Burn Boot Camp in North Durham, NC features a constantly-changing mix of cardio, HIIT, and strength training so you never get the same workout twice. Our Members enjoy access to unlimited 45-minute workouts produced by top Trainers, designed to engage your full body and deliver complete body change. Each workout takes place on our signature Floating Floor that helps produce results for every fitness level. As a gym designed for busy lifestyles, we offer free Childwatch at every location, personal meetings with trainers, and a universal membership that allows our Members to visit any gym without drop-in fees. All you do is show up and do your best. There is a modify up or modify down, so everyone can participate at their own level. Definitely give Burn North Durham a try! I've been a member for 5 years and love this gym. Super-friendly, super-organized/well-managed, great emphasis on form, safety, and modification for all levels. Lots of gym options in the area, and I've tried a bunch, but since joining Burn in 2018, I've never considered switching because this is the best workout.

From my very first day all of the trainers and staff made me feel welcome. I was nervous as a gym newbie, but Jo did a great job at making me feel comfortable at my first camp! Calling all parents or otherwise super busy people who need efficient workouts! My life with work and kids feels insane, so I require something that is scheduled and gets down to business. Burn is it! Add on that it’s fun and gets you super strong is just icing on the cake. Trainers are top notch and will push you and also help you nurture an injury when needed. All bodies accepted here, so it feels very inclusive. If you’re nervous about not being able to do some exercises, don’t be. There are mods for all fitness levels. I started Jan 2020 and haven’t looked back.

Burn Bootcamp North Durham has been life changing for me. I am so thankful my friend referred me to join back in 2019. The trainers are extremely supportive, attentive, kind, and fun. I’ve gone through numerous surgeries and incurred many injuries over the past 5 years, and the trainers provide me with modifications that feel customized to my needs. I never knew that was possible in a group class setting, but at Burn Bootcamp they prioritize making you feel seen and supported. I also take advantage of the 1:1 focus meetings with the head trainer, Sarah, where we talk about my health/wellness goals. The membership fee is beyond worth it for the invaluable value you get out of your experience.

I love this Burn Boot Camp. I tried other gyms but I could never stay consistent and I never really knew what I was doing. I’ve been a member of Burn for 2.5 years, and I can’t imagine stopping anytime soon. The environment is encouraging. The people are friendly. The workouts will challenge you regardless of your ability. The trainers are fantastic and cater to you. There are 2 Burn locations between my apartment and here, and I can’t bring myself to move my membership to one of the closer locations because of how great this one is. I’ve never been as strong, healthy, and knowledgeable as I am now because of Burn! 10/10 would recommend.

So happy to have found Burn! I joined last September and am definitely in the best shape of my life (and that’s even after having two babies recently). The childwatch is a life savor and I am so grateful for that part of Burn. The trainers are amazing (they will even meet with you 1:1 to help with your goals) and the community is great. I joined after I tried a free class, and felt full of endorphins for 2+ days. The Burn program has everything I need as a busy parent- strength training program that I don’t have to plan, motivational workout buddies, positive energy, high efficiency, inspiring trainers, lots of time options to fit my busy schedule plus childcare if needed/ fun events! Since I started going about 4 months ago, I have dropped >3% body fat and replaced it with lean muscle. I thought my fitness was ok before Burn. 💪 🤓 🔥 I feel stronger, healthier & happier!

Update - 1 year later and I still love Burn Boot Camp North Durham. They did not skip a beat when they had to close down for COVID. I have continued workouts on Zoom and in their parking lot. Burn Boot Camp North Durham has kept me sane during a crazy time.

Pros: The trainers are amazing. Sarah is the GOAT and I've really enjoyed her classes over the last 6 months, although some work and travel have come up and kept me away over the past few months. The environment is very welcoming and I never felt out of place. I hope to re-join in the new year after a medically forced break. Also - the free childcare. I don't have kids, but honestly I think it's AMAZING that burn offers free childcare. It's such a nice way to take care of your members and make sure they can make time to take care of themselves.
A few things to note: The gym is much smaller than any other Burn I've tried and with limited classes, they fill up FAST. The location also feels less modern than a lot of other ones. I think expanding in to a larger location could work wonders for them. I've never had an issue with a class being over capacity, but if you don't like feeling cramped when you work out, it might not be for you.
The memberships are expensive and PLEASE review your contract because they auto-renew and Burn does NOT send you an email to remind you that it will be happening. Easy to forget when you signed up 6 months before. I thought mine would end after 6 months and then was hit with a surprise charge. Ultimately my fault, but just be aware when you sign your contract of that little detail! Maybe make a note in your calendar to review your membership 7 days before it is set to renew.

