Core Results is fantastic. I'm a lifelong gym-goer, but Core Results is my first time working with a personal trainer. My trainer -- Markell -- has been dialed in since Day One, starting with an assessment regarding my fitness goals. Markell is such a pro at knowing when to push and when to ease up a bit, and always keeps things interesting with exercises that I would never have known about on my own. His knowledge behind why we're doing what we're doing in the gym is impressive, as well. Every session is a little bit different, but we're always moving forward and the progress over the last few months has been awesome.
You know Core Results is great because they're the only ones who have gotten my calves to grow, despite my many solo efforts over the years. 10/10 recommend. My wife is also a Core Results client, and is just as satisfied as I am (in fact, she's the one who recommended the gym to me); we have very different fitness goals, but Core Results has been instrumental in helping us both.

I've been training with Corey at Core Results for about 18 months, and the results have been worth every penny! Plus, he’s fun to work with. I feel stronger and healthier than I have in years, including being able to wakeboard again after 5+ years of not being able to because of a bad back and shoulder. I’ve been meaning to leave a review for a while now, as I’ve been working with Kevin as my personal trainer 2-3x/week for over 4 months now. I wanted to find a place where I felt the trainers had a lot of education and experience with exercise training. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough: I started by leaving my details through their website, then received a call by the owner Aaron the same day, who speaks with you about your goals and background, and then pairs you with a trainer he thinks you’ll get on well with and who can help you meet your goals. I was paired with Kevin from the beginning, but you can have a different trainer if the initial one doesn’t work out for any reason.
You go to their private gym, which is small, but very comfortable to work out in, and the only other people there are other clients with their trainers. It’s busier at different times, of course, but never feels too crowded. I’ve seen clients of all ages and fitness levels there, too, and no one is worried about what others or doing or watching you - the culture is very positive. My training started with an initial consultation with Kevin, just to see where I was at physically and to talk more about work-out preferences and past experience. There are different contracts you can sign up for regarding number of sessions and price, and I find the cost to be very reasonable, especially given the experience of the trainers.
Working with Kevin has been an awesome experience for me, and I honestly consider him a friend now. I always look forward to my training sessions and actually feel disappointed when I’ve had to miss a session for whatever reason. It feels like I’m just going to hang out with a friend, even though I’m working out. Kevin is very knowledgeable and is helping me achieve strength goals I’ve never been able to perform before. He somehow always knows how far to push and when it’s time to start adding weight to a particular movement. I never feel too sore afterwards, but I have definitely increased in strength and seen real results. I’ve also never felt unsafe or judged, and I actually laugh a lot during sessions.
If you’re thinking about trying this place out, I say just go ahead and do it!! They’re not at all pushy or solely profit-driven, they seem to truly care about their clients having a positive experience and achieving real results. I personally wanted to start strength training to feel stronger and to prevent muscle loss as I get older, and working with Kevin has not only made me feel stronger, but more confident, and the whole experience has been good for both my physical and mental health. I’m so so grateful I found this place, and I will continue to be a client and harass Kevin multiple times a week for the foreseeable future! 😉😊

I can’t say enough about Corey Nielsen at Core Results. I am a 41 year old guy with chronic knee pain from early arthritis. I started working with Corey at my low point about nine months ago when even household chores hurt and I couldn’t go more than three days without Advil. Now I’m pain free during the day and back playing tennis. Corey has been thorough (explaining why each exercise is useful), patient (I haven’t worked out since high school) and motivating. He also helped me out with my diet which has helped a great deal. Even with the knee much better I’ll be staying on as a client for the foreseeable future.
The vibe in the gym as a whole is great. Very clean, welcoming, fun and not intimidating. I’ve also worked with Howie and he was awesome too.

I had been wanting to try strength training for a while, but was always intimidated by the gym equipment. One day after a stressful move, I pulled my back not doing anything strenuous, and decided that was it, it was time - I called and spoke to Aaron, who listened to my needs and concerns and recommended I work with Corey. It’s now been 7 months of regular training, and I feel so much stronger. I’ve always wanted to work with a personal trainer and Core Results gave me a great first experience. I’ve been improving my baseline physical fitness over this past year so I went into personal training with the goal of strengthening to prevent injury, build up my weaker muscle groups, and expand my fitness knowledge. Like many women of a certain age, my body is falling apart a bit! I came to Core Results looking mainly for accountability and consistency, two things I’m not good at when left to my own devices. I had gained too much weight, lost too much muscle, was recovering from hip surgery, and facing shoulder surgery as well. Aaron listened to my wants and needs and partnered me up with Corey. (BTW: I felt like Aaron really took the time to LISTEN to me in that initial phone call). Corey is amazing! I felt relatively experienced when it came to strength training, but man was I wrong. Corey knows everything. I’m a stickler for proper form and so is he. He has taught me so many tweaks and adjustments to ensure I’m getting the most out of my body and the exercises in a safe and effective way. He somehow manages to work me harder than I ever thought possible while not injuring me at all. He is incredibly knowledgeable and conscientious about past and present injuries. He is also sensitive to women’s unique anatomy, hormone fluctuations/changes, etc. Beyond all of that, he is also just plain FUN. I need humor to get me through tough workouts and Corey delivers on that front as well. Personal training with excellent trainers is not cheap, but both my husband and I feel this investment in my health and well-being has been well worth the investment. I just had shoulder surgery a few days ago and the surgeon was VERY impressed with how strong I’ve gotten in the four-ish months I’ve been working with Corey. Which is making my recovery much easier and faster. I can’t wait to get back in the gym with Corey once I’m cleared to do so. I am stronger, leaner and healthier than when I started and it feels wonderful!

