At Blue Ridge Fitness, we train using high-intensity, short-interval functional movements. Our routines are constantly varied and always challenging. The routines can be scaled since we know your needs and that of an elite athlete differ only in intensity, not kind. We are excited to be a part of the Cross Training movement, aiming to build a broad, general and inclusive fitness. We are extremely proud to have been serving the Asheville/Hendersonville, NC area for over seven years now. With top level Coaches and Personal Trainers on our staff, we are well-equipped to safely and effectively get you where you want to be. I just wanted to express what a fantastic experience I had at Blue Ridge CrossFit while I was in town for work these past few days. I decided to drop in and was so impressed by how welcoming everyone was, especially Coach Tom.
Tom was incredibly personable and kind, and I really appreciated his guidance and feedback on my form. The entire community went above and beyond to introduce themselves and made me feel like I belonged.
If you are looking for a new gym in the area, Blue Ridge CrossFit will be recommendation! I would certainly join if I were local. I will absolutely be back the next time I'm in town.

Great place to get in a workout! I was in town for work and stopped in. Tom throughly went thru the main lift to make sure everyone's form was correct. Beginner friendly and sure to get those gains in here 💪

Highly recommend Coach Tom and Blue Ridge Crossfit. Everyone I met here is friendly. I love that the workouts start on time, and I learn so much in every class! What you can accomplish in one hour here is incredible. I also like the app, which allows all athletes/members to track their progress and also gives the option to follow the programming at home in case you can't get to the gym that day. Great location too!

I love this gym. When you think of it, I'm not a typical Crossfit body person, but what I am able to do, I do; things I need to modify, I do. Not once has anyone ever made me feel bad about the things I couldn't. The atmosphere is amazing, the people who come here are incredible, and the coaching from Tom is unmatched.

I've known Tommy since childhood and can tell you, as someone who trains and loves Crossfit, that he is a top notch coach and so is his gym. It has such a great vibe with everyone who trains there and you leave feeling great!
I had recently had a shoulder and pec muscle injury back in December that required surgery and sidelined me for 6 months, as I had to go through physical therapy. When I was cleared by my doctor in June to start working out again, my shoulder and pec muscle was very weak.
Tommy put me on a program that I call "Rehab Crossfit" to slowly get my strength back. Now I am almost at about 80-90% strength. In about 2 or 3 months, I should be at 100%.
So whether you are experienced, new, or have a situation like me where you get injured, Blue Ridge Crossfit is the place for Crossfit Training! There's no one better than Tommy that is more knowledgeable and best at what he does!

I’ve been a member since May of 2021. This community is sweet and important to my family. I continue to attend for my mental health, physical fitness, and community. I love the accountability and the camaraderie. Coach Tom, the owner, has a huge heart for all of his people, and he’s an expert of the craft. His programming WILL get you STRONG and more FIT. He sets a high bar for outcomes and the quality he trains and expects from other coaches. Coach Dave, long time member and coach bas been a huge encouragement to my family and continues to inspire me.
ADVICE: Show up, humble yourself, follow the programming, keep showing up, humble yourself some more by training smarter, and RESULTS WILL COME. #ONEtribe

Blue Ridge has been a huge blessing to our family! Tom does a stand out job programming and coaching in a way that anyone can learn and have success in their workout without being overwhelmed. He helped me modify movements so I could workout through my entire pregnancy and get back in the gym as quickly as possible postpartum. THIS PLACE ROCKS!!! I cannot recommend Blue Ridge CrossFit (BRCF) enough! Long review incoming. I used to travel a lot for my job and have dropped into MANY CrossFit gyms across the US and BRCF is BY FAR the best one I've ever been to! When my wife and I moved to Asheville, we were really stressed about finding a new CrossFit gym. BRCF was the first and only gym we tried as we fell in love after our first visit. We asked a lot of questions and veteran, coach and owner Tom Tomlo happily answered all of them. Everything here is great - the coaches in training, veteran owner coach Tom Tomlo, equipment, facility, members and programming! The programming is some of the best I've ever done! In the past I have done various types like Frowning, Fraser, custom and Tom's/ BRCF is the best! Tom Tomlo has quite the resume and has been doing this for a long time and it shows in the programming he writes. My wife and I have been coming for 4 months and have seen significant results and are doing movements we could never do before and hitting PRs we never thought we could. If you show up with a positive attitude, put the work in and are consistent each week, you will see results here! Tom Tomlo is one of the few owners that actually practices what he preaches and what's even more impressive is the training he himself does EVERYDAY! In addition to the programming he writes and his own training, he does 100 pullups, 200 pushups and 300 air squats EVERYDAY and has been for the last 4 years! Now THAT is impressive! Tom is also an amazing selfless human being. Always looking out for what's best for his members and goes out of his way to check-in on people and to make new members feel at home! He always talks about good habits - nutrition, healthy habits, lots of water and rest! What I also respect about Tom is he doesn't tolerate BS and tells it like it is. Another thing I love about this gym is they don't tolerate people being late. If you show up late, there is a burpee penalty and rightfully so! I really cannot say anything bad about this CrossFit gym or Tom Tomlo. If you've read this whole review and are reading this, I challenge you to drop in here and give it a try. If you have a positive attitude, work hard, want to get in shape and surround yourself with like minded people, this is the place for you!

