The Trinity is an amazing community of bad-ass women (yes and men too but anyway my classes are all women) who inspire me to try new things and get better and stronger each week. The coaching is everything (thanks, Emily!) and I need it because there is no comparison between a workout at the Trinity and one on my own. Even if you have never lifted a weight or done a plank etc (and I pretty much had not), they'll support you through it. People need strength training - especially women as they age. Check it out.

The Trinity is not only a gym, but a place where you make new friends & catch up with old friends. What truly sets the Trinity gym apart is the positive culture fostered by the amazing coaches - Seamus, John, Emily, Aoife & Kayla. The small group classes are fantastic, challenging, fun and the energy from the coaches motivate you to do your best!
What I love is our Saturday morning coffee group get together after our workout. We have had multiple fun events outside of the gym, night outs. Hikes, pickle ball events, beach days, etc!
If you are looking for a gym that's more than just a place to work out, the Trinity gym is the place to be.

There’s a great mix of classes for every level, but my favourite is the women’s strength class with Emily. She creates such a safe space where we all push ourselves and each other! I always leave feeling miles better inside and out.

If you’re not only looking for a gym but are looking for an incredible group of people that build you up, keep you consistent and help you power through every class; THIS IS IT!! I started off with personal one on one training with Aiofe and then dove straight into strength classes with Emily. My absolute favorite class is Spice Saturday with Seamus and if you’re feeling crazy the run club just before with John!!! This is the gym you want, I promise.

I joined The Trinity in January in an effort to kickstart my wedding training for my wedding this August. I’ve always had on and off again relationships with the gym and struggled to maintain consistency on my own. I was new to the LIC neighborhood and wanted to give something local a try - even better, it’s Irish owned, so I thought I’d find some community there! And I was right - this is hands down the best and most inclusive gym environment I’ve ever been in! The 12 week block programs are fantastically structured to build strength and endurance and no body part is left behind! The small group set up is wonderful because you get individualized focus while also being part of a team. We laugh, groan, and cheer each other on - it’s very uplifting! The team also organize a ton of additional activities that bring the entire gym community together which I really love! Emily is an amazing coach and her Wednesday ladies night is the highlight of my week! I started thinking “oh I’ll just do one twelve week block to get back in the swing of things” but now I’m 3 blocks in and couldn’t imagine leaving!

The Trinity is hands down the best gym I’ve ever been to. I love the class formats, they’re always challenging, well-structured but also fun. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, and have succeeded in creating an environment that makes you feel welcomed from day one.
The sense of community here is unmatched. It helped me prepare for my first doubles Hyrox competition, and motivated me to continue my training afterwards. It’s the perfect place to stay accountable and constantly progress in your training.

I’ve been attending evening classes with Emily and Cayla for ~6 months now. I did try a few other workout classes and personal training gyms in LIC, but Trinity stood out for a few reasons:
- the classes are structured enough to build real progress but varied enough to stay engaging. (I feel like I’m actually learning core exercises; not just going to a class to break a sweat for an hour)
- They mix strength and cardio in a way that’s approachable and not overwhelmingly chaotic.
- the community is truly supportive and the coaches are great.
- progress is tangible - with the benchmarks and number tracking, I never feel like I’m wasting effort.
Cayla does a great job of pushing you to your limits just enough without it feeling discouraging, and Emily’s coaching cues (which are easily the most effective I’ve encountered) have been invaluable for refining my form—something I struggled with lifting as a beginner for years.

Fantastic gym. Love the setup, smaller classes that allows the incredible trainers to make sure you are doing the exercises correctly. My favorite part is that they keep track of your progress for you!! It removes all the guess work. For example, I can now say that my back squat has improved by 200% from when I started! I would’ve never kept track like that on my own. Highly recommend!!! Just don’t take the morning class cause I want those! 🤪😋🏋️♂️🏃

The entire staff at Trinity is really wonderful. All incredibly friendly, supportive and competent. I've been working with Aoife and honestly could not ask for a better trainer... From Equinox to Soul Cycle to Rumble, I’ve tried them all. The Trinity NYC is the first gym I’ve been where the trainers really work at building a fitness community with everyone that goes there, while giving you really great workouts and got me towards my Hyrox goals. I love how everything is tracked on a weekly basis, seeing myself get stronger each week and I also love the small group training, and the focus on mobility and staying injury free. Training for my second Ironman World Championship John prescribed a workout and conditioning class that is absolutely crucial for the Swim, Bike, Run of the competition. I look forward to every workout session with John not just because he knows his stuff but he always has a big happy smile on his face. If you want to feel lots of positive energy good spirit and walk out feeling good about yourself then Trinity is the Gym for you. It’s never easy to go into a gym for your first time but these guys are really super friendly and help you fit right in.

