Club Pilates South Providence provides small group and private training classes for reformer Pilates (equipment based pilates). We are a contemporary Pilates studio that incorporates TRX, Bosu, Ballet Barre and more into our reformer Pilates classes.
The Club Pilates team has more combined hours studying, training, teaching and practicing Pilates than any other Pilates studio in existence. It's not even close. And over that time, we have perfected our unique and proprietary approach to ensuring every Club Pilates member receives the finest training and most effective results.

Unprofessional customer service. I booked my first class which they cancelled 35 min before a class due to being short of stuff. I asked the manager to call me back and never got a return call.
They have a 12 hour cancellation notice for the customer while they can cancel 35 min before a class.

I've been a member since Dec 2023. Such a great facility, equipment and really excellent instructors. I was hesitant to take group classes because I had become accustomed to private sessions with a PT instructor due to autoimmune issues. However, I always feel very comfortable with the level of oversight and specific instruction -- as a matter of fact I have MUCH better workouts and have made more progress in my practice with Club Pilates because I am able to take classes more frequently because of the affordability vs privates! I can't recommend them enough.

I Love Club Pilates. Both locations South Providence and Strawberry Hill. It is a part of my daily routine 5 to 6 days a week. Saying that something has changed your life normally sounds like hyperbole, but in this case I have to say that Club Pilates is a life changer. For the first time in my adult life, I have found exercise that I love, that gets results and that feels safe for my body. Not only have I been able to gain strength, balance and improved posture, the mental benefits of exercising regularly can't be overstated. The instructors are all very knowledgeable and kind and the community of members is supportive and friendly. The investment in health has paid off it other ways as well. Not only have I been able to lose weight gained after menopause, I was able to reduce inflammation that was causing serious pain. I joined Club Pilates last year at the recommendation of a friend. The first class was short and instructional. I loved it. I booked every day that I could. I went for 3 weeks but the more intense I worked out, the more sick I would become. I would be nauseous for the rest of the day from the time I worked out. I was experiencing extreme motion sickness from the workouts. So much, that when I bent over to clean my mat I would get sick. I loved the work outs but would be so ill that I was not able to continue. I spoke with the associate at the counter and requested that my membership be cancelled. I was told to email the manager/owner. I also cancelled through email. I continued to be billed. I followed all cancellation protocol and never received a reply or response from anyone. I continued to email and call to ensure the cancellation but continued to be billed. I finally had my bank stop payment. Today, I realized they have continued to bill me when I received notice that my account has been sent to collections for over $1300.00. I have called again today with no response. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

What a great workout every time!!! Thanks to Club Pilates Providence and Strawberry Hill, I am regaining much more of my balance, core, and pelvic floor strength. I love the classes and how they target areas we ALL need help with as we get older. I appreciate their careful explanations and how they help you feel the muscles and how to use them. The classes with lymphatic massage have also been a great addition to my over all health and wellness. I have enjoyed each one of my classes. Grateful to have them help me on my fitness journey as I try to stay moving without pain and healthy throughout my 50's and beyond.

I am a RN and had frequent lower back pain from long shifts and heavy lifting at work. I started Pilates in 2019 and after about 6 months, I stopped having lower back pain and haven’t had it since! And at 54, I actually feel taller now

Great exercise for great health! Few classes already can feel the difference: less fatigue, more energy, more flexibility…By the end of the 50mins class, body start to sweat gently. It is the perfect way to retain Chi without excessive sweat! I am “the accompanying man” to my wife for the exercise she likes most. Come try yourself and you will see the difference!!!

I’ve really enjoyed Pilates and find the classes a lot of fun! It’s quite relaxing for the mind and still provides a full body routine to tone and push me. The variety of instruction is nice, and I appreciate how different each instructor is. It’s refreshing to get a change-up in personality from class-to-class and I like that the work is different each week even when it’s the same class & instructor. The ladies here are friendly and encouraging. I will say, it was challenging to get started as most classes stayed full, but this is a testament to how many members enjoy coming here. Once you’ve been in a few weeks, it’s simple and easy to book out classes in advance. Five stars from me! Give it a try!

