Maggie is a deeply skilled and compassionate teacher. She took the time to get to know me and my history and then personalized her instruction to support my learning. Her classes are beautifully paced and designed to align breath, movement, flexibility, strength, emotional regulation, and spiritual growth. The studio is spacious and well-equipped and offers a wide variety of classes for all levels at different times of the day. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

I am stronger after 20 days of yoga in one month and I do not recognize myself. I have committed to 3 months and my vague dreams of βone day I will lift weights at the gym β are thankfully dashed. With exquisite honest instruction and words like βbright heartβ and βcool blue mindβ I embrace this process. At 65 I am grateful to experience the intelligent body I was given.

I have been taking classes with Maggie on and off for the past 20 years. Her classes challenge me physically and mentally. The classes blend the philosophy of yoga with Taoism, and Buddhism, and are mixed expertly with Thai Chi, and Qi Gong. The studio is large, bright, and welcoming with large bathrooms and showers. I cannot recommend this place enough for the total vinyasa yoga experience.

I did not understand what Vitality Yoga meant when they said 5 days a week of yoga will change your life. It's not that I did not believe it. It's that I did not understand it until I tried it. Vitality Yoga, Maggie and all of her amazing teachers, have built a yoga studio that is inviting, rigorous, always changing/evolving, and challenging or restorative- depending on the class you have chosen. Regardless of the class you choose, the studio is ALWAYS warm, welcoming and inviting. The sense of community and personal growth you walk away from Vitality Yoga with is not only life changing, it is life affirming. They are amazing. If they had 6 stars they would get it. Can't wait to see you on the mat.

This is a welcoming, warm, enjoyable studio for beginners to advanced yogis. I have been going to Vitality several times a week for years and have only grown more impressed by Maggie's knowledge and talents as a teacher. The studio offers several excellent teachers whose mix of styles at varying times of day means there's always a class I want to attend when I want one, and many of them are available virtually, too. And the studio is quite welcoming to drop-ins and new yogis. In short: a great place to practice and a wonderful yoga community!

Maggie, the owner, is warm and supportive, welcoming all newcomers and long time members alike with a big, open heart. Classes are challenging for experienced yogis and accessible for beginners as well. I especially recommend Maggie, Michael, and Lanaβs classes - truly 3 of the best teachers in the Hudson Valley all in one studio!

I absolutely love Vitality Yoga and Maggieβs classes. I went one time with my wife because she wanted to try yoga (I honestly wasnβt too interested). I have been going back weekly for several years now. It is fantastic for both the mind and the body. It has also helped dramatically when it comes to reducing injuries from my Ironman races.

Maggie Heinzel-Neel is the proprietor of Vitality Yoga and is one of the most popular yogis in the Valley. Maggie is widely recognized as a highly talented teacher who fuses yoga with spiritual lessons and Chinese medicine to support our entire well being. Her classes are dynamic and so beneficial, a healing experience for body, soul and spirit. Every practitioner in the studio follows Maggie's example and also creates his/her own unique experience so that there are a variety of styles for every level and taste.

Such a wonderful feel in this studio, with very knowledgeable teachers. Maggie is a gem. She has a natural ability (due to her sincere love for yoga) to help spark more interest in her students to delve into the vast world of yoga. With a strong focus on energy, and the way yoga can help to cleanse stagnant energy and heal the body, this studio has classes that are suitable for beginners to seasoned yogis. I felt very safe in this studio as it goes above to abide by the current covid standards, and also has all classes available online, too.

I feel that Maggy is such an intuitive teacher...everytime I thought to myself "I could take this further" she transitioned into more and when I was just starting to think "this is enough"...she pulled back. My body feels sore in a good way and my back feels amazing.

Vitality Yoga Flow is exceptional. It's conveniently located in the Plaza of New Paltz with plenty of parking. The teachers are excellent! Buy the water bottle! During our little heat spell here in the Catskills I purposely left the water bottle in the car where temps would get very high. My water stayed cold even after leaving it in the car all day!
I took advantage of the 5 classes for $25 offer and by my last two sessions I was able to go back to back for two classes. Within a week I was stronger! There is an intelligence to what is going on at vitality yoga. The heated classes minimized my soreness and protected me from injury. There is very good medicine there for reducing inflammation and building strong, beautiful skin, muscle and mental clarity! I highly recommend Vitality Yoga.

I was able to learn about different levels of Hatha yoga and meet some very conscious people. They're beginning to feel like my family. So far the postures have been challenging for me, but then, I have been out of shape for too long. I feel the staff can help me achieve my goals, such as strong core, develop muscle tone, strength and stamina. This will support my spiritual practices and give me the ability to meditate well for a long period of time.
Many thanks for being there.

If you are looking for basic yoga to add into your day for nice stretches or inversions, sure, you won't be disappointed. If you are a seeker looking for a mind-expanding, soul wound-healing journey to integrate into your physical practice for a life-changing outcome, then you have found the right place.
The studio is warm & welcoming with great vibes. The community of substantive, good humans is extraordinary. I am also grateful there is a nice locker room to change or shower.
But truly, the classes... I have been doing yoga for 22 years... these classes are next level, next dimension yoga classes. Zen yoga, for example, incorporates Chinese medicine and Daoism into the practice. Each class on the schedule is a journey, a trip... an experience. I walk out of that studio slightly changed each time. The classes which have most impacted me are the ones which have focused on early childhood trauma recovery and healing. I can allow myself to be super vulnerable-- but secure and safe in that space-- and able to receive my own love. With such skillful direction from the instructor (owner Maggie) there is no mystery what every muscle, fiber and limb in my body is supposed to be doing in the moment. And when I submit my body to her every instruction, it frees me to go deeper in my mind. And poses as well!
But there are all different flavors of classes like spa yoga with aroma therapy, acro-fit yoga, temperate Vinyasa flow (a doable 80 degrees as compared to hot yoga's unwieldy 105 degrees), core strengthening and way more. In the 2 short months I have been attending, my strength has increased exponentially; as has my breathing, flexibility and focus. I now breathe into the bottom of my lungs, my back and belly at work, when I am stressed, or simply driving. Who knew lungs had more than 1" of depth?! Not me! What a gift.
I don't know what I did to be so fortunate as to land in this studio at this time in my life, but I am pretty much just grateful to be here.

The studio is convenianelty located near a natural foods store and ample parking. So, easy to get some yummy food after practice. The interior is simple, warm and comfortable. You are always greeted by warm smiles, a spacious studio and clean locker rooms. They can provide mats, towels, boosters, straps and blankets if you don't have your own or a favorite. You can also purchase high quality mats and other essentials for practice. Lots of places to remove and store your belongings as well as a some couches if you arrive early or if you want to catch up with friends after class. I have worked with four instructors and all of them had a gentle approach to the practice. They understand and respect limitations while also encouraging growth. I greatly appreciate the gentle corrections and the assistance in deeper stretches. Classes are attended by people of all ages and abilities. Don't be shy when you arrive and let the instructor know if you are experienced, a novice or if you have a particular goal in mind, they will be glad to help you get the most out of each class.

The classes offer a perfect balance of verbal cues while allowing the class to flow. The studio is welcoming, calming, and clean. There was a positive and supportive vibe from the other students at this studio as well. The room was also heated to a perfect temperature. Very positive experience all around!
