Real results for real life
NGL - when I walked in and saw the weights and all the equipment I was intimidated and pretty sure this was not for me. I’m a 63 yo woman with arthritis, overweight and not in shape. But I was welcomed warmly by the trainers and other clients - every kind of body really is welcome here. I’ve been met right where I’m at, skillfully guided, and calmly encouraged to keep going and to safely push just a little harder. I have surprised myself by what I can do and by how much better I feel. I started with an intro package (highly recommended and a great deal). Now I’m doing a shared personal training session and a base conditioning class every week. I’m still new - it’s only been a few weeks - but I see and feel results. Stairs are easier; carrying groceries and laundry is easier; even sitting upright at my desk is easier.

I've been going to SITH for over 3 years now and, as a runner, the SPT classes are essential for me not only to prevent injury but also to build power and speed for the shorter races I like to do. I had done NO real strength training (a little bit of bodyweight stuff but nothing in a systematic way) before working with Lisa, Priest and the rest of the top-notch team at SITH. I have been able to build full-body strength in a safe and consistent way, thanks to to the support of all the trainers. Plus their new space is just amazing.

I went to a Studio in the Heights class after too long a time away. I need to get back in shape and in my class found a perfect reentry with a great instructor, Julia, who led an energetic and full at-your-own-level workout. They are in a new, beautiful, clean space with welcoming people, staff, and owners Lisa and Priest. It felt great am totally encouraged to come back and do it again.

I *love* Studio in the Heights! Lisa, Priest, and all of the trainers really care about their students and every single trainer is knowledgable and caring. I started strength training here in May 2023 and in the last year and a half, my strength and mobility have improved drastically. Like being able to haul 30 lb laundry bags for blocks and not getting tired drastically! I've taken classes with almost every trainer at Studio in the Heights (Julia, David, Marcus, Wendy, Brandon, Drea) and everyone is phenomenal - I come out of every class happily exhausted and pumped up. Lisa and Priest have created a warm community centered around functional fitness and lasting health and I'm so grateful to have this resource in my neighborhood. And we wear burgundy on Thursdays :) Thank you for everything, Studio in the Heights!

This is more than a fitness studio for small group classes. It is a community that supports and encourages your personal wellness as a whole - fitness (movement and flexibility), fuel (food and physiology), focus (mindset, sleep and stress management).

More importantly and personally, coming up on my 40th birthday, SITH has helped me learn new things about my body, its potential, and my own mindset. For someone who is very riven by data, results, and other objective measures, it has never ceased to amaze me what goals I continue to accomplish year after year with strength training classes, yoga classes, cardio classes, Green Cleanse 7-day resets, 90-day Revitalize programs, etc.

I have invited my bestie in Philly, my sisters in DC, and my mom in Rhode Island to participate in one or more of the virtual programs offered. Each of them still incorporate a healthy habit learned from that program into their everyday lives. Yay!

June Li Lo's Wednesday morning virtual yoga class, 7:15-8:00, is quietly amazing. Ms. Li Lo instantly and imaginatively tailors each session to the group's needs that week, kindly and positively keeps an eye on and guides our movements, and provides an ever-changing excellent soundtrack that weaves various kinds of music into a seamless whole. I don't always *want* to do yoga first thing on Wednesday mornings, but I am *always* glad afterward that I did. Brava.

The small group (4 people max) Personal Strength Training classes (SPT) really helped me after physical therapy to regain ‘pain-free’ mobility.

I have a herniated disc in my lower back and have had a lot of issues with my back and hips. After speaking with Lisa, I did several individual sessions with David. He was great! He tailored the exercises to strengthen my muscles and to give me more mobility without pain. I have worked with trainers before who always push me so hard that I injure myself. This was not the case with David. I highly recommend Studio in the Heights.

Had a lower back issue that completely incapacitated me. Lisa & Priest not only helped zero in on my issue (SI JOINT) but they prescribed me a series of movements and advice on when & how often to perform them. Now I’m back in my saddle as if it never happened. I’m so grateful, because I had a few PT’s that couldn’t diagnose my issue and almost made me worse. The service and the attention that Clare O’Malley the instructor provided to everyone in the class was great she made everyone feel comfortable from the start, she is easy to talk and will come over and explain the workout in details if one is having a bit of trouble with it, she is great she will push you with great words of encouragment to help reach your goal, that to me is great service all around.

We've been coming here for about 3 months, and we simply love it. We've mostly attended the high intensity training classes, but also had a good experience with a yoga class.

The instructors and attendees are friendly and welcoming and they've helped us push up to—and then past—our limits. We've seen substantial improvement in our fitness and endurance, and we always look forward to our next class.
