I’m actually horrified at what has happened to this gym. Close to none of the machines are working. I called to cancel and they told me I had to come in person. I said I’m not going back there and would like to cancel over the phone. The employee on the phone LAUGHED at me and said that’s not how we do things. Mind you, the manager has some tone and is extremely rude. He told me to give the place a chance but it is in shambles and I don’t need to pay $50 a month for garbage. He also told me I can go to any other LA fitness but I’m not really liking how La fitness does business and therefore want to cancel all together and go somewhere else. Stop giving people a hard time to cancel their gym memberships to a gym that isn’t even functional. Shame on you.

Can’t believe this place got worse ever since the LA takeover. Half the machines are out of service, all the pins to set the weight on the machines are missing, and it’s always dirty.
To the top it all off, the gym isn’t 24 hours anymore.

This gym feels consistently unclean and has an unpleasant odor—it could definitely use more frequent cleaning and maybe a bottle of Pine-Sol. The only advantage it had was being open 24/7, but now that’s gone. I really hope they consider some upgrades and bring back the 24/7 access.

Probably the worst gym in the area. Half the machines are broken and they don't get fixed for months. Employees don't seem to care, the lobby is always filthy. They replaced paper towels with weird new wipes that don't do anything. For the cost of the membership, I can't expect much. However, I'd expect it to be better than a planet fitness but that doesn't seem to be the case

Disappointed with XSport Fitness in Massapequa
I visited XSport Fitness in Massapequa this morning and had a frustrating experience. My husband and I signed up for a membership together, and at the time, we were told that we could both use the gym freely and independently due to our different schedules. No one ever informed us that my husband had to be present for me to access the gym.
When I arrived today, Greg who claimed he’s the manager told me that I couldn’t use the gym unless my husband was there, which was completely unexpected and inconsistent with what we were originally told. This feels like an unfair policy and quite frankly, like discrimination in the way I was treated.
It’s incredibly disappointing to feel torn down by a place where we pay for a membership. I’m escalating this issue to management and I hope they take steps to correct this, because I no longer feel comfortable or welcomed at this gym.

There is no air conditioning in the group exercise room in Massapequa. They installed 2 portable AC units which do not cool the room at all. It is 86 degrees in the room. We ask consistently when AC will be repaired and everyday it is a different stall tactic. This needs to be remedied ASAP. I’m being charged to workout in terrible unacceptable conditions. Not the way to run a business at all. It is dangerous and extremely unhealthy for members.

I’m in town for work and stopped in for a day pass and spoke with the manager Jason, great guy and he got me all set up with ease. The gym itself was awesome it has a ton of great equipment and couldn’t be happier with my visit. Wish there was a place like this is Philly!

Upon my first experience here, I was taken aback from the poor treatment of others by "Greg". It also stunk like cheese flavored snacks (Better Cheddars, Xtreme Goldfish etc.). On the plus side, there was a jacked D1 athlete there hitting cluster sets and he helped me become motivated to work out. He says the gym feels like home.

Front desk staff is super nice. They help with anything you bring their attention to. Which unfortunately is a lot.
Members of the gym do not respect this gym at all. Dumbbells are left out all over the place, and when they are on the rack, they’re in the wrong spot. Some members have the “lunk” mentality aka they’re allowed to hog the rack doing a certain exercise and give other members a dirty look when they try to get weights out from underneath them. No one should stand over any weight rack because other members need equipment too. Members should not be on more than one machine at a time unless there’s no one else around. Recovery services are great but I go to the hydro massage quite often and the room is left absolutely trashed from overnight. The activation box is always ripped off the wall, garbage is all over the place, sometimes the sink is disgusting. Hopefully these can get fixed soon. It’s a great gym with great potential if the members respected it more than

HALF the equipment here is rather missing the pins or simply broken. The customer service here is terrible. I always had issues with the employees scamming my friends and telling them they can purchase the better membership and change it the next day tried to do that and they refused to do so. Tonight was the last straw when my friend tried to used the guest pass and they completely denied him. We were on our way out and I put back a water bottle I was going to purchase, but then the frail etch-and-sketch haircut desk sitter accused me of stealing. This place is a scam and the employees are trigger happy to make the patrons feel as uncomfortable as possible. Buy a membership if you like seeing your money go to waste and supporting the slobs that work here.

