I genuinely love Solidcore workouts, but this studio has become completely unusable. It’s very clear they are selling far more memberships and class credits than they can actually accommodate. I’m a monthly member, and I can’t even book an 8pm class a month in advance because everything is always full.

Even with early booking access, if you miss that one day, you’re completely locked out. I’m paying a premium price for a membership I literally can’t use. I can’t even get into my 4 monthly classes because there are zero times available that work for anyone with a full-time job.

It’s disappointing because the workout itself is great, but the studio is so oversaturated that it’s not worth it. If you’re considering joining, just know that getting into a class is almost impossible unless you can book mid-day sessions or have an extremely flexible schedule.

I have unfortunately reached the point of needing to cancel my membership for this reason.

I was waiting for my Fiance to finish her Pilates class, minding my own business and reading my book, when someone who works at the front desk told me I have to leave and wait outside because he was leaving and I was not allowed to wait without any supervision.

That’s beyond ridiculous. There are cameras in the lobby, so there is no reason to kick someone out when there is clearly surveillance supervision.

Cmon guys, at least have some human compassion.

Love it! Lily F. Is a fantastic coach. She is so thoughtful and thorough explaining each exercise and transition. She makes everyone feel seen and a part of the class. This is literally the first exercise class I have ever taken and 50 minutes feels like five. I blink and we are done!

Disgusting service. I did a two week unlimited trial and when I did not show for a class due to illness they charged my card $40! This was not authorised by me! Absolute robbery.

Non-existent customer support. Save your money by avoiding Solidcore. There is no resolution to billing / class credit issues.

I have a 4 / month membership. I canceled a class 24+ hours before the class and went to rebook with the credit. But the app instead tells me to buy a pass. Similarly, I had an extra credit I purchased on top of my membership mysteriously disappear after I canceled a class and attempted to rebook with the credit.

When I email the UES studio, they tell me to email the main CS email. I do but don’t get a reply for 2+ weeks, which was totally unhelpful. I ended up just never getting my class credits (which I paid for).

Sucks that their support is so abysmal that something as simple as me getting credits I paid for reinstated is impossible. I would have kept my membership forever had this not happened, as the teachers are great. But their customer service as a corporation sucks.

There was no representative at the front desk when I arrived at 7 am. The buzzer code was not working at first and since no one was at the front desk, my entry to class was delayed. Despite this being Solidcore’s issue, the instructor refused to let me take the class. Definitely do not recommend this studio.

As a new customer at the UES location , I am not very thrilled with how Theresa managed the situation. She considered my booking cancelled even though I was on time and arrived within the policy window.

I have been to other solidcore studios in NYC where the instructors are more welcoming and professional. My bad experience here is not reflective of the other studio locations.

I purchased a 2 class intro and went to book my two classes over the next two weeks (as the package expires in that 2 weeks) - there is not a single class available at a normal time (7-10am, 5-7pm) for the next two weeks which is absurd. They should stop selling classes if you cannot actually book at this location.

A great first time experience! My friend and I enjoyed our first solid core class ever on a Friday evening. The staff member on the phone helped register us for a new client offer, and we arrived early to get the pep talk from other clients and the front desk worker. Free combo lockers, and a water bottle filler. The downstairs studio is dark, with music pumping just like a spin class. Plenty of machines with locals. The teacher took time to explain the machines, and help with adjusting what we needed to do. She could tell when we were confused and I found that it an absolute must to get hands on adjustments to avoid injury with proper form.

Set your ego aside. This can be a difficult workout for anyone! Everyone is at a different level with different progressions, and it is ok to take breaks and be inspired with the community. I can see how people get addicted to this. I find it is pricey and look at it as a nice treat to myself and break up my typical gym routine.

Tips; bring your own towel and water bottle! And don't be shy asking Qs or asking for help!

I love this studio and everyone is so nice! Such an intense workout. My only complaint is the music. I think the studio could be so much cooler and have a way more curated vibe for the price you pay to take classes. Playing Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo really makes me feel bored and annoyed. There is genuinely nothing worse than going to a class and the playlist is every song trending on Tik Tok! Please give us some hip hop and good house music and this studio would be absolutely perfect!

The class is dark and there is no walking through positions clearly so it is impossible for you to see if you are doing the positions correctly or have good form.

The instructor walks around yelling instructions in a rote way about where to put feet and hands but it is a barrage of loud words that don’t mean anything. She never corrected my position or showed me how to go deeper.

Half the time I felt like it was too easy and the other half it just felt wrong and unsteady.

Real pilates and a difficult barre class are much much more intense and better for the body. I’m sure safer as well as I could imagine people who are less experienced with Pilates or less strong/flexible hurting themselves frequently due to above.

Seems like a fad clas that won’t last.

I went today for the first time and I didn't love it. They sell the workout as a low-impact, high-intensity resistance training workout, similar to Pilates. This is not similar to Pilates. You can't have precision at that pace. Instructors are worried about having loud music and yelling into a mic to push yourself to non guided postures.

Total rip off. Not worth the exorbitant fees. There are so many pilates studios in the vicinity with great instructors for better value. I do not recommend.
