I have practiced at all The Hot Yoga Studios except Saratoga. All of your instructors are excellent. Since restarting my Hot yoga journey 8 weeks ago I have reset and reshaped my body . I'm down 1 size . Thank you for providing me a space to take care of me.

I just took a restorative yoga workshop with Kara at HYS East Greenbush. It was one of the most relaxing, polished and enjoyable yoga class I've ever taken. Kara has a "warm cookies" personality and delivery. Each posture was explained carefully and was easy to understand and enjoyable to perform. Such a wonderful experience. Thank you Kara!

I travel nearly 50 miles to practice at this sacred space. The Hot Yoga Spot in Glenmont has been my place of grounding, healing, and renewal.

Each instructor brings something special: Julie and Liv with their soft, kind voices that calm the mind; Karli, whose deep understanding of anatomy ensures safety and alignment in every pose; and Kendra, whose warmth, encouragement, and genuine care uplift every student.

These beautiful souls have guided me through many peaceful and empowering moments this summer. I’m filled with gratitude for their presence and for the healing energy this studio radiates.

May the owner and the entire team continue to be blessed with light, strength, and the protection of the supreme divine.

LOVE…LOVE…LOVE!!! My friend kept asking me to attend a class. I bought a special package and went. I cannot express how much I love this. I am new to yoga so I don’t know many poses but the instructors are super accommodating and pleasant. It’s doing wonders for me really, both mentally and physically and it is clean! Highly recommend!

If you've been considering, just go and do it! As a Veteran with some of the "normal" struggles, this is a SAFE place! You can just go and do your thing and mind your own business, or you can stay a little after class and chat with the lovely and caring instructors. Started here with their Sweat with Vets classes (awesome!) and am now a full unlimited member. Sure there's other facilities, but Na'maste right here! πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ

I’m so grateful to have added hot yoga to my fitness routine! After dealing with chronic neck and shoulder pain from years of strength training and a job that keeps me carrying heavy loads, I really needed a change. The fast-paced classes taught by Dana and Jeannette are amazingβ€”they help me build strength and endurance while also loosening up those tight muscles. I also love balancing those intense sessions with some gentle yoga with Carolyn, which feels like the best stretch ever! Since incorporating these classes into my routine, my neck pain has improved so much. It’s been a wonderful journey! Thank you hot yoga spot.

The Hot Yoga Spot has changed my life. I found yoga on a retreat and stepped into my first studio at the East Greenbush location. I have never felt so safe, at home and welcome. Because of this studio my practice has evolved in so many ways and I am now looking to get certified myself.

First time here and I had a disappointing experience with this studio's customer service. On a freezing, snowy day with a temperature of 23Β°F, I arrived at the East Greenbush location at 10:31 AM, after driving 20 minutes from Albany. To my surprise, the door was locked, and there was no one to assist me.

When I called, the representative suggested I come another day or consider a different location. I found this response frustrating and inconvenient, especially after making the effort to attend. Many yoga studios I’ve visited allow participants to join a session even a few minutes after it starts, which makes this situation all the more frustrating.

And they said the ticket is nonrefundable.

In comparison, Best Fitness on Central Avenue offers a much better yoga experience with more accommodating service.

I am so happy to be a member of TYHS. I have been attending the EG classes religiously for over a year. Being a part of such a strong and supportive community has helped ground and center me in such a life changing way. My hour on my matt every day that I am able, is the absolute best thing I have done for myself in decades. The strength I have gained, both physically and emotionally, helps me to center and ground myself in my life roles. I am more productive, organized and driven. I will always show up for myself at THYS. As a working mom of 4 super involved travel sports kids, I love the ability to book my app for the week, and make adjustments to times and locations on the fly. The MindBody app is amazing, and helps me to plan and to show up. There are so many amazing options for classes and convenient locations. I am in awe of the instructors enthusiasm and knowledge. So many wonderful instructors lead us in practice, and each has their own unique twist to make every class special. Everyone deserves an hour of peace on their matt to tune out the chatter, and leave refreshed and renewed and full of hope.

I took my first yoga class in 6th grade (a VERY long time ago) as part of an after school program and immediately loved it. As an adult, I was a sporadic yogi, taking classes perhaps a couple of times a month in the evening at the JCCC or in local parks during warmer months. It took becoming a member of The Hot Yoga Spot in 2012 to convince me to commit to a regular practice.

Since joining THYS I've taken more than 575 (!) in person classes scattered between 3 convenient locations, as well countless virtual classes during the pandemic. I've also enjoyed pop up classes at the Empire State Plaza, beer yoga at Fort Orange Brewing, Yogapalooza and Tulip Fest weekend special events. There's ALWAYS a class that interests me and fits into my schedule.

The studios are clean, the instructors are warm and professional and my yoga practice has greatly improved. I never imagined mastering chaturanga, crow and headstands, but, here I am with each of them under my belt. Bird of paradise - I'm coming for you and getting closer every time!

The Unlimited membership I've purchased the last few years has been some of the best money I've spent - bonus that my health insurance company CDPHP picks up $400 of my membership fee. Win-win.

I can't imagine belonging to another studio. #thehotyogaspotlifeforever

I can't say enough great things about the Hot Yoga Spot. All of the instructors are incredible! They are all very knowledgeable and caring. Every instructor has their own unique style which makes it so fun. I never stop learning. I love the fact that there are so many different classes to choose from as well as locations. The owner of the Hot Yoga spot really cares about the patrons and considers them to be a "valued" member of their yoga community. I never really knew much about yoga when I first started. I am proud to say that I just renewed my second yearly membership and I feel truly blessed to have found this place.

I have been doing yoga, self taught, for 11+ years. This summer my number one goal was to do as much yoga as possible to help me center myself and get fit in an instructional setting. This passed year, I've gained a lot of weight and all of the teachers, no matter what class I am taking, make it easy to follow along and modify when needed. I have been nothing but pleased with my overall experience. I mostly attend class at the Rensselaer location, but have also been to the Latham one too. No matter location or instructor, the classes are just what I need mentally, physically, and spiritually. I love how each teacher has their own little style and take, brining personality to the classes. It is hot, but not too hot. I like the heat because I feel it makes you have to focus on breath more and be selfaware. It also warms you up fast and you get a deeper stretch. The first time was a little overwhelming, but by the third time I was hooked!! I have nothing but positive to say!

first, as far as signing up on the website, don't bother... it says there are tons of spots but when you get there it's almost full.... i wnt for the BAR class, having done ballet and nursing a shoulder injury i figured staying on my feet for as much of the class as possible would be great.... i think in total we did 5 minutes on the bar,, the rest was a challenging core workout with the plank as the base for many of the exercises... the teacher was good and clear and the workout was good if that's what you wanted, but if you sign up for bar work you will be disappointed... the room is hot,,, but not outrageously so... i think more is the concern that you walk out of a heated room into a cold air conditioned locker type room..... the water fountain didn't work, which was a drag after a hot workout... the best way to describe the over all tone of the place would be unfriendly and clicky.... when the workout was done, no one came up and asked if i liked it, hoped to see you again, none of that,,,, it seemed pretty clear being as i was not as fit as others that i was not their target market.... maybe in the beginners yoga they are more in tune to people who can not always keep up... but for the most part, you are not encouraged to come back in any way.. oh, and if you don't have a yoga mat or forget yours, as i did thinking it was a bar work class, they charge you a dollar to rent one.... for me, having been taking yoga for nearly 20 years, never have i been charged to rent a yoga mat, especially as a new person coming for the first time....

so overall, not great as a person experience, the exercise program was fine... i just wish it had been more clearly represented...
