Great classes, equipment, and super affordable. And it’s not jam packed all the time so you can actually do what you want.

Not just a "church gym" this gym has free weights, weight machines, and tread mills. This is a really awesome gym for good prices.

Limited machine selection and hours. Children under 12 have to go in day care rooms even though initially they were allowed to sit in the hall and read or use iPods.

Disclaimers: I just completed a 7-day free trial at this gym, but did not renew. I have no connections to Hope Church and did not participate in any of the classes or personal training available.

First of all, Kudos to Hope Church for building a gym and opening it to the public. I admire their commitment to making a difference in the health of not just their congregation, but the general public as well. Great job!

This gym would be a great fit for someone who already attends Hope Church or lives nearby and is just getting started on their fitness journey. It offers friendly staff, reasonable hours, and very reasonable prices. ($25/mo at time of this printing) This gym offers a full set of dumbbells for weight training and the usual assortment of treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and other cardio machines (including a bowflex max trainer m7 for variety).

However, this gym is not the most convenient for the dedicated fitness buff. They are closed on Sundays, with limited hours on Saturdays as well. The treadmills and most other equipment is of the hotel workout room quality and cannot compete with the cushy rides of high end treadmill decks found at fancier gyms.

In the end, you do get what you pay for, but this gym may very well meet the needs of many who prefer simple gyms and straightforward billing over fancier gym experiences.