Update: if you’ve experienced problems at this location like I have I urge you to try Iron Butterfly or Core Pilates!
Signed up for a free trial. This location called me several time a day trying to “confirm” although I’d already confirmed via text. When I answered the phone I spoke to Millie and I told her I wasn’t interested in a membership, just drop in classes because the reviews implied there aren’t very many classes available. I was told it’s not worth it to come for the free trial since I don’t want to commit to a membership. Maybe if I’d tried it out I may have like it enough to get a membership but since I was basically told not to come I will never know.

I was looking for a place to workout where I could go to get toned and help with my balance, but I did not want a big gym atmosphere. Pilates has been the perfect solution for me and Club Pilates checks all my boxes. There are several different classes to choose from, the instructors have been awesome, including the the recent additions to the staff, and I have met some really wonderful ladies. I really look forward to going to the classes, and this location has been a game-changer for me!! A big shout out to ALL the instructors and to Lisa, the GM, for making this location so enjoyable. i have mixed feelings about my experience! on one hand, i loved all the classes i was able to get into and found myself getting toned and stronger in places i hadn't before. if you are able to get into classes consistently, it is great to see results!
on the other hand, it is impossible to get into classes. nearly almost every class is on a long waitlist and if you want to try to level up (which they require), you can't get into classes that allow you to do so. given the limited availability, you feel like you get stuck on a level. for an unlimited $199/month membership, I should be able to get into classes at least 5 days a week.
some of the instructors were great but a few of them gave me conflicting feedback on form, etc. which left me confused at times. additionally, and this might just my preference, but they should be playing fun and louder music! not all instructors use mics or have a fun playlist so sometimes i would leave classes feeling bored. working out should be fun!
lastly, it was kind of a hassle to cancel my membership. i notified at least a month in advance and was still receiving charges + had to follow up a couple of times.

This place is impossible to cancel a membership with. I called and emailed numerous times. They failed to respond in a timely manner and when I disputed the charge to my credit card, they threatened to take me to collections. The studio is always booked and I cannot regularly make classes and are just wait-listed. This is not a nice way to do business and I do not recommend wasting your money here. Poor customer service all around.

Love Club Pilates! VERY traditional, true, reformer & springboard pilates, rather than a HIIT hybrid with bodyweight pilates. I tore my ACL almost exactly a year ago, and this studio was the PERFECT way to reincorporate flexibility and strength training once I was cleared by my surgeon post-operatively. I've been consistent for almost 7-8 months! Just make sure to voice any injuries or concerns you have, and the instructors will be sure to offer modifications for everyone. Could not recommend more!

I can’t say enough great things about Club Pilates South Providence. I started going on a whim almost 3 years ago, and it very quickly turned into a 4-times a week addiction - I would go every day if I could fit it into my schedule! I have a pretty stressful desk job, and the hour I spend in class is incredibly restorative. The studio is really nice and I love all the instructors – everyone has a different vibe so every class is different even when there is continuity of the types of exercises you’re doing. My mind is usually racing for the first 5 minutes, and then the flow of the class kicks in and the outside world truly melts away. I am so much stronger and my posture is so much better than when I started, and it didn’t take long at all to see real results. The instructors are encouraging and kind, and very knowledgeable. I also like that classes are increasingly a mix of younger and older women; I wish I had started Pilates much earlier in life because it’s such perfect exercise!

I have enjoyed my club Pilates experience and it’s got me back on a healthier routine. I had never done Pilates before but a friend recommended to me so I took an intro class and shortly after I joined. I recommend the unlimited class membership because it allows you to book out 15 classes. The classes are small (12) so they do fill up and the unlimited membership is worth it! I have never had an issue getting into a class. The instructors are great and provide the personal adjustment when needed. The location is easy to get to and in and out of (vs. the local YMCAs) and is also clean and well maintained. I highly recommend! I have completed 22 classes and can definitely feel the difference in my body! Come join us!