A 5-star rating of this place is genuinely not doing it justice. Core Results has meant so much to me in my personal and fitness journey over the last year, and I am devastated to be moving away from the community that I've found myself in.
The gym itself: an incredible facility! The gym is a clean and welcoming environment. Because of its reliance on personal training, there are only 1-2 people per trainer at a time, which means the gym is never overcrowded, even during peak times. You never have to fight people for equipment, space, or trainers' attention. The trainers and other clients alike are so supportive of each others' goals and progress, and I have so enjoyed getting to be a part of that.
My trainer, Khris: an incredible trainer! I have quite literally never in my life enjoyed working out. In one year, Khris was able to help me change my entire attitude and perspective toward working out, not only in a gym environment, but also with how to incorporate the things I was learning into my day-to-day life. The only reason I am okay with the fact that I'm moving away is that I feel like Khris has prepared me so well to continue on with my fitness and health journeys. During our sessions, we talked about a number of strategies to contribute to my progress: nutrition, activity outside of work-outs, stretches and mobility training, etc. Equally as important though, I knew he was always there to support me. If I happened to have a bad session, a bad week, or went through an injury, he was always there to help me adapt and work through the rough patches physically and mentally.
I wouldn't trade my experience at Core Results for anything! If I ever find myself back in the Triangle area, even short-term, I will absolutely be signing up again.

There is a reason Core Results is unanimously five-star! This place is a dream - I feel very VIP here, and I'm not. It is the best kept exercise secret in Raleigh, hands down. Aaron has put the "personal" in training. I sought out Core Results because as a mid-50's woman, I was getting older and wasn't pushing myself in my own workouts. Personal training seemed "too fancy" for me, but I needed something different to try. After the initial screening with Aaron, I got paired up with Howie and am forever grateful. Howie is a top notch professional in every way - not only from a personal training aspect, but also with scheduling (and being flexible!) to being incredibly respectful and non-judging, to making me laugh. He makes the time fly! He is a master of rolling from one exercise to the next, always knowing what weight is good for my level, never needing to reference notes, always mixing things up, keeping it fun. There is no down time. He always sneaks in 3 muscle groups with every move! I have been going to Core Results for over a year now and no 2 workouts have ever been the same. It's always a surprise! I can't say enough good things about Howie, and Core Results. I got 2 friends to join, and they were matched up with other trainers.. they have shared the same sentiments about how awesome this place is. Parking is easy too!

I sought out Core Results almost eight months ago as a way to increase my general strength and overall well-being in a more personalized manner. After inquiring about sessions, Aaron reached out to me to better understand my history and goals in order to pair me with one of the trainers. I could not be more grateful to paired with Markell. Markell has approached our workout sessions by coaching me with clarity and challenging me to be better every week. We initially set a goal of being able to do a single un-assisted pull-up and now I’m almost at five! My performance in other workouts has also improved greatly due to our workouts. I’ve truly never felt stronger and more confident in my body’s abilities. Markell’s work doesn’t just stop in the gym. I will never forget how he showed such kindness and encouragement before a work health screening, sending a quick text just making sure I knew that numbers weren’t everything and to remember how far I had come. Everyone at Core Results has been an absolute joy to work with! Aaron was so helpful and attentive in getting me set up with a trainer that'd be a good fit for me and he certainly did not let me down! He set me up with Noel who has been an absolute joy to work with! He has also been very attentive to my goals and interests regarding my fitness and has been able to offer an added perspective to my training, as he is in his last year of PT school! I've been going to Core Results for about four months and have had an incredible experience.
As a young professional with a fairly sedentary office job, I wanted to take steps early on to improve physical health and build good habits for the future. Trying things on my own was not producing much change, so I started seeking recommendations for gyms and trainers.
Core Results was the first place I visited--and I didn't have to look any further! The trainers work specifically and individually with each client. Not only do they build fitness programs catered to each individual's goals, they also build personal relationships with their clients. The gym itself is well-maintained and organized: the only people in there are trainers and clients (no individual folks just wandering around).
On one occasion, my trainer had a last-minute conflict. But as I was about to leave, another trainer approached me and asked if I'd like him to throw together a quick circuit for me, just so I could get some activity in. Within minutes, he figured out where I was physically, put together some exercises, and got me a full workout prepared, all while also helping his own client!
Over the past few months, I've already seen great progress in terms of physical strength, but more importantly I've built great habits and good relationships with the folks there. I'm grateful for the excellent community that Core Results has created.

