Emma Wozniak is an OUTSTANDING instructor. My 3 year old daughter has shown tremendous growth while swimming with her. She makes the lesson fun and exciting. She is patient and teaches my daughter safety skills if the water along with the proper technique in a fun way that my daughter loves to learn. I am so grateful for Emma!

Carlos is my son’s teacher and goes above and beyond during his swim lesson! He is patient and kind and understanding towards my son. My son has become a confident swimmer and a great swimmer because of Carlos. He makes the lesson enjoyable while teaching the importance of water safety. I am truly grateful for all he has done.

Oriana is the girl to go! She taught all 7 of my grandkids, one of whom has a learning disability and can be very challenging. Oris patience and kindness with her was absolutely outstanding!! So we signed our son up in June who does know how to swim , but to learn more and i'm
not going to sugar coat this , as there were a few times the pool had to be shut down, which was frustrating as a new client, so we were very adamant about continuing, however Kristin was so beyond helpful and called and spoke to us and I feel she was doing everything she could to follow the proper protocol as to why the pool had to be shut down when it did , we stuck it out and moving forward we are still here , my son loves it here and the instructors are just amazing , super helpful, and really go
above & beyond for our son , who just loves his instructor Jushin. I'm so glad Kristin followed up and we continued to go, she really is a one of a kind caring person and wants you to be a satisfied and a happy client along with your child wanting to keep coming. Have had multiple issues with Saf-T-Swim with regarding to billing and cancellations. They change instructor whenever they need to -- but refuse to refund charges for those classes (only issue a make-up, which can be meaningless/useless). My son has been a student with Saf-T Swim since he was an infant. We’ve had a few teachers and while they were all great, his current teacher, Trish, is absolutely wonderful! Trish’s approach is gentle yet structured, which is key for toddlers. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the experience at the recent swim party we hosted at your venue. As returning customers, my expectations were high, but unfortunately, the service and treatment we received from Andrea were far below what should be expected, particularly given that we paid for this event.

From the moment we arrived, I was met with an unprofessional and combative attitude by her. I was simply trying to communicate the setup preferences I had in mind, but instead of receiving assistance or understanding, I encountered resistance and rudeness in EVERY ASPECT. Her dismissive responses to my requests was not only frustrating, but also surprising given that we had previously used this venue and had a positive experience.

Throughout the event, everyone noticed a lack of courtesy and professionalism. At one point, it was mentioned that she was overheard saying she “didn’t have time for this” while speaking with a coworker, which left me feeling completely disregarded as a paying guest. She requested to no longer be the host and lifeguard instead. Thankfully this was the better option because she was extremely rude and uncooperative. I understand that hosting events can be challenging, but it is no excuse for treating customers in such a disrespectful manner.

As someone who has paid for a service, I expect to be treated with respect and professionalism, especially during an event as important as a birthday celebration. Unfortunately, this experience has left a negative impression, and I am deeply disappointed by the way the situation was handled. Our relationship with Safe-T swim is now severed.

I hope that they take this feedback into consideration, as no guest should ever have to feel belittled or dismissed, particularly when paying for a service.

I do want to add that Hailey who was the host was remarkable and tried her best to make things better. She was lovely and is not apart of this review.

Jake has done SO well with his instructor, Carlos. I honestly cannot believe the change. Just a few months ago he was terrified of the pool. His lessons with Carlos have been life changing. Not only is he not afraid of the water, he LOVES it. He thrives in the pool. He so looks forward to his lessons every week, and he even talks about joining the swimming team at school when he's a little older. These lessons have been worth every penny.

It started by working with Winsha at the front desk....she was kind and knowledgable and when I mentioned that my 2 year old daughter is a "shy" kid she recommended Hannah, saying that she was great with kids who are slow to warm up. And she was!!!! Hannah has been so patient with our daughter in helping to build her confidence as well as having fun. We have been so grateful for her as an instructor. She has also been very clear about when she would be missing a lesson. Always giving us a heads up. And when she couldn't make it, she set us up with Carlos and he is wonderful too ! He is very creative with the kids in explaining the skills...he gives great verbal instruction as well as physical. Overall for our daughters first experiences swimming we could not be happier

This review is for the location on Browns Rd. in Nesconset, which is conveniently no longer listed on Google… What began as a good experience ended as a nightmare! Our teacher cancelled an ENTIRE month of classes to which I continually asked her if we would receive a refund or could apply the tuition to the following month since SHE was the one who couldn't come to work for the month. She repeatedly told me she didn't see why not and would get back to me but never did. This lead to me calling MULTIPLE times inquiring about the fact that I paid for a month of classes I did not receive. I was told that someone would call me back or send me an email to help. NOBODY ever called me back or sent an email. THEN they have the audacity to charge me for ANOTHER month! I told them we were done at that point. I cancelled. And now they refuse to refund me for TWO MONTHS of classes my kids DID NOT receive. This is absolutely crooked and disgusting. I have been forced to dispute with VISA now over these charges and if that doesn't work rest assured I will be involving my lawyer. Horribly disappointing after having such a pleasant relationship with them for well over a year.

