Hey parents, want to send your kid here? Or normal people trying to get in the gym. Come here if you wants to go to a disgusting place with the water not being changed since may of last year and the filter beeping red for almost a year now. And the other water machine being broken for over 7 months easy. No one cleans the place. Equipment is poorly spaced out. Locker rooms have to be worse than trench warfare in Vietnam. No paper towels in the locker room. Soap in only one of the dispensers, the air dryer for your hands working 25% of the time. And here’s another one. I am 17 years old and got threatened physically and I feel emotionally scarred probably will never return to a gym after what happened. 40 year old man clearly on steroids confronts me physically and verbally screaming and the front desk guy did nothing. This is an amazing environment. Wouldn’t recommend to anybody

I’ve been a member for over year and this gym is nothing special anymore the staff set the sauna temperature to about 140 to 160 and now it’s just a waste of time a sauna should be at 180 minimum .Ive made multiple complaints and I used to love this gym but will not be renewing membership

I've been going here for a few years now and while I love the equipment, the space, and the atmosphere, I've noticed quite a few downgrades since the new owners took over.
Every week for the last several weeks it seems like something is getting broken and not being repaired.
For example, the water fountains have been broken for a long time now. One is completely inoperable and the other only have the basic function working and not the bottle fill station.
There is also a lack of cleaning wipes regularly as well. It seems like more than a few times a week there won't be any to find anywhere in the gym.
The men's bathroom also has almost no working soap dispensers and the latest thing I just noticed yesterday is that the hand dryer doesn't work at all.
I only bring these things up because it's been very noticeable that the lack of attention to detail and care has gone downhill since the new owners took over.
If things continue to break down at this pace without being fixed there isn't going to be anything there that works aside from the dumbbells.

UPDATE: Cancelled my month to month membership after finding a better gym in the area, but not before being charged an absolutely insane cancellation fee of $75. This place has fallen FAR.

Really wish I could make your day by giving you all a five star rating, sucks, but doesn’t work out today. The options for cancelling a membership do not make sense. You need to revise that, which you won’t, *eye roll moment for you I’m sure.

Second, your facility, for the lack of better terms, sucks. Bathrooms aren’t clean, water machines, 1 doesn’t work and the other needs a filter. Glad we can get clean water at a gym. Oh wait, prob have to buy one from the vender. Good call on that option. The space, prime space you have to workout in. Should’ve stayed in the old building.

I have been a member of The Fitness Mill for 34 years. Each owner has stood on the shoulders of Al Calogero and have worked to maintain a great gym at more than reasonable prices. The classes are great as are the instructors. There have been constant upgrades in equipment as well as the general facility. The staff is outstanding. Membership includes a sauna, steam room, and tanning bed.Unlimited use of the Hydromassage bed and Redlight therapy system comes with premium membership and only $5.00 with general membership. I am hard pressed to see where one can get a better value for their money.

I have been a loyal member of The Fitness Mill for over 20 years, but unfortunately, I’ve decided it’s time to move on. Since the change in ownership, the overall quality and upkeep of the facility have noticeably declined. The interior often has an unpleasant odor, several pieces of equipment remain out of order for extended periods, and the bathrooms are frequently in poor condition. Additionally, the water fountains have been non-functional for over six months, which is unacceptable for any gym environment.

What’s also disappointing is the way management handles feedback. Rather than addressing concerns constructively, their responses to negative reviews often come across as defensive and dismissive. If these issues aren’t addressed soon, I worry about the long-term viability of the business.

Just a cluster of random machines. Everything is on top of each other. Good luck finding an open spot when this place is busy. You will also need to walk the whole gym back and forth 5 times to complete a workout, nothing related is close to each other. They closed their eyes and randomly put stuff on the floor.

The locker rooms smell like literal sewage. Worst smell you will ever experience. And even though there are signs saying no kids there are always 8 year olds running around getting in the way and sitting on equipment. Everything in this place is falling apart. The steam doesn’t work. All the machines are missing seats, cables, handles and using makeshift fixes. The handles on some of the machines are loose or wiggle from it previously breaking. Pretty sad considering every one says “it’s new”. It’s not. The disrespect I've received from the billing side of this gym is phenomenal. Payments being ran early, extra charges. I can't get ahold of this gym and when I tried to cancel it was actually ridiculous the email I received with the information they wanted for me to cancel. BEWARE - They will LOCK YOU IN. No easy way out and I am really upset with this because I had enjoyed going to this gym and this experience has ruined my enjoyment and comfort at the Fitness Mill. Under the new ownership of Erik Fredsell and Bernard Julian Jr., The Fitness Mill has become a gym I would NOT recommend to anyone. The new owners are rude, unprofessional, and create a negative space where health and positivity should be promoted. Also, a 3rd party billing company handles all their business, so buyer beware. I was not contractually bound and it took me a month to cancel my membership. They wanted to charge me my remaining months plus $150 cancellation fee. I had to acquire help from the Better business Bureau and the Attorney General's office before they finally terminated my membership.