I'm a competitive fencer, and I've been training with Raymond for about a year. He's great at checking form to avoid injury and get the most from each exercise. With his expertise in martial arts, he understands what movements and muscles I need at my disposal. He's a good motivator and changes the workouts up to keep it interesting. The gym itself is clean, friendly, and never over-crowded. This is my first experience with a personal trainer, and they made me feel right at home very quickly. I look forward to my time there!
Update 6/22/23: I'm still training with Raymond years later, which is a testament to what he has done for me. I have won numerous medals- including at the national level- in no small part due to his help. He also trained me through my entire pregnancy and got me back into shape afterwards. I felt completely safe and very strong. Core Results went out of their way to take care of their clients during the pandemic, and they are continuously updating their equipment. I have also had sessions with Aaron, the owner, and very recently with Markell. Both were excellent. Markell has a lot of knowledge about training athletes and had challenging yet fun workouts planned. I will happily work with him anytime. I still look forward to my time here each week!

I'm now 58 years old and stronger than I was in my 20's. Flexibility, endurance and overall fitness have improved dramatically. They care as much about your fitness if not more than you do. If you’re serious about getting back into shape this is the place! Howie Patterson has been working with me and his professionalism, knowledge and friendship have inspired me to continue to improve my overall well being. Recently, Core Results changed ownership. At first I was concerned things might change. Things have changed and for the better I'm happy to say. Sparing no expense there is now 2 ply toilet paper in the bathrooms, new artwork on the walls, and the roomba is operating at warp speed. During your workout you'll be inspired by the music of Captain and Tennille, Peaches and Herb, the Carpenters and the never ending hits of Will Smith. Out of 5 stars Core Results is a 10! Seriously, I was old, lazy, soft, tired but I knew I had to change. This is the ONLY place to change who you are, IMO!

He is incredibly attentive to details, provides the most solid workouts catered to me - changing them up enough to where I don’t get bored but repeating the exercises needed to prove/show progress. I can't say enough good things about Core Results Raleigh. I've been working with Howie for about 10 months. In that time, I've gotten stronger, discovered muscles I didn't know I had, completely eliminated my back pain through increased core strength, and experienced a huge boost in my self-confidence. Being in my early 70’s, I feel both privileged and fortunate to be on the receiving end of all Core Results has to offer! I have been coming to Core Results for 10+ years. When they reopened their doors after Covid, my former trainer did not return, thus Aaron became my trainer. My experience working with him has been so exceptional and so beneficial to my overall health that I’ve now transitioned from working 2x a week with him to 3x a week - twice a week at the Raleigh location and once a week at the Cary location. Though slightly different in size and positive vibe, both locations are equally outstanding!
Aaron’s knowledge and love of not only his vocation but also his clients, is evidenced in his professional knowledge and training skills, his genuine interest in me and my needs, his close attention to developing a varied personalized plan for me - unique to my “getting older” needs and goals, and his training style with its perfect blend of challenge, encouragement, affirmation, ever-present and difference-making small tweaks in my form, and lastly - MAJOR RESULTS! There’s a marked difference in my physical strength, endurance, balance, energy, and mental sharpness (plus, the bonus of looking better)! My dad had a stroke in 2015. That prompted me to want to up my fitness routine and make sure I was making the best use of my time. Previously I had just been doing a lot of cardio, but knew that I needed to start incorporating strength training into my workouts.
Core results has really helped me accomplish this while teaching me good form and keeping the workouts fun and fresh! Having a personal trainer has been the ultimate accountability partner. There is someone there waiting for me to workout whether I feel totally up to it or not. Lastly, the "personal" in personal training has been really helpful. They are able to work around several orthopedic issues (knees/lower back) and still provide robust workouts. In fact, my lower back pain has gotten much better with strengthening my core and posterior chain, exactly as they said it would.
The environment is not intimidating. There are lots of friendly faces, making this a great place to embark on one's journey to health. If you are considering investing in yourself, in this way, Core Results is an awesome partner. That is why I have remained a client for the last 8 years. I would not hesitate to give them a call.

