Syracuse Sweat Club is a training gym for everyday adults who want to look, feel and perform their best! We offer personal training and two best-in-class group programs:
1) CrossFit Syracuse, the area's longest standing and most reputable CrossFit affiliate for folks who want to prioritize athletic performance

2) CAMP - a sophisticated bootcamp program super effective for burning fat, building muscle, and developing healthy functional movement patterns

I joined this gym about a month ago, and it has already made such a positive impact on my life. I love that they offer a wide variety of classes, especially the ones where I get to run! I am consistently in the 5am class and join the run club classes when I’m able to. Every workout pushes me in the best way, and I’m consistently burning a lot of calories and seeing real changes in my body and energy levels.

The coaches are motivating, the community is welcoming, and I truly feel excited to walk through the doors every day. Switching to this gym was exactly what I needed, and I’m feeling so good about the change. Highly recommend to anyone looking for results and variety in their workouts!

CAMP is very fun, challenging but not too hard/ adaptable to where I was at just getting back in the gym after a while. It’s so dynamic and ever changing/ the hour flys by and I felt the different in my body tone within two weeks of going three times a week. Definitely worth the monthly rate for a niche community gym like this- totally different experience than going to a regular gym. Is social and and motivating. The owner Holly is great and instructor Diane kicks total ass!

I got into the best shape of my life about 6 years ago at Syracuse Sweat. Foolishly I left the gym to join a standard gym, motivation went down - intensity of workouts went down. Worked out in isolation, lost all progress. Been back for a month and already in best shape I’ve been in in over a year. It’s just a no brainer. Classes are fun and have intensity/sophistication programmed in. People are cool. Space is big and clean. Music is loud. Don’t be silly. Pay a few extra bucks and join a gym that will get you in shape and make you some friends.

Amazing workouts! Gets each muscle activated and energized the whole body. High intensity options and unlimited access to more classes than you can possibly attend. Instructors are encouraging and helpful especially when it comes to safety (I love to throw my back out as a nurse). Rates are reasonable since you get unlimited access. It’s a good way of life to remain dedicated, fit and active. There is a good vibe and atmosphere. Worth it in every way!

Syracuse Sweat Club is a great place to workout whether you're doing Crossfit or Camp classes or just want to improve your health and fitness level. I haven't begun to take advantage of all they have to offer like health assessment and goal planning or making use of quality professional PT to deal with any issues you might have.

Having gone to a few other CrossFit gyms I can confidently say this one is great and unique! In addition to CrossFit there are many other class offerings for whatever level of training you are at/looking for. This is a great gym. The coaches are very knowledgeable, and the classes are great workouts. They always let you scale the workouts so you can either increase the difficulty if you can, or reduce the difficulty so you don't injure yourself. I have never taken at " Camp" class and it was awesome. Coach Maura did a great job coaching the class and it was an intense workout that left me dripping in sweat ! I loved every minute of it. I began training with Dan and he not only helped me repair these injuries but has made me stronger while doing it. The staff here is amazing and the people who work out here are awesome as well. I chose this gym because they offer specialty classes like gymnastics but had no idea what I was in for. Ellen, one of the owners was welcoming right from the start and very informative. She checks in on me from time to time making me feel like she truly cares about me and my experience. Her husband/business partner is also very welcoming. I have spent alot of time with Pat who is one of the speciality trainers and he has been remarkable. He is warm, friendly and knowledgeable. I was always intimidated to try CrossFit. It only took one class for me to realize how wrong I was. Both the staff and members are extremely welcoming. The coaches are highly skilled and capable of working with any ability level. The workouts are humbling, but there are always options to scale. I started Syracuse Sweat Club around a year ago. I’m a master’s athlete and I’ve was intimidated by CrossFit for many years. I made the decision to walk through the door and give it my best. I have started to transform my physical being but what I most proud of is my strength and ability to push myself. I struggled with vertigo before I started CrossFit and with the help of the coaches, I now can perform a handstand (unbelievable I’m upside down). One word of advice to all; especially to the older women, give Syracuse Sweat Club a chance…be consistent, scale the workouts if needed, speak up if you’re unsure of a movement, and most of all have fun. I would rather give Syracuse Sweat Club my money than a doctor or hospital, it’s my preventative medicine.

