I’ve played at many courses, but I’ve never experienced anything like this. The number of flies—both small and large—was overwhelming, especially around the greens. They were constantly swarming and even getting into every exposed area, making it nearly impossible to focus, let alone putt properly. It was genuinely frustrating and took all the enjoyment out of the round. The course needs to seriously address the bug issue.

Nice course. Staff is nice - but it’s slow on the weekends. 9 holes just took me 2 hrs 28 min and there were 2 groups waiting on the 10th hole with a group on the green and one in the fairway (I left). Go early or mid week for a more enjoyable round- I’ve walked 18 in under 3 hours mid week.

I don’t do a lot of reviews but this is sadly justified.
Sunday afternoon with a terrible pace of play. We could not even play 18 after 5 hours. The course should not have walkers. Reason… too far between holes. People with carts catch up to walkers before they even get to the next tee box. I understand It’s a municipal course. However, awful parrings, fivesoms on top of foursomes followed by multiple twosome groups is totally unacceptable. Seniors picking balls from ponds and woods holding up the pace, makes you wanna puke! Tee boxes are in awful shape. Blind shots on every hole keep you dodging balls all day. The course is run by teenagers that could care less. Don’t expect much from the cart girl or bar at the turn. The potential is there but execution is far from desirable. I would love to see it run properly for the price.

This course is phenomenal for the price.I paid $25 with a cart included for around a 4pm ish tee time. The staff are amazing and so friendly! Special shout-out to Anthony for going above and beyond to make me feel extremely comfortable and welcome at Wallkill Golf Club. The course itself is in good shape and it’s quite pretty. Definitely challenging as some holes are pretty narrow. Not too difficult to hit GIR, however hitting fairways are a challenge. Greens were a bit weird when i played yesterday; very slow. i’d definitely recommend playing at Wallkill Golf Club, and i’ll be back there soon!

A little late to writing this review as I got married in November 2023 but finally got our pictures back from our wedding. Town of Wallkill Golf Club is hands down is an amazing wedding venue. From the spacious bridal suite to the reception area the grounds are kept perfectly clean and beautiful. My wedding was perfect and I wish I could relive it over and over again. Corey is very knowledgeable when it comes to wedding taste/ organization and Jamie was an amazing Maitre d’. There were no hiccups the entire night because these two were perfect. My makeup artist didn’t glue my lash on properly and it was falling off before ceremony time. He ran out to buy lash glue and Jamie fixed it. They are so dedicated and really make you feel so special and loved like family. If I could do it all over again I would choose Town of Wallkill Golf Club. Any event you need I would definitely plan here!! The food is amazing, the spread/ dishes/ tables they set up are honestly the best I’ve seen. People are still raving about my wedding and how it’s the best they’ve been to in awhile!!

She would consistently find us to let us know what is coming next on the timeline, made us plates, and provided us with fresh drinks throughout the evening. My husband and I got married 10/1/22 and had our reception at the Wallkill Golf Club, and if I could I would give it more than 5 stars!! We LOVED our experience. Corey was an amazing coordinator to work with and our maitre de, Jaime, really helped me bring my vision to life. We have received nothing but compliments about the venue from our 175 person guest list. Here are our highlights of using the venue:
1. Only one wedding is held per day and we were able to use the space the entire day even though our ceremony was at a church in town. We had a large gap between our ceremony and the beginning of cocktail hour but my bridal party and I arrived at the venue at approximately 1 pm and hung out on the property and in the bridal suite with as much food and drinks as we wanted. Our reception ended at 10pm but we moved the party to the bar and grill room for another 2 hours. We spent about 12 hours at the venue in total and were completely taken care of the entire time!

2. THE FOOD IS AMAZING! We opted for 2 service stations at cocktail hour and served a salad, pasta, and 5 entree selections for dinner. I can not emphasize enough how delicious everything was. The Chateaubriand was cooked to perfection as was the salmon and chicken. Our guests have not stopped talking about the passed hor devours and the mushroom ravioli pasta.

3. Drink selection was whatever we desired. Some venues are locked into contracts with certain distributors and suppliers. At Wallkill, we simply told Corey the beer and liquor we wanted and expected our guests to drink about a week before the event and he made it happen at no additional cost.

4. Wonderful flexibility and customer service. The people working at the club were so easy going and willing to make my vision come true. As a bride with a million questions, I had my emails answered within 24 hours. I never felt stressed about any decision after having run all the scenarios I could think of past Corey and the staff. Corey was also incredibly helpful with his suggestions of and dealings with other vendors. We ended up hiring a food truck that he suggested for the afterparty after we told him we were considering doing this. He also provided a free round of shuttles for our guests to cocktail hour and at the end of the reception.

Great place also if you are having a wedding reception, or other events. Every time I've been there, the staff were very pleasant. I've never had a disappointing experience. Took part in a tournament and golfed a handful of other times here and had a great time each time. Course is nice and challenging so that you really need to plan out your shots for distance and avoiding hazards. Courses are lined by trees and not houses. Corey and his team go above and beyond in the catering department. My company plans a couple events in NY every year and I will never work with anyone else. Not only is the food delicious but everyone on his team does a fantastic job. I purchased a gift card from here via their website for my father to be sent to him by mail. They never sent the gift card even though they claimed it was sent, but when I checked the tracking it always said in process. My father and his friends had a separate issue with this golf course after my purchase and my father called me and told me to request a refund for the gift card. When I called and requested the refund the person I spoke to stated that they did send the card (still 3 weeks later never received) but that they would cancel it and refund my money. Relatively short course that plays tougher than it looks due to narrow fairways and small greens that are difficult to hold on approach shots. Accuracy is at a premium here, you can easily get blocked out by trees. Course was in pretty good condition yesterday, greens were running quick and rolling nicely. There's still some very soft areas. It's time to put rakes in the bunkers. Good value for the money, tee times are usually available.