I’ve been going to Core Results and working with David since fall 2022. It’s the first time I’ve worked one-on-one with a trainer, and I have had a great experience. David knows his stuff, and he has met me where I am with my fitness level. He mixes it up from session to session, so I never feel like I’m in a rut (and his PT background comes in handy when I have random aches and pains). The facility has all the equipment you would need for a complete workout and is always clean and well-maintained.

Before Core Results i have not had good experiences with gym trainers but my trainer David is the best. I have been the him about a month so far and my experience has been great. The workouts are definately challenging but doable. He is patient with me and encourages me to power through when i want to give up. I love the fact he is PT he always makes sure my form is correct and is mindful of my injuries. I look forward to working out now David definately makes it a fun experience. I've been going to Core Results Raleigh for over 18months now training with Howie. My experience has been awesome. Howie is a very knowledgeable trainer always making sure I'm doing my exercises in the correct form and technique. His workouts are challenging but encouraging. Howie has helped me built my strength, stability, endurance, overall fitness and exercise at a level I never even thought possible for me. Even though I have some issues with my knees, he always finds the right exercise for me. He always comes up with something different to push me to my full potential. Throughout my entire time there, he was extremely communicative (both within and outside of sessions) and always pushed me to meet the goals I had set for myself in a very realistic and compassionate way. I’ve used numerous personal trainers from private facilities to local gyms and Core Results is by far the best organization I’ve found. I did have a rocky start with a trainer that I didn’t click with and with a quick e-mail to Josh, the owner; I was able to change trainers. I retired last year from a sedentary, demanding career and knew I wanted to work on fitness. I wasn't sure about Core Results going in--I thought I should be able to do this on my own. My wife has been a client for a long time, though (and it's done wonders for her) and really wanted me to try it. After meeting Aleks and having one session with her I knew this was the right way for me to go. She is awesome! I have had two hip replacements and she is very knowledgeable at focusing workouts to meet my needs. I'm amazed at the progress--I'm in the best shape I've been in in over 30 years. I've lost 25 pounds and am much more flexible. My family noticed that I'm getting up and down off the floor to play with the grandchildren with ease--very different from past years! Aleks has given me solid nutrition advice which has paid off. She makes the workouts fun even when hard and is great to talk to--the hour flies by. Core Results has great equipment and I like the open space and that there's usually 2-3 other people here at most. I highly recommend Aleks and Core Results. Great results, great team!

I have been training with Catie since June and have been loving it. The facility that Core Fitness has is very nice and you don't feel judged while working out there. It is nice that you can only be there if you are working with a trainer because it ensures equipment is available and only a small number of people are at the gym. Joined about a year ago. I was suffering from chronic pain on my neck and upper back from working long hours, and couldn't quite get myself to stick to a gym schedule. I met with Josh, who runs the place, we had a nice conversation over what I'm trying to achieve, and he paired me with Howie.
Howie is fantastic. He is calm, goes over each exercise in detail to help you get it right, only encourages you with positive feedback, and switches things up every now and then during the sessions so as to keep them from being boring. Thanks to our sessions, the chronic pain is a thing of the past *and* my overall fitness level is better than it's ever been. The whole process was not intimidating at all, and I actually enjoyed every minute of it. I was looking forward to going there! (This is doubly remarkable given that I am not really the kind of person that enjoys physical exercise.)
I was so pleased with the whole experience, that two months in, I encouraged my girlfriend to join. (She did, trains with Howie as well, and shares the same sentiment.)
Everybody here, from owner to trainers to clients, is polite and professional, and the place is clean and quiet - I absolutely *love* the fact that it's not a place full of gym bros. If you're on the fence, I highly encourage you to give Core Results a go. It was a fantastic investment for my health; I actually regret not giving it a go sooner.

I've been with Core Results for almost 2.5 years and love going. Raymond is an awesome personal trainer! I was so nervous calling in the first time. I wasn't toned, hadn't worked out in a while, and wasn't sure I was ready, but took the leap. It was worth it! Raymond gives me positive compliments, tips for stretching and exercises throughout the workout, and counts your reps ;). I have trimmed down in weight and toned my muscle much more than if I were training alone. Although I have attended any, the group often runs races together as a Core results team as well. I started going to Core Results about two years ago. I knew I was out of shape, and I wanted to fix that, but I didn't have a particularly good idea how to.
Core Results has lived up to its name and then some. Over the past two years, my trainer Aaron has done a phenomenal job; as I've gone from generically "getting in shape" to setting weight goals and strength goals, Aaron's designed great programs, and I've gone from fatiguing quickly and struggling on light weights to being able to do heavy weight sets and go on long runs. Throughout the process, Aaron has helped me push myself incredibly hard, but always with calm attentiveness, and never with the kind of drill-sergeant attitude I've seen in other gyms. And that seems typical of what I've seen from all of the trainers are Core Results: they're firm but encouraging, listening well to their clients and being careful to make sure you've got great form, not just strength.
Beyond that, the gym itself is small and quiet, and the trainer-only nature means you're never dealing with people hogging equipment or using the gym to socialize. Where in the past I'd struggled to go to the gym *despite* the environment, I now find I enjoy going to the gym in part *for* the environment.
If you're looking to get in shape, or to become stronger, or to increase your endurance, I can really heartily recommend Core Results.