My 18 year old son signed up for a basic package during summer and suspended account upon going back to college. Needless to say account was not suspended and his package was somehow upgraded to total package. His debit card was declined and they called him and claim now that his account was not suspended and only he can cancel not his parents. He is away at college and unable to cancel til spring break. He of course is young and has no paper work trail or email and took your word everything was taken care of. They completely bamboozled him.

PLEASE DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. If i could i would truly give this place a zero star. When i got to the gym the manager named Tevin started off somewhat nice but seemed very disturbed by the fact that he had to work. He made me sit down at a desk to discuss membership plans when I never even asked for information on the membership options.He then started off his conversation on telling me how much he hated being a manager and how the people before me that he was trying to scam were “too broke and they didn’t wanna just pay the money”. As he approached me I then showed him that I had a 7 day free trial but he refused to allow me to use the gym without buying a membership. I asked questions about the gym since at the moment all I wanted to do was just work out. I brought up the fact that if I were to buy this membership would I be allowed to used the basketball court and he even said that he “went against policy” to give me a better deal as in allowing me to spend $20 for a month membership and claimed he would allow me to used the basketball court, pool, etc. Then after i just asked about using the regular gym without the extra options the gym had to offer then he proceeded to say that “he couldn’t trust me and he didn’t have time to watch me and see if i was using the basketball court” i then walked out and after his rude customer service and his forceful attitude he decided to ask where i was going as if he didn’t completely disrespect me!!!Moral of the story do not waste your time at this gym it’s not worth it!

Do not go to this gym at all! I signed up for a free 7 day pass to get a feel of the gym and to see if I liked it. I was never emailed my pass and received a call before coming into the gym, stating to talk to the manager named Tevin when I came inside the establishment. I got to the gym and Tevin proceeded to tell me I need to pay an extra $20 for a day pass or I had to pay $30 for a one month membership even after I showed him that I signed up for a free 7 day trial through their website. This place is a complete scam

DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM. They charge your card whatever they want, whenever they want. Jason lied straight to my face. I got a month membership about 2 weeks ago for $20 to try out the gym. He said I couldn't get a free trial due to me not being from NY? Strange to begin with. Never signed a contract to continue charging my card. I woke up this morning to $55 being taken out of my account. Icing on the cake is that the gym is super outdated. Broken/ old machines and dirty. Find any other gym in this area. Beware when going here everyone.

I went to this gym yesterday with my fiancé who is currently a member and bought a day pass ($20). Had a pleasurable experience here until this morning i noticed I received an email from the gym welcoming me as a member as well as including a signed contract that I apparently signed (i did not sign anything when paying the $20 for the day pass). This is very illegal and I will be going in later today demanding some answers as to why someone else decided to sign a contract in my name. Be careful when going to this gym for a day pass or any sort of pass.

I have cancelled my membership at the end of September and i am STILL being charged a membership fee. I have called the customer service number multiple times on multiple occasions and after waiting over 20 minutes (every time I called) my call was "disconnected". I received the customer service number from a rep who has called in regards to a balance I did not know of because the Massapequa location stated that my cancellation will be handled after I called in September. I am very disappointed at the location and customer service being presented.

I’m a member here I was bringing my guest which he called and asked if he could come a minute after 9pm literally walked in 9 on the dot and the “assistant manager Greg, white dude light brown hair and glasses treated my guest so poorly and disrespectfully. I’m disgusted by his attitude. Meanwhile the actual manager let us in because my guest spoke to him on the phone so he allowed it. The assistant trynna be big tuff guy said no till the end. Mind you I explained we live 25 minutes away.

I'm only giving this 3 stars bc of what it was when I started coming. I purchased a 2yr membership upfront. And I am currently 1 yr in.
As of late, the gym has been allowed to decline.
Multiple machines not working, spa services - the hydro massage - both rooms, not working, locker room dirty, debri everywhere and Multiple toilets out of order. Hot tub broken, pool dirty. Many times cleaning supplies not stocked in the machines area for patrons. Weight scales never work, employees seem to just hang around all day not working. People eating behind the counter, watching phones and conversing, which would be fine, if everything was in order!
I have a whole paid for yr left to my membership and I really want to continue going to this gym, but I may be forced to find a new gym.