I used to have a membership when it was under prior management and I loved the facility. I renewed my membership a few months ago and quickly regretted it. I was unaware it was under new management but once I was informed it made sense. Personally, the managers were not aggressive or rude to me. They are generally pretty unfriendly and often asked guests (women) to go into the bathrooms and check the state of things and report back to them. However, the reason I am giving a 1 star is because of how they speak and treat fellow guests. I have witnessed the managers become belligerent and hostile to other guests. Cursing, screaming, speaking about guests personal information openly, and even threatening violence towards people. I can’t condone or support a business that treats people with such disrespect. It genuinely made me fearful that they would snap on me one day.

Hours kinda rough but I was also spoiled by 24 hour gyms before this. The place is clean but not unusual to see more than a few machines out of order, especially the treadmills. Classrooms are open for use as long as there isn't a class. Environment is friendly and they don't push extra memberships or costs on you. Gym is okay as there are not many options in this area. The employees don’t open the gym on time, waited for over an hour after the gym was scheduled to be open to get into the gym. Wasted my morning in the parking lot and ended up leaving an hour into it as there was no one to open the gym. There were about 8 members in the parking lot also waiting for the gym to open.

Literally THE WORST experience EVER!!!!!! Do not sign up to go here! The lady I just talked to on the phone was the RUDEST! She hung up on me after refusing to assist me, then I called back and she picked up and hung up TWICE! Then she called me and hung up on me! I’ve requested to speak with the general manager but was told I couldn’t because he was working out! I left him several voicemails and never get a response. Every time I go in, I’m told that he’s not there. My payment has been being declined for 2 months in a row with no explication while screwing $70 worth of late fees Per Month! Once I finally got someone nice enough to do some research, they realized they had put the wrong exportation date on my card so they kept declining it. I gave another card that I don’t use because they continue to try to charge me $160 in late fees and since they still have not resolved the fee issue, (after 3 months of my trying) they just charged me another $29 because of incificient funds! That is how I ended up with the lady at the desk that continues to hang up on me and be rude. Mind you, I only signed up for this gym because my son attended a program through the Kelberman Center and liked it so I thought why not! Well this is WHY NOT! I’ve been putting this review off for months in hopes to have it resolved but this is so unprofessional and concerning so hopefully this review will save someone else the trouble!

**update 8/9/22, cleanliness has improved and finally after 6 months they replaced the filters in the water fountains.

Beautiful, modern, brand new facility. That being said there is a serious issue with cleanliness. Several times I have had to inform staff of overflowing trash in the mens locker room as well as it looking like it hasn’t been cleaned up in a couple days. Also, the water bottle filling, drinking fountains , filter status has been red for over a month. Amazon can deliver those by Wednesday.

The equipment is dirty and in disrepair with ripped seat covers and a few pieces of equipment out of service or missing parts. There’s enough disorganized, mismatched exercise equipment for plenty of people to workout. The “zoo” is the nicest part of the gym as it is clean and organized, I see where their priorities lie.

I joined because they had all the equipment and amenities I wanted, free weights, sauna in the locker room and several fine businesses on the outside of the building. But, for a comparable price, there are other options locally for the same price. I come to the gym to workout and get in the sauna not get a baseball card or haircut afterwards.

I was a member I enjoyed the workouts. When I joined I asked if it was safe to keep my personal exercise equipment in the lockers there. I was told I could. I joined in October my items had been in the locker since October. In April my locker had been emptied out without my knowledge. I was told my items had been thrown away. I requested to speak with Alex seeing how I was never advised to remove my items from the locker. According to staff Alex was on vacation, they didn't know when Alex would return. Called in June Alex was said to be in a meeting. Later the same day Alex was said to have left. I at this point chose to withdraw my membership for lack of consideration. I had been disrespect by a female employee with hostile behavior when I asked about my belongings. I wanted to speak about these issues. I did speak to a supposed assistant manager. I told him I wanted to withdraw my membership, Without asking why he discontinued my membership. The good thing I was told I would not incur a fee. The disappointment is no one replaced my items or consider my feelings of not being informed to remove my items from the locker. Totally undeserving of this treatment. Always paid each month and respected the facility. I will not ever consider their actions as quality customer service.

I brought my son Anthony to take advantage of the 30 for 30 personal trainer special. He had lost some weight on his own and had started bringing him to Planet Fitness. Very well run gym with outstanding equipment that recently expanded triple the size. All new conditioning room, more cardio machines and new membership features that accentuate an already well run gym. Expect to work hard when you show up, with more weight training equipment for the strength training connisure. All new delicious protein and pre workout options and good positive vibes all around. Everyone gets along here which is definitely a good thing, never seen one fight or hostility between members in over two years. I joined the Fitness Mill when they had a $189 for a year membership summer special. I liked being there this past winter, and mostly used the facility for the free Wi-Fi, and as place to sit and snack. The work out facilities are really nice. Lots of free weights, machines and mirrors. Showers, steam room & sauna. There's plenty of parking. The facility was well maintained. There is an elevator in the back and a staircase in the front. The second floor has the free weights and locker rooms. The third floor has most of the machines and organized fitness classes.
Now, with the pandemic, the physical space is shut down. I hear that they are offering all manner of virtual workout classes, and are there for their members, with nutrition and exercise advise.
