Our 4 year and 18 month old boys have been coming to the little gym since they were babies. They always look forward to going to class and have a great time once they get there. They've developed lots of motor and language skills along the way. The staff are all fantastic with kids... I'm amazed by their patience and unwavering positivity. We have family in the Hauppauge area that we visit frequently from out of state and we try to bring our toddler to this Little Gym location for some familiarity while we are traveling. Staff has always made it a priority to accommodate getting our child into the right class with space available, even on short notice. We love TLG; it's such a great opportunity to work on socialization and get all the wiggles out. Our toddler thrives on repetition and consistency so having the same equipment, songs, and pattern to the class introduces a sense of comfort and this is especially valuable when we are away from our home base. Our older daughter attended a TLG location in another state more than 10 years ago and while the programs have evolved, the company as a whole has also retained their focus on personal growth and skill development in a supportive environment that meets kids where they are. I have been taking my son, Kane, to this gym since he was 4 months old (the youngest age you can start) and we’ve loved it from day one. We even upgraded our membership to twice a week because it has become such an important part of his routine. From the very beginning, I noticed immediate changes in his physical and social development, even as a tiny infant. Now at 2.5 years old, it truly feels like a second home for us. He actually shouts “hooray!” the moment we pull into the parking lot, which says everything about how positive this place has been for him.

The staff is warm, patient, and genuinely invested in every child, and the classes strike the perfect balance between structure and play. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and I’m so grateful for a place where my son can grow, learn, and have so much fun all at once.

The Little Gym of Smithtown is AMAZING!

Both of my children attend in different age groups, and we’ve been coming since my oldest was just 15 months old — she’s 4 now and still absolutely loves it. The staff is incredible. Mr. Matt and Ms. Liz are so kind, patient, and truly attentive to every child. They make the classes fun, engaging, and confidence-boosting.

The facility is always clean, organized, and full of energy. My kids look forward to it every week! The Little Gym of Smithtown has been such a wonderful part of their growth, and I can’t recommend it enough.

The Little Gym is absolutely amazing and I’ve been taking my children here for years. I’ve never had a bad interaction with the staff and they’re absolutely amazing to the children. It may be called The Little Gym, but the positive impact it has on children is HUGE. We have been going here for almost 2 years with my daughter, Willow, and the confidence it has instilled in her is just wonderful. Every teacher is amazing but I want to give a special shout out to Mr. Matt. He works tirelessly, remembers every child’s name, and truly is the “leader” in my eyes. Your hard work and dedication is unmatched and does not go unnoticed. Thank you, Mr. Matt!!! We are so grateful for everything this space provides and can’t wait until my son starts walking so he can join in on the fun too.

Would give ZERO STAR if I could. - ABSOLUTELY TRASH. This place must have bought google reviews.

I took my baby here to register for the classes, but came back with lots of negative feelings, a crying and traumatized baby.
Before registering, I was asking questions to learn more about what classes they have, what’s the structure etc. Of course I needed to see how my baby will react to this new place, if he will like it or not, if the instructor and the environment was great and supportive or not. This place is absolutely the opposite. The supposedly “educators(!)” (mom is the owner and daughter is the other educator (!)) are nothing but trauma masters for kids. DO NOT EVEN GET CLOSE TO THIS PLACE. NOT ALONE HAND YOUR PRECIOUS ONES TO THEM. WHERE THEY YELL AT CUSTOMERS AND THREATEN THEM BY CALLING THE COPS(and they can’t even call them actually cause they know they are wrong).
If your kid wants to see inside the play area, be prepared that they will yell at your kid in front of other kids they are actually “educating”.
Not a good experience for kids, definitely a traumatic experience for a little kid. Instead of supporting kids’ confidence and nurturing, THEY TEAR THEM DOWN.
I was at Kids Strong Commack and wanted to give this place a try too. But absolutely NO.
Kids Strong Commack is definitely much supportive, encouraging and kind. Registered my baby there directly after here.
I would never have my kid again here at Little Gym of Smithtown. They are just running mom-daughter business, and traumatizing kids. Not even close to supporting at all. So you don’t even have anybody to complain. Don’t traumatize your kids.

