My home away from home for the last ten years or so. An enduringly supportive community to make friends and get swole.

Really great CrossFit gym and community. I had taken a break due to some burn out and had left another gym.
I had started coaching in 2011/12, and have traveled to tons of gyms.
Bull City was extremely welcoming and got me back into coaching. Class schedule is all across the week, and 24 hr access and equipment offerings are great. Facility is large enough without feeling cavernous. Gym features multiple showers and additional space for extra work and personal training.
Coaches offer a variety of scales and substitutions. Egos are non existent.
Additional offerings like bodybuilding focused work and Olympic weightlifting team really help.
Thank you BCCF for allowing me to enjoy CrossFit and coaching once again.

I'm over 40 and have been a decently consistent runner, but not supreme athlete by any means. I had hit a wall at the gym and wanted to have a more varied, weight training routine. I had considered Cross Fit for a long time but never had the courage to do it. I am so glad I did, and I'm certain the welcoming community and wonderful teachers at Bull City Cross fit are the reason I've been coming consistently for 6 months! My schedule doesn't get me here as much as I'd like, but that just highlights what a great environment they offer. As much or as little time you have, and flexible membership options makes it the perfect fit for me!

Bull City CrossFit is a wonderful gym. Lots of class time options, very knowledgeable and friendly coaches that are great at meeting you where you are at on your CrossFit journey.
The community feel is unlike any other gym I have ever been part of. This is a gym that will challenge you, but also make you crave working out.

Love this gym! Extremely knowledgeable coaches, variable programming, and classes every day of the week on top of having 24/7 access. Not only get a great workout but also get to meet a lot of great people.

This gym is a gem. The coaching staff is friendly, engaging, knowledgeable, and encouraging. The community is a great mix of people at varying stages of life, I've met new moms, young working adults, and students all in the same class.
I will say that compared to other CrossFit gyms I've tried in New York, Seattle, and Hawaii, this gym in particular does a great job with its regularly scheduled classes. The programming is always on point and the scaling is always clearly written on the board. I would like to make note that no one is engaging with you to push yourself in a way that might invite injury -- which is very important to me. Their guidance and support is always towards proper form, safety, and growth.
With regards to the community, this box has a great number of individuals who are competition ready. It really is a place for beginners up through competition level training. The base classes are perfect new comers and intermediate level fitness.
If you're looking to push yourself above and beyond that, the coaches very clearly have plenty of experience with making that happen.
The main room can support a surprising number of people without encroaching on another persons space. I've been to a lot of the Saturday partner work outs, and it has been a lot of fun meeting other people during those sessions. It's always hard meeting new people when you move into a new city, which for me was this past August, and I can't emphasize enough how happy I was to stumble upon this gym.
If you are interested in investing in your physical fitness, engaging with a warm welcoming community, and or just want to have people support you while you move heavy objects, take a class at the gym and don't be afraid to introduce yourself.
Cheers!

I absolutely LOVE coming to BCCF. I started here about 18 months ago, VERY nervous about restarting CrossFit after taking six years off and having two babies during that time. I had a personalized onboarding program that helped me ease back into things at my own pace, which was amazing. I love the mix of programming options, between the barbell classes (which have been incredibly helpful to assist with form and technique with the Olympic lifts) and the CrossFit PRVN workouts and endurance classes. I’ve gotten so much stronger since coming to BCCF, and the welcoming and supportive community + wonderful coaches keep me coming back every week. The 24 hour access is great for weeks when my schedule doesn’t allow me to attend a workout. BCCF has been a huge part of my fitness journey this past year and I’m grateful for it!

Bull City CrossFit is awesome. The coaches are great, and there are classes offered at many times to fit your schedule. You also can access the gym 24/7. I mostly participate in the barbell program! Ive become so much stronger & more capable at both lifts. I’d say it’s great for both newbies and experienced lifters; some people join the barbell classes to learn or improve their Snatch & Clean&Jerk while others train to compete in local meets.

