Unless you are part of their 'clique' I would stay away. There is a personalized and supportive environment for some but certainly not all. Trainers basically went through the motions and spent more time laughing and joking with their friends. Not professional in my opinion.

You know it's gonna be a heart pumping class when the front windows are fogged up! You walk in & the beats are bumping over the speakers getting you hyped to work out! You check in on the iPad or with a staff member...there's usually staff at the desk near the door greeting folks & being helpful. I've taken classes with Coach Jess, Coach Steph & Coach Cat all of them pushed me, their classes/exercises were challenging, I was sore after all of them & I will definitely return. I love supporting local female owned establishments especially a gym which could be intimidating for women but the environment is safe, secure, friendly, educational & self paced. The set up is spacious, well-organized & has a variety of equipment. Offers morning & evening class times. They always offer package deals too so it's affordable & don't expire for a year usually...unless like me you purchase a flash sale 3 pack that expires in a week & they kindly extended it for me so I was able to take all 3 classes. Those are the kind of gym & business owners I will always $upport & send people their way! Go check them out for yourself!

I was new to regularly working out and really strength training as a whole when I started going to Fit House. At the time it was CrossFit but the format has since evolved to HIIT/circuits with a good mix of strength and cardio. Fast forward to a few months later Iβm stronger than I have ever been. The trainers are awesome about knowing everyoneβs name and providing modifications as needed. The classes have a great energy to them that makes time fly by - you will not get a better workout in 60 minutes, and youβll feel so accomplished afterward. Definitely recommend for people of any fitness level!

I love the fit house. All the trainers are excellent. Because each class is small they are able to be very attentive to correct form, provide modifications and push you to reach your full potential. They have really built a great fitness community!

Amazing atmosphere, flow of class, and great people. The full 60 mins we were moving with a good mix of movements. The class is set up for those that want to push hard or go at their own pace.

This place is a great place to do CrossFit, from the coaches to the vibes of the people. Coaches are truly knowledgeable and have a great eye on proper technique. Highly recommend.

No matter your skill level, Barrier Island Crossfit will help you get better, feel better, and be better. If you're bored or unchallenged in a stagnant fitness routine, If you took time off and are frustrated that you can't do what you used to do, if you spend more time waiting for weights/machines or worried about what music is in your headphones than you do actually working out....... You need to give Barrier Island Crossfit a look. Whatever your opinions are on CrossFit are likely wrong unless you've walked thru their doors.

The staff is so friendly and helpful! All of my questions are always answered and I never feel lost during my workouts. They keep me motivated and I actually enjoy working out now! You have to check it out for yourself! You'll be hooked after your first session!