We absolutely love The Little Gym! Our daughter Arya started when she was just 18 months old, and now at 4, she still can’t wait to go each week. The Little Gym in Smithtown is FANTASTIC! We’ve been going for about a month and can’t get enough. It’s truly the highlight of our week; my 1.5 year old son is SO happy and engaged the entire time which isn’t the case with other weekly programs we’ve tried. All of the teachers we’ve met so far are extremely friendly and welcoming. They’re sure to change up the activities in the class every week too. So far we are very thankful we joined TLG as a great way to stay active in the heat and in the cold while also socializing. Thank you TLG!!

My 16 month old has been there for just over a month. And it’s been pushing her out of her comfort zone. She grows more confident with each class. Ms. Liz has been AMAZING! The class set up allows your child to try something new, something they love and something they don’t from circle time, to free play, skills, and the always favorite bouncy balls and bubbles!

The Little Gym is an amazing place for young children to learn and grow! Today, my wife took our 20 month old to try out the gym. Facility opens at 915am, class is at 915am. Instructor refused our son because she didn't have time to give my wife a waiver form to sign and stated she had to start the class.

If paperwork is needed, it would be smart to open a few minutes before the class starts.

My son watched from the outside and cried that he could not play.

Very professional and compassionate staff you have there.

Additional information
The waiver was texted to her and completed but she was told to wait for another girl who should have been there (assuming she was late to work). Left in the front and then denied entry.

As far as checking availability is concerned, it showed three open spots online.

Again, poor professionalism.

I can’t say enough great things about the Little Gym of Smithtown - especially about Ms. Liz and Mr. Matt. From the moment you walk in, it feels like family. Everyone is warm and welcoming and they’re super accommodating. Every teacher we’ve met is skilled at meeting the kids right where they are - and helping us parents learn too :) I started with my 2 year old back in January and he’s typically super shy but he immediately connected with Matt. He asks for the gym every week and has found so much joy. He’s also learned a TON physically, socially, and academically that he never got going to other social groups I had him in. I was on the fence about joining mostly because of the cost but it is worth every single penny. Already booked his third birthday party here because he loves it so much. You won’t regret your experience here.

PARENTS EVERYWHERE “DROP IN DOES NOT MEAN DROP IN” according to Mr. Matt of the Little Play Gym of Smithtown.

Now, I’ve never been to this place for an actual class or anything like that. I swung by because on their website it specified a drop in from 1145 to 1215 and Id been looking for a place to take my LO for classes. I checked the website and saw they had a drop in! See the photo for the gist. This was not part of the classes, or parties or camps schedule. I texted through the website - I’ve attached the response - but there was confusion and since I was close and the “drop in” was happening now I went over to the location. When I got there, Mr. Matt, curtly (he wasn’t outright rude but he was certainly not polite or understanding or friendly) informed me that “drop in” does not mean “drop in” it mean a scheduled private play date. Based on this one interaction, Mr. Matt’s lack of cordiality or help, his blasé “drop in doesn’t mean drop in” attitude shows me just how this business thinks about it’s customers, I won’t be returning for their classes or services to this location.

We went to the Huntington location when my daughter was four months old until 1.5 years and we loved it there! We then moved to Smithtown Fall 2017 when she was just about 2 and have been at the Little gym of Smithtown for almost 2 years. We absolutely couldn't recommend it enough.The classes are amazing and my daughter loves it so much. The staff, the activities, the routine. We had our daughters 6th birthday party here over the weekend, it was her first real party. We could not have been happier with the staff and the energy that they brought. It was truly an amazing party. Matt was so energetic and seemed to be genuinely thrilled to spend time with all of the kids. The entire staff was so professional, while still maintaining a fun filled experience for the kids. I would HIGHLY recommend The Little Gym of Smithtown to anyone. Planning the whole party was a breeze ,they are on point keeping in touch with you and making it as special as possible for your child. They called and asked what her favorite color was, what music she liked, what her favorite activities were and made it all happen. They decorated, provided pizza and juice for the kids and even ordered extra pizza for the adults (for a minimal extra charge) so that we didn’t have to worry about it. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
