Fabian is truly the absolute best. I’ve worked with many different trainers, none of them have helped me feel as empowered and strong, both physically and mentally, as Fabian has. He knows how to build this strength progressively and safely, nurturing my confidence, and helping me to move past mental blocks around fear of injury. He has never pushed me to do anything unsafe and has zenfully helped me to realize that my limits are nowhere near where I might have assumed they were. This realization has made me stronger in all aspects of my life, and particularly, the newfound physical and mental strength and mobility have all greatly impacted my professional world as an opera singer; my singing gets better as the tonus of body and respiratory system increases, and I’ve grown braver in my physical presence as well. I also really value and admire how open Fabian is to endlessly learning about his craft—voraciously reading and listening to podcasts about the body and mind. I trust he is always thinking about how to help me and other clients meet our goals. In short, I’ve never felt better! Thank you Fabian!

Working with Fabian has been a game changer for me. I’ve been lifting in earnest for over a decade but never have I worked with someone so attentive or so responsive to my needs to make sure I see results. He’s taken the time to correct my form on lifts to make sure Im maximizing my lifts and preventing injury. He’s so knowledgeable and has helped me tremendously- if all that isn’t enough he’s incredibly kind. If you’re in the market, I can’t imagine anyone better.

Fabian is a 10 out of 10 - HIGHLY recommend!!!
I’ve been working with Fabian consistently now for almost 2 years, but on and off again for close to 7 or 8. My own fitness journey, like most, has had its ups and downs, but finally feel like I’ve landed somewhere meaningful, mentally and physically. Fabian has gotten me there. I’m highly competitive, a bit of a perfectionist and slew of other not so ideal traits to have when you are rebuilding your physical foundation. That’s what Fabian has done for me. Helped me rebuild, brick by brick, a solid foundation…achieving a myriad of micro-goals along the way, some you didn’t even realize you had, that feel meaningful and larger than life. I’ve struggled with a few neck and back injuries that always felt like a massive blow, but Fabian, a true steward and practitioner of perfect form of every movement, has helped me overcome many exercises I thought I would never get back. On top of that, I like to go from zero to one hundred as quickly as I can. However, Fabian’s encouragement and solid teachings has had me check myself when on my own, slowing down, listening to my body. For example, maybe I maintain or reduce weight on some final sets of an exercise instead of adding another 5-10 pounds with bad form or an exhausted body. I’ve learned how to know when I can push myself harder or when I’ve gone far enough. Knowing that has been invaluable in my fitness journey.
Fabian might seem quiet at first, but that is because he’s thinking about your program, your training and how he is going to get you to your next sneaky-goal. He’s very observant and is highly attuned to your body, and constantly checks in. You can also be sure he is always reading something new, doing his own research or listening to a podcast to help himself be a better Fabian. (Which ultimately makes him a better trainer.) If you’re lucky enough to train with him, you’ll love the journey and you’re in great hands. Fabian isn’t’ just my trainer, but my friend a part of my chosen family.

I strongly recommend Fabian for personal training. I have been working out regularly for over 30 years. But over the last three years, I have worked out with Fabian. He has brought my workouts to another level. He is really an expert in fitness. I also like his style. He pushes me further week by week but his style is calm and focused. He is not the right trainer if you want someone shouting at you. He motivates with clear calm instructions on form and repetitions. I find I work out harder and smarter with him.

There are not enough good things I can say about Fabian that would fit in this little review box. Over the last 8 years that I have been working with him, I have gotten stronger both mentally and physcially. As a former athlete and practitioner in elite sport, I can confidently say that Fabian is ahead of the curve and one of the most knowledgeable trainers I know.
When I was anxious about current or past injuries, he knew just what to do and say to make feel comfortable in the gym and confident in my body. When I told him I wanted to start figure skating again, he educated himself on the sport and created a new program for me to support my jumps and spins. When I irrationally panic text him because I think I hurt my knee and can never walk again, he is patient, kind, and reassuring.
As long as he's up for it, I'll be training with him well into my 90's. Cannot recommend him enough!

Fabian is an amazing trainer as well as a wonderful person. I started working with him before the pandemic and took a break during it simply because of the logistics, but I have been and continue to be extremely happy to be working with him again this past year. My results have been appreciable, and I trust him to guide my progress. I used to experience a lot of neck pain before working with him, but the strength training has been immensely helpful in that regard as well. He is very thoughtful in his approach to conditioning and strengthening the body and also spends a lot of time to understand the individual person’s goals and psychology. I would recommend him to anyone. Don’t hesitate to try a session with him!

Fabian is the best. Before meeting him I struggled to find a routine, remain motivated, and complete my fitness goals. Fabian made it very super easy to stick to all of these with personal sessions once a week to discuss my routines. The program continued through an app where Fabian sent workouts for me to compete everyday. Not only was the app super easy to use but it kept a record of every workout I completed. I was amazed to see a progression both on my body and the app. Fabian’s guidance, commitment, open communication, and flexibility for my personal growth highly recommend.

As a full-time educator in NYC public schools, husband, father of two boys, and part-time Jiu Jitsu instructor I have my hands full and a tight schedule. However, I realized that if I want to be able to continue to do any or all of those things well for the long haul I would need to start working on my strength and conditioning.
Fabian has been able to create program blocks for me that fit my schedule and he has modeled for me through one on one, in person, training sessions how to exercise safely and with enough energy left in the tank to take on all the things I do daily and still come back for more. He has also continued to support my progress through online coaching when my schedule has gotten really difficult and my access to the gym he trains clients in has been limited.
At this point I’ve trained 5 days a week for about 5 months and it has truly been life changing. I feel better and I move better than I did when I started and I love the way my arms and legs are filling out my clothes more. I am excited at what my results will be when I hit my 1 year anniversary of picking up this lifestyle even more so at what I will look and feel like when I hit my 5 year anniversary of embarking on this path. Whatever that is I will forever be indebted to Fabian for teaching me how to work out properly so that I can enter any gym and get to working on ensuring my body feels strong, healthy, and ready for all that life throws at me.

Fabian Cabrera has been my trainer twice a week for 5 years and it is with great sincerity that I write praises of him. His work is an educated seamless approach to working muscle groups and everything involved in maintaining a healthy, fit body. His personality is well suited to mine and I find him totally in tune with when I need to talk or when I need to be quiet and focus inward! He's Great! I highly recommend him.