Aoife has been an absolute rock star in helping me tackle my old injuries and transforming my fitness journey. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and somehow knows exactly how to push you just the right amount without overdoing it. What I love most is her holistic approach — it’s not just about lifting weights. She’s helped me improve my strength, mobility, posture, and even given me game-changing guidance on nutrition.
I came in with lingering pain and stiffness that I thought I'd just have to live with, but Aoife's personalized training and expertise have made such a difference. I feel stronger, move better, and, most importantly, I’m finally pain-free. She truly listens and tailors every session to exactly what I need, whether it’s focusing on mobility one day or pushing for strength gains the next.

One of the best things about the Trinity though is that the trainers are not just focused on ensuring members get a good workout, but they have also created a fantastic community. We don’t just train together, we often take our workouts outside of the gym, whether it be to take part in an event (Hyrox, 5Ks, 1/2 marathons etc.), go hiking, or even play pickle ball.

I love the Trinity and highly recommend it! I started coming here about 6 months ago after moving to the neighborhood and looking for a new gym nearby. I was initially hesitant about the cost of small group & personal training compared to a more classic gym, especially because I wasn’t sure if I would be consistent. I was active playing sports growing up, but as an adult I had never found a fitness routine that I was able to stick with. Especially after working from home since the pandemic, I wasn’t getting as much movement as I wanted.
Very happy I gave it a try, because for the first time in my adult life, I’ve gotten into a consistent workout routine that I actually enjoy! I think the class-based structure is very helpful for someone like me who previously struggled with getting motivated to go workout on any given day, because I go to the same classes each week and don’t have to think about it. With this program, I’ve been feeling better physically and mentally than I have for a long time, and I’m stronger than I’ve ever been before.
I also really like the small group format of the classes. Before going to Trinity, I had been interested in trying strength training for a few years but was intimidated about trying to start on my own. The class format allows the coaches to provide personal guidance and correction on form, or give alternatives if you have an injury. Every single one of the coaches is awesome, they are all super nice and have created a really friendly and fun atmosphere at the gym. I didn’t expect how much I was going to like the social & community aspect, but it’s so lovely to go to a gym where you get to know everyone & people are chatty, and it’s become something I really value.

What an incredible team to work out with!! Aoife, John, and all are amazing coaches that make working out a delight. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about The Trinity NYC. After spending months debating whether or not to try it out (didn't think I could do such a challenging workout), I convinced a few of my workmates to join me in weekly sessions. We all range in ability (I'm pregnant, one person has never worked out a day in her life, a few people have consistent fitness routines) and we ALL come together -- with varrying abilities, mixed levels of stamina and A TON of support for one another. We all agree, it is the highlight of our week. Something that intimidated me, is now is one of my greaetest sources of strength. The team is supportive, flexible and just wants to make the work out work for you. Aoife (our WONDERFUL trainer) has been so supportive and helps me to modify my workouts for my growing belly. I was told about Trinity by a friend but I don’t like gyms so I never thought any more about it. But it did sit in the back of my head if I’m been honest as I was a runner and footballer growing up so that passion was always there. I’m a mom of 3 sporty, kids and I work also , so I definitely had no time for ME.
It all changed 3 years ago when my twin died. I felt losted and sad. my friend mentioned The Trinity again. So I took up the courage to call Seamus. I was very nervous meeting Seamus because I didn’t know what I was doing.. it couldn’t have went any better. He was nice. Easy to talk to. I felt me again.
My journey so far I absolutely love the Trinity seamus, John , Aoife , Emily and Benny are all amazing coaches. The Trinity is more like a community than a gym to me. and I have made great friends. My knee is 100% better I have no pain. I am stronger and toned.

I’ve been going to The Trinity for the past 12 weeks for 1:1 personal training. All the trainers are super knowledgeable, supportive, and funny. This is my first time doing strength training, and I’ve improved 200% from my first session in back squats to name one exercise. Would highly recommend for people wanting to get stronger!

Trinity is a gym like no other. I have been working out with my trainer Aoifa since last December and it has been on of the best decision I have ever made. I have never felt healthier and in better shape. I never worry about getting injured during my sessions and she really listens to any concerns or questions I may have. The other top reason why I love going to Trinity is that sooner or later everyone gets to know each other and it feels like a community, a family. All the trainers are friendly and welcoming with everyone...even if you are not their client. I still have a long way to go but it's nice knowing Aoifa is in my corner....she is my biggest cheerleader and never lets me quit.

I go to the Trinity gym pretty consistently 2 mornings a week doing strength training, and I love it. There are a number of reasons why I love it. I never joined a gym before and never stuck to a workout routine for many number of reasons we all know the excuses and stuff that happens in life. The days that it's hard to get out of bed or the days you just don't have any interest in going if you push through and just go you won't be sorry once the workout is done. The Trinity has now become my 3rd place, as Seamus so often referred to it. Strength training is my focus but they offer so much more. You choose and they work with you and support you in your goals. I just want to have strong bones and body strength for my second half of life. Our workouts are planned each week to target muscle groups and change it up regularly, there is science behind it etc i don't have to worry or keep track of any of that becauseTrinity takes care of that for you. Because it changes each week whether its increasing weight or change in workout it never gets old. How they keep track of all for us individually is only amazing. I train with the same people each week, and we have a laugh and we get results. I would highly recommend this gym. They are a very special group and I only wish them the very best.

