After trying other CrossFit gyms, I have to say I was a bit skeptical when my friend persuaded me to try CrossFit Chapel Hill. But, after a few classes I could tell that this one was special. It’s not just a gym, it’s a community of awesome people who support each other no matter your age, fitness level or goals. The instructors are excellent and take the time to train the movements with careful attention to proper technique. And the owners, Morgan and Mike, are engaged with members, either next to you doing the workout, instructing or just checking in to see how you are doing. It’s a pretty cool vibe.

Finding a good gym when you move somewhere is one of my non-negotiables, as it always helps a new place feel more like home. And that couldn’t be any more true with CFCH! The coaches are all so personable and attentive, and make class challenging but FUN! I’ve gotten stronger and more confident in my time at this gym and gained some awesome friendships along the way. I came to the triangle area in early 2019, and knew that I have to fine a gym, and fast. I checked a few CF boxes, but once I came along CFCH and Morgan, it was a done deal.
As a guy who works from home, CFCH have become my second home, and my community in the Triangle. The people - both the staff and the trainees, are the best people I could have hoped to call friends. I'm thankful for them!
As for the gym itself - the programming is absolutely perfect, and the coaches will know how to customize the workout to each trainee if needed. My results have jumped at least 150% in one year compared to the progress I've made in 3 whole years in the previous gym. The staff is super professional and open for suggestions. Morgan and Mike are very communicative and kind, and just make you wanna go to the gym and hangout.
If you're at the Triangle or arriving soon - that's the place you've been looking for!

I've been working out at CrossFit Chapel Hill for a few months- It's an awesome and supportive community, and l've met many wonderful people there-Their coaches have been extremely accommodating, supportive and knowledgeable - They have a wide selection of equipment that is well maintained- l have had lots of challenges recently, and the non profit CARES, and Power Hour and community have been a tremendous help through them- l've worked out in dozens of fitness spaces and there's been nothing quite like CrossFit Chapel Hill⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My wife and I just did the private fundamentals trainings and our first normal group class here. Owner/Trainer Morgan was awesome to work with. We also spoke briefly with another trainer, Kelsey. Both of them (and the community in general) were great about making beginners feel welcome and helping to scale lifts/exercises to your current abilities. This was great for us coming in with little experience. I highly recommend CrossFit Chapel Hill!

Dropped in for a class here and was very impressed. Was welcomed warmly by the coach (Emily) immediately upon walking in. Emily led the class from start to finish. I was happy to see that they used CAP for programming which allows for space in the coaches timeline to coach and make people move better. It was encouraged to cheer others on if you finished the workout early which is a a wonderful part of the CrossFit culture that I was happy to see implemented. Being a level 3 coach on seminar staff, I am impressed with how this gym is run and how they clearly care about quality coaching. My partner and I are nomads. We have been to CrossFit gyms all over the US and even to one in Europe. In the past year alone we have visited nine CrossFit boxes. So if anyone should be able to evaluate a gym that would be us…
CrossFit Chapel Hill gets five stars. The coaches are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, their culture is healthy and the facilities are top-notch.
In our opinion, what really makes a box special is the community. We found the coaches and their crews to be open and friendly. The community here is flourishing. And this has a lot to do with the owner and head coach who is kind, knowledgeable, humble and cares a lot about the quality of experience she and her coaches provide to their crews.
If you are in the Durham- Chapel Hill area and are looking for a CrossFit gym, look no further, this is the place.
One last thing I’ll say is that we’ve been to more than one gym in the Durham- Chapel Hill area and when we come back, this will be the one we return to.

CFCH was the first box I ever visited and I'm so glad I did. I had been curious about Crossfit but a lot of the things I had heard sounded intimidating.
The coaches and members at CFCH are just some of the best folks I've met in the area. The leadership is knowledgeable and welcoming. No one takes themselves too seriously and everyone supports each other building new skills, strength and greater competency in a range of movements.
I love just showing up and it's like this is what we are doing today. I may not like it or be any good at it. But I get a solid workout and the coaches provide a range of options and accommodations so each athlete can build up their skills. And the best part is having friends at the gym working through the same WOD grinning, sometimes gripping and always growing together.

