The Urban Bliss School of Yoga's 200 HR YTT, directed and led by Lizzy Hoffman, was an incredible experience. I loved everything about the course. From the excellent and authentic instruction, teaching, perspective, and guidance of Lizzy, to my fellow students, to the curriculum and overall experience, it was life changing! Lizzy is as real as they come; genuine, honest, and unbelievably talented. I am newer to yoga and I learned more in a month during this 200 HR course than I could have ever imagined. We covered in depth the philosophy, lifestyle, history, language, anatomy, asanas and sequences of Ashtanga yoga and other types of yoga. We learned and practiced how to become the best teachers we can be. If you're looking for a 200 HR teacher training, know that Lizzy's Urban Bliss training will NOT disappoint!

This is a "yoga mill" type school. Their focus is on pushing through as many students as possible, not the quality of the the teachers they churn out. one example; they do not have any training on the role or power of music. The instructors they train have play lists that are not linked to the style, let alone the moves of the practice! One instructor I took a class under played fast country music with words to a "restorative" yoga class. Just went to another gentle yoga class tonight, and the instructor played loud, tension filled, dissonant music. Watch out if your instructor was trained here!

The 200h teacher training through urban bliss goes far beyond learning asanas and how to teach a class. Lizzy is a highly educated yogi who will teach you the true meaning of yoga. The training works for people of all levels and abilities- whether you're just curious about yoga or determined to teach. Get ready to work hard and learn a lot. I can honestly say Urban Bliss, Lizzy, and Oliver changed my life!!

My classmates and I are almost done with our teacher training for the summer. It's hard to believe how far we've come. I have had many instructors throughout my yoga practice but none have come close to Lizzy. Lizzy has taught us what yoga is really about and it's refreshing to learn from someone who has so much passion for what they do. I am grateful that she has shared her incredible knowledge with me. While I wasn't exactly sure what I was getting myself into when I started teacher training, I have learned so more than I could ever expect. If you take Lizzy's teacher training at Urban Bliss, you will master the history of yoga, anatomy of the human body, a modified Primary Series within the Ashtanga practice, and how to formulate your own yoga sequence. But above all, you will gain an understanding of how yoga is a mind, body, and spirit practice - that yoga can be a part of your life even when you're off the mat. Be prepared to work hard, both mentally and physically, and you will graduate Lizzy's training as one of the best 200 hr RYT there is! Lizzy is awesome and I couldn't have asked for a better teacher!

I am currently about halfway through my 200 hr. YTT with Lizzy Hoffman/Urban Bliss Yoga. I was unsure what to expect when I signed up for my teacher training. I looked into other courses and I actually have a friend enrolled in a different 200 hr. YTT and our learning experiences have been completely different. Lizzy goes in depth into the history and teaches you a lot more than the basic yoga postures and poses. I am so happy that I choose to go with Lizzy and Urban Bliss. I know this will be an un-forgettable experience.

Coming into 200 HR YTT with Lizzy Hoffman just a few weeks ago I had no idea what I was in for. Looking back, it was the best decision I've ever made. My practice was nowhere near where it is now. I am not a very athletic person and the practice is very physically challenging. This is what I used to dread. Now, after a few weeks of training, my strength and endurance has increased ten fold. Lizzy is very encouraging and understands that we are where we are in our practice and everyone's journey will be different. She truly fosters a safe place for learning.
Her lectures are nothing short of inspiring and deliciously thought provoking. I leave every class feeling charged with energy from the physical practice, yet calmed and more connected to the world from the lecture. Even if teaching is not your intention, do yourself a favor and take your practice to the next level with Lizzy's training.

My classmates and I are halfway through our teacher training program with Lizzy Hoffman of Urban Bliss. We have learned the Ashtanga (Modified) Primary series and are moving on to the sequencing of Vinyasa classes. None of us have anything negative to say and have only had positive experiences.
Lizzy is extremely passionate about many forms of yoga and brings this great energy into the classroom. Yes, the training is challenging, but I'm glad as it will make us all strong instructors. The instruction is fun, direct, and appropriate. Definitely an eye opening experience...learning how much we don't know and how much there is still to learn.
I would certainly recommend this school to future teacher trainees.

Haven't been to Urban Bliss Yoga, but I can testify to what a wonderful person the owner Lizzy Hoffman is.
I met Lizzy in a Spinning Training where she was the Master Instructor. She taught me so much, which I use almost everyday in my Indoor Cycling Classes. What is so amazing is that she actually answers my calls, and tries to get me a answer.
Wish that I lived closer to her, because even though I am not an experienced Yoga person, I would take one of her many trainings she offers.
I can only imagine what a amazing place Urban Bliss Yoga is with Lizzy at the helm. Amazing and caring woman she is!
