I took the Saturday noon circuit session with Tania. It was my first time and she came over at every exercise and reminded me what it was and helped me make sure I was doing it correctly. The circuit class had six stations so after every change, I forgot what the exercise was but she was there to quickly run through it with me. She was also very encouraging. At the end of the class she mentioned of a competition day that was open to everyone. The space has nothing but a water fountain, lockers, bathroom, sanitizer and cleaning wipes for the machine, no towels, shower or amenities. I enjoy Metcon (5min exercise - 1min rest) and the variety of it all. The class went quickly and id definitely do the class again. It was my first time working out in a while and i could keep up. Would give it 5 stars but lack of amenities is a big bummer.

I love session!! I’d never worked out before and I started going to session only 6 months with a friend and it has absolutely changed my life. It’s such a wonderful, friendly and non judgmental place to be. I was very nervous having never done this before and already being in my 30s, but the coaches have been so helpful and encouraging and I have never once felt like I didn’t belong. All Session facilities are so well maintained and all staff are so welcoming! Only the Greenpoint location has a shower though.

I personally enjoy their Metcon classes especially with Coach Dani and Coach Therese! They really encourage me to persevere! It can get hard but the instructors always provide modifications.

Love it here. I’m getting stronger and leaner too! Thanks Session coaches :) I’m so excited for the Summer Sweat Olympics!

SESSION is hands down the best fitness studio I've ever been to. Excellent workout, Bridgette was very motivational and provided great 1 to 1 instructions during the class. I left feeling very energized. You can workout at your own pace and push yourself as much or as little as you wanted. I worked out muscles that I usually don't during my normal routines. They had weights from 5lbs upwards to over 40lbs. Highly recommend this place.

I had debated on restarting a gym membership until I went to a class here...and I love it! Really appreciate the curated 7-day training sessions. The group classes are energizing and the right amount of toughness (for me). If I need some 1:1 help, like adjusting my form, then the teacher is able to (quickly) do so during class. Very happy with this location.

Great workout, but make sure to wear something warm. You'll warm up as the class goes on, but you'll freeze in the first 10 minutes. Also, the instructors speak through a microphone and it's often hard to understand what they're saying.

Traveled from the Upper West Side to attend a class, and I regret not checking out Session sooner. The commute was much easier than I thought. The class was challenging but really fun, and Kat was amazing—super supportive with helping improve my kettlebell form.
The entire team made me feel like I’d known them for years; everyone was warm and welcoming. It didn’t hurt that there were quite a few good-looking people in the class (respectfully) too. Haha 😄

I've been to countless workout classes across NYC and Brooklyn. This is the first gym I've become a member of. The classes are intentionally programmed to challenge you daily and progress weekly. You're not getting annihilated by coaches whose goal is to make you vomit. These instructors truly watch your form and make you a better athlete for it. There's no better place to train.

I have been taking classes at Session for the last 4 years since I moved to Williamsburg (200+ classes). The workout programming here is next level (kudos to coach Alexa and Nico!) : it really helps you grow (whatever your goal is), challenges you in a good way, but never goes too much to lead to injury.

The coaches and staff are always friendly and full of positive energy. I always walk out of the studio with a big smile on my face. Don't miss out!

I have been going to sessions consistently for around 2 months now and I am so thankful I found this gym. I like that they have workouts as early as 6 am so that I can go before work! Every workout is completely different than the last and I always feel so good about myself after I leave. The exercises are fun too they have a lot of different equipment. I like the upbeat music they play. My favorite part is that the instructors are ALL incredibly focused and check/correct everyone’s form. As someone who has a previous knee injury this is extremely important to me. There is no pressure to lift heavier than what you can handle. The workouts fly by and the community is extremely friendly and welcoming. This is a great place for novice to advanced exercise enthusiasts. Thank you so much sessions! My confidence and body haven’t looked this great in years (:

Oscar’s energy made my first time here so great! Introduced himself right away and asked ahead of time about any injuries. Perfect pace and just the right amount of people in class for the 3 stations with enough space in between to comfortably workout. They hand out sanitizing wipes to wipe down your station in between switching rounds. Oscar was super motivating and assisting everyone’s form throughout the entire class - will definitely be back💜

10/10 gym. The workouts are challenging and approachable, and I always leave feeling great, mentally and physically. The instructors truly *make* this gym. They are some of the best I’ve ever encountered in a group fitness setting - they provide detailed instructions and helpful, individualized adjustments throughout the class. A1 playlists too.