SEVEN Reasons I Think This Is The Best CrossFit Gym in the Triangle. HANDS DOWN:
1. Best Price for Unlimited classes AND 24 hour access AND 24 hour access is included in price. Many gyms don't have 24 hr access. Other gyms add extra expense for it. Plus - it's still the cheapest Gym for unlimited classes alone! Win-win - win.
2. 24 hour access! I can't stress enough how helpful this is for getting workouts in when you don't have the time to make a class. There have been so many times when I would have just not exercised had I not had the 24 hour access. Plus if you want to grow and develop a skill further out of class schedule BOOM full gym to do so.
3. Barbell Class. 3 times a week. Full programming. But that's not all. That's point 1. Point 2 is that it's taught by a current North American Olympic lifting champion. Some gyms have a barbell class but not all do! And to have expert coaching as a part of it is a huge benefit - and completely free.
4. Every class is incorporated into the Beyond The Whiteboard app! In and of itself it is $8 per month otherwise! (See point 1 and now add $8 of free value). This might seem like a small item but it's actually a big plus because the app is definitely one of the highest level fitness tracking apps. It provides far more workout analytics, functional details, lift PR tracking, in-depth aspects, etc than any other app on the market.
5. Longevity classes. This is a great idea that I have not seen in any other gym. It's a class for older clients and includes stretching and more mindful dynamics, but all of the strength development skills that come from functional fitness. Plus no one is allowed to drop a barbell in the background so it's kept mindful of noise as well!
6. Endurance classes. Classes focused on different fitness development goals that sometimes can include lower weight higher volume barbell movements or movements of every kind. This is a huge plus to offset focused periods of strength development, or for those more fearful of injury under heavier weights.
7. PRVM Programming. OK a number of gyms might follow PRVN, but in all of the programming I have personally participated in I feel like it is the most evolved and in depth for growing your fitness and CrossFit path.
Side points - an additional website for class sign up, additional weekend programming, full side room for during class work, PT provider on site for additional needs (for a cost), nutritional coaching available (for a cost), personal training available, periodic in house Olympic lifting competitions, and over all and in all HUGE ENCOURAGING COMMUNITY.
(Not to mention it's appropriately in a grungy ugly strip mall which has zero curbside appeal, as you would want any true Crossfit Gym to be!)

This box has the best onboarding package for newcomers that I've seen. The owner of the box was incredibly helpful getting me started and answering any questions.
I'm beginner-intermediate in my fitness journey. There was always a scaled option for me to challenge me but not leave me in the dust or injured, which I really appreciate.
That being said, there are quite a bit of high achievers as well, so I'm sure there is a competitive aspect if that is what you are looking for.

From the moment I stepped into Bull City CrossFit, I knew this place was special. The coaches here are exceptional, blending expertise with genuine care for each member. They’re not just trainers; they’re mentors who inspire and motivate.
The workouts are a perfect mix of challenging and rewarding. Tailored to all fitness levels, they push you to surpass your limits while ensuring safety and proper technique. The variety keeps things fresh and exciting, and I’ve seen significant improvements in my strength and endurance.
The community events are the cherry on top. They create a sense of camaraderie and fun, making fitness a joy rather than a chore. These events showcase the gym’s commitment to building a supportive and inclusive community.
In summary, Bull City CrossFit isn’t just a gym, it’s a transformative experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their fitness in a welcoming and motivating environment. 5 stars all the way!

I have been coming to Bull City CrossFit for the last 4 months and I have been extremely impressed. The coaches are very good at helping you grow, but they don’t push you beyond your limits. They give great tips, help you work around injuries and provide scaled workouts for all fitness levels. I have been to 4 other CrossFit gyms over the years and this is the my favorite one! I suggest giving them a try - even if CrossFit is outside of your comfort zone. It’s a very accommodating gym with excellent coaches that help you reach your goals!

Very unfriendly. I poked my head In to try and speak with someone about joining. I quickly changed my mind and left after the incredibly awkward stare downs I was getting.
In the parking lot a big guy walked out and literally said I should leave or he would “ kick my chest in” I should have called the authorities. Just beware of this place
Happy to provide specific details of this encounter, it was quite troubling
Edit after owner reply: you would say that never happened? Well I’m sorry to say that is absolutely happened. And it’s a shame this is your response to a direct threat from one of your members to a potential one. Would you like me to provide details of exactly who did this to me? Or do you think denying this happening at your establishment is the best way to go?
Never said “fight” he said “ I’ll kick your chest in”

10 stars! I can’t say enough about Jack Wiggen and Bull City Strong. I love this place! I’ve been in the fitness industry and a personal trainer for over 7 years now and reached out to Jack for help in preparing for the Granite Games Competition. I needed to learn Olympic lifts and CrossFit specific gymnastic skills I’d never done before. l started training with him 2x/week and never looked back. The competition couldn’t happen because of covid19, but I had made so many gains I didn’t wanna stop. I’m stronger than I’ve ever been. I’ve accomplished things I never dreamed I could and I owe it all to them. Jack is a very smart and effective trainerwho goes above and beyond. He’s encouraging and motivating, and built an amazing community. I’ve also taken classes with Cornelius White who is great! The Saturday partner classes are my fave. Never did I think I would get into CrossFit and because of Bull City I don’t wanna ever leave. Needless to say I highly recommend this place, don’t look anywhere else!