I can only speak to the COMMACK Saf t swim location. I love it here. The people who manage it, Megan and Lexi are amazing. They are helpful and kind. The staff Claudia, Oriante, Lauren, Trish are all incredible. And the swim instructors are amazing too. It is very costly but two of my children just ended their training and are super strong swimmers. My 7 year old is such a strong swimmer he goes in the ocean with the waves. My 4 year old fell in the pool off a slide without his swimmies. The wall was too far away for him to reach but he treaded water for about a minute until one of us swam to him. I highly recommend the COMMACK saf t swim!

Had the second class for my 2 year old today. Last week they were great, despite him screaming literally the entire 30 min. Today I walked in and was about to cancel with my son screaming again but Megan insisted we try. She volunteered to teach him (she was not assigned to him) and was fantastic. My son has enjoyed Saf-T swim of Commack. It’s always so clean and the staff is helpful and wonderful. My son is 2.5 and he’s not scared of the water. We tried another place and it wasn’t conducive to young kids. Saf T swim is meant for kids and it’s inviting and playful. My only complaint is that the sessions can be expensive. They use to have more deals, but they got rid of it. But for the water safety for my son I don’t mind paying. Also we have had some instructor turn around, but current and consistently we have had Nina and absolutely love her!!! She is so incredible with my son. She’s a great teacher and so kind. No idea about the classes or instructors bc we had pulled into parking lot and were walking in for the class they called us literally 2 minutes before it was supposed to start and said they had to cancel they double booked us. We had called a half hour prior to confirm they had the required baiting suits and let them know we didn’t receive the paperwork gave our info and time appointment and they didn’t mention it and said we’ll see you then. Thankfully he’s too young to realize what’s going on but can’t imagine if he actually was of age to understand. Spoke with a friend and apparently this is common and she always had the same issue, double booking or instructors not showing up and constantly cancelling which is why she stopped bringing her daughter. her cousin had similar issues as well all with this specific saf-t-swim which leads me to write this review. Wanting to reschedule for my son but after learning this is common practice I am now rethinking using this establishment. This double booking should have been realized prior to customers walking in for their classes.

Today is a bitter sweet day for my children and I. We have been part of the safety swim family for 8 years at the commack location. We have never missed a session and barely ever had make-ups. We have enjoyed so much coming weekly and getting lessons from some amazing instructors! Shout out to Brenna, Brittnay, Kelly, Stevie, Orianna, Dylan, Nick and the rest of the staff! My two children have achieved their level 10 and are ready to move to swim competition and league and we are so excited to continue watching their skills develop. Let me start by saying, the staff behind the desk are extremely kind. No one was ever rude at all and it seems they are unfortunately victims of Saf-T swim becoming very cooperate in a way. To begin my story, my sisters when they were little went to Saf-T-Swim, it was really great awhile back, when I was born which was in the 2000s, my parents sadly couldn't afford lessons because of the 2006 recession. Thankfully things gotten better since then and my parents felt bad that I never got official swim lessons and my dad taught me, so they asked me if I would take lessons to get better and get quality swim lessons especially since my college major involves ship work and working out on the sea. (I also felt the same as well.) They paid for my lessons. To begin my review finally, I am an adult learner. So for kids I have no idea but I just want to warn that none of the workers are WSI, they were nice and great but I had problems with some. I never commented or shared my problems with the instructor since I didn't want to be rude, they are all young and around my age so I get it. But it's super scary that this place is running swim lessons with no one being WSI, maybe the older workers are I hope. I also went through 4 instructors since of schedule changing. With my first one, was not shown to float, literally just told to kick my legs (With my first instructor I was kicking my legs wrong for 2 months straight until my new one... yikes) and the original instructor told me I was wrong and we did went over floating. I don't want to be that person but I remember things very well, and I told my instructor kindly that we did not go over the basics and never used things like fins and I wanted to start at the first level. They basically ignore it and just told me to keep swimming and I told them I did not feel OK with just being thrown in. It got better but this method of teaching is super scary and I heard similar complaints from parents and my friends who started here and their parents ended up changing places. My point is, it's hit or miss for however you get as an instructor, and as an adult learner this place really was a waste of money. It's overpriced, I'm sorry to say it really is, 800s dollars of all for this summer roughly. The YMCA was 150 dollars for each season they taught. That was our first choice but it isn't easy to book their and I see why. I apologize for my long ramble but my point is, if you're an adult learner, I go somewhere else, especially somewhere WSI certified workers, understanding of adults learning and their goals. Also at other places there's levels for adults or skill set', this place just kind of throws you in and they basically just assume you know everything. My last instructor however was super awesome and actually went over floating, bubbles etc. They pretty much hinted to go somewhere else for lessons. It's honestly sad. This is not to attack Saf-T swim but it's my honest review and my thoughts and it scares me that it's run by workers who aren't WSI certified and some who seem to not pay attention to their work, (This is a super serious skill to me.) do not know every stroke, I forgot to mention that one I had instructor didn't even know how to swim backstroke! Hello everyone, if there were zero stars to give i definitely give this place 5 zeros. Who ever is thinking about enrolling their children to this saf swim , Beware!!!! If you want to throw your money and time in the garbage rhis is the place to do that. My reasons for leaving this kind of review is that, i enrolled my two children about 2 months ago and after that i never experienced such a unprofessional and immature behavior in any place where they are teaching children. First they assign you a instructor and that changes every time the kids come to there lesson. Second : there instructors are not professionals they are high school students working part-time with no experienced teaching skills. Third: The staff and there policy are so unconciderate of their customers. Within those 2months my children only learned how to play with a ball in a pool.!!! Literally.