I am obsessed with the classes at Club Pilates South Providence. I look forward to every class I sign up for online, whether it is 6am or 11am. It is so easy to book your classes for the whole month as well as change classes. I love the strength and stretching aspects of the workouts. Lisa and. If you're considering Club Pilates at Providence Promenade, I can't recommend it highly enough! I've been attending two classes a week since June 2023, and it has been one of the best decisions I've made for my health and well-being. The variety of classes available really keeps things exciting—whether it's a class focused on stretching, which is a wonderful way to ease into the week, or a more intense strength and endurance class, which is perfect for the middle of the week, I always feel challenged and engaged. The cardio classes are a blast and some of the most fun I've had working out!
All the instructors are fantastic, but I especially love Mary Katherine and Laura. Their energy, encouragement, and expertise have made each class enjoyable and effective. Whether we're focusing on strength, flexibility, or balance, I always leave class feeling accomplished and energized.
Pilates has done wonders for my body—not just in terms of strength but in the way I've seen definition in my arms, legs, and shoulders. The changes are noticeable, not just to me but to others as well. It's been so fun to see my body transform, slimming me down and giving me a more toned and defined figure. Literally obsessed with this place and the people there. I've always loved working out from the YMCA to the boutique fitness classes and I've done everything from Cycling, Bootcamp, Barre, Hot Yoga to Pilates and I can honestly say this is the "easiest" way to see results. The reformer method is my favorite way to spend my "happy hour" and makes 6am classes worth rolling out of bed for. The manager, Lisa, is the greatest. I appreciate her enthusiasm when she sees me in one of her classes and her hands-on approach. What's neat is that no two classes are the same and you can get entirely different vibes from different teachers so you will never get bored with this workout! Plus you'll be obsessed because of your results!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND joining a Club Pilates wherever you live but if you are lucky enough to live near Providence Promenade, this is for sure your place! Best part is you can also go to the one at Strawberry Hill if you want to as part of your membership!!

I recently joined Club Pilates South Providence with Renew Active through my Medicare plan. I am obsessed with this form of exercise. My body and mind are energized after the class, my core feels stronger and the exercises are so gentle on my joints. I have had 2 back surgeries and have arthritis in both knees. I've taken classes with both Michelle and Kelsey. They are wonderful instructors, making sure that my form is good and all the movements correct, and add modifications when necessary. Their styles are motivating, knowledgeable and challenging. The studio is inviting and friendly. So glad I decided to take the plunge and join Club Pilates.

Since beginning Pilates last year, it has changed my body and I feel amazing! I love the variety of classes offered where I can take classes for balance and stretching, cardio and strength building. Me and 2 of my friends signed up for the intro class and left very upset. The instructor only gave attention to the same 2 people and was extremely rude to one of my friends. I noticed her tone was very soft and gentle with the other clients and short and cold with my friend who needed more guidance. It was so rude to the point my friend had to ask her to speak nicely. I noticed my two friends really needed help since I was across from them but she kept only going to the other 2 ladies who honestly didn’t seem like they needed it. The Instructors should not be biased and help everyone especially since this is an intro class and people come with no experience with Pilates. Will find another Pilates location. This place needs to do better job training their instructors. Also you could barely understand what the instructor was saying with the mic echo. Everybody had to look around to figure out what she was saying.

Very UNprofressional. I scheduled a trial class and got a text that I need to live near the providence area and when I asked why they cancelled my session with zero notice. Completely rude, I asked for the owner to return my phone call and got nothing.. not surprised as they probably feel embarrassed that their staff is incompetent. As I'm approaching my 1100 class, I decided it was a good time to write a review of Club Pilates South Providence/Strawberry Hill. It has been a place I call home since the beginning. I've experienced different teachers, managers, front desk assistants and even members over the years. Through it all, the classes are varied and challenging. From the minute I enter the doors for every class till the minute I leave, I get a great workout, feel less stressed, more centered, and get to see friendly faces all around me.

I am new to Club Pilates but cant enough great things about this studio - the instructors are top notch and the management is also amazing to work with. As a new member, they have been extremely attentive. I love the classes and am learning so much and the instructors have been great in teaching me the correct moves. And availability for classes has been wonderful! I love this studio and highly recommend it to anyone considering it. It is definitely a game changer for me!

