This is a beautiful space to enjoy a great Zumba class on Saturday mornings at 9:00 with Tanja. High ceilings, big windows with restrooms and plenty of parking right outside the door.

I went to a dance fundraiser there way back when and fell in love with the beautiful space, so much so that I started teaching there shortly after (2012). Although my journey has led me to move on and teach all over Chatham and the surrounding counties the next many years, after the pandemic my path led me back to teach there again starting this past summer 2025. I feel like I’ve come full circle. It feels like I’ve come home. The dance studio is gorgeous, well cared for & kept clean, filled with historic charm (as it’s in an old textile mill), high lofted ceilings, large windows that stream sunlight onto the hardwood floors, fans high overhead and temperature controlled, and the sound system is top notch. The new person in charge and the variety of teachers all give love to this place like it’s their own dance studio. The instructors are well educated in their areas, kind, and professional. It’s a wonderful group here! And I love the variety of classes offered: ballroom, line dancing, dance classes for kids, mat pilates, ballet, Zumba & Zumba Toning, UnDance, breathwork & movement, and several yoga classes as well. I heard Tai Chi may be added in the near future too. Definitely the place to go for all things dance, yoga, and wellness in one spot, right in downtown Pittsboro.

This is truly a beautiful space with many different types of movement classes to offer. I've tried ballet, yoga, line dance, and of course Zumba! The instructors are all wonderful and the community is very welcoming. Highly recommend!

I've been dancing at this studio for 15 years, and teaching here for 10 years. Love the diversity of dance experiences, and wellness classes too. Beautiful Sacred calming space, and supportive community. I always feel uplifted and peaceful, while getting great movement for my body and mind.

We are so very lucky to have this beautiful studio right here in Pittsboro! I take Adult Ballet Class twice a week, ballroom dancing with my husband on Thursday evenings, and Line Dancing on Fridays from 11-noon. Life doesn't get much better than this.

I’ve had a wonderful experience taking ballroom dance classes at Chatham Mills Studio. Lindsey is an exceptional instructor whose passion for dance and teaching truly shines through in every lesson. She creates a welcoming and energetic environment, making beginners and experienced dancers alike feel comfortable and inspired. Lindsey’s clear instruction, patience, and ability to break down complex moves made learning a variety of dances—from classic waltz to lively salsa—fun and accessible. The studio itself is a beautiful and historic space that adds to the overall charm of the experience. If you’re looking to learn ballroom or social dancing in the Pittsboro area, Lindsey and Chatham Mills Studio are top-notch. Highly recommend!

The Chatham Mills Studio is a welcoming, magical and joyous place to be. There are many wonderful choices of classes to take and my favorite is Kate Finlayson's " Undance" class on Mondays. It is an absolutely wonderful form of movement, play, music and learning about our body, mind and emotional self. She is full of life, energy and has the best dance routines of all time.
