I know staff and others have seen this because the bathrooms have been taken care of like toilet paper and soaps but this is still here. No issues about the gym I just ask for all gyms and the gym goers please positive hygiene

I have been a member of Elite Fitness for over two years, and I have never experienced such terrible customer service. I received a call from one of their representatives who was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of listening or trying to help, he immediately threatened to send me to collections. Completely unacceptable behavior for a company that expects loyalty from its members. I am reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and will be canceling my membership. Avoid this gym if you want to be treated with respect.

I am so grateful that this gym exists. I am a single mom and I work very hard by myself all of the time. That said, I am EXTREMELY protective over my son. When I got to the gym I was nervous leaving my son in the play area at first, but was desperate to have some “me” time so I cautiously gave it a try. I feel so incredibly confident in their daycare location that I am able to just relax and decompress getting in a good workout. That brings me to the gym itself. It’s extremely clean, the staff is so friendly, they have a wide scope of equipment, really nice little rooms if you don’t want to be around a ton of people, classes if you do, and everything in between! My personal favorite part is the sauna which completes my workout and really grounds me back to a calm state that I desperately need after working and taking care of a little guy. 10/10 would recommend!!!!!!

I’ve been coming to this gym for a while now, and I can honestly say it’s been a game-changer for me. The equipment is always clean and up to date, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the vibe is always motivating. I’ve been going to Elite since May 2024. The gym itself and the equipment offered is top notch for anyone focusing on their health and fitness ranging from standard free weights to machines and cable racks, there isn’t anything that’s missed. Along with an excellent selection of cardio equipment. Locker rooms are excellent and well kept, the gym itself is clean and the other members are friendly. The staff is excellent, answering any questions you may have or helping out with any special requests. All in all an excellent commercial gym.

This is just my first step in reporting the poor business practices being the collection of membership dues. I am a new member at this gym. Signed up on 02/23. The special was first month free. My first payment was due within 30 days of my signed contract. Which would be 03/23. Peak attempts to try and deduct their payment on the 22nd, which they could not due to my debit card being locked, not a returned payment. My first issue is that payments should be deducted on the due date. And their policy of how fees are accessed are corrupt and an obvious way to take their customers money. There should be some better system in place as most businesses have. If your payment is due on the 1st they should allow you that day of payment being due to remit payment. They “Assessed fees" the day of not allowing you time to make your payment. A honest business should be protecting your customers on these types of excessive charges. The gym and staff are wonderful. However, trying to blindly rob your customers by charging fees when not warranted is inhumane and you cannot truly care conducting business this way. I will be filing a complaint in addition to contacting the headquarters location to correspond with Kevin Dehaven and Rebecca.

I love working out here! I recently started coming here in August and I enjoy going to the gym so much more than I did before. The prices are amazing for all the amenities they offer. DO NOT JOIN unless you want to pay for the rest of your life. My partner has been trying to get out of his contract for a year. They refuse to let him pay the buy out fee and so he tried waiting until it was almost expired and they still will not let him cancel. He’s wasted hours on the phone and so much money on this place while they give him the runaround. Save yourself the $$ and the headache and go literally ANYWHERE else.

I've been a member of Elite Fitness for a while now, and I can confidently write a review about my experience. The trainers at Elite Fitness (Angie & Jadon) provide amazing-knowledgable, supportive, and creative ways to help you reach your fitness goals. They create personalized workout plans and provide great motivation during their sessions.

In respect to the gym, the gym is equipped with a wide variety of machines and free weights, and more importantly space ensuring theres room and something for everyone, no matter your fitness level.

One of the things Ive grown to love most about Elite, is the friendly atmosphere. Everyone from the staff, to the fellow gym-goers, is welcoming and encouraging, making it a great place to work out. You will always find yourself looking forward to your visits.

If you need any assistance with anything I highly recommend speaking with Sam, Jeff, or Damion. They will be sure to meet all your needs, and answer any questions. They have always went above and beyond for their customers, and overall are responsible for the atmosphere and growth that Elite Fitness has to offer.

I switched from Sports Center to Elite Fitness about 6 months ago and extremely satisfied with my switch. Always a clean environment and a friendly fitness vibe lending to weight lifters. The manager, Sam, is always on the move organizing weights, tidying, and ensuring guests have a positive experience. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new gym, I’ve brought five family members since joining!

