Mido is an excellent traininer. He works hard for your all around wellness. Mido is not only interested in your physical fitness, but in your nutrition and mental fitness. He challenges you positively, and has been a friend to our entire family. His backstory is incredible, and we are fortunate for the inspiration he provides.

I have been using the Rochester school of school of fitness since 2001.. Am a 90-year-old seeing Mido three times a week with nothing but excellent results… His efforts to keep me healthy have paid off BIG as I’m playing golf three times a week and participating in bicycling, etc. etc…. I cannot emphasize the professionalism and care that I have received from Mido!!!

I have been working out with Mido since 2008. I have attended both personal training sessions and classes, and I am currently attending 4 classes per week. I am not sure where the current negative reviews are coming from, since in roughly 17 years of attending classes and personal training sessions I have never heard Mido utter a rude word to either me or other class attendees.
I began training with Mido after regular attendance at another local gym, and thought I was in decent shape. Not only was I able to significantly improve upon my fitness level, but I also learned about healthy eating habits. Since I started with Mido I have lost 15 pounds and have managed to keep it off.
Mido is excellent at making sure that the exercises are appropriate for the individual. During the sessions, he watches all of the attendees closely, and will ensure that we are all using correct form so that we do not injure ourselves. He challenges each of us, but will never push us beyond a safe limit. His diligence is the same whether it is a personal training session or a class with 10 people.
I highly recommend Mido and the RSF program.

Rochester School of Fitness is different than other gyms and fitness centers. Mido works individually with each client to help the client formulate their goals and a plan to attain them. He also offers group training sessions where the client can team up with a group of individuals to help stay accountable to their individual plans. The group sessions are very affordable and are available at many flexible times during the week. Since 2009, Rochester School of Fitness is the only program that has worked for me. I view my investment with Mido as a life insurance policy. Thanks Mido!

I've been going to Rochester School of Fitness for over 12 years, and it's one of the best long-term decisions I've made for my health. RSF offers an excellent workout for EVERYONE, of any age... from the young athlete seeking expert training, to people with limitations due to injuries, and senior citizens. The trainers are highly qualified due to their background and training in obtaining a Bachelor's degree in exercise physiology, as opposed to a mere certification, so they understand the importance of injury prevention, while at the same time providing a very challenging workout on an individualized basis, even in the group class setting. They supplement their classes with weekly emails regarding nutrition, research, recipes, articles pertaining to exercise, and tips to stay healthy. No matter what your state of health, RSF has something to offer everyone. Give them a try; you won't be sorry!

Both of my kids trained at RSF when they were in high school. Mido is a fantastic trainer for teenagers. Not only does he instruct them and push them during the workouts, he is also a role model and mentor to the students. Coaches do a lot more than create athletes, they influence the person's life, and Mido is certainly the type of coach that an athlete will remember forever.

When our son was 9 our pediatrician told us that he was tracking towards obesity. We could see he was a little chubby but assumed it was just baby fat. Unfortunately, the only advice the pediatrician gave us was to draw a pie chart explaining USDA food recommendations. This was not only insulting but useless. Needless to say, we left her practice. But our next pediatrician didn’t have much more to offer besides suggesting different sports our son might explore. Frustrated, I took to the internet and found the Rochester School of Fitness and the Fitness 101 program for kids 8-18 who struggle with weight. Fitness 101 is a fun, in depth program taught in a supportive but firm style. And it WORKS if, as a parent, you are willing to go on the journey with your child. Which means changing your own bad habits. It’s been transformative for us as a family (I lost 10 lbs!) and has changed the course of our son’s life. He is now at a healthy weight and has been armed with healthy strategies and habits to carry him on. How great is that???

I first began taking 1 hour personal training sessions from Mido Zelenjakovic at Rochester School of Fitness in 2008 and he has been of tremendous help in helping me reach my personal fitness goals and setting new ones. Mido’s genuine positive attitude and high energy help to make him a very motivating and also comfortable person to be around.
My initial 2008 goal was only to get in better shape, but I soon found out from Mido that food choices are a very big part of that. So the specific goals have changed over time to include developing healthier eating habits. During training sessions we now review my food choices and exercise since our previous monthly session. When goals are not reached Mido helps me to identify what obstacles are getting in the way and provides strategy for overcoming that obstacle so the goal can be reached. Mido's experience as an athlete along with his knowledge of nutrition, athletic training, and physical fitness gives him excellent insight into what I've needed to do to develop effective exercise and eating habits.
Due to my own reluctance to change long developed unhealthy food habits and stubbornness, it has taken me several years to develop these new healthier habits and meet some of the goals set years ago. However, the time invested in doing so has been well worth it. Without the monthly training sessions with Mido these positive lifestyle changes would not have taken place.
There have been many months where I got off track and didn’t reach my goals. The monthly Mido training sessions though helped me to not give up, refocus on them, get back on track, and eventually meet the goal. He reminds me of my goals in a very truthful manner that is also respectful and non-judgmental. This has been very effective in getting me to continue working towards achieving the long-term goals, which has essentially been to get in good shape and is being achieved by changing how I live life in the area of exercise and eating.
Weight loss has never really been one of my specific goals, but has taken place gradually and been a very good side benefit of the training sessions and making healthier food choices with good consistent exercise. My weight was 205-210 during initial training sessions and has gradually gone down to a much healthier 175-180. At no point in time however did I go on a diet. What happened was I followed the advice of Mido on how to develop healthier eating habits and create a workout routine that I’d stick with.
I highly recommend Mido Zelenjakovic as a personal trainer to anyone who wants to improve their health and physical conditioning. The concepts and principles Mido teaches on how to live a healthy life thru safe exercise and good food choices, along with coaching on how to meet goals and set new ones is excellent and made cost of $55 per one hour session well worth the expense.

There's nothing like the Rochester School of Fitness! My family has used the gym and the services of Mido for more than 10 years! He's helped to guide and inspire my children in athletic pursuits and weight loss/training endeavors. I have been a client of Rochester school of Fitness for over 2 years. When I started I had severe back issues that made me hang up my running shoes and I was concerned that the back issues would get worse and that I would lose my fitness when I stopped running. After 2 years training with Mido my back and core are much stronger and I am in overall much better shape, even though I am not running anymore. Mido tailors his workouts and changes them up a lot to achieve the best training, and the sessions are very fun as well as physically challenging. I highly recommend Mido, you will never find a better, harder working personal trainer who is more committed to your health and fitness.

I’ve been training with Mido for over 5 years now and he is one of the most caring and committed trainers I've ever worked with. Mido has been there for me through any number of health issues over the years and his concern and caring has helped me through each one.
His workouts are challenging but he seems to know just how hard to push. I trust him to make sure that my technique is correct and he is always careful to make sure we don't get injured. Mido is responsible and reliable and flexible and just truly a good person. There is something about him that makes you want to show up and work hard.