I’ve always been someone who prefers group fitness classes. I hate working out alone and appreciate the accountability and motivation a group fitness setting brings. I was so nervous about joining the burn group because I haven't been in the gym in quite some time but the ladies here have been absolutely amazing. Burn Boot Camp is a welcoming and motivating space. Sarah, the head trainer at the North Durham location, is knowledgeable and guides you through every step of the way. I am in my 4th week or training and I look forward to every workout. Sarah sat with me for a one on one conversation at the start of my training and went over my goals with me based off my body and what was healthy for me. The trainers all work hard to create a safe space for everyone while also creating a sense of community- I have never given/received so many high-fives in my life. My peers will offer me gentle suggestions when they see I am struggling or even words of encouragement when they can see I’m close to giving up.
Whether you are trying to lose weight, gain muscle, tone up, or simply just move your body- I highly highly recommend joining us! I have never done this style of work out but I walk in confidently every day knowing that I am going to learn and achieve something new while giving my body the movement and strength it’s been wanting.

During the pandemic of 2020 I gave Burn a try with a 2 week trial in August doing the outdoor pop up camps. I was hooked immediately... it’s fun, challenging, and I’m ALWAYS glad I went. I've been attending Burn ND for nearly a year now. Yes, even through a pandemic! When things got tough in the spring and they were forced to close their doors, the owner and trainers worked their rears off to provide access to workouts through facebook live, zoom, and online recordings. They offered at home modifications, were creative with materials you could find at home, and were constantly encouraging and coming up with ways to keep everyone engaged. Now, they continue to modify as things change and roll with the punches. The workouts are excellent, the community is lovely, and the trainers are dedicated and fun!

I did a 14-day trial with the North Durham Burn Boot Camp in September of 2019, and joined as a full member shortly thereafter. The trainers are awesome (shout out to Sarah, Cheryl & Jo) and the workouts offer a ton of variety throughout each week. The community is one of the reasons I enjoy this gym so much. I've been able to get to know a ton of awesome women and feel more engaged/accountable to show up everyday. Outside of just the workouts themselves, BBC has 1:1 focus meetings with the trainers, which I find to be really valuable, and they also spend a good amount of time on their members page focusing on nutrition and other fun things outside of the gym!

After several months of hearing friends and coworkers rave about their experiences at Burn, I began a two-week trial and loved it. Shortly thereafter, I signed up for an 18-month membership, and it has proven to be an excellent decision. All staff members and trainers are very kind, knowledgeable, and experienced, enabling them to provide a positive experience for people of all fitness levels and body types. To their great credit, they have shown enormous flexibility during a pandemic and have hustled to provide multiple, safe workout opportunities (distanced in-person, outside, and virtual) to meet the needs of all of their members. I wouldn't have survived quarantine without them!!! I have been with Burn ND for over 2.5 years and I was really nervous about how Covid would impact my daily work outs. Burn has been SO great through all of it. They immediately started live Zoom workouts, and recorded workouts, as soon as they had to shut down. Over the summer I felt comfortable working out in the parking lot and they are still offering several outside classes, as well as Zoom, small inside classes, and recorded classes. They also were super flexible with members and membership fees, even offering scholarships. As an educator I don't have a ton of extra money to spend on things like a gym membership...but Burn ND is more than a gym membership! I see my outside workout friends more than my actual friends right now, ha! Give them a try!

I had started Burn back in 2016 and took a hiatus in 2018, I eventually realized that Burn is the only workout I have ever been able to do consistently. I love that it is different every day and the people are so motivating. If you don't show up for a few days -- your gym peeps are on the lookout for you. There are always modifications up or down for injuries or abilities and you are always encouraged to do your best. I love the judgement free environment and I know I am getting stronger every day. I joined burn bootcamp when it opened two years ago. This place has been a godsend for moms who want a hard workout in a short amount of time (40mins)! They have a nice mix of strength and cardio and new variations of exercises every time - to keep you guessing! As a physical therapist I recommend burn bootcamp to a lot of my patients as it is an easy way to get strength training in to supplement other training like marathon mileage and triathlons. Lastly, DJ is phenomenal. I don’t think I can ever work with another trainer ever again!!!

I started BurnBootCamp April 2017. What a difference it has made in my life. The first day I walked in the trainer (DJ) asked me if I was knew, I asked why bc of the scared look on my face. He told me I would be ok and he was right. My friend convinced me to do a trial at BBC when I was on my maternity leave. One and a half years later, I am still going 5-6 days per week. Our trainers are amazing (especially DJ)!
