I was really excited to try a class for my active 13 m/o. The coach was lovely & interactive, class model was great with engaging timeline. I really hope this location gets some new, cleaner equipment it seems very dated & to my horror my little one picked up a chewed piece of gum on the floor of the venue. A more thorough and hygienic atmosphere is necessary

I’ve been a member for a year plus and just cancelled my membership after a really disappointing and disrespectful interaction with the acting director for the summer at the Scarsdale location, Brea (spelling?). I recommended a friend to do a trial class with their son and they refused to honor it, arguing with us that what the website says doesn’t reflect their store policy it while we stood there with 3 crying kiddos. She was visibly annoyed with me, and when I said I was sorry that she was upset but they should clarify the policy she turned to the girl at the desk and roller her eyes letting me know she was the director. {CORRECTION, they don’t offer a free trial class for prospective clients - the owner called after posting this review to clarify}

I told him I would update my review to reflect my mistake, but it doesn’t change my opinion on their customer service. I’ve also had issues scheduling makeups - he said it’s because of the new portal they have to use, but it’s really not practical - you have to call, but a lot of the time they don’t answer the phone and if you don’t get a hold of them you don’t get to keep the make up. You can’t even switch days from Mon to Sat for example unless you get a hold of them. Last time I showed up on a weekday instead of our scheduled Sat and Brea told me she would let us in that day since the class wasn’t full, but you can’t do that unless you call and/or text them. I don’t know what parents have time for that…

For $169/month, there’s no way I need to deal with this level of customer service. I called immediately when I got outside to cancel my membership and spoke to Brea,
as I definitely don’t feel comfortable letting her teach my son after she was visibly annoyed with me. She processed my cancellation and let me know I’ll be charged one more time before they cancel my membership. Another fun policy they offer!

It’s really unfortunate as this is close to our house, but we’ll have to go the extra distance to MyGym in Dobbs, which we were previously members at. Appreciated the call from the owner to check in and let me know there’s no free trial class for anyone, but for the cost and the type of business it is (serving children) I would expect more customer service.

This review is based on a birthday party experience. We came as guests for a nursery school classmate’s a party. The welcome area is bright and welcoming with cubbies for shoes and a seating area for parents to see into the gym space where the kids are. However, it got very crowded pretty quickly with all the parents. The actual gym area is a bit depressing with the lighting, the equipment is a bit rundown too. The staff running the activities for the kids were 1 adult and 2 teen (or very young looking adults) assistants and they all tried their best to keep up the cheerful energy. The party space was bright and welcoming and a good size for all the kids to enjoy pizza and cake comfortably.

Not sure where all the 5 stars are coming from but it is definitely not a 5 star place. My daughter love acrobat and gymnastics but this place made her not come back. How can instructers be encouraging if the ratio is 6-7 kids per instructer. They have them do obstacles with no supervision.
My daughter never went back after first class and they still charged me full membership plan.
Yes, they are nice but only to take your money and not care whether your child has a great experience to make them com back.
Dont waste your time or money here. Theres better places.

This place deserves 11 stars. My daughter turned 2. This was amazing for their short attention spans. You have the whole place where they can bounce off the walls and in their own world, but also have a gym instructor there for awesome activities in btwn. Book them for your party. It was hassle free. They set everything up for me. Packed up my gifts. Served the food. Sanitizer handed to each person before we ate. I cant say enough positive things. The staff were amazing. Accommodating. Helpful. Enthusiastic. Loved it for my daughter!

Excellent gym as far as super friendly and enthusiastic instructor a clean and large space. It's hard for me to tell how much my kid enjoys the class because she's kind of quiet and likes to stare blankly into space, but there's no crying, so I consider that a win. It's super easy to sign up for a weekly class. Your credit card on file gets charged monthly and you are good to go. Gotta love modern technology. Getting a make-up class is easy - You just call to inform that you won't be making it on your regular gym class day and let them know what day you want to do the make-up. Parking is easy, too.

