I have been practicing with Teri for many years, likely two decades, and I continue to learn something new from her in each and every class. She is a gifted teacher that meets her students wherever they are in their practice. I don't know how she does it but each class has something new to deepen you practice across mind, body and spirit. Highly recommend Teri!

I’ve known Teri for 20 years and it’s been so beautiful to see her evolution as a teacher and grow with her as a student. Compassionate and patient, insightful and inspiring, strong and inquisitive, and ever-changing. Teri brings her love of art to yoga class every week by creating thoughtful sequences embedded with a focus on alignment, postural control, strength, coordination, and acceptance of the now. As an occupational therapist, these areas are very important to me personally and professionally. Teri also delivers supportive messages from books, such as “The pocket Pema Chödrön,” to connect to our yoga practices and lives. These readings stay with me after class, developing into my mindset for the next week and beyond. My body and mind have shifted so much since starting yoga 20 years ago when I injured my knee; Teri continues to help me find the mind body connection and balance I need each week.

After a number of years away from yoga, and recovering from a shoulder injury, I was a bit hesitant about joining Teri's class.
Teri is a master teacher. She is patient, pays attention to everyone, and understands how to adapt the poses to one's body. Teri creates a warm, friendly class environment. I highly recommend her practice.

I've been practicing with Teri for years and have learned so much from her. The classes on Sat morning accommodate advanced practitioners as well as beginner yogis: plenty of options to practice at the level your body's at on the day. I've had to work with some injuries/ limitations recently and her warmth and support has meant alot on those days where all I could do was lay on my mat and breathe. I appreciate the small group size and sense of community.

I've made a personal requirement for myself to attended Teri's class regularly. I've always sought her teachings to challenge me physically. Even after 3 years in her class, I'm still learning new ways to enter in and out of poses. Beyond the strength in asana, she has a extraordinarily natural way of weaving in the yogic philosophy which many of us aren't necessarily seeking when we come to practice on our mat, but it certainly keeps me coming back! I highly recommend Teri if you're brand new to yoga, or are a teacher yourself, her class is accessible to all.

Teri is a fabulous teacher and human! I look forward to her Thursday morning classes knowing that I will leave feeling calm and energized. Even though there is a full body flow, each class focuses on opening and strengthening a particular area, which has allowed me to unlearn particular habits and deepen my yoga practice overall. The classes start off easefully and build until you are exploring new areas of strength. Highly recommend for creative sequencing and smart attention to how bodies work!

Teri is an amazing yoga teacher…I feel like I can relax and surrender to her deep knowledge and strength. The choreography flows so effortlessly that I forget about time and feel like I’ve been dancing…even though I’ve actually worked quite hard. Highly recommend!

I would highly recommend Teri’s yoga lessons to anyone! She is exceptionally skilled in making you feel welcomed and comfortable while also encouraging you to dig deeper in your practice.
I’ve been attending Teri’s classes for over two years. I have noticed a significant improvement in my physical and mental strength thanks to Teri’s thoughtfulness. She remembers details about your practice from week to week to help give a personalized experience (no matter the class size)!
Her playlists are a plus too. Can’t recommend enough!!!

I have been a client of PSY for almost two years. I have always felt incredibly welcomed and comfortable at the studio. The teachers are all knowledgeable have their own specialized skills and styles. Teri is a caring studio owner and incredible teacher as well. The transition to online teaching was smooth, and the teachers have all been able to adapt their lessons for Zoom. I can’t wait to be back in class in person; I miss the place.

Not at all what I was expecting today. I’ve been to this yoga center multiple times before and have always been really happy with my experience except for today. I usually take the 11AM basic yoga class with Laura(she isn’t there anymore) so I decided to give the new instructor a try. I noticed right away that I was having a hard time trying to flow with the class and find a flow of my breath. Then I realized that the music she was playing was very distracting. The music she was playing actually had lyrics to it. So whenever the person was singing, it would go over what the instructor was saying so I could never hear her. The music she was playing also was pretty upbeat. More upbeat than music for a yoga class should be if you ask me. She told us that she’s been really into 80’s music that week and that’s what she was playing. Over all I didn’t feel like I benefited from that class at all and I feel like I wasted money and time. It’s a shame though because the instructor was really nice. But when I sign up for a yoga class, I want to feel like I’m in a yoga class

I use ClassPass to visit this gym and have had very positive experiences. There are lots of different instructors so you might have to come a few times to find the teachers you like, since they all have different styles. I love Naomi and Rosie's classes. Their Strong Vinyasa classes are inspired.

Their pricing is amazing and I ADORE the instructors here - they have some of the kindest, most knowledgeable teachers I've ever learned from. I do wish the studio was better kept, the space itself is beautiful but a lot of the equipment/props are old and not cleaned very well.

I have been going to this studio since I was a child. Since then, I have taken classes in various places in NYC and nothing compares to the integrity, care and professionalism of the teachers here. The atmosphere is intimate, cosy and welcoming. On top of that, it is a business run and owned by women of color. I recommend this studio to everyone -- regardless of level of experience in yoga. Each teacher has a unique style so I would suggest going to a couple of different classes to get a taste of the variety. So grateful to have PSYC in the neighborhood!

You can always count on Park Slope Yoga Center on a stormy day or any holidays. This studio is always ALWAYS OPEN. I can always turn to PSYC for a flow to find my sanity after a long day! Great teachers, lots of classes offered through out the day/week and weekends!!! Also, best class-package deal in town! One year expiration date? Unheard of! This place is my sanctuary!

I can't say enough great things at Park Slope Yoga Center. The instructors are truly masterful. They also take time to learn your name and ask how you're doing.
Classes are challenging (both mentally and physically) and never boring. The studio has a community vibe. Thanks PS Yoga - you've helped me in so many ways!

How can one talk about zen, when you feel completely screwed when you cannot use your Groupon promotion for $49 for 10 classes, since before buying a Groupon I went to one introductory class. It feels absolutely cheap, a commercial organization that suggests that you spend $150 for 10 classes, when Groupon promotion give you the same 10 classes for $49. How can reconcile this?

Great studio, took a Pilates and vinyasa class. Preferred the vinyasa but both very good. Clearly lasted for a reason. Big space. Talented instructors.

I moved to park slope and was spoiled by my yoga studio in the city. I have been practicing yoga intensely for 5 years and every class that I have taken there, I have learned something new about alignment, and have been challenged in both a mental and physical way. I have my 4 favorite teacher for very different reasons--micro attention to alignment, a lot of inversions and balancing practice, a spiritual calmness that reminds me to be calm, and a teacher who taps into all of the aforementioned qualities. I consider myself a yoga snob and I feel like I have found my new yoga home.