"Professional, friendly, reasonable prices and policies." I wrote that shortly after joining. I think I was being cautious, thinking it couldn't be as great as it seemed. It's been eight months now, and what I found on day one is exactly what it is today. I have achieved so much, I feel great all the time, I can do so much more than I ever could before. I am 54 years old, significantly overweight, and have never been an athlete in any way, but now I have a goal of being competitive within a few years. Even though I came in very unfit, I've never had an injury from Crossfit. I think it's obvious that this is a gym for serious athletes, but it is also a gym for me and people like me. Kudos to Dan, Ellen, and all the coaches for their dedication and expertise. If you think you are too old or too out if shape, come here and change your life. Update! I wrote that four years ago. Since then I’ve been through cancer treatment and I’m still going strong. I’m glad I was for before I got sick because I bounced back quickly. CrossFit Syracuse has maintained its standards and keeps improving

Being a enthusiast of CrossFit, I can say without a doubt this place has it going on. I’m sad to be leaving after a year spent here. I mainly want to comment on the coaching, as I believe most CrossFit gyms are lacking in the area. All the coaches here understand the movements and push you in the direction you need to go. I have been going here for almost 6 years, it’s great. I would recommend it to anyone looking to improve their fitness level. In addition to classes, I also utilize the personal training (all of the trainers are great) and nutrition coaching.

That said, It’s more than just a gym to me. They recently helped me prepare for and recover from open heart surgery.

I worked with my personal trainer (Sarah) and we did prehab for a few months prior to surgery. Then COVID hit, and my surgery was delayed. Despite the lockdown, the gym stayed open as an online entity. They would give us workouts to do at home based on the equipment we had available to us. This got me by until my surgery was rescheduled.

Once I had surgery, I found out the hospitals Physical Therapy unit was shut down due to COVID. I was on my own for PT, so I reached out to Sarah. I knew she wasn’t a physical therapist, but I trusted her more than I trusted myself. She agreed to help, and started doing some research on her own. I reached out to my doctors and with all of this information combined, a plan was made. Sarah and I would work together twice a week. She did a great job and I did not have any setbacks. In most areas I am now stronger than ever.

In addition to Sarah, I want to thank everyone that works at SSC. All of you went above and beyond to create an environment where I could recover from a major surgery in the middle of a global pandemic. Seems simple, but I know it wasn’t. I also appreciate all of the behind the scenes work that went into keeping the gym alive during these trying times. I couldn’t have done it without you guys! Thanks.

Welcoming to all fitness levels. Never in a million years did I think I'd find myself doing crossfit. I always had the misconception that you already had to be fit to do it. Not the case everyone has to start somewhere. Coaches are great and will help you modify workouts for the level you are at. Everyone has been very encouraging and supportive. What a great community to be inspired by! Not only has CrossFit been amazing for me personally their FoodRX program run by coach Tracy has been really helpful in jumpstarting my nutrition and changing the way I think about food! 🥰

So impressed with CrossFit Syracuse and their approach to new members. My first time walking into CFS (three months ago) I was greeted by Coach Pat that came over to introduce himself and shake my hand. Maybe it was the deer in the headlights look on my face. But come to find out that is the culture. Welcoming. The owners and coaches put safety above all else because they not only want members to have a great experience, but a SAFE one. This is what sold me. The 4 days of foundations (free) is so you know what to expect and how to do movements. Once you start classes the coaches watch everyone very carefully to ensure you are getting a great workout, but being safe. The owners and coaches are so supportive. People have been members of CFS for years and there is a reason for it. I am looking forward to being one.

Extremely easy for a traveler to drop in. The coaches were welcoming and more importantly asked all the appropriate questions about my physical health and injury history. I was drawn to Crossfit Syracuse at first because of their specialty classes (barbell club, gymnastics), something not most boxes take the time to practice. I am now a remote client, but have done the classes as well. It is all fantastic - fitting for anyone & their goals! The emphasis on safety first in this facility is truly commendable. The staff is always readily available to answer questions, give suggestions and/or modifications, etc. Their education background & knowledge of fitness, nutrition, recovery, & injury seems to be forever expanding in my opinion & I am always impressed. Most of all, the level of standard held at CFS is outstanding for those athletes looking for that discipline - which I was. Plus with everyone being so friendly & supportive - once you drop in, you'll question why you didn't join sooner. I know I did!

After joining CFS after years of doing Crossfit elsewhere I learn something new with every class I take. The programming is balanced with skill sets, strength and conditioning consistently and each is designed to go along with the main workout of the day. The workouts are meticulously designed so as to not waste anytime and is well organized and executed even with larger classes. The coaches all know their stuff and know it well. CFS genuinely cares about their athletes. The environment is very calm and friendly. Not “clique-y” and the coaches run the gym, not the athletes so there’s no distractions from the main purpose of being there (which can be a problem). I can’t say enough how I wished I had started with CFS sooner.

If you're unsure or curious about trying Crossfit, Crossfit Syracuse is the place to go. The coaching staff is experienced in not only Crossfit but in weight training and physical therapy. Weight loss & healthy eating programs are available to members and optional classes for targeting what interests you. I am 54 and tried CFS almost a year ago and have been going almost 5 days a week ever since. After years in the gym, I've lost my belly fat & feel more physically fit than I have since the Navy - 30 yrs ago!
