Nak Muay in NYC for 12 years. Started working in the area, needed a place to train, found this great gym. Coach Skip runs a good class, with techniques that are effective in Muay Thai. Looking forward to coming back. 10/10

Evermore Muay Thai boxing club is an amazing place to train! From the moment my girlfriend and I walked in, We felt welcomed by both the coaches and fellow students. No matter your skill level, everyone looks out for each other and creates a supportive environment to learn and grow.

Kru Skip is an incredible coach—patient, knowledgeable, and always willing to break down techniques so that everyone, from beginners to experienced fighters, can improve. Training here has been a great experience for both my health and my skill development.

If you’re looking for a Muay Thai gym with a great community and high-quality coaching, I highly recommend Evermore Muay Thai!

Amazing gym with an amazing community of people! The training approach is technique oriented and well rounded, rather than simply coming in for a workout. Skip as well as others in the class have been very helpful in helping me learn effectively. I’ve been coming for a month and it’s becoming more and more fun! I highly recommend this gym to anyone in the Charlotte area.

I did a drop-in class at Evermore Muay Thai while visiting Charlotte for the first time. I was amazed to see a Muay Thai specific gym as many places I’ve traveled to before have been various forms of mixed martial arts. The coach was incredibly informative and we drilled techniques that my home gym doesn’t often do. I’ve been training for about 3 years and wanted to drop-in to stay active as I have a smoker coming up in the next couple of months. The drills we went over included elbows and clench work which is exactly what I need more practice in. It was awesome to see traditional muay thai taught and I’ve already made notes from the drills we went over to take back home and teach my fellow training partners. The gym was clean and spacious, the equipment was exceptional and the design of the merch was so cool! I even bought a sweatshirt to represent them when I travel back home to Connecticut. I’m extremely grateful for the experience and knowledge that I gained just from one drop-in class! Highly recommend.

Evermore Muay Thai is a hidden gem tucked away on the second floor of a church. During the day, it operates as a soup kitchen, and by night, it transforms into a Muay Thai gym—both incredible contributions to the community.

When my husband, son, and I found ourselves unexpectedly stuck in town due to a canceled connecting flight, we decided to visit the nearest Muay Thai gym. Out of two options, we chose Evermore Muay Thai for its more traditional approach.

The session began with warm-ups, including jump rope and shadow boxing, followed by padwork and clinching. The facility itself was clean and well-equipped with Thai pads and other training gear.

What truly stood out was the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere created by Skip and his team. They were friendly, approachable, and made us feel right at home. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

I stopped by Skip’s place while on a roadtrip. Skip led class by leveling up the class as it went (e.g. starting with basics, and building to more advanced moves). I think this makes it a great curriculum for all levels.

Skip and his students were super friendly and welcoming. I’ve got my blue belt in jiu jitsu, but I’ve only been training Muay Thai for about a month in Indianapolis. Based on what I experienced in my couple classes, I would gladly come back for more next time I’m in town.

Skip creates an easy-going atmosphere right from the beginning and helped me get comfortable as a new kid (I'm 32) to the sport of muay thai. After just a few months I feel comfortable with the gloves on, holding pads for others, and doing some light sparring with others. Nothing was ever intimidating. There's always another level of teaching Skip can take you to if you have questions, otherwise he'll lead you right along at a pace that's right for you.

Skip is a phenomenal teacher and communicator. He takes pride in what he is teaching. I like his style- demo and then you perform with him watching everyone then individually checking your form and breathing. He is very invested in each person and the group as a whole. For example, I haven’t ever done anything like this snd he explains what the act is, the muscle group you will be working, and then demo’s with you.

Been working with Skip for two months now -- I was relatively new to Muay Thai and deeply out of shape. Skip began with fundamentals, ensuring proper body mechanics while challenging me to develop my conditioning and coordination. Two months later, I am infinitely more comfortable with kick-boxing, self defense, and I've even dropped ten or fifteen pounds! I've so enjoyed my experience at MacIntyre Thai Boxing that I invited a dozen or so of my friends, ages 25 to 60, to drop into a seminar that Skip hosted!

He is a master of interactive teaching — introducing a technique then pairing it with different combinations to illustrate it’s versatility and power. It's a pleasure to work with him, and I highly recommend reaching out whether you’re looking to get in shape or simply up your badassery quotient.
