and it used to scare me, but when I think back to how much I have grown as a person since I started coming in 2017, I know I could not have done so in any other gym. Even after developing a vestibular condition a few years back, I can still come and get a fantastic workout in. The coaches will absolutely work with you to ensure that.
Plus, Dennis is an AMAZING chiropractor! I have definitely hobbled into see him for treatment and then taken class afterwards feeling fantastic.

There is not a more diverse gym in buffalo. I true place where everyone and anyone is welcome. Its a community that supports each other to both work hard and play hard. I have developed so much mental toughness that I can then apply in my regular day to day. Can't say enough good about this place.

For the better part of my 38 years on this planet I’ve been a fairly sedentary person. At times I have tried to go to gyms, run, and be active but with the exception of hiking, few things stuck. I am going on one year at QDA and I have consistently worked out more than I ever have in my life. It’s more than just a gym and it’s more than just CrossFit. The coaches and the athletes create an incredible community that is open, welcoming, supportive and inclusive. No matter your age or your physical abilities—you are welcome here. A year later I am stronger, happier, and healthier because of QDA.

I did crossfit at a few other gyms before coming to QDA. Had good experiences at other gyms, but my life changed when i came to QDA. From the programming to the coaching, i saw a difference immediately. This difference worked so well for me, and many others. I have seen my skills, strength, ability, and endurance get way better. I have noticed that i have seen improvements in many other activities in life. 5 stars!!! I highly recommend to anyone of amy fitness level

In my 6+ months at QDA I have found an inclusive community and a professional staff that challenges athletes to improve. The workouts are challenging but not frustrating and never boring. The coaches really do care about your growth as an athlete. They provide ample support to learn new skills, improve your current ones and really nail down the basics of CrossFit. The facility is nice and the people are even nicer. This place makes you feel like you are part of this really wholesome community. CrossFit or otherwise.

This is an excellent gym. All of the trainers provide great feedback to help you learn and grow no matter where you are in your fitness journey. The workout of the day is typically offered in 3-5 levels to ensure you have a good workout even if you are brand new to cross fit. I started a little less than six months ago and can say that I can do things that I never thought I would be able to. A big part of this is due to the Sunday Skills Class where you practice one skill (like pistol squats, handstand pushups, pullups, etc.) for four weeks to get stronger and develop better technique. Everyone is very nice and welcoming so don't be nervous to stop in and give it a try! You won't regret joining this gym!

I started out at QDA regularly in early 2021, first with personal training and later as a monthly member. Dennis and the rest of his team are excellent coaches. Both the personal training and classes are scaled to your abilities, while still challenging enough to you personally to push yourself each time to improve. Physically I have not felt better than I do now in years, which is directly related to the programming, support, and energy QDA supplies. I high recommend QDA for drop ins, personal training, membership, and nutrition!

I purchased a day membership/ drop in from Dennis last week. Class reservation was easy utilizing their MINDBODY app. I showed early and met Dennis to take care of a few questionnaires.....super nice guy. Dennis gave me a quick tour of the box and equipment. His gym is top notch, the location is new, and the equipment and rigs are well organized. Class was a heavy on the power cleans but Dennis did a fantastic job of instruction. He interjected the right amount of feedback on form and motivation when fatigue started to set in. I improved my power clean form and weight significantly that morning. Thanks Dennis for a great workout.....I’ll return on my next trip in town!!

I had looked up this place on the crossfit affiliate map when looking for a place to get my WOD in while in from out of town. I decided to check it out amongst the few available in the area near downtown Buffalo. I was impressed by the facility and its ability to be a crossfit box in a historic building (basement of the Lafayette hotel). Everyone was very welcoming to me as a drop-in. Dennis was the coach for the class. We did a endurance EMOM workout that was unlike any other I had done before. He was good at keeping us in good form, kept up our intensity as we got into the halfway point of the 40 minute workout, and brought us into the home stretch with encouragement. Afterward, I worked on some skills and accessories during open gym time. the place had everything I needed. I enjoyed the workout, the people and the place. I will be back when I come back to town.

The coaches are phenomenal- they really try to get to know you and your skill set, so they know when to push and how hard. The community is one of the most supportive group of people I’ve ever come across. I’ve always felt very self conscious when working out, but I feel right at home at QDA. You will not get better CrossFit coaching anywhere in Buffalo. The owner knows his stuff. I came here for a week while on vacation and learned a ton. The equipment is good and the location is very cool but you might want to get here early as it is a little hard to find. Plenty of parking though.