Really disappointed in saf-t-swim. They give away your class time without any warning or communication. They sneak charges into your account. They will charge you an annual fee for a year and when you want to schedule your kids they can’t even give you an appointment time. Of course they won’t give you a refund of your annual fee even though you can’t get a time scheduled. The lifeguard is also always reading a book which is extremely alarming. Disappointed that a place so expensive doesn’t value their clients.

My swim instructor, Rachel, is incredibly sweet and informative. As an adult learner, I have learned a lot in a short period of time. Now, she is teaching my daughter and her commitment and instruction is just the same! Absolutely superb!

Love this place! My daughter has been going since March 2021 and we love all the staff there. Everyone is so sweet and friendly. My daughter takes lessons with Miss Emily and we love her! My daughter has learned so much and loves the water because of her.

Their new location has soooo much potential but it's not ran properly.
They're understaffed, it's impossible to get the same swim instructor, also if you have any make up days, they can't look past the present week to book that make up, so if there are no spots available that week then you have to keep calling to see if there's a a cancellation.
I wish my daughter could have the same instructor but every time is someone new, so no one really knows if she has advance or learned something in her class.
This is also the 3rd time her instructor calls out and they don't give you a heads up when you walk in or a courtesy call. So now my child is with an instructor she's never met and crying during her class (she's 15 months)
They moved to this new location in January 2021, it is October 2021 and they STILL only have 1 changing table available. How is that possible? At least get some extra folding tables from Home Depot in the mean time. But anytime my daughter gets out of her class we have to wait in line for a changing table. Absurd.

We travel from Nassau to this location because of how great the staff is! My son has been with Dylan since he was 2 months old and has so much fun with her. She has gone above and beyond to accommodate my schedule as my work schedule changed. Definitely recommend this location!

We brought our daughter to Saf-T-Swim in Commack when she was 3 months old and it was the best decision we could make. We received a great promotion to get her started to make sure she liked it and we have been going there ever since (she's turning 4 in January)! We just started lessons with our 3 month old daughter, that's how much we love this place. The staff and teachers (especially Dylan) are outstanding. They're professional, outgoing and really work with the kids to teach them important lessons in safety. Our daughter has grown into a very strong swimmer; we couldn't be happier. My wife and I highly recommend them!

Both of my boys have been going to classes here since they are 6 months old. The teachers are OUTSTANDING! Every teacher they have is warm, encouraging and very supportive. I cannot praise this amazing team of teachers more - especially since they is by no means an easy job. I do agree with other reviews that the management is difficult to work with sometimes but this is not a reason to have your children miss out on working with the wonderful teachers!

The instructors are good the problem is management. For instance, I would sign up for a package and then they would give my sessions away to another client. This incident happened a couple of times. I've heard the same complaint from other parents.

I was really impressed by the progress my little boy made here. He absolutely loved every session and the instructors did a great job helping through the things he struggled with. It's crazy expensive though, but a great way to get your kids ready for the water in quick time.

I was taking my girls for a little bit over 3 years to this facility. One of my girls teachers was amazing , very encouring and friendly. But I have to say that most of the staff including managers are very unprofessional and show a Huge lock of costumers servise. My youngest daughter was stuck in the same level 3 for a very long time and when I asked why she was not moving, they would never have an answer for me. Is just a way of taking out money out of your pockets every week. It is totally Impossible to talk to a supervisor or a general manager if you ask to. I'm very disappointed that I had to leave this place because the lack of costumer service in this location.