I have been a member of CP since Nov 2021. I am grateful for the state of the art equipment and the wonderfully trained instructors. They are all well educated and easy to talk to with any questions or modifications you need. The studio is always clean and the members are delightful. Reformer Pilates class has helped my body immensely with being a dental hygienist four days a week.
The reason I am giving it 4 stars is because I am not able to get into the classes anymore that revolve around my work schedule. I have an 8 class/ month membership and the last three months I have simply not been able to attend all the classes, not because I am not available, but because I am on a waitlist.
I would recommend CP to you if you are retired or have a flexible (think work from home) schedule . I would not recommend it if you work four or more days a week during traditional business hours, for you will either be looking at buying an unlimited membership (for $200) or 8 class package ($144). If you do the 8 class package or 4 class package, you can only book one month in advance and your classes do not carry over into the next month if you are unable to attend a class due to the waitlist. The waitlist can be significant- I have been #7 on the waitlist several times. They no longer give out grip socks for when you attend 100 classes which is a bummer, but that is a corporate thing, not a location issue. Just worth mentioning since I was excited to receive my socks only to be told they no longer give them out.
One thing worth trying is to show up for a class that you are not signed up for in hopes that 1 out of the 12 people signed up will not attend. I have done this three different times and all three times someone was signed up, but never showed, allowing me to take the class.

I cannot say enough about South Providence Club Pilates! Not only have I become a Pilates addict, I love my local studio. Every instructor is so knowledgeable and so patient. I have learned a lot about what Pilates does for my body and I’ve seen the results. I’ve been a member for over a year and plan to keep on going!

I’ve been joined membership here since Nov 2022, majority of the staff and tutors are really really nice, enjoyed doing some excises here. Only one thing that I will complain is that the courses are so full we have to book at least 3 weeks ahead otherwise can only try our luck by stay in waiting list, which may be pulled in at last minute. So I have to switch from 8 classes per month to unlimited package in order to book courses earlier, and so as all of my friends that I brought in.

If you cant handle your work load maybe you shouldn’t be managing anything! What a terrible way to handle business! Despite the reviews I still signed up with the hopes I wouldn’t experience the same. BUT clearly I was wrong. The run around they give you for months at a time is ridiculous! The employees will tell you Lisa will call you back but she wont. Instead she will send you an email that has nothing to do with your actual concern. Lisa specifically will try to make you feel special and get you to join and do more and more classes while she takes your money. I had to file a complaint on the website and put a stop payment just so they wouldn’t continue to take my money. The complaint went nowhere btw! So disappointed in how they handle business. I was looking forward to rejoining. *please dont respond with one of your bs automated replies about how you value me as a client. Since February 2021 I have attended over 200 pilates classes. Before I started I could barely do a push up, now I can hold a sixty second plank. Sciatica and shoulder stiffness were gone within two months. Along with a stronger core and body, my breathing is stronger, I sleep better and I’m not as scatter brained. In short- I LOVE PILATES- and intend on doing Pilates for the rest of my life.
Please understand, you may need to consult a physician before starting a new fitness program. Pilates instructors are not physicians and are not responsible for determining your individual level of fitness, flexibility or strength. Come to class with respect for your Pilates instructor. Each instructor teaches differently, but are ultimately there for your benefit. They are here to teach, guide and also to protect you.
Important! There are several level one classes for a reason. Pilates is a series of carefully and intentionally orchestrated movements. If your instructor corrects you, she is doing so for your safety. Set aside any fragile feelings and respect your instructors assistance. Out of caution for yourself and courtesy to other students, PLEASE do not take a class you are not ready for. You risk injury and it is not courteous to other students who have worked and progressed to advanced levels.
Now- Club Pilates is a BUSINESS with a legally binding contract. Please. Read the contract before signing it. It surprises me to read some of the reviews from people who feel their special circumstances exclude them from a contract.
If you are searching for a fitness program that you can do for the rest of your life- search no more. Club Pilates is a clean and professionally run club with exceptional instructors.

BEWARE there is a reason this business has so many negative reviews. This uncaring greedy manager/ owner is more concerned with making a buck than doing right by customers. I was injured (SI/ back) in one of their classes my first week and still had to pay for the entire month $199, they paused it for the next month even though they initially did not want to while I was in physical therapy and chiropractor for treatment. They rebilled me another $199 so I tried one class and only made it through half the class due to reinjuring myself. They have refused to refund my money or cancel my membership without paying another $100! So they essentially feel it is good business to charge someone who was injured in one of their classes and unable to return $199 for half a class, plus an extra $100 in addition to the $199 paid for a few times before I was injured the first month. I was a member of another club pilates before moving here and have been with numerous other studios long term over the past 15 years and never have I encountered someone like this. The ironic thing about all this is, if she would have handled this professionally instead of gouging me from the beginning, I would likely have been a member for many years after I fully rehabbed my injury and she would have made exponentially more $ from me.

