This is an AWESOME gym! I have been doing the small group classes and they’re really great. Everyone is friendly and very kind. The instructor is knowledgeable and gives positive, helpful feedback while making you feel confident. It’s in a beautiful new space with great equipment. The class sizes are perfect and I get a great workout!

Anna is amazing. She has a deep understanding of how the body works and has been helping me work through my various injures and complaints that have prevented me from exercising much in the past. She just gets how I might change my form or what stretch might help or what muscle group is weak.

She's a joy to work with and learn from and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a personal trainer whether it is the first time (like me) or you have experience with others.

I started going to CHT about a year ago. My trainer Robert collected a detailed history of my activity, injuries, and goals. Each session is completely different. Every time I think I've experienced it all, Rob gives me a new challenge. He also sends dozens of at-home workouts on an app so I can keep up at home.

The owner Cody is very sweet and the facility is clean and organized. Covid safety is taken very seriously. I'm usually the only client in the gym with my trainer. When I have seen other clients, they're all sizes and ages. I highly recommend CHT for anyone with wellness goals, regardless of experience!

I joined CHT in the fall of 2017 and immediately knew I made the right decision. Working out and reaching your fitness goals can be annoying, and a really sensitive and vulnerable process, and it really makes a difference when you not only have trainers who are supportive and hold you accountable, but you're surrounded by other people who are supportive and make all that hard work worth it. I've lost count the number of times I've recommended this gym to my friends. It is worth the investment not only because it's an investment in yourself and your health, but you're investing in a community that will have you actually look forward to going to work out, you won't mind the hard work as much, and you'll be amazed at how much fun you'll end up having. If you're on the fence, or you're like me and you were really self conscious about working out around people or just starting somewhere, please note this is a really safe, professional, and fun place to pursue and meet your health goals. You won't regret it!

Chapel Hill Training kept me accountable to my own goals despite COVID! Gyms are closed and especially in the summer, I like to workout outside in the (COOLER) evenings .. but once we got to June this year .. I just did NOT have it in me to do much more than knock out a short loop run and then walk. My body-weight/light weight self-circuit TOTALLY fell off the list of what I was doing, so I connected with Chapel Hill Training for a personal training package centered around accountability. Chris Rain (and Anna, when she adopted me for a couple sessions) were amazing about navigating my anxieties around new movements, not pushing me to do things that were outside of my specific goals for the way I want my body to look and feel, but busting my butt with even a 45-minute session. And mainly .. working with them safely/at a distance (and outdoors) gave me a sense of community and served as a the fun motivation I needed. I moved away from Chapel Hill, otherwise I'd still be working with them!

A friend invited me to the Saturday Sweat (aka Donation Dumbbells and DJs) with Patricia Callison and Cody Johnson. It was SOOOOO good and on-line - perfect for this β€œnew normal”. Sweaty. Fun. Challenging. Patricia is a smart instructor who provides guidance and modifications. It’s an awesome class! I will be joining for weeks to come!

I participated in CHT's new injury prevention for runners program, which you complete at your own convenience at home using an app on your phone. I had a great experience, as a moderately serious runner who has not given enough attention to strength and stability training in the past. Long story short, the program really helped support my running and I don't think it was a coincidence that in the half-marathon that the program was helping me build toward, I ran a PR.

Some might be skeptical of a program that is not in-person. However, I found it convenient to be able to complete the workouts at a time and place that worked for me, and also found that I still got a lot of benefits that I wouldn't have gotten just working out without the support of a trainer. Cody designs and structures all the workouts to gradually build in difficulty level, and records great videos himself to explain them. Most importantly he is super available to answer questions via the messaging function of the app - I had a few questions over the course of the program and he always provided illuminating, detailed answers and thoughtful suggestions. It's also possible to come into the studio to work on specific things or with questions, and Cody offered this option to me - in the end it turned out not to be necessary, but was good to have as an option. Additionally, the check-in function on the app, so that Cody can see your progress, provides accountability for those who, like me, don't have the discipline to stick to a training schedule completely on their own. Overall the program is perfect for those who, like me, want a program that is more flexible and affordable than in-person training, but provides more support and accountability than doing it all yourself.

You can do personal training, or small group. I like the small group, because they are small enough that you get personalized attention, but you're not the *sole* focus of the trainer! They are big on proper form and not causing injury (REALLY like that!). Friendly (certified!) trainers that do a good mix of encouraging and bullying (in a good way, I promise!!)

Chapel hill training is the best place to train! They offer an incredibly personal experience that produces results. I worked with Cody and Justin, both were very knowledgeable and professional. They work to create a personalized approach to training for each individual at an appropriate level. I previously had a terrible experience with PT at a large gym and was very hesitant to start training again. Chapel Hill Training was very sensitive to my experience and completely changed my opinion of personal training. I was quick to see results and was able to learn new routines that I was able to do at home as well. They also offer a great boot camp class that is very reasonably priced and is designed for people of all levels. I highly recommend this studio!

This place is very personal. Boot camp classes are small and everyone gets enough attention and correction to prevent injury. This is the most important aspect of training for me. AND, it doesn't hurt that it feels like a community, staff is amazing (by the way, Justin rocks!), location is the best. Personal training sessions are developed to support your goals and keep you on track. Absolutely 5 stars from me.

Awesome staff that will work one-on-one with you to design a fitness plan to fit your needs/lifestyle. Great space that's downtown and close to everything. Plenty of fitness options to choose from.

Chapel Hill Training is a great place to work out! The boot camp classes are fabulous! You will work hard with trainers who encourage you to work out with friendly faces. The workouts are dynamic, changing each time you arrive at CHT. The trainers are supportive of your goals, friendly, and promote a family atmosphere within the bootcamp classes. As someone who needs an extra push to do a complete body workout, I would absolutely recommend Chapel Hill Training.