This is the best personal training organization I have found in Raleigh. You're immediately partnered with a trainer who takes the time to get to know you and your needs. While you're there, your trainer is always working with you so you don't have to worry about your form or even what to do next. I’ve been going to Core Results for a couple months now and I couldn’t be happier. I joined because I needed the motivation. I have trouble keeping a workout routine on my own, even if I think I’m ready to commit. Having appointments with a trainer keeps me accountable. I see Whitney twice a week and she’s awesome. I have no experience with strength training and she makes me feel extremely comfortable. She motivates without pushing me past my limits. She’s also just full of knowledge and explains why different exercises are good for different things. Yes, personal training is way more expensive than a gym membership, but you pay for what you get. And for me, I was paying for a gym membership I barely used. The workout is completely personalized so I think Core Results is a great option regardless of your experience or goals, but the guidance has been especially helpful for this novice.

Regarding the gym, it's upscale, clean, uncrowded, and has top-notch equipment. Showers, too. Regarding my trainer: I've been working with Aleksandra for 3-4 years, and she's by far the best trainer I've ever had. She's incredibly knowledgable, organized, disciplined, and motivating. I've suffered through a few injuries during my time with her (my fault, not hers!), and she's been incredibly helpful in helping me recover and get back my fitness. As a bonus, Aleks is a fantastic runner (former pro) and has been very supportive in advising me on my running goals. Five stars for her and the gym!

I would highly recommend Core Results. Because they only open the gym to clients who are working with a trainer, the gym is never crowded - since I've been working out there, I don't think there has ever been more than 3-4 people working out at once. Very satisfied customer here! I started going to Core Results three months ago. My goals were all over the place (Lose weight! Flatter stomach! Smaller waist!) but after the first (very thorough) meetings with Josh and then with my trainer Raymond, I realized my real goal was to not have age and my sedentary lifestyle limit my ability to enjoy life and take care of myself and my family. I turn 60 this month and figured aches and pains, not being able to do as much, were inevitable, along with the lack of coordination, slumpy posture, etc. that I’d always had.
And then I started working with Raymond. His knowledge of how the body works is incredibly vast, especially how minor changes in movement can produce huge improvement in ability. I’ve never gotten this level of instruction and education from any gym, doctor, etc. He explains WHY my balance is off, WHY my movement had become stiff and klutzy over time, and has a variety of workouts for every issue. His feedback is never critical—he focuses on what I need to do differently, not what I’m doing wrong. And he’s easy to talk to, respectful, great sense of humor—all qualities that make working out fun and not a chore to get through. I trust that if I’m having an issue that day (arthritis flare-up, etc), he can find other workouts to compensate so I never feel like I wasted my time. The gym is small but very well-equipped and since there’s never more than 2-3 people, if that, at one time, it feels spacious. There’s never any “judge-y” vibe, which makes trying new things easier.
Personal trainers aren’t cheap, but before Core Results, I was spending $$ on a gym membership I’d stopped using, equipment that just sat around, books on fitness that sat on the shelf. What I’ve gained: daily aches and pains have decreased at least by half if not more. I have more energy, travel more, and am more confident I won’t injure myself. I don’t get as tired from a busy day. I don’t avoid stairs or carrying heavy things (and grandkids) like I did before. I finally understand proper posture and how to make my body work the way I want it to. People tell me I look like I lost weight and that I look younger, from improved posture, flexibility, and mobility (and from strength training starting to show some welcome body sculpting). I’m not afraid of aging like I used to be. That’s well worth it to me.

A great facility full of great trainers! I've been working out with James Shore for around for 6 months, and every workout has been unique. I've always struggled with enjoying lifting. The average routine would be fine for a month or so, but then I would lose the motivation. James has been able to identify what motivates me, and build out routines that keep me excited and looking forward to the next workout. I've made massive improvements on all my major lifts, and have never been happier with my progress. If you are considering a trainer, seriously consider Core Results.

I have been training with Core Results for 2.5 years and couldn't be happier. This facility has several trainers available to meet your needs. I've seen clients training to lose weight, improve athletic performance, rehab old injuries, or older folks out to prevent deconditioning. The gym is small, but equipped with just about everything you would need. The space is for the trainers only, so you are not working around other gym members texting or taking a selfies on the equipment. I have been working with Ray during my time there and have seen great improvement in fat loss and increased muscle mass. The trainers keep you accountable, provide great advice on how best to achieve your goals, and provide workout tips you can take home to do on your own. It's not infomercial magic and just showing up to a few sessions each week isn't going to turn you into a model. However, if you have a fitness goal you can't seem to meet and need help, motivation, accountability ... then Core Results is worth it.