Been coming here for years never had a problem with any employees for the most part.Thats until I met Greg and can say any in counter that I have had with him hasn’t been pleasant to work with and to speak too, his attitude is not something that you want to deal with before your workout or after your work out. I loved my week trial at this gym, it's very big the locker rooms are spacious and a great Size to accommodate many guests, love the massage and tanning beds. My one problem is I signed up for a free week trial and at the end of that week my payment failed because I had to switch my new card onto my account, fast forward a few months and I haven't returned to the gym once but i owe $250 for late fees on a free trial? I would love to return to this gym but I will not be because of this.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!! Signed up for their premium membership so I can have my gf join me as a guest, but when we went together two days ago at 11pm, I was told that I can only have a guest join me between 5am-9pm. I normally get out of work at 930-10pm. Nowhere does it say this or was this ever told to me when I signed up, so i basically wasted 40mins driving there and back to my house. So then I call today to try to cancel my membership over the phone, however they tell me I can only cancel in person or call the corporate number. Now what really upsets me is that I drive again to them just to tell them my name and confirm my email address, i didnt have to sing anything or even show my ID, and then I left. I could've saved my time and gas if I had just done that over the phone. They didn't even try to get me to stay or anything, this gym doesnt care about you or anything, they just want to waste your time and take your money. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Be careful when opening your memberships in this gym, you ask for the economic plan and they put you in the most expensive plan and they also include a personal training for 99 dollars even if you don't want it, check your contracts.

i’ve been going to this gym since 2015.. since covid the gym only has been getting worse and worse. It smells disgusting in there always. For the last two months there’s literally ONE working stairmaster. It’s such a joke im canceling my membership for good. I barely even go in there anymore and go with my friends to other gyms. ANY gym on long island is better than this one at this point. Im gonna assume they are going out of business since they won’t bother to fix anything about the place. COMPLETE DUMP.

I have been going to this gym for the past 15 years. I just came back three years after Covid. The staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and made me love going to the gym again. Especially Armando head of trainers and my personal trainer Chloe. Chloe is young but a very good trainer, very dedicated to me and I can tell she really cares about her job and her clients.

I've been a member of this gym for over 10 months and its not too far from my home, which is convenient. I've really enjoyed the classes, especially the Zumba class taught by Susan on Sunday 10:30am and Monday evenings. Susan's energetic teaching style has helped me burn calories while having a great time, and I'd give the class a solid five stars. However, I do have two criticisms. In my opinion, the gym itself could use some upgrades and cleaning, also the front desk staff could be friendlier and more welcoming to members. They come across as dismissive and unfriendly most times.

This is the worst Gym and organization ever, the gym smells like sweat from when you walk in because they are geniuses that put carpets in the gym so it holds the sweat and bacteria from everybody, the bathrooms smell like sewer, and when a price of equipment breaks they are not fixing it, like the steam room and a couple of cable machines, you will have also people vaping inside the gym and when you tell the front desk they will tell what we should do about that.
I wish there is a negative rating.

The place is fine but the management here is not so friendly and respectful. They’re not on top with their scheduling for personal training sessions yet their taking 100 dollars out of my pocket every two weeks. I’ve been going to this gym for a while however today I witnessed something I would expect to see at a NYC subway. Homeless lady in the showers clearnjng all her stuff in cart pully for hours and taking shower blowing nose coughing this is disgusting. Xsport seriously you need to stop this!!! Where is security? I informed the front desk but I’m sure they won’t do anything about it. I’m mortified.

My boyfriend was offered a 30 day pass for $30, considering we weren’t allowed a free one since we had gone to the other location already. We gladly paid the $30, as we did not nor ever agree to sign up for a continuous membership and be charged, yet he was charged not $30, but $55 the next month, after agreeing to just pay $30 for only one month. It is impossible to get corporate on the phone as we are sent to voicemail and they have yet to respond to an email. Horrible, terrible gym. Dirty, smelly, GROSS. Do not give them your card information. Do not pay anything here, SCAMMERS!!!

I was only in town for a week. I took advantage of the 7 day free pass. The Gym has a sauna and steam room, which are hot! They also have a large selection of weights and equipment. If I was local I would join.

