The Co Pilates is an evolving space for movement for the individual and collective body in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and online. We are a team of movement practitioners and energy healers that believe the way you move in and relate to your body is connected to the way you move in and relate to your world. As facilitators in your healing process, we offer bespoke programs to help you achieve your specific goals.

I have trained with Brittany at The Co Pilates for many many years! Brittany has been a pleasure to work with. She has taught me how to listen to my body and transform it using skills to build muscle while also strengthening my core. As a 56yo, Ive watched my body age, and learned through Brittany’s expertise, how to work appropriate muscles that strengthen yet keep me safe from harm. I have had pre-existing pain that has basically healed through on-going work with her. She listens carefully to feedback on body pain and provides routines that help eliminate the pain.
She encourages a focused workout yet also provides a happy working relationship.
I also work out at the gym, and Brittany has taught me how to properly use weights and cardio equipment to maintain a healthy strong body.
The office is very clean and safe, and all the equipment is in great shape!
I have recommended Brittany to many friends, and they too, have shared similar experiences such as mine.
During Covid, Brittany offered zoom Pilates. I was hesitant to participate, but once I did, it was almost like having a session in the studio! She works with what you have at home and how to get the best results!
I highly recommend the Co Pilates for people of all ages, body types, and those with specific needs that need body strengthening.

I am a professional dancer and have had a chronic hip problem that ranges from uncomfortable to really painful, it often shifts my SI joint causing back tension too. I went to see Brittany during one of the painful stints in February and I was blown away by how much progress we made in one session! Brittany was able to help me identify and activate all the muscles in my legs that were weak because of my imbalance. She gave me realistic exercises and thoroughly explained why and how it would help. Brittany understands the body and how it moves, she well articulates and she obviously cares about her clients. I will definitely be going back to see her!

The Co Pilates is an amazing find! The instructors are highly skilled and able to meet your needs, whether you are looking for therapeutic movement or athletic training (or both). You start with a comprehensive evaluation which helps both you and your instructor understand where you are physically, and establishes clarity around goals to work toward. It's a beautiful gem of a studio.

My instructor was patient, attentive, and very knowledgeable. I made an appointment to try to understand the cause of chronic pain I had from my lower back through the side of my leg. The exercises I was given were very useful, and some I could do on my own at home in between sessions. The pain had been getting in the way of my aerial hoop work, and my sessions helped me get back into it. The studio is beautiful, clean and very well located.

Brittany is the best! A lower back injury had left me barely mobile. She showed me a series of exercises, and new breathing techniques, and got me moving again safely, and without pain! She showed me the ways I had been moving that were leading to injury, and new, better, safer ways to move in order to prevent injury and move better. I am amazed at her intuition and skill, she was able to pinpoint problem areas I couldn't describe, and teach me in a way that made sense to ME, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach I have found elsewhere. I can't recommend her enough!

I had been struggling with a shoulder injury for over three years. I tried *everything* and nothing helped.
Then I met Brittany and The Co Pilates. Brittany has an uncanny way of reading one's body. She immediately focused in on the problem areas, and we began the work of monthly relearning.
Before Brittany, I was in a lot of pain getting dressed, lifting even the lightest items and had little and very painful mobility. I didn't sleep well because of ongoing pain.
Brittany taught me how to move correctly, how to maintain healthy mobility through movement, how to improve my posture and strengthen my core. I even got "homework."
Through this amazing instruction and learning experience, I have a huge chunk of my quality of life back. As an athlete and dancer, Brittany understands how the human body works. She also admits to watching medical videos to see what the inside of joints look like and how they work. All that knowledge and experience comes through in her teaching.
Treat yourself to a healthy body, especially before considering surgery. In my case, I didn't need it but certainly would have had I continued on the path I was on before The Co.

Brittany's work has allowed me to be more connected to my body which has helped with my posture, strength training, swimming and running as well as many other areas. Her keen eye and attention to detail helps pin point and correct my bio-mechanical issues and muscle weaknesses making me stronger and more agile. I’ve worked with Brittany at Co Pilates. I can’t imagine working with a better studio or instructor . Brittany quickly discovered my problems areas, gave me a GREAT work out and was really on top my form and movement throughout our session. I’m confident with more sessions the areas I lack in (strength , form, flexibility,posture ) will continue to improve. I would certainly recommend this studio for those who are looking to work with real professionals.

Working with Brittany was the best thing I have ever done for my body and a total game changer for me as an adult athlete. My sports medicine doctor recommended I try Pilates with Brittany when I was struggling to manage a string of running injuries that were plaguing me after many years of marathons. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I was desperate for a body reset to get me back on track doing the things I love without the plague of aches and injuries that had become the norm. What I got with Brittany was far beyond my expectations. Having been a competitive athlete all my life, I thought I had a pretty good understanding of my body, strength training, exercise science etc., but working with Brittany completely changed the way I understand my body and how to use it. I left each of our sessions on a high of positive energy and my body is stronger than it has ever been. Brittany is also just a wonderful person to work with-- she is kind, funny, incredibly knowledgeable and always learning more, and I felt like our work was highly tailored to my body and my goals. We all make new years resolutions to get fit and do more exercise, but I believe that health and wellness resolutions should not be made in the beginning of the year but all year around. I have been working with Brittany, owner of The Co Pilates since June 2016 on an one-to-one basis. I am always on the go since I am an insurance broker who travels a lot to see my clients, so it is key that I have a good exercise regime that will help me with my constant travel. I initially started with Brittany in the Summer of 2015 after I had a bad concussion earlier that year when I slipped and fell on black ice. I had balance issues, which she helped me with by customizing a Pilates program for me to heal and get better when it came to balance and walking. She is absolutely amazing and her new studio in the heart of Union Square in Manhattan is a prime location which is easily accessible. Once you work with Brittany on an one-to-one basis, you can see the true benefits of Pilates customized to you! I recommend it to everyone to visit her and see for yourself! It is quite the experience.

I came to The Co Pilates because I had an unexpected back injury. I'm usually a runner and cyclist, but with long hours at a desk and a packed work travel schedule, I developed some bad habits and muscle weaknesses that were completely debilitating!
Brittany and I worked twice a week together, and she was able to solve in weeks what I had not been able to fix with doctors - I now feel strong and am back to my routine with great skills that keep me healthy in the future.

I loved working with Brittany! I was very intimidated by Pilates before working with Brittany and she does such an amazing job making sure you are doing all your positions correctly while ensuring you are not injuring yourself. She really takes the time to understand how you are feeling throughout the session and custom tailor each session to you and how you are feeling each day. Not to mention the studio is always super clean and has an amazing view!

I have been working with Brittany, and thoroughly enjoyed it so far. She is a very thoughtful and knowledgeable instructor who tailors the workout to the specific needs of the client's body. The studio is beautiful and has a great view and a nice pilates Cadillac and Reformer available for use. Brittany is fun to work with, and I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a personalized, private pilates regimen!

The Co has changed the way I view my body. I was able to use one machine, with the amazing direction of Brittany, to work every muscle in my body and to my core. Before having my first one on one session I assumed pilates would not make me feel as sore or as confident in my workout as in a traditional gym- I was way wrong! Brittany was patient with my movements and helped stretch my body to limits I was not aware of. The facility is nice and in an ideal location to get to from my apartment. Worth every penny. aside from feeling great afterwards, I also have a great time. again, worth every penny.