I have been training at Core Results since June 2015 and am very pleased with every aspect of the experience. The gym is not particularly large, but it is well equipped, clean and open. There are all levels of clients there, from the extremely fit to those just starting out with a fitness program. The training for each client seems to be unique to the individual’s needs and goals. I have been training with James from the beginning of my time at Core Results and I think he is great. He is personable and knowledgeable. He insists that exercises be done the correct way and with the correct form. I had come from a gym where this was not so much the case and I appreciate James’s emphasis on this aspect of training because it prevents injuries. My workouts are challenging and varied, always well thought out, never boring. I have definitely seen improvements in my fitness and strength over these past few months. And, while James is awesome, I think that the other trainers are good as well. They each have a slightly different slant to their workouts, but I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them. In short, if you are considering going the personal trainer route, I would highly recommend Core Results.

Highly recommended! There's nothing fancy about Core Results, but that's good, because there's nothing fancy about me either. It sits in a nondescript office building downtown and is quite small, however, they have everything you need including awesome people. I have been working out with James since November and I can't say enough good things about him. He is very knowledgeable about everything fitness related and can easily supply the "why" behind everything we do. James pushes me when I need it and is reassuring when I fail. Is it expensive? Yes, yes it is, but this is a personal trainer we're talking about. For two hours every week there's a person whose only job is to help me reach my goals; it's hard to put a price on that. He also keeps me from winding up in a Workout Fails compilation on YouTube which is priceless. If you are looking for someplace to see and be seen they might not be for you, but if you are looking for a laid-back, supportive and goal oriented environment to workout in then give them a try.

When I called Core Results Inc. over 6 years ago I was at my lowest self esteem and highest weight. Josh called me back within an hour and we talked about what my goals were and set up the initial free session.

I took the initial 6 classes and found it to be very effective and motivating. James is very friendly, highly motivating and down to earth person. He has helped me get back to my workout routine with more motivation. He also looks closely at my weekly nutrition intake. He has always helped me go that extra mile. I had plateaued doing high intensity interval training. I came to Core Results with a specific request to get stronger. James set up a program that has done just that. Results are tracked and every exercise has a purpose. There is focus on doing exercises correctly and understanding which muscle groups are being worked. Aleks is a professional who knows her stuff! She makes things interesting for me and keeps me accountable - two things I needed as part of a fitness plan. My core strength has increased considerably - I can do "real" pushups :), almost 3-minute plank, have lost weight, my clothes fit better, running 2.5 miles, and I just feel good after every session. There are many great things about Core Results. My trainer, Aleksandra, is fantastic. She makes every workout challenging, but keeps the atmosphere encouraging and makes me laugh. She plans all my workouts for the week (both in the gym and out), taking my schedule into account so I don't have an excuse to not exercise.
I am so pleased with my progress and success at meeting my goals. I met my initial goals far quicker than I anticipated and am looking forward to progressing toward my revised goals. Overall, Core Results far exceeded my expectations. I have been working out off-and-on for more than 20 years, but always on programs that I designed myself or obtained from a book or magazine. I thought I was pretty knowledgeable about fitness and didn't need a personal trainer. If I wasn't getting results, I blamed it on low motivation or on "life" getting in the way. After the birth of my second child, my usual exercise routine had no chance of working. It was too long and too many sets. Although I knew how to "exercise", I didn't know how to prioritize to get the most benefit from the limited time I had available to workout.
When I scheduled my first session with Josh at Core Results, I expected to get a few small tips for making my workouts better. Instead, I got so much more. After assessing my goals and my "starting point", Josh designed a comprehensive program that would not only help me toward my fitness and health goals, but would also correct some lingering sports-related injuries. He designed the program using some of the most current practices, allowing me to get a more effective workout in half the time! Not only did he design an effective program, but he instructed me on the rationale behind every piece of the program and explained why he chose each exercise (and how to modify it over time as needed).
Over the years, I had accumulated a bunch of conflicting recommendations from those books and magazines, and Josh helped simplify my routine so that I was focusing on the "big rocks" that make up my health (rather than wasting time on the pebbles that are ineffective or unnecessary). Although I went to Core Result primarily for an exercise plan, I also received an understandable and sustainable plan for nutrition (two qualities that are sometime difficulty to find in an eating plan).
An efficient and effective training program, a sustainable nutrition plan, and clear answers to every fitness question I could think of. I can't recommend Josh (and all of Core Results) enough!