I went in with a friend to see if I can get a guest pass because I’m not from the area. The front desk said they don’t do day passes anymore (despite the website having a free 7 day trial) and said the only way I could be at the gym for the day was to get a 30
Dollars for 30 days membership.
When I later received an email contract I am signed up for a full recurring membership. When I called the gym to ensure this does NOT reoccur in charges they said the only way I can cancel is to come into the gym. I am not from the area so this is extremely inconvenient. The customer service is absolutely horrible
Would love to give zero stars - why is it so hard to cancel a membership over the phone or via email? It’s 2022. Absolutely ridiculous

I've been going to this gym for a while, it was a good gym when I signed up like 10 years ago. When they lowered the price and let riff raffs in, it's been sinking and stinking. When you have clients blasting music through home brought speakers that's one thing, when you have the employees doing it, that's another. They have enough equipments but they're old that most are not ever used. The employees are just hanging out at the front instead of walking around on the gym floor and keeping things in order. I've since signed up to another gym, Blink, and will cancel my membership when the contract is over. Unless they start investing in new chest/back/arms/shrugs machines, and additional squat racks as well as cable flies. These are highly used products and there should be plenty of them

Use to be a good place to work out at 5-6 years ago but really has went down the drain the last few years. Machines constantly broken. There no longer 24 hours which was a huge plus. They use to have cleaning crews at night and in the morning. I know for sure the night cleaning people are non existent anymore. The amenities like bathroom pool and jacuzzi need help with there cleaning rotations. They use to give new towels out at the front desk not anymore. Go to push fitness in Melville to see what a clean well run gym looks like and thank me later. They should learn how to re invest into there company.

So, I’ve only gone here a few times. I got a membership to go with a friend of mine. When I was signing up the employee said it was a “$500” sign up fee. He tried making me pay for the most expensive plan and when I asked to see a chart of what plans they have he was very hesitant to give it to me. My friend went over and told him there is no “$500 sign up fee” and that he’s being ridiculous and he just sat there in silence and got extremely nervous. They have been trying to scam me of my money from the start. I had frozen my account but apparently according to the person I spoke on the phone with “I still have to pay for those months and that I wouldn’t be able to cancel until I paid the remaining balance of $115” I told him I’m not paying anything until I speak with the supervisor who continued to be rude throughout the duration of the phone call and would not help me in any way. I finally hung up and called customer service. The woman who I spoke to was lovely. Great customer service. She cleared the remaining balance with ease and canceled my account with zero attitude or hostility. I wish more people like her worked at this gym. I will never be going back to xsports because of there rude customer service and the fact with a quarter of there equipment does not work. The atmosphere is not friendly and do not let them take you of ur money for something you should not pay for.

For the most part, I love it there. Spacious with plenty of equipment. But, there are problems I’ve previously relayed to customer service and the front desk that have not been addressed. The ladies locker room is unhealthily warm and humid. Poor ventilation. I sweat just putting stuff in my locker.
After a workout and shower, that warmth is unbearable. You can NOT dry off and cool down. I am not asthmatic, but, I feel like I’m having trouble breathing as I continue to sweat. I always leave drenched no matter what I do.
I’ve belonged to other gyms for many years; this is NOT my imagination.
The handicapped shower floods the shower floor and part of the locker room; a bit gross! I have to use that shower.
Also, although a long drive, I go here for the great hours; I need that too. I understand cutting the hours a bit a month ago, but, it’s time to resume the schedule.
I’ve had no problems with the front desk, but, late one night, a guy strolled into the locker room, unannounced, to talk to his girlfriend.
I was shocked and scolded him. I don’t know how he got past the front desk; there was a guy sitting there. I did tell him about this right after it happened.
The lighter weights are now locked in an exercise room and I need them for physical therapy. They used to be out on the green strip, but, dishonest members walked off with some; hurting all of us.
PLEASE fix these things and return to the later hours. It was the main selling point for me.
The equipment and size are very good. Though, wear and tear is beginning to show.

These things aside I forgot to mention that the gym is LARGE, decorated nicely, has a nice assortment of sport drinks, work out supplements and some gym clothes.
They also have a steam room in the locker room; I never see this and love it. They are GREAT for aches and pains.
The gym appears to be clean. Someone is usually there cleaning and vacuuming away. Although, a couple of times I wiped water off the locker room floor and the paper towel came up dirty (blackish). Loose the dirty mop; that’ll fix that.
With some fixes, this is a 5 star gym.