My son is now 16 months and has been enrolled at the Little Gym of Scarsdale since he was 12 months. I love the diverse activities and high level of engagement, both structured and exploratory. I also love coaches Bianca and John. John is the one who is always there at the time I attend and he is just amazing with my son. As a first time mom, it is important to surround my son with people who sincerely love working with children. John makes my son feel comfortable and safe while exploring new motor skills and reaching milestones. I recommend whole heartedly.

Thank you John and the rest of the staff at the Little gym at Scarsdale for giving me a peace of mind while my son gets to have big fun!

I just had my daughter’s 2nd birthday party at The Little Gym and the coaches were wonderful. They were very hands on with entertaining the kids and making sure they were having fun. Everyone was very helpful with decorating and accommodating with timing. I was very appreciative of everything and highly recommend this place for birthday parties.

Bianca and her staff have gone above and beyond to help our son adapt and to learn new skills. Having a child with sensory issues makes these types of things difficult & many places are not welcoming. That has not been the case here while my son is not the easiest Bianca and her staff had made the process feel easy to us as a family and have been nothing but helpful and welcoming. We truly could never thank them enough.

My 3 year old daughter attends this gym and loves the classes. It is clean, well run and the coaches are AWESOME! We also had her birthday party at the gym. I loved how the coaches just got right in and took control we didn’t need to do much. There were just the right amount of coaches and support to be sure the party ran smoothly and parents hardly lifted a finger. The kids absolutely loved it.

We LOVE The Little Gym. My son looks forward to class every week. They combine play with learning, balancing skills, structure and freedom of exploration in a smooth way. My son's balance, strength, and skills have improved dramatically since we've started. We even just had his birthday party there - it was wonderful! He got to have his friends come and do Gym class with him. Truly a wonderful place with excellent staff!

The kids have a ton of freedom... Freedom to participate with the group or freedom to go off and do their own thing and explore the gym at their own pace. It's really a magical place for a small kid to be able to roam freely throughout the large gym. And the instructors are great at encouraging kids to participate AND to explore.

Very misleading rating. Terrible experience! Came here for a friend's daughter birthday party. The room was sooo cold and they do not allow kids to wear socks. Note, instructors do wear socks. The floor of the gym was ice cold and poor kids had their feet freezing off. We've been to many kids places and not one had a problem with kids wearing socks.
When we brought up the issue to the woman who was leading the party, she was plain rude. The way she was talking left everyone feel very uncomfortable.
I understand that there might be insurance requirements for kids not to wear socks or management requirements to keep the room a certain temperature, but there are diffident ways to respond to clients. Being rude will not bring more customers, but will definitely add negative reviews.

Came here for a birthday party. This place does not allow kids to wear socks. Its 25 degrees outside, and it looks like they do not adjust their thermostat. Besides the space being cold, the floors were freezing. Even we, adults, had our feet froze off. After touching my daughter’s feet, I decided to put the socks on her, non slip socks. The loud lady who works here (she was wearing socks) came up to us right away and just kept yelling “NO SOCKS”. To my argument that the floors are freezing and if she thinks its warm enough she shouldn’t wear socks either then. Its NY winter, kids are getting sick right and left without “the extra” instances of their feet being cold for a long period of time. She just got furious and claimed to be an adult, that’s why she doesn’t have to wear socks. Good argument. I understand that they probably have insurance requirements, but there are ways to address it, like raising the temperature in the room, or sell nonslip special super non slip socks.

Very unpleasant experience dealing with the staff here and I’m just hoping my two year old doesn’t get sick.

Not enough structure for my liking I enrolled my granddaughter hoping for her too have gymnastics lesson, but the class is usually a zoo because this parents don’t know the word discipline. Do not mistake the fact that the teachers are all sweet and great but the can do so much when the parents don’t teach their children discipline at home it makes their jobs so hard. The fact that it’s not a cheap class frustrates me more.

We LOVE The Little Gym of Scarsdale! Great location with ample parking. The space itself is large and very well organized. My 22 month old son has had the pleasure of taking classes with Coaches Claudia, Morgan and John and all 3 are beyond wonderful! Also, the gym's class make-up policy is the best. So many classes offered on different days and times. We are so happy with The Little Gym of Scarsdale !
