Vira Yoga Collective is such a special place. I practice here multiple times a week, and every class feels meaningful. Each teacher brings their own unique style, and there’s a great variety of classes, whether I’m looking for something challenging or something more restorative. Somehow each class always gives me exactly what I need. Plus, there’s an amazing sense of community that keeps me coming back.

I love this studio!! I’ve taken yoga classes over the years but this is first time I’ve found a studio I was drawn to keep coming back to. Vira has classes for all different levels. The teachers are incredibly inviting and knowledgeable and there is a such a beautiful community here.

I love Chloe’s ignite and unwind and Bec’s soul flow, both classes have a challenging flow and relaxing wind down. This place is genuinely magic!!

I love yoga. I’ve been practicing consistently for a dozen years— if you want the very best of the best teachers… look no further than Vira. These teachers are passionate, knowledgeable, highly skilled, compassionate, welcoming— and have formed a true community, where friendships are made, support is offered & fun is had. I’ve practiced at studios all over Manhattan & Long Island— this is the best one I’ve found & it has become a second home. Everyone is welcomed warmly- there is room for all levels & you will find that you fall in love with all of the classes b/c each one of them has something unique to offer, depending on your mood & how you want to move your body. So much variety- you’ll never get bored! But- you will find PEACE. ✌️

From the moment I walked into this studio, I felt like I had found something truly special. The space is warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed—a true sanctuary from the chaos of everyday life. Every instructor brings not only deep knowledge of yoga but also genuine heart and presence to each class and to each interaction with each student.

What really sets this studio apart is the sense of community it fosters. Whether you’re a total beginner or have practiced for years, you’re met with encouragement, not ego. The classes are the perfect blend of challenge, mindfulness, and restoration. I’ve never felt stronger, more grounded, or more inspired. I have made amazing friends in this amazing place!

The attention to detail—from calming scents and clean mats to the playlists and closing meditations—makes every class feel like a retreat. Supporting this small business has been one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve made for my mental and physical health.

If you’re looking for a yoga home where you’ll be seen, supported, and uplifted—this is the place.

Longtime student so long review incoming—

This space oftentimes feels as if it has its own soul. Most of the time I come into the studio with an imaginary swirling tornado of thought bubbles and the moment I step into the space suddenly the clouds all clear and I am able to laser focus in on the cues and the breath work. One of my favorite moments in classes is when we start with a community Om that sounds disjointed with different pitches but when the finishing Om comes along the sound is more uniformed and connected in pitch. This is a direct result of everyone in the room being guided and supported not only by the teachers but by the people on the mats next to each other. I’ve attended multiple different styles of classes with numerous different teachers and each class is just as unique as the teacher that leads it, yet the soul of the space remains so it all feels familiar. Bec will lead you through a practice that most of the time begins with a dharma talk that at first feels disconnected to yoga yet by the end of the practice feels entirely reflective of yoga. Her playlists include deeply emotional songs and upbeat empowering anthems. Olivia will speak from her heart and then take you through a flow that wrings out all your emotions so that your heart is suddenly open too. Her music is often directly reflective of the talk she gives at the beginning which forces you to connect with the intention she or you sets. Fatima has a divine energy about her that shows through in her warm and intentional flows that are set to enchanting music. Chelsea has one of the most calming energies I’ve ever encountered and brings about peace throughout her entire flow. Kayleen’s super gentle flows will genuinely make you feel like a puddle afterwards and slow your system right down to the atom. Liz cues in a way that makes it especially impossible to think of anything else, she demands your mind’s attention while still being gentle. Joanna is one of the most knowledgeable yoga teachers out there. She is fully aware of every muscle that should be tightened or released in each pose and educates the class without making it feel as if it were just another workout class. Brianna’s classes are filled with “basic” traditional movements that are held for enough breathes to really deepen the pose thus providing a different outlook on the “basic” poses.

You truly cannot go wrong picking any of the classes or any of the teachers because each one will feed your soul exactly what it needs. You’ll never feel judged for picking a different variation of the pose, you’ll feel challenged yet empowered, and you’ll especially feel a deeper connection to your mind and body.

I’m coming up on a year and a half of practicing and working here. It’s become like a second home to me. I love the studio, the teachers, the offerings, and the community. Every class and teacher offers something so different and unique. The students are inspiring, committed, talented, and humble. The studio regularly hosts workshops, fun challenges, and events to keep things exciting. The vibe is relaxed, comfortable, and so so supportive.

If you’re looking for a place to help support your yoga, movement, or mindfulness goals - biggest recommendation for Vira Yoga Collective.

Just took my first ever yoga class here and had a great experience. Felt super welcome, as someone who gets terrified around large groups and in new settings, it is greatly appreciated how nice the instructor was. Ty!

Edit
I have been coming here for 2 months now and my first impression was accurate, this place is awesome, full of knowledgeable and welcoming teachers. Leaving class, I am rewarded with a feeling I don’t get from any other form of exercise. I recommend everyone try out Vira Yoga!

It's the perfect space to deepen your practice and connect with others. I always leave feeling grounded and inspired by the teachers and my fellow students. This is a welcoming, place for all yoga practitioners of every age and of every skill level. It is a place for you mind as well as your body. I love being in the classes ; and because I do not live that close, I love that I can still participate virtually when I need to do that. It's an amazing place!

I love this studio. There is something for everyone with classes for every level and type of practice to choose from. I stick to Foundation classes which are more beginner focused with an emphasis on proper alignment. Beverlee, Brianna and Lindsay are my go to instructors. Bec, the owner, is amazing. So caring, creative and motivating. Like many small businesses, remaining open during the pandemic was no easy feat but Bec has done everything humanly possible to ensure we yogis have a positive experience no matter what is going outside of the studio.