I had plantar fasciitis surgery 4 years ago to releave incredible pain in both my feet. I had done everything my doctor told me to do and wore my orthotics religiously. I had been an avid hiker and was not able to do the smallest walks. Yoga did help but I couldn't do it everyday. This situation worsened when my knees started hurting and I was unable to go up any stairs. The doctors gave me injections and knee braces, I also went to physical therapy. That did not help. After visiting my parents, both of whom can not walk I decided that this was not going to be in my future if I could help it. My husband found Core results on Angie's list and I called. Because of my specific knee and foot problems Josh assigned me to Eric Johnson, a former soccer player. I went to my first session 7 months ago and started going once a week. My feet and knees were improving, slowly. I finally bit the bullet and started going twice a week. I am so glad that I am doing this now. I can once again go up stairs, my legs and feet are getting stronger and I feel much better in general. Yoga has also improved. Eric is a wonderful trainer. He knows what I can do with my level of strength and challenges me. We are also going to start working on cardio since I have become so out of shape. I highly recommend this facility for anyone that needs this type of rehab, or just to become more fit. I'm sure the other clients feel the same since I see the same people every week. My mom and I started going to Core Results with Eric about three months before my wedding. Eric gave us a nutrition program and workouts to do on days when we were not there with him. Eric is great at adapting exercises to fit our needs and he does a great job of pushing us to be better while keeping us comfortable at the same time. We keep track of our exercises each session, so I can look back see tangible results over the past year that I have been working out with Eric. I should not forget to mention that I have drastically increased my muscle mass and feel so much better than I did before. Since Eric tailors the workouts to our needs, my hour of working out with Eric maximizes my time and I have overall increased my physical abilities (muscle mass, cardio and flexibility) so much more than I would have at a conventional gym.
The gym itself is clean and all of the equipment is top-notch. There is a shower and lockers for the women (and I assume the same for the men). I've been going there for a year, and even when there are a couple of different people working with different trainers I've never felt crowded. All in all, a great experience for workouts twice a week. I highly recommend Eric and Core Results!

I called Josh to help me with some hip issues and was incredibly impressed by his knowledge and experience. I'd spent some time in a gym before but not that much. Josh was easy and fun to work with and I never felt awkward or embarrassed, as I had sometimes before. The facility is well equipped yet comfortable and the trainers do a good job of working around each other as they are working with you. An excellent one-on-one experience with highly trained professionals with great attitudes. Highly recommended!

I started my journey with Josh at Core Results in 2007. I went in that first day simply wanting a six week “get fit” plan to shed some pounds and get in shape and here I am 6 years later continuing my workouts with Josh! I love the fact that I have a plan and don’t have to think about what to do in the gym – Josh takes care of that. Depending upon what my goals are at the time (they change every so often because who doesn’t fall off the wagon on occasion, right?) he modifies my workouts to suit my goals. I also do triathlon and when I started doing those races, he focused my workouts to help specifically with swimming, running and biking and it MADE A DIFFERENCE! I got stronger and faster. When my focus is on fat and weight loss – he gives me feedback on my food journals and it never fails, whenever I go on what I call “the Josh plan,” I lose the weight and feel better. Forget the gimmicky stuff. Just in these past 6 weeks I got focused again and have lost both pounds and inches. I’ve seen Josh 2-3 times a week for the past six years and it is a priority to me. Health and fitness impact daily life, stress, attitude, etc. and if budget is ever an issue I’ll give up shoe shopping if I have to in order to make sure I get my work outs done!! One last thing – all the trainers at Core Results are great. I’ve seen several of them when Josh is out on vacation and I would recommend them all. They care about the clients and their goals. My husband and I love working out with Josh. He is extremely knowledgable on fitness and nutrition, yet makes the workout fun. If I were left to my own devices, I might not make it to the gym; or when I did, the workout would probably be the same dull workout every time. But Josh keeps it challenging and rewarding! I have been training with Core results for a year or so and it has been an excellent experience. My trainer Aaron Hornstra pushes me every day and I have seen incredible improvements in my muscle growth. Jenna is very knowledgeable, very motivated, well-organized, and easy to work with one-on-one. She is able to tailor the workouts to your specific goals and target/ problem areas. And then, you see results.

I have been working out at Core Results (with Josh Hutchins) for about 4 years. I love being in a private gym. No loud club music and muscle heads walking around trying to pick up every female. The trainers are focused on giving you a good workout and making sure you are performing each exercise accurately so that you get the most benefit. I have had hip surgery and a broken arm and we were able to work through both recoveries without much of a loss in strength or fitness. I cycle and run and Josh has made sure that I am fit and ready and injury free for all of my events.

