I’ve worked with a total of three different trainers at this gym, so far , Zaire has exceeded every expectation. In 5 months, I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in both my strength and confidence while achieving my weight loss goal.

What truly sets him apart is his attention to proper warm-ups and recovery, which has made a huge difference in preventing injuries and improving my performance. He’s also incredibly attentive and has customized every workout to fit my personal goals and physical needs — even working with me through recovery after hand surgery. Every session was thoughtfully adjusted to help me continue progressing safely.

I also really appreciate how thoroughly he explains everything from technique to form, and he always takes the time to make sure I understand the “why” behind each exercise. He never makes me feel rushed or intimidated, creating such a positive and motivating training environment but always keeping it professional.

Beyond training, the gym itself has been a great experience — my two children attend the kids club, and the staff there are always friendly, caring, and attentive. The equipment variety is excellent, and the overall staff are helpful, professional, and genuinely welcoming & more importantly always clean.

I absolutely love your gym! Even if I forget my AirPods or anything to listen to music, it’s never a problem — the music you play is always great and creates such a positive, motivating atmosphere. Unique fitness in Holbrook is the nicest gym I have ever been to. I actually built a nice home gym and used a guess pass to unique fitness to change it up and I had to join.
The equipment is great and they have plenty of it. For example they have 3 dumbbell areas, one light weight, medium and then heavy dumbbells and adjustable benches all over the place. Side note I have yet to see a dumbbell left on the floor or in the wrong position on the rack. They have prime fitness machines, hammer strength , a pit shark belt squat , arsenal strength tons of rouge bars and kettle bells . If you like gym equipment it’s like being a kid in a toy store . The gym is kept clean and the staff at the front desk are nice . I usually go in the morning and it is busy , lots of people but the place is so big it’s not bad. I could see it being really crowded during prime time hours of 5-7. If I could give the gym more then 5 stars I would, couldn’t be happier with my decision to join.

Amazing facility that serves all your fitness and health needs. This place can literally serve as a family outing or even a date for husband and wife !
My husband has been a member since day one at Unique and rightfully so. Over the years he has taken me as a guest and our children to the kids club, all of us were instantly impressed. So last summer, I took our 9-year old son to their five year anniversary event. I not only signed myself up to become a full time member, but also our son, as AJ explained their promotions and programs. Fast forward a little bit, and at least once a week, our family of four spends gym time together at Unique. Our three year old daughter adores the kids club and the wonderful girls who greet her daily by her name. My husband and I get to put ourselves through a dedicated workout, and last but not least…the cherry on top…our nine year old son trains with AJ, utilizing the turf field and all the gym has to offer to get him started on the right path with fitness, sports, mind and body. The gym literally saves us as a married couple, while it almost serves as a date where we can unwind yet have our kids close. Sweating it up in the sauna towards the end never hurts.
AJ has become a friend and our son really looks up to him, as we have started to see him more focused with sports and school.
Being we sign up for training sessions and love their drink bar, merch, Redefine outpost, etc…we are always dealing with their courteous employees/sales reps.
That’s where Alex and Zaire come in. They are beyond awesome and accommodating to anything I’ve needed. They explain the particulars, provide info on promotions, and guide any questions we may have. Honestly, I could name so many employees of this great establishment. From the girls in the kids club, the cleaning staff, front desk personnel, it’s endless.
Would I recommend this gym?…without a doubt. It has almost every angle of fitness covered, and covered well. Like I said, for our family of four, it serves a “unique” purpose for each of us. We really look forward to our time spent here. At the end of the day, that’s all you could really ask for.

At first Unique for someone 60+ is intimidating with all the young beautiful people. However, Alex at the front desk was very reassuring of the diverse demographic at the gym, at a reasonable price, which though I am member for a short time, is true. Also, I hired Bill the trainer to work on stretching and mobility exercises and so far so good. Bill seems to know his stuff. The facility is the cleanest gym I have ever been to, a big plus. Also the spin classes are real good but have not experienced the video while spinning, looking forward to that! All in all this gym appears to be a good option for all physical and wellness needs for all.

I've been a member for about 3 months and here are my primary takeaways.

PROS: Spacious, clean, good hours

CONS: Pricey, Always crowded, The Water fountains could use fresh filters, as the water tastes funky.
Music is obnoxiously loud. Like many other people, I use earbuds to listen to my own music while working out. However, the music is so loud (and bad) at the gym that I can't even hear my own music. I've asked staff on numerous occasions to lower the music, and it was only marginally lowered. The gym would be much better off not playing music, let alone constantly blast it.

At the conclusion of my membership, I will be looking for a less crowded gym, and especially a gym that does not BLAST very poor music.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The daycare is dirt cheap, so it leaves very little excuses for getting to the gym. This is definitely a no judgement zone, so don't preclude yourself from going just because you don't look like most of the people walking in. They have several of every machine you can think of, and their cardio machine section is massive. They have 2 large free weight sections, and at least double of each machine, both plate loaded and standard machines.

My only complaint is they aren't 24 hours, but what can you do.

My Unique Fitness on Vets has every piece of gear on the planet arranged so squads of exercisers can work out, amazing weight area, other sports featured, all the latest, all cleaned seemingly every ten minutes.
The patrons all seem serious and anxious to let you use the equipment with the possible exception if you get there when a younger crowd comes, you get the person doing lots of sets, watching the phone while "guarding the seat". But even then, a "can I work in" gets my single set done and gone.
The classes get high marks and there appear to be "trainers" available. (I have no problems boasting about the place -- there are so many areas, so much gear that even when "crowded" you can still get a great workout!)