I have been thrilled with the progress that I’ve made since I started at the Trinity Gym in spring 2024. I have chronic lower back issues and had spent three years working from home, basically sitting all day so was getting very little exercise. I had no lower body or core strength. Overtime, I felt like I was deteriorating. Then a friend told me about Trinity!
I am not a gym lover but joining the Trinity is one of the best investments I have made in myself ever! The gym is small and the community is positive. On many occasions it’s just my trainer, Aoife and I. Aoife really met me where I was at and I’ve built a lot of body strength over the past four months. I’m now doing one personal training session and a small group class.
I have a 10-year-old who is thrilled to see her mom being more active and (almost) able to keep up with her!
I’d advise anyone who has put working on strength and fitness as the last thing on their priority list or, who feels intimidated by a big traditional gym to check out the Trinity.

I can’t say enough good things about the crew at Trinity Gym. The Trinity gym is the best community you can join. The top of the line equipment and personalized training plans that run in blocks so you will never get bored. While I am a big supporter of small businesses, I was concerned about my recent experience at their sponsored free park class. I felt a lot of tightness and couldn't complete the class, partly because stretches was not the first thing for the class to do. Despite the advertisement's claim of welcoming beginners, this didn’t seem to be the case. The trainer didn't check on me, though a few participants did express concern and offered suggestions. I would advise effective stretching videos to be provided to avoid any possibility of it happening to a participant again.

Trinity NYC isn't just a gym, it's a supportive community that's become my favorite place to be every week. I even get FOMO when I miss a class! The trainers are amazing - Seamus helped me overcome a year-long shoulder injury I thought was permanent, and Aoife is a fantastic female role model. John helped me get back into running pain-free, and Emily's Barre classes are fun and effective. They all genuinely care about their clients and it shows. Great gym! My experience training with John, Seamus and Aoife has been incredible and very personable. They all take a personal approach to training and take a true interest in achieving everyone’s goals. Their small group classes of 4-6 people particularly make the experience targeted and focused to each individual. This is a great option for all levels beginner to advanced. Additionally, the program changes every month so you’re always finding new challenges and improving in different areas. Training at the Trinity really takes out the painful part of working out because they all make the experience very enjoyable and fun (particularly with the wide range of Latin music)… keep up the good work!

As a 40 something mother of two, I had been wanting to get back into shape and was at a bit of a loss. I hadn’t been a gym member in awhile and though I did my spin classes, I knew I wasn’t achieving my goals. Working out with John over the last almost two years, I have seen a complete change in my body, my attitude towards working out and an overall improvement in my health. I am stronger than I have ever been and it’s remarkably satisfying to say I can lift proper weights!! John is a tremendous coach - he can make you smile throughout a set of burpees, wall balls and even an assault bike finisher! His enthusiasm for fitness and overall wellbeing is contagious and I look forward to our workouts every week. It’s even more enjoyable now at The Trinity. I cannot recommend John or The Trinity enough - I know anyone who happens across their doorstep is in for an amazing transformation both mentally and physically!

I am not sure I can fully express how transformative the experience has been working with John, Seamus and Aoife as trainers. I have always been someone who tried to stay fit and healthy but my gym work would be unfocused and sporadic and I was easily swayed from going.
In the two years since I began with the Trinity trainers that has all changed. John, Seamus and Aoife don’t put metrics such as scales, reps and weights to the forefront of their training. They are tools they use to help guide my progress - and progress I have. I have completed two Hyrox races, taking 11 minutes off my time in my second race. My weight has stabilized and the consistency in my workouts has never been better. I work out several days a week in a sustainable, manageable, enjoyable way. The gym isn’t a chore any more.
The key message they preach (and this is important) is consistency. They are consistent in their training, evaluation, changing up the training blocks - all the while building a mindset of sustainable, persistent application to training. One of the ways they have succeeded in building this mindset is by bringing together people of wildly different backgrounds, ages, abilities and experience but all having one thing in common - the desire to get one increment better than the day before.
Their group training is probably the most enjoyable aspect of the Trinity Gym experience. From early morning Saturday sessions to groups traveling across America to compete in Hyrox to meeting up for some food, drinks and good company, Trinity has built a gym that is not just outstanding because of it’s equipment (it is that) but in it’s care for its members and that value it places on community. You are paying for gym membership, but you are getting far more than that.

When I started with the trinity a few years ago I had no strength in my upper body, I had lower back pain and struggled to find time to go to the gym. I decided to make me a priority for 2 months by getting a personal trainer and it changed my life. I went on to get rid of back pain. I climbed one of the highest free standing mountains in the world “Mount Kilimanjaro” in 2021 , I ran the New York City Marathon 2023 all because of the solid training I got with these guys. Run don’t walk to this gym. It will change your life for the better.
