Sportime Syosset offers a solid tennis experience with well-maintained hard courts and bright indoor lighting. The facility is clean, with fresh towels, complimentary coffee, and modern locker rooms that enhance the overall experience. However, there are a few drawbacks to note. The nearby train can be distracting during matches, as the sound echoes through the courts. Better soundproofing would make a big difference. Also, the motion-activated lighting system can be frustrating—lights may turn off mid-game if no one is on the adjacent court. Despite these issues, it's a quality club with good amenities and friendly service.

My daughter has been training at Sportime for over 8 years. The staff are always professional and provide a comfortable environment for their players. One of my favorite long time employees at Sportime is Matt Taurisani. He is always easy to speak to when and if there is a question about billing. He is always calm, amicable, and accommodating. If he were ever to leave Sportime, I would definitely snatch him up to work for our family business.

New management especially Matt taurisani is terrible. Has been turned into a mill where college tennis players who aren’t trained as coaches coach kids. Sometimes 6 kids on a court at once. May be cheaper than other places but comes at the cost of quality. Private lessons on the other hand cost an arm and a leg with most of it being taken by Sportime.

My son has been attending the U10 program for several months now and I could not be more pleased! Everyone there is so friendly and we are always greeted with a smile. The building is always clean and neat and the courts are always in great condition. The pro's are so patient with the kids and very knowledgeable. Anytime we have a question any member of the staff is willing to help. I always tell my friends and family what a great experience we have there and would definitely, (and do), recommend to others. Cancelled classes and did not bother to inform anyone. People were bringing children in the morning to the location only to find a rude clueless receptionist with an attitude announcing “no classes and ya all should have known that”.

I was with my boy playing a league game tonight over there first time . I was surprised at the way that SPORTIME Syosset operates. The facility has a small Basketball court with a terrible floor. Have taken kids to many basketball games around Long Island. This place has the worst air ventilation I have seen for a basketball court. Players could only stand against the wall when they sub out, no room for a bench or chairs whatsoever. Not even a desk or chair for the scoreboard. Parents or audiences can only stay in a small hallway/waiting room with NO air circulation. Seriously? I thought we are in a pandemic. No covid protocol/guideline at all. Audiences without a mask can walk on/off of the court with no restriction. We really don't feel safe to be there or send our kids there for basketball games.

This place is phenomenal. Everyone is so friendly here when it comes to coaches, front desk workers or even people who do activities here. I play tennis here, but just a private lesson. I work with Coach Kim and she is the sweetest and most caring person I know. There tennis courts are so big and perfect especially for social distancing. I always love coming here and playing Tennis🎾

My daughter is really enjoying tennis lessons at Sportime. Along with her weekly lesson, she has also had the opportunity to participate in fun tournaments. Teachers are kind and encouraging.

UPdated review:
Mike, the director of the JMTA contacted me right away and we scheduled a meeting and tour. I was impressed with his enthusiasm, the Syosset facility and the group of students I saw that night. We are planning to sign up soon, schedule permitting. for the sake of constructive criticism, their front desk staff needs to be better trained to direct potential customers to people like MIke. It should not take 3 calls, 2 messages and a bad review to get their attention.

The place is super expensive for the quality of their instructions. Unless you pay an arm and leg for the private lessons, don't expect your kids to learn anything from the group lessons. They are simply "playing" tennis. Staff is unfriendly and not helpful at all. Do not waste your money here. Find free lance private instructor will probably serve you better.