I've been a member of each iteration of this gyms location prior (Club Fitness, Achieve Fitness, Golds Gym). For the most part the gym and equipment are still the same and the gym still hosts, in my opinion, the best gym in Cabarrus County at least. The largest difference is the atmosphere the new ownership brings. The atmosphere isn't built on the ego of the owners but the thriving of the members.

What you may have heard about the old leadership is probably true. But THIS gym isn't that or them. Give it a chance if you haven't in the past and if you used to workout here and left, give it another shot!

Huge facility, variety in options from cycling classes, yoga, etc. wasn't hard to build a routine. Less crowded at night... I have seen a few crawlers but that may be from the neighbor stores...I left though was uncomfortable... So that's why it's a 4 not a 5 and it's fixable so check them out for sure.

switched to this gym to escape the over-crowding at planet fitness… Good decision. The facility is huge and has a great variety of equipment. Even during peak times I don't have to stand around and wait for a machine. i've only been here a few weeks but so far it has been great. after extensive shopping all around town I believe this place offers the best value for the price.

The price is ok but have a lot of hidden fees just be on point with your payments don't have two cards on file because they still will give you a 25 dollar fee if one card doesn't work ,& decline you be charged even if they charge your other card you have on file . The other think they don't tell you when you sing up right away within 3 months you will be charged not just the month but a 79.99 dollar fee for maintenance or so on right but there equipment is outdated old, malfunction ing where you can get hurt 🤕 too like i did on a threadmill check this pic.

Men’s sauna has been broken since last owners, place comes off as a nice looking place but then you’ll see cockroaches camouflaged with the old nasty dirty carpet. Very disgusting! Depending on who you’ll get at the front desk will determine your monthly payment!! If you’re ok lifting with COCKROACHES around you then this is the gym for you!!

I was a member when it was gold's but nothing has changed, same machines,same nasty carpet.The only thing changed is the name.I came in today for a one time visit and so guy at the front wanted me to leave my driver's license at the desk while I trained.I told him to refund my 10 dollars because he didn't bother to put my license in a file or anything he just had it laying on the desk.I see nothing has changed except for the name. I'm glad I left this gym.They are Horrible. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

I've been a member since 2016 when it was still Gold's Gym so I've seen the gym evolve over the years. Since Elite Fitness took over I've personally noticed an increase in quality. Bathrooms stay cleaner than before and they've slowly added some nice equipment like new power/squat racks and a few others. Would like to see some of the less used machines replaced with newer/different machines, but it doesn't hinder my gym experience at all. The one con the gym has is lack of a good lighting and an isolated posing/downligting room. Lighting in the locker room is lack luster and there is only 1 full body mirror at the entrance of the locker room which has too much traffic to pose. Both of the studios don't have any downlighting or light control, all of the lights turn on at once. The cycling studio had the better lighting of the two, but an announcement was recently made that their cycling studio will be closed after hours which eliminates that option. However, this isn't a major issue as it doesn't affect all members, but it is something other gyms have that I wish Elite offered. Their functional room which used to have multiple boxing heavy bags also needs some updates and love, doesn't feel the cleanest and is worn down compared to the rest of the gym. Despite the few issues, I still really enjoy this gym and plan to stay a member for the foreseeable future.

Gym is always dirty, I guess it’s probably the quality of people in this area. Look at how much trash and chewed gum they leave in the treadmills, let alone the parking lot. Bathroom is always out of soap or toilet paper. Also the humidity level is extremely high in here, definitely some mold in the upholstery of some of the machines, we can feel the reaction every time we come to this location. Great selection of machines though, recommend the other Elite location.

This gym has been a nightmare. First of all, as a student I’ve been paying 50 dollars a month and come to find out my friends who are also students have been only paying 25. Worse than that the equipment is falling apart, the leather is pealing and cracking, it’s not updated at all. While I’m working out people will come up to me and make me prove my membership claiming they are friends of the owner. Trying to cancel has been hell and they’ve slapped fees on the ending balances over and over again. Even one called an enhancement fee to “update equipment” when nothing has been updated in the year I’ve been there. I once even saw a roach while working out. Do not sign up here, you can find cheaper and cleaner places with better up to Date equipment

Been a part of this facility since 2013. Never had an issue with payment when Club Fitness & Gold Gym was in ownership. Elite fitness comes around as the new owners and I instantly start having payment issues and there is nothing they can do to reinstate my membership but instead want to charge me double the monthly fee & also another enrollment fee just to activate my account. These people don’t care about your loyalty they just care about your money. Never going back here again. Never been so disappointed before as this had always been my home gym.