I am approaching my 250th class milestone and can say that Pilates and the Providence instructors have made an impact on my life. Improved strength and flexibility, eliminated arthritis medicine. No two classes alike and always some new move keeps routines

Club Pilates is the first exercise routine that I have actually been able to stick with! I believe the reason for this is that the workouts are fun and the environment is very positive. In less than one year, I have improved my back and core strength and my posture has improved. My arms are toning up and my stamina has improved. I’m in tears this is a horrible business the owner is money hungry insensitive. I was a member for 1 month before I ruptured the two muscles in my left calf. Reached out to the club and
owner wants to keep my 189 dollars and due to medical reasons my doctors said at least 12-16 weeks before I could return so i can’t use classes but they are refusing to refund my money and i don’t have a credit towards the classes. This is very sad I informed the staff before the payment was even drafted that I was injured they still took payment charged late fee and now nothing.

I am a bit surprised to hear other reviews with complaints about membership fees. I attend the Club Pilates in South Providence and the staff and teachers are wonderful! I had my account frozen and when I requested this, they were extremely responsive to do so. The facility was ahead of COVID and has always been super clean and on top of cleaning equipment. The teachers are always switching up classes so I appreciate having a different workout each time. I have zero complaints, Club Pilates in South Providence is a wonderful place!

The Club Pilates membership that takes seconds to purchase on their app is almost impossible to cancel. I spent 4 months and countless hours contacting Club Pilates South Providence by sending a message in their mobile app, calling and emailing the studio, and leaving a Facebook message on the corporate Club Pilates Facebook page. Club Pilates South Providence has predatory membership and class cancellation fees designed to lock consumers into paying fees without attending classes.

My wife joined Club Pilates with a friend in late Sept. to better her wellbeing. She signed up for a 3 month trial. Classes were great and she loved it.
Shortly before Christmas, a sudden accidental family death forced her to leave the country immediately. Literally, as my wife boarded the plane to help her ailing mother in South America, only hours after her father perished in a horrible car accident, she asked her pilates friend to inform Club Pilates of the life changing situation. She explained that my wife hoped to be back within a week, but could be longer, and looked forward to return to classes asap. My wife's friend was told by Club Pilates, not to worry, they would speak to my wife as soon as she returned, and they seemed sympathetic.
My wife was unable to return for 3 weeks. Upon return, she found she had been billed the full amount. My wife went to talk to them, explained how things are in chaos at moment and needed a little more time to resume classes. Club Pilates responded warmly by returning 50% of the money and offering to freeze the account until my wife could restart.
The very next month, my wife was billed for 1 whole month PLUS a late fee!
My wife called and spoke with them numerous times, explaining her situation, only to receive a cold shoulder and demands to make payments.
One manager even told my wife, something to the effect of: she also had lost a parent, but that didn't stop her from working, and therefore my wife had no good excuse to at least call Club Pilates and keep them informed!!!??? There were many reasons why Club Pilates received no calls, aside from the obvious mental trauma, which my wife conveyed(i.e. Club Pilates wasn't on her mind), but they seemed to not want to hear about.
My wife told Club Pilates that they were not being fair, and that she would not pay. A lawsuit was initiated(one where my wife would even be required to pay for their and our attorney fees!), a collection agency called us, and our credit was affected. At that point my wife decided to pay the balance to the 'bullies' at Club Pilates. She is sad, though, that she can no longer stomach any more of the type of "journey" which Club Pilates offers.
Before you sign, read the contract! You will likely find no 'life changing event' exception, or anything remotely humane/caring in it.
Club Pilates states on their website "The instructors at Club Pilates are here to help you through every step of your Pilates journey."...sadly, it seems, only as long as the money keeps flowing.
I should have an option to give no star rating, but unlike Club Pilates, we are humane and sympathetic, so I will give the one required star anyway.

I've been going to pilates for a year and half and I really enjoy the way it is changing my body. Although it's done in a group setting, the club provides an intimate exercise experience. The instructors are creative and the staff is kind and very responsive.