Great gym. I have been a member here since the day they opened. Left a filthy gym whose equipment was in constant repair. This place is CLEAN and if a piece of equipment is broken it’s usually for a day! I get there at 4:30 AM and it’s already crowded with the morning crew. Staff is friendly. My only negative comment is that the music is way too loud and at times very odd. I hear it through my headphones and it’s annoying. I often request if they could turn it down some as do some of the other members. Why they need it so loud when 99% of the members wear headphones or ear buds is baffling.

If you are a woman body builder that actually works out don’t go here. The females don’t workout, the males here prefer lazy females and encourage the lazy females to bully the body builder females. I had a female purposely following me around putting her drink and stuff on my machine even though I didn’t know her and asked her to leave me alone. Instead she just continued forcing her presence on me while staff and the men at the gym did nothing but watch. I talk to no one at the gym, I don’t even make eye contact with anyone she went out her way to target me.

I call this gym home and I go 4-5 days a week , mid-day . I love all the equipment, shake bar, staff is great. Now, for the last month, the gym smells like a locker room, I told the staff twice on two visits, so far, no change, still smells. Bathroom is getting a little dingy, needs to be cleaned more often, which they used to clean the bathrooms constantly, now, not so much which is typical of a business getting comfortable making lots of profit and not paying attention or more of a care less attitude figuring: members will come anyway, which is disappointing. Since two years ago, I'd say quality has dropped 20% with these factors, and I'm leaving out the people I've seen Vaping on the gym floor and in the bathroom. Then there was a large muscle head that bullied me off the machine in front of his girlfriend. But, we'll leave the details out.

The only downside is that this gym can get so busy during peak hours, that I would need to wait for a machine for around 30 minutes. I would suggest going during the day and avoiding the night to have shorter wait times for the machines.

I have unlimited good things to say about the gym but wanted to express my gratitude towards the girls who work in the daycare! Always a pleasure and on top of each child no matter the ratio.

Want to specifically shout out Sam who works there. My son who is on the spectrum sometimes gets overwhelmed with the amount of kids and the noise level. I went to get my boy and Sam went above and beyond to ensure my boy was felt safe. I actually never seen my boy gravitate towards a stranger the way he did towards Sam. World needs more people like Sam.

Overall, the gym itself is nice and spacious. The equipment is updated and there is a fair amount of weight machines to go around. My only real complaint is about the music that is played in the entire gym area. I generally go to gym late at night… around 10, but have been there during the day also. It seems like they play more than their share of hip hop/rap music, and play it very loudly. I can easily hear it through my headphones and that is kinda annoying. I brought it to the attention of an employee there but he said they have no control over it. That being said, I understand why most people wear headphones… to listen to their own music and not the music being played in the gym. Conclusion: headphones a must… music genre needs to be more diverse

I have been at this facility for about three months . I used to work out at multiple gyms . Now this is all that I want and has more than what I need. I come from bayshore which is a little bit of a commute but it’s well worth it! I canceled my memberships from other places because the staff especially John and Brianna have both gone above and beyond to make me feel at home here and motivate me coming back to the gym from being in the hospital for a few months. The best overall gym I've ever been a member of.

The only thing I had to take a star off for is the barbells are terrible. They have zero knurling left. They are definitely overdue for a replacement.

Unique is great! The Holbrook location is huge. You’re never sitting around waiting for weights or machines. Always extremely clean! Front desk staff are always very nice and welcoming. Sales rep, John Mcauliff helped me book my membership. He was very helpful, gave me a full tour, and answered all my questions. Gave me a good deal, he was awesome! Another sales rep, Alex was also very friendly and helpful. This gym is great, definitely recommend!

This is an extremely well run gym in every sense of the word. Customer service has repeatedly done the right thing for me as far back as the day they shut down for Covid in March 2020 up until today 2/14/23. Alex Campos in particular has been an incredible ambassador for Unique.

The place is fairly massive. Haven’t had an issue finding a piece of equipment or machine I wanted to use yet. Staff are friendly, and employees are around cleaning up all the time, so it stays pretty clean.

Some of the weights are in disarray sometimes, but that’s because some people at the gym, lifting weights, apparently can’t be bothered to lift the ones they use and put them back where they got them. Maybe there was a flunk-out period for kindergarten that I’ve never been notified of- who knows. Beyond that, great place. Showers and locker rooms are nice. I can only speak for the men’s, they frown upon visiting the other one (I’m assuming, I haven’t tried).

Would be nice if they would upgrade the water fountain to something that worked, say, to get water into a bottle and not just all over the floor, but that may be a marketing ploy to sell more bottled water. Just an observation, not saying it is. Also, would be a good idea to sell towels. You could make up for the money you’d lose in bottled water if you did, and then spring for that functional water fountain (see above). Also, added bonus, I wouldn’t have to use my dirty sock to dry off with at least twice a week, when I’m too tired to remember to pack my gym bag the night before, and show up with no towel/clean socks/underwear. Again, just some ideas to make some extra money to, ya know, go ahead and spring for that fully-functional, non-leaking water filling station…….. great place though, headed there now to get started filling up my water bottle, so I still have time to train too. 😎
