Been a member here since 1990. Fuel Fitness took it over from when it used to be Regency. It has been a big part of my life for almost 35 years. Heard today that they're permanently closing the doors on 12/31/24. I am extremely disappointed and especially since they gave NO notice to their members. That's the part that aggravates me so much. I'm quite sure they've known for a while they would be closing. Would it have been too much to give a month's notice? Awful way to treat members.

It’s only been 6 months and still all you hear is static over the speakers in the gym. Apparently it’s beyond the technical limits of the guy who runs the gym to turn the radio station.

Great place to work out. Has plenty of machines and free weights plus cardio equipment. Great place to tone up and drop a few pounds. Go for it.

I had a great start here, plenty of equipment, not busy and has a sauna! But here recently things are going down hill. Sauna is dysfunctional at times and dirty. A lot of people bunched up by the dumbbell racks with barely any room to lift at times. The biggest issue of all is whenever it’s after hours I CANNOT EVER get my keycard thing on my phone to work to let me in. Resulting in a waste of my time and unable to access the gym. Luckily a few times someone saw me in let me in.

Great Facility that is accessible 24 hours every day of the week. Fuel Fitness provides an environment that has created many different avenues versatility for your workouts with free weights, smith machines, cables, and a various amount of accessory equipment! Sauna and Recovery room is also a must!

There are still only 2 treadmills that work upstairs. Now, this is not a woman's only upstairs. But at least they put women only on the bathroom and the changing room is for the whole family? I'm not sure I would want to change upstairs with the men also

Fine gym, don’t leave anything unattended for more than 2 seconds. If you leave a gym bag out long enough to go use the restroom, something will get stolen. Have been there less than a month and had over 500$ (headphones, knee sleeves, etc) stolen out of my bag. Plan on canceling soon, the early cancellation fee is cheaper than replacing all of my stuff every time I leave.

Didn't get a membership here but it seems like a nice place. Manager Iliana was very friendly and informative and a beautiful woman, but not going to be In NC for long and wanted to use swimming pool. Definitely would recommend here to others

The gym has it's perks but it also has it's annoyances. Poor service with the front desk and management, the sauna isn't on at all hours, the weight room tends to be a bit of a mess, but the size and multiple workout spaces are nice. My favorite feature is the aerobic room upstairs and the power plate

Appalling business practices, will not stop taking money from us.

Initially tried to cancel our membership when the COVID-19 pandemic was still in full swing. Called up to do so, nope. They wouldn’t accept that, we had to go in-person or they wouldn’t accept it. (Shows you what they actually think about the health of their clients.) Didn’t get cancelled, the payroll draft was still going out. Tried to cancel through other means (bank/work) but no, only in the gym itself. Eventually went in, filled out forms, done — or so we thought. Payday comes, still going out. Okay, maybe we missed the cutoff for that month? Waited, and nope, still going out. My husband called them and complained. Manager was very apologetic—the paperwork wasn’t done right, employee was new, mistake on their end etc. It would be cancelled and we would be refunded. Nope. Payday again, it’s STILL going out. Called them AGAIN…and this time, they say “oh but it’s a 30 day contract so we’re allowed to charge you for another 30 days AFTER you cancel…” Get outta here. You’ve been taking $60 a month from my family for MONTHS, stop stealing peoples money you skeezy, unprofessional bunch of scammers.

Excellent environment for working out. People are kind and respectful here and the equipment and locker rooms are clean and well cared for. They serve complementary coffee during business hours and "good creamer" on Wednesdays. It's just the extra boost I need to get out of bed early in the morning. They also offer a 24 hr. pass, which is convenient, and during business hours they have an upstairs area that is only available to women, which I find very comforting. I use the upstairs area as well as the downstairs, and both are good.
The staff is helpful, knowledgeable and kind. They also have a pool in the summer, which doesn't cost extra, and they have childcare as well.

I recommend this gym to everyone in Wilson.

The employees are always very kind as well as most of the people working out here. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because the equipment needs to be replaced/reconditioned but it never is.