The workouts are always well organized… everything is set up well so you don’t have to run around for equipment mid-class. The board lists all the moves and is up for the duration of the class so that you know exactly what to do even if you forget. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. And sometimes there are even doggos!!

So happy to have them in the neighborhood!!

I’ve tried just about every fitness studio in the area and Session is hands down the best all around. Each movement/exercise can be modified to whatever level you are at so you can push yourself to your max. The workouts are amazing and always changing to keep your body guessing. I would say that the biggest differentiator is the staff (both the coaches and studio managers). Each time you enter the studio you are greeted by the session team and immediately know you are in good hands. Although each coach brings a slightly different approach to class - I guarantee they are all top tier when it comes to level of fitness expertise. If you are looking to better yourself both physically and mentally - Session is the perfect place for you.

I have always been that person who wanted to want to work out but had such a hard time actually committing to fitness in any form. From the exciting and creative (and constantly evolving) programming, to the incredible coaches who motivate you and help correct form without shame, to my fellow friendly gym-goers that do not take themselves too seriously, Session is such a fun, action-packed and safe space to improve your workout. I have had a membership for about 6 months now and it has truly changed my perception on "going to the gym" and I absolutely look forward to every class I have. This is a great price point for what you get and I am constantly trying to get my friends to come along with me or join. I cannot recommend Session enough, thank you so much for everything!

Williamsburg! Session is THE place. I’ve been a consistent regular for a few months now and it’s definitely the best gym I’ve been to. The staff and owners are genuinely good people who will get to know you, and the trainers never question your reasons for choosing to workout. There are no pictures of unattainably fit models on the wall, there’s rarely talk of motivation. You just show up and get swept up in the community feel.

Speaking of community though, the biggest downside might be that a lot of customers aren’t really interested in saying hi, they’re just there to do their thing and move on, but this isn’t really Session’s fault. The trainers and staff are the people you’ll really get to know, and it’s not canned friendliness. And certainly none of the customers have been un-friendly, just not looking to socialize.

As far as price, remember that paying for fitness is one of the best financial investments you can make, because it prevents so many expensive health problems down the road. Medical costs will balloon as you get older, so just pay the money now and kick back later on.

Don't even think about it - just join, you will not regret it! After two years of basically being a couch potato I finally worked up the courage to get back into the gym...and I was terrified. What if I'm judged? What if I can't complete the exercises? Session could not have been more welcoming. I am consistently greeted with genuine warmth and made to feel totally comfortable and supported. The workouts are challenging, but the instructor (Mitch is a total legend) is always there to encourage you to push yourself, or to adjust the workout to your needs. It's perfect for all fitness levels! I leave each class feeling equal parts empowered, confident and, well, totally spent. Also, the place is super clean and social distancing/masks rules are followed!

I initially tried Session with their $40 2-session pass and really enjoyed it. For that reason, I decided to go for their $160 unlimited intro month and will continue their unlimited monthly classes. The reason why I love their classes because they’re effective and efficient (only a 50min-1 hour). As someone who is not as productive at the gym alone, I really like the small class size. I feel like the instructors keep an eye out for everyone’s form and push them if they could do more weight. Although $200/month seems like a huge amount, I see it as an investment to my health and you’re also receiving semi-private attention from the instructors. That’s great value in itself.