I have been going to Josh at Core Results for nearly 2.5 years now. I love the personalized workouts that I get, and the knowledge and expertise that a personalized trainer brings to any exercise regimen. The facility is top notch, always clean and extremely convenient.
When I came to Core Results I was just aiming to lose some weight and tone, but over time my needs and goals have changed and what I love is that whatever goals I set (or we set together) Josh works with me to achieve them, motivates me to stay on track and (probably, for me most importantly) all completely injury free. I feel healthier and stronger than I was in my 20s and 30s.
Last year I decided to run my first half marathon. I had never really run before and I was concerned that doing so at 40+ after having 3 kids would be difficult to do, especially without injury. It was an amazing training experience throughout. I completed the half marathon in November at a better time than I expected, felt great and NO INJURIES, thanks to the great cross training at Core Results. Now I'm planning to run another in May... all the while still working on my range of motion, strength and overall fitness.

I have had shoulder issues for years and have never been able to work out consistently. Josh took all this in to account during our consult and was able to construct a work out that has allowed me to finally incorporate more strength training in my routine. I have worked with trainers before and no one has been able to give the attention to detail and personal goals that I get at Core Results. The facility is top notch. I spent 11 years involved in the military and once out started packing on the pounds and completely lost the motivation to exercise. Last Fall I decided to get back into shape for fitness. I wanted to work on core fitness, get rid of the spare tire, gain strength, etc...The owner called me in the same day as my request, discussed options and what type of trainer was I looking for. Jenna Bremiller met with me in person the following week, gave me a tour and we did a light workout. I can say that I actually like going to the gym. Core Results is a small family on the days I attend. Same folks, same time. Jenna keeps making the workouts challenging and pushed just enough every day to get about all I can give and then a little more. It is always exhausting but very satisfying to finish a workout. I have seen little successes almost weekly. My two girls 10 and 12 years old are disappointed in that Dad's "Cuddle" is gone. I highly recommend Core Results regardless of your body make up.

Josh took the time to research and understand my medical condition and then build a personalized workout which allowed me to become more active and begin getting back into shape. I found Core Results in July 2012 after looking at all of the different options out there including CrossFit, Planet Fitness, Fitness Connection, etc. I was surprised to get a call back from the owner himself and he offered me a free consultation. After meeting Josh Hutchins and taking a tour, etc I realized I'd found a trainer I could trust. For me I was actually looking to gain weight while also working on core areas that would benefit my golf game. The fact that Josh is TPI Certified made all of this worth while. Over the past 6 months, working out normally 2-3 days a week, I've seen considerable results. I've gained 8 lbs., which probably would be more if i'd have kept to a stricter diet, and I've seen a much more stronger and stable golf swing. The workouts constantly change so it never gets boring. Josh makes it fun and exciting to go to the gym. He pushes you to a point and normally past that. For anyone looking for a complete workout with an excellent group of trainers, Core Results is the place for you.

I've worked out at other personal training facilities in Raleigh and this is the BEST!!! The facility is clean its spotless and very well maintained its run by someone who cares the owner Josh Hutchins. The equipment is top notch.I must give a huge shout out to my trainer Raymond Desmarais he's the reason I'm in the best shape of my life. My training experience with Jenna Bremiller!!
Jenna Bremiller has been my personal trainer since 2009 and within this time frame she has always maintained a very professional work attitude with a tad bit of an entertaining personality.
Professionally, Jenna is organized, extremely competent and knowledgeable, always on time, work outs are always preplan and thought out, workouts are always designed for my specific goals in mind, and monthly assessments are performed to review and reexamine my goals to maintain by fitness level.
Personally, Jenna is stern but yet always motivational, professional but yet always entertaining. The workouts are exciting and new and always filled with variety, something to look forward to…not to dredge. She has an excellent rapport with her follow trainers and for others around her.
I would highly recommend Jenna to anyone who might seek to pursue working with a personal trainer. She has always made look forward to working out. She has made working out a pleasure instead of a chore.

I hate to work out and seriously lack motivation. I work with Jenna because she keeps me motivated to get to the gym. She's flexible to meet my needs. I've been to trainers in the past who felt the only way to keep me happy was to mix it up and try new things and that doesn't interest me. I want to learn how to do an excercise well and concentrate on repetition and on not hurting myself learning "choreography" or complex moves. She found some great core and basic exercises and made me a routine that works for me. She's still on the look out for new moves that I can try as my strength and flexibility improve. If I need her to find an alternative exercise she does. I appreciate a lot that she listens to me and helps me listen to my body. But I know if I need something new she can deliver.
Jenna is very reliable and supportive. I appreciate her positive attitude and personalized service for my training needs. My work schedule and childcare needs sometimes messes with my training, but she's always willing to work with me to find a time to get together. She even offers to give me routines to follow when I have to travel out of town.
Due to life changes I had to stop meeting for several months and when I was ready to start again I came back to Jenna. She's fun to work with.