This is a great gym with a true sense of community. There is a good mix of hardcore athletes, college kids, older athletes, and plenty of people just getting started with lifting. The coaches do a good job of adjusting the workouts to your level of fitness. Each class works out together which is super motivating compared to big box gyms. Give it a try!

Owners and coaches at this gym really care about their athletes. Very open to feedback, they pay close attention to beginners to “RX” athletes in coaching them on technique and advising on how to scale properly. They care about your personal improvement versus “sending it” all the time. A great community to become a part of to become physically healthy! Miss this place!

The programming at CrossFit Chapel Hill is amazing! Most workouts include a strength portion and a conditioning portion, so you're left feeling sufficiently gassed and ready to attack the day. The workouts also build on each other over a period of a few weeks, so if you're a regular member, you can see the progression. But even if you're dropping in, you're still going to get a solid workout in. I've been with CrossFit Chapel Hill for a little over 3 years now and so enjoy the community that I've developed. And that says a lot, because I'm usually at the 6am class half awake. I have grown from the instruction of all the coaches and really enjoyed the relationships that I've developed with them. The owners, Morgan and Mike, are so great and I'm thankful to call them friends.

CrossFit Chapel Hill is definitely more than a gym! The coaches and members have become a community of encouragers, inspirers, and advisors! Coming to college, I wanted to find a gym that compared to my home gym back in Greensboro. Morgan and the other coaches at CFCH welcomed me with open arms at this gym. This is the community that I want to go to before/after a long day of classes. The programming and coaching is top tier as I enjoy how they modify to fit your skills. Work has me traveling often so it’s nice finding a box to drop into even during these times. Morgan was so kind and accommodating! The whole atmosphere was great, felt at home. This is a really fun and adaptive gym. They give a great period of instruction if you are new to CrossFit for every class and they ensure that you can do the exercises properly while not wasting way too much time going through examples. The gym hosts a very cohesive and diverse community of patrons and engenders a great team-oriented atmosphere. I highly recommend this gym for anyone that is new to CrossFit or veterans. Home gym is Crossfit Hogtown and dropped in while in town. The staff and members couldn't be friendlier. The gym was packed but they made room for me and the vibe was wonderful. If you need a place to drop in, this is the perfect choice! I was going for a squat weight/rep scheme I had never hit and one of the girls saw me setting up to video and even offered to help.

CFCH is the best! I have worked out at 3 other crossfit gyms over the last few years and this gym and its owners/coaches are the best quality and most fun by far. The programming is well thought out and you can feel and see significant improvements in your strength and abilities as you progress through the cycles. Everyone is supportive and the staff makes an effort to introduce everyone, make people feel welcome, and be inclusive with social events outside the gym; I find this to be one of the biggest things that sets this gym apart from other crossfits. I was hesitant to join a crossfit gym because of the stereotypes surrounding it. However, after taking advantage of the free week here, it was obvious that this specific gym didn't suffer from some of the more negative ones I was worried about. Instead, I found a place full of people who were supportive, hard-working, and good at what they do. I can always feel challenged here, but I can also always feel supported if I need to take a break or slow down.
Having gone to this gym for 6 months now, I feel like I am a part of a strong and happy community of people who share a lot of my ideas for what's important in a gym and in life in general. I'm very glad I tried this gym, and I feel lucky to get to keep going every week.

So far, my daughter, husband, friend, and I have all joined CrossFit Chapel Hill because of the community and support. I'm more fat than fit while my husband is in great shape and we are both challenged to do our best. This is a great place to do a boot camp (where I began) or be serious about fitness while being surrounded by a great group of people. Workouts are hard and coaches are wonderful.

Crossfit gyms (or "boxes" as they are called) these days are proliferating like mad. Justifiably so, as doing Crossfit is a fantastic way to get yourself into the best shape of your life.
What differentiates the various gyms is less the fancy environment (a Crossfit "box" is generally pretty minimalist), or high tech equipment, but the quality of the instruction.
Having been to quite a few Crossfit gyms, Crossfit Chapel Hill has the best instruction by a long shot. The combination of very experienced instructors and their integration of "Zfit" techniques is a great blend. You can get hurt in Crossfit if you don't do it right, and CFCH does a great job of making sure that doesn't happen.
If you're new to Crossfit, this is the place to start. If you're experienced, you'll probably learn something new.
No matter what, it's a great community. I can't recommend them highly enough.