This place was awesome! So much equipment, such friendly and welcoming members, and a fantastic coach in Coach Tom. Workout was a lower intensity for the day but that’s ok because CF is constantly varied. I was a drop in because I was passing through but I’d 100% go there again if I was in town. If you are looking for a gym and live in the Asheville area, go and check them out!

My husband and I dropped in here while visiting family in the Asheville area over the Thanksgiving holiday. Very friendly community and we were welcomed like we were members. Tom leads a great gym, supportive of all levels of fitness, and you can tell that the members truly enjoy working out there. We will be back when we’re in town again!

So happy I’ve found this gym, after the pandemic I felt it was necessary to return to the gym. The toxic culture of regular gyms was not where i wanted to return. So i tried 3 different CrossFit gyms, I went to blue ridge first and was completely amazed at the community of incredible people I’ve met, how encouraging they were and how determined they were about helping me reach my goals and return to fitness. I knew immediately this was the gym I wanted to be a part of, nonetheless i gave the other two a shot and it was nothing compared to the motivation, support at Blue ridge, it was transactional where blue ridge encouraged me to come back and make sure this was the right fit for me. It has been 5 months and i couldn’t be happier to be part of the Blue Ridge CrossFit family! Thank you Tom for being such a wonderful coach that leads with his heart and soul!! Also my dog has become part of the family and it’s her favorite place to be! #onetribe

I’m an over the road 18 wheel truck driver. I had the pleasure of stopping in there the other night while I had a delivery the next morning. I asked if I could use the gym for the night and I was warmly excepted into their wonderful Gym
I witnessed a diverse group of individuals going through a CrossFit class. The instructors motto was “Do it light and do it right.” All his instructions were super clear, he was able to demonstrate all the skills and make sure everybody understood what was expected. He then made sure that all exercises were scaled to each person’s skill level and fitness level.
What a great place and I would highly recommend it.
While I’m on the road I frequently try to hit a gym and get a workout in. I hope I get in this area again sometime in the future as I will definitely return back to this gym. Thank you again to the gang at blue Ridge CrossFit

BRCF is more than a gym, it's a place to call home. My first time visiting they were holding a free community WOD and Barbecue for anyone to come. Since then and all these years later I've come to see what makes this place so special.
When it comes to coaching, training and programing you won't find better. And as important as that is, especially to me (an ex college and professional athlete) the welcoming, supportive, encouraging family environment is what separates them from the rest.
If you're new to crossfit or an old veteran, don't worry. The workouts are infinitely scalable and perfect (challenging) for all skill levels. Emphasis is placed on proper movement patterns above leaderboard numbers/times/scores. Because they understand being safe and doing things right is the keys to being successful, reaching max growth and having longevity.
I've visited many gyms in my day and I'm proud to call Blue Ridge "My Tribe"... If you're considering dropping in for a visit, don't hesitate to do so. I promise you won't regret it, might end up considering it home too ;)

The owner, coaches and programming at Blue Ridge CrossFit priceless features here. You just can’t find all of these in one place anywhere else. The coaching focuses on weaknesses, scalability, and progress moving forward. My husband and I have a full CrossFit gym in our home, so paying for a membership here is OUR choice because it so worth it!