After trying almost every Brooklyn workout class on Classpass, I have yet to find an experience as good as Session. The instructors care so much about creating a welcoming environment and are always trying to help with form, even when there could be 20-30 people per class. I love Wesley’s classes! He is so good about correct form and making sure you are doing the exercises correctly. If you’re looking for a challenging but manageable HIIT workout, Session is the place! I found the Session on class pass and have come back more often than other studios in my neighborhood. Really great workout in a group setting - heaps of good energy and good vibes. There's no ego here and you won't be yelled at by an instructor, just simply helped with form and the hour will fly by (and you will be hobbling home). I found Session through Classpass and I keep coming back! They offer circuit workouts with clear direction in a clean and positive environment. I really appreciate instructors who dedicate time to a good warm up and who break down the movements you're about to tackle. I think what I like most is the consistency of instructors and positive energy they put out to the class. Everyone is paired up in circuit groups that you workout with throughout the session and there is some real camaraderie that keeps you motivated. Each class is different whether you return to a signature class or move on to conditioning so you're always challenged. I've only been to a handful of classes, but I feel that I'm getting stronger each time and leave with a great workout.

Session is an incredible community. I am recovering from a herniated disc and all the trainers have been so welcoming and understanding. My confidence has dipped with the injury but when I participate in the signature workouts I transform into a strong athlete. The facilities are excellent, from the gear to the self locking lockers! You don't need to bring a water bottle with you as the gym provides reusable glass bottles which are of course cleaned after each use. I'm excited to continue my fitness journey with the entire team.

this place is a dream, exactly what i had been hoping to find in my fitness journey in nyc. the trainers are all nice which unfortunately is rare for some reason in fitness studios. they also are knowledgeable and able to modify anything to fit the needs of your body. it feels more community based and all the workouts ive done so far have been great, challenging and the class size is just right so the trainer is able to walk around correcting form and encouraging :) the studio is clean and they provide water and towels, and they have showers. honestly, it does not get any better!

Sessions is one of the best new work outs in Williamsburg. A mix of bootcamp and circuit training... a lighter version of Switch and a great community of people and skilled instructors. The space is beautiful, tons of natural light which I really love, and clean facilities. They even provide each guest with a eco glass water bottle to use if you don’t bring your own to avoid single use plastic.

I have been looking for a workout class with strength training principles as the foundation of the class (as opposed to yoga & pilates which is abundant in Brooklyn) and am so happy to have found SESSION! Each class is filled with different strength-building moves, ensuring different parts of the body to be worked at all times. During each class my heart rate is always up and I'm constantly pushing myself to complete all of the reps. Sweat is always dripping - so I know I'm being pushed! The tough but rewarding workout aside, the community aspect behind SESSION is what also makes this studio so great. Local events and engagement with the community of like minded individuals is tough to find within NYC but SESSION is very much involved with the community and truly values their members!

A great gym for full-body cross-functional fitness. The instructors are knowledgeable, personable, friendly and most importantly are looking out for your actual well-being and personal goals. Not just the image of pushing weights as hard and fast as you can in the moment to make it seem like you got a workout in, like other places. Each Session will hit your core, balance, strength, flexibility, anaerobic and aerobic fitness in a safe and effective way.

The facilities are great, the atmosphere is motivating but not over-bearing and intimidating, and there's a separate equipment room at the back for private workouts if you don't feel like a circuit or need to work on something specific.

I’ve never found circuit training particularly appealing or accessible (if you’d told me back when I was a distance track athlete that I’d be PAYING someone to put me through a strength & conditioning workout, I wouldn’t believe you), but I look forward to mornings at Session.

The best HIIT class I've been to in NYC. I've been to my fair share of HIIT classes across the city and SESSION is the first studio I've repeatedly returned to. The workouts are varied and a lot of thought clearly goes into them to target different muscle groups. This is the only studio I've been to where the instructors genuinely go around the group and correct form. They also introduce themselves, learn your name and welcome you back each time you return. Bonus: the playlists are always awesome. Couldn't recommend it more!

Just took my 5th session class this morning and I am overall super happy with this work out and studio. I have worked out with Mitch, Patrick, and Darren. Every class has been different, exciting, and challenging. I work at my pace and I'm only encouraged by the instructors as well as everyone at the studio. The people who run session are THE BOMB. I'm used to indoor cycling (which I usually do about 4 times a week) and I have recently introduced Sessions circuit training into my work out routine -and I could not be happier. 10/10 recommend!
