I'm so glad I've joined Anytime Fitness at this location! Over the last few months, it's become my go-to for stress relief and building confidence in strength and discipline. The gym has everything (and more) that I need + it's always clean/tidy. I've started to venture towards other types of workouts, as I feel more comfortable doing so here than I do at other gyms - no pressure, a friendly atmosphere, and good people all around. The staff is great, and Lance has especially been helpful in answering all of my questions and welcoming me to the gym. I almost don't want to post this review in case more people end up joining (it's never too busy or hectic in there), but they deserve 5+ stars!

I was very excited to start at this new gym Since it had all the basic equipment for okay workout. When signing up I spoke to the staff and mentioned that sometimes I would bring my sister and they specified that would be five dollars I said great. Never during that interaction did they explained that if it was after staff hours, it would be a $50 charge because guests aren’t allowed. I got my membership back in October 2025 and I will be canceling in November 2025 because never was it mentioned that it would be a $50 charge verbally when I mentioned bringing a guest (after hours). I asked them to waive it, and Lance claimed that he wasn’t able to do so there’s no room for error in this gym. Sign up at this gym at your own risk. This experience definitely left me a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be recommending anyone to come here and if they ask why, I will tell them my experience. I would also like to add that never during the sign-up process did Lance Butler The manager that claims that owns a business specified that if I were to go and bring a guest after 7 PM I would be charged with a $50 fine. Whenever I spoke to him about this, he had the worst attitude and felt very entitled not once he apologize. I have tried to communicate with David Naze The owner on the website but have not received an email back from him. Don’t waste your time Sometimes it’s worth it driving further to a gym that doesn’t tax people for inconveniences like these.

I set up an appointment to join this gym almost a week in advance . I get there on the day of & nobody is there to answer there to answer the door or anything I waited for 15 minutes, nobody came to the door & checked , nobody called , emailed , anything, I also called the landline to the gym 4 times just to hear a voicemail message in every instance . I would highly recommend that if the company insists on doing a tour on the initial registration that they have the people in place so people aren’t outside in the cold waiting . it’s a horrible look . Even had some guy with a company branded shirt just look at me through the window , didn’t ask what was going on or anything like that . Absolutely horrible first impressions .

This gym is a surprising delight. To be honest i had my doubts walking in as it has an unusual layout but that turned out to be one of its biggest strengths.

While not the largest gym, it has ample amount of weights and machines that offer pretty much anything you may want.

Laid out around the multipurpose area, instead of discordant vibes, the gyms layout gives off a sense of synergy.

Couple that with the great maintenance of the equipment and cleanliness of the place overall this is a pretty awesome gym. Bathroom is also spacious and clean.

And I didn't even get to the hack squat machine which makes this Anytime a 5 start gym ten times over. Plus a punching bag, both of which are personal favorite of mine. You get a giant tire and a sledgehammer in here and you're straight spoiling your members. But I digress.

If there is any negative to being up it would be that janky weird calf machine. It seems so out of place with everything else that's works so smooth. I couldn't even work out on it, felt like the thing was about to crumble beneath me.

But really, such a small matter doesn't take away from how great this gym is.

We enrolled my husband in a membership and right out the gate they got the billing wrong & charged us $30 in fees for their mistake.

I called in to customer service to get things straightened out, and we were promised a refund 3 weeks ago and that has not happened. So we are given the phone# for the 3rd party billing processor, still trying to get our money back.

After talking with customer service, my key fob no longer works. So I go in person to get it fixed, and they tell me I need to pay $20 for a new one.

Together, the 2 of us spend $1100 per year to workout at AF, and they can't give us a little purple piece of pastic to get into the gym. I didn't lose it, it's right here, it stopped working. Are the margins really that tight? C'mon.

If you go to this one, by Walmart, the staff talks down on the location over by Food Lion. If you go to the one beside Food Lion, the staff talks down on the people over here at this location.

It's just sophomoric and dumb.

Just finished my workout and on my way back to the hotel. I had to make sure to add a 5 Star review to this Anytime Fitness. The atmosphere - Color schemes updated, Updated equipment, low key but productive.
- Turf area for functional training and mobility
- More equipment than machines, but machines are all up to date.
- they even have attachments and multiple options and tools to help with form or deeper range of motion. Bravo 👏 to this Anytime owner.
* Only knock I would have is cleaning off the spit and sweat from some of the mirrors, emptying the bathroom garbage, etc. it was early in the morning and crew was actively getting this done. Good job everyone at this gym. Now, time for my job interview, which is why I’m in Durham in the first place.

Couldn't recommend this place enough!I visited from out of town and decided to try out Anytime Fitness. The place is well maintained and clean. You can tell Lance really cares about the gym and the people that come in here. Would definitely be joining this spot if I lived in the Durham area.

I have been a member for over a year and just love my visits. The gym is conveniently open 24/7 and access is via Fob or phone for safety. Super clean and comfortable facility to work out.
The coaches professionalism and passion for what they do is second to none.
The Coaches, Lance and Gabrielle, are just two awesome people to work with. They really care that you get a great workout based on individual abilities.
The small group sessions are always challenging and motivating and free two days per week.
The coaches are flexible with hours and days for training.
Lance also manages members account , efficiently and answers all the thousands of questions.

I believe this is probably the best gym here in Durham! I love the variety of equipment for any of your workout needs. I’ve been frequently visit this gym since December last year and I must say I love my experience every time! The staff here are very nice and I’m always happy to see them every time I come! Overall, I highly recommend this gym to anyone!

Started going here with back problems while I was going to physical therapy. David is my trainer and I’ve trained with Dustin. Both are great. . Under David’s coaching, I have learned to get up and get down without tipping over. My balance is good and I am stronger every day. I feel amazing. Anytime fitness is wonderful and worth every dime.

Wonderful quiet and clean gym with squat racks/deadlift platform, benches, Smith rack. Missing a few machines like hip ad/adductor and lying leg curl but the gym is brand spanking new and the owner is working on getting new things added.