I thought something was off when I first showed up and asked for a tour. The dude just made me follow him around, didn't really say anything, and didn't listen to me when I told him what I wanted. He upsold me on a product that I didn't need.
The first day I went, I could barely move around the place. It was packed. I didn't like the experience. I felt a lot of the equipment seemed run down. Nothing felt right.
I went to cancel my membership and the employee gave me a complete attitude. Absolutely rude. He told me "Come back Monday through Friday 9 to 6." I had to work out the manager's name out of him. Unacceptable behavior all around.

Since the changing of hours I have not seen a difference in organization or cleanliness. The majority of 5am openings looks like this. They might as well change the hours back to 24/7 because I along with many others signed up for this gym to go when most others sleep. Please fix this. Pictures have been posted.

The bathrooms can use a bit of cleaning, especially the showers. The machines are pretty old and not well maintained. The weights are all over the place, it's difficult to find dumbbells or anything. They need to hire more staff to help facilitate with putting things into order and clean more often. Overall not bad, but the gym definitely needs a facelift.

I like going to the gym it's a good place to go work out is just that as we all know they just stare to much and they need to upgrade the dumbbells and some machines are broken please fix that as well and it needs to have more selling on old proteins if you know what I mean..... Old proteins in here are dusty they not good anymore I almost died I had to go to my house because of the type of protein I had ....... Please have better front desk employees some of them are sleeping at night time makes it easy for someone to steal anything upfront please fix this....

So I’m currently looking for my home gym & I am blown away by this gym! First time here and I immediately fell in love. Very spacious women’s locker room. They have a pool,jacuzzi m, steam room showers and a sauna! Need I say more? The fitness area is upstairs along with a basketball court and a yoga studio. I enjoyed my workout inside the yoga studio! I didn’t want to leave. Nermeen was very helpful and informed me I have a free 1-1 training that I can use at anytime during my free trial. My free trial is 7 days and this is the longest trial I’ve heard of so far. I felt very welcomed here and at home. They even offer child care not sure what’s going on due to COVID however I did see the childcare area. Can’t wait to workout tomorrow! Thank you X-sport.

I hate this place. It’s right near my home and I’ll drive 30 minutes out of my way to go to another gym. So unprofessional and rude. I can’t STAND coming here. Armando in particular is just nasty. Never ever waste your money here. They haven’t updated their equipment in forever. Everything is old and out of date. The staff is rude. I have nothing nice to say about this gym.

Inspite of everything that happened... I gotta say this gym is my favorite gym. I was blessed to have that "family Affair" vibe from staff ( the embrace ) & as well as members of the gym neighbors n family. In my challenging moments was able to speak to staff & some members and found out i wasn't alone nor did turn away. I always left gym feeling better then when i came, this is my Story.

I have been a member of this gym for years now and I just recently experienced something horrible and I do not recommend this gym to anybody. Found out I got charged throughout COVID-19 and on top of that I went in to cancel finally and they had told me my membership has been cancelled which I found very off considering I was being charged. I went in a second time to cancel and I got manipulated not once but twice into staying with them because I had said I found a different gym (planet fitness) and I was told “that’s even worse”. I can’t get a refund for the faulty charges and they charge a $10 cancellation fee.

After initially speaking with Jared, Ahmed almost talked me out of joining the GYM by pushing services that I was not interested in. It felt like I was at a car dealership. Nonetheless, Jared return to calm my nerves and convince me to join at the level of membership I was comfortable with. I really wanted to like this GYM especially given that Jared and I hit it off so good. He is a real people person. However, the GYM is badly in need of upgrades. A number of the machines are broken and the weights are worn and beat up. Also, there is not much safety protocols. The price is still reasonable though.

I was previously a member of XPORT Fitness and had a pleasant and positive experience. I recently wanted to rejoin but found it a most distasteful experience. In particular it was a manger named AHMED who I spoke to over the phone. He told me it was easy to join over the phone. I did give all my information. The next thing you know 500$$ was taken from my account. I still have not received a refund. I wasn't sure if AHMED was just being dishonest or was trying to procure a greater commission for himself. In either case I have not received a refund, and AHMED has been of little help. I was joining for 19.99 a month. Maybe the gym is hurting for members because of the pandemic. However, AHMED has made a gym that I once thought to pleasant and professional to be of little interest to me. I advise all to be very carful when signing up.
I actually had to get a new bank card because I was not sure what other unauthorized withdrawals would be made from my account