I was a little hesitant about joining Elite Fitness after moving to the area but I’m SOOO GLAD I did. I love the fact the gym is open 24/7 and there is always equipment available and ready to use at anytime I decide to go. The owner answered any of my questions that I had prior to joining. Just attempted to sign up at this gym and was denied due to a staff member informing me that they do not accept prime members but they are listed on the network and when I reach out to tivity health to see if that was true I was inform that I should have been accepted as a new member because they are apart of the network and I reach out to their other locations and was inform that they do accept prime, stay far away from this gym if you can cause apparently they only want specific individuals in there gym.

The gym is huge first of all. Locker room is large, clean, and serves it's purpose. I haven't tried classes yet but it's cool that they're offered as well as child care for those with a need. The staff is friendly and their fitness director is one of the best around. If you've been on the fence about starting a journey I highly recommend setting a consultation with him -(Jadon if you're reading this you saw nothing 😅).

Toured and signed up today!! Charles was amazing!!! It’s a fantastic space with a large variety of equipment and room to move around for a complete and varied workout. Today was push day for us and I can honestly say that I got a better and more efficient workout than at my previous gym. You can tell that management put a lot of thought into placement of equipment, amount of equipment and the overall culture of the gym environment. What I love: daycare for kids, easy and secure after hours check in, spacious dressing rooms with full showers, private dressing rooms, sauna and steam rooms, variety of instructor led workouts
Reasons I'm not renewing my membership:
The culture- other members won't restack weights as stated in contracts, so you will spend double the time in the gym than you normally would just to find the weights you need.
Poor sanitation- this is more a critique when it was golds gym but I have no way to confirm if they have a staffed custodian since changing. I stopped going when I found a used condom in one of the women's showers along with a large clump of hair in another shower. Both sat there for three weeks. I tried telling someone everytime I came in but couldn't find a staff member since it was after hours. I don't want to imagine what else isn't sanitized and cleaned daily.
Delays with delivering upgrades- They promised a lot of upgrades when they transitioned last summer but all I noticed was new paint.
Conclusion: If the yearly membership price was slashed in half, I would keep my membership. However considering all the negatives, it's not worth it's current price since you can only effectively use half of the amenities.

I was a member of Gold's gym when Elite took it over. I messaged them through their website shortly after they took over to put my membership on hold due to some back issues and my being unable to workout. I never heard back from them and didn't realize until months later that I was still being charged. I finally got someone to call me back only to be informed that they said they emailed me back asking how long I wanted to pause my membership and because I didn't respond, my membership was never paused. I checked my inbox, spam, trash, etc. and can't find an email. I asked them to resend me what they originally sent and I was told they couldn't do that. I told them it would go a long way in being reimbursed and they said no. I told them I wanted to speak with a supervisor (I asked different employees 3 or 4 times ) and each time, they said that wasn't possible. I told them to cancel my membership and they said I had to email them to do so and that it would take 30 days. In other words, I would be charged another month before I would stop being charged for good. They milked me for months, wouldn't allow me to speak to a supervisor and didn't seem like they cared one bit. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had.

UPDATE: I can't figure out how to respond to the owner's response below so I'm adding it here:

Thank you for responding. I actually think I did call the gym directly first and they told me I had to call the company who manages your gym's payments/contracts. But perhaps I'm misremembering that part. Either way, the company handling your billing are the ones who will not allow me to speak to a manager. I did receive a call back twice from your senior manager, Rebecca, and I returned the call both times. We kept missing each other. The last time I called back, I left a message with an employee who said they would make sure Rebecca got my message and that she would reach back out to me again. I never received another call and gave up on trying. It's very likely she never got the message from the other employee.

Update: my review was for Ida. After Ida had been released of her job my communication with Rebecca and staff has been miserable. I was charged for personal training (11/22) that I could not complete since I was not told of Ida being let go until after I was charged and my schedule was not compatible with Rebecca’s. From there Rebecca and I agreed to terminate my PT sessions since they had not hired anyone to replace Ida and wouldn’t until February 2023 and I’m being charged still.
There’s so much and I wish I could stop having this business take my money every month. There is a disgusting taste left in my mouth from these people.

Ida has been awesome! She’s the reason I signed up to continue my training there!
The locker room has appeared clean and I feel comfy showering and changing to go straight to work after training with Ida.

A large gym, and lots of equipment! The team is very helpful--training with Ida has been great. The only downside is some of the equipment seems a bit older, but it sounds like they are working on revamping the gym so I'd take that with a grain of salt.