Great gym! I have only done the bootcamp class so far but it was great! The coach, Jamie, was very helpful when I needed a modification for the workout. I talked to Jack prior to coming in and he was very informative and helpful. It's not cheap so be prepared to spend some money for the monthly membership but if you can afford it I say go for it!

I just completed a six week challenge with bullcity crossfit this past Saturday! This was a great experience and I will continue to go to bullcity CrossFit until I reach my ultimate weight loss goal. With the support and accountability of Devin Hall, 3 workouts a week, and a nutrition plan I was able to lose 10 pounds and 6% body fat. For me the best part of bullcity crossfit is having accountability throughout the process and guided/supervised workouts. Devin Hall has been a great accountability coach and nutritionist. When she leads workouts she also does them with them group which is also motivating. On my own I just don’t think I was completing great workouts for weight loss. If you’re considering investing in this program and/or gym, you will not be disappointed. It’s also nice to workout with a community of people who are friendly, committed, & focused on physical fitness.

Not much to add that hasn't been said in the reviews already. There's a reason everyone gives them high ratings. The staff is great and very welcoming and encouraging at all skill levels. You can even bring your dogs and kids (seriously, there are babies all over the place these days). If I had one complaint, it'd be that Tara's WODs seemed designed to punish old farts like me :-) .

Loved this place. I was new and uncertain about CF when I joined, but Jack and his crew were all excellent coaches and very welcoming. Highly recommended for beginners in particular - big emphasis on form. Each workout started with everyone working through the positions together and getting individual pointers from the coaches, before loading up weights and reps. Strong community, too - all ages, stages of life working out side by side. I only stopped going after 15 months because I moved out of state.

Great box! All the necessary stuff... no fluff. Jack is an EXCELLENT coach! GREAT at teaching technique, leading WODs, making everybody feel "paid attention to" and just generally making you feel good about your workout! Always leave feeling like I want to come back sooner rather than later.
Been coming here since August 2014. Feeling great and getting stronger and more confident in my skills, lifts, endurance and all around fitness level. Great place for men/women of any age (i'm 49).
I've met some of the most wonderful folks at BCCF! I've made new friends and the community feel at BCCF is just the best!

I have spent the summer participating in Bull City CrossFit classes. My true love is running, but even a runner has to do some cross training. Jack has done an incredible job creating a very approachable gym. I've been bringing my running buddies through one at a time all summer long and he hasn't broken any of them yet. He is very conscientious about making sure everyone in the room is using good form. He circulates throughout the workout to check in with everyone and gives sound advice about what you can do to improve what you are doing. He never suggests weights that I can't handle and no one in the gym is egging me on to do more. Everyone there has been really supportive and encouraging. I'm definitely stronger than I was when I showed up for the first class. I also appreciate the variety of class times that are available. I've seen other Crossfit "BOXES" around the area and by far this one seems to be the best. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking to give Crossfit a try.

I am a newcomer to CrossFit and have loved it so far - namely due to the great atmosphere at Bull City CrossFit. The owner Jack does a great job of motivating everyone no matter what their fitness level is. I feel challenged to push myself a bit more each week. I've heard stories from colleagues about visiting CrossFit gyms in their respective areas and not feeling up to par or comfortable among the hardcore athletes in the room. While a lot of clients at Bull City tend to be athletes or in training for a sports activity, I have never felt out of place. The culture Jack has built is one that is inclusive and supportive. This is why I keep going back!

I've had an amazing experience at Bull City CrossFit.
I had no idea what I was getting into, but the moment I walked in people were very friendly and encouraging. Jack is a great trainer, and he breaks down everything for the novice, and gives insightful tips for the advanced athlete. Every time I come in I learn something about the exercise and relevant muscle groups, why we do what we do, and I have fun. Jack challenges every person to push themselves, no matter what level you come in.
