2) great variety of machines (weights & cardio), but often out of order (eg. pulse readout; clanking/notchiness of pedaling or walking/running)

3) electronic access after 'manned' hours, but could improve

4) free samples offered up front

5) very convenient, relatively 'central' location

6) Hispanic cleaning lady works hard cleaning & vacuuming, but it is a bit inconvenient when the locker rooms are closed due to cleaning {24 - hour (manned) operation would probably help}

7) variety of ages/ethnicities: lots of variety of interesting workouts (military/old school, 'Williams' & 'Elon' kids, children/teenagers; break dancing, etc.)

8) nice they have a dedicated children's area!

Bad:

1) unsightly & dirty both outside & inside (litter, 'volunteer' weeds, cigarette butts, wrappers, bottles, cans, etc.): trash everywhere & locker doors always left ajar; everything looks apathetically & unapologetically 'ghetto!' the staff should regularly keep the parking lot & locker rooms, workout floor free of litter & debris; suggestion: have a 'please no littering: take some pride' signs posted throughout & a comments/suggestion box(es) prominently displayed; need trash receptacles outside at both of the entries and scattered around the parking lot

2) one older (Arabic?) guy vigorously shakes up the pool & hot tub area immensely bouncing around, jostling everyone, especially around 4:00 in the afternoon, sometimes using the pool lane separation buoy rope (stretching it out!)

3) folks talking on phones, or playing tv shows/videos, incessantly, especially in the 'wet area'

4) machines often 'out of order' or out of proper adjustment, especially the Precor stationary bikes

5) not enough stationary bikes

6) poor gym etiquette: often folks hog machines or cut out of order on circuits, jumping in & out of sequence or just leisurely socialize while hardly working out (more of a morning/early afternoon occurrence) - socializing should be on long front bench or back in the locker rooms!

7) shower area looks pretty worn out and 'tired'

8) staff sometimes doesn't show up, so 'wet area' isn't available

9) steam room no longer operative (been so a long time)

10) terrible music piped over the entire area (why not Bluetoothed to the ones who want it?)

11) after-hours entry is irritating: difficulty in reading in/low beeper volume on the sensor compared to ambient street noise & ubiquitous irritating 'music'

12) guy plays his own music out loud in the 'wet area'

13) pool water is often too warm, especially in the summer months, and earlier in the day

14) one of the hair dryers isn't working (men's locker room)

15) should be 'fully manned' 24 hours a day

16) should have bath/hand towels

17) floor & (hot tub/pool) steps are slippery (need freshly 'textured' surfaces)

18) showers take a while to warm up & handles 'sag,' making warmer settings difficult

19) some of the lights are burned out back in the wet area

20) employee smoking a nasty cigarette right in front of the right front entrance (smoking should not be permitted anywhere on the premises!) this should be a place fully dedicated to promoting good health & well being!!

21) Hispanic lady eats snacks back in the 'wet area' (hot tub bench)

22) there are a lot of overhead TV monitors, but content on most is not desirable ('rap' videos, very suggestive/lewd content displayed) - again these should be able to be Bluetoothed to the folks that want this, not just broadcast out into the whole interior!

23) just seems the front staff are too concerned with displaying & selling supplements (what about keeping the front area appealing?)

24) there seems to need to be more common courtesy, especially amongst the patrons (no noisy mufflers or blinding headlights or parking crookedly, especially with large vehicles; no tossing trash down anywhere & everywhere)

25) really noisy/distracting 'studios' (spin classes, etc. early in the mornings

I've been coming here for several months and the staff is great! I've been working with Jordan and Hope while training for a Duathlon and they are amazing! Highly recommend them for your training needs! This gym is clean and there's no waiting for equipment.

I like the gym and the facilities, but I’ve had uncomfortable experiences with some members, especially an older man who approaches to ‘explain things’ and touches without permission. No one should have to limit themselves to certain areas just to train peacefully. It would be great if the gym reinforced its rules and ensured a safe environment for all members

I don’t normally write reviews, but people need to know… It was an absolute nightmare trying to terminate my membership early. Golds has hired Peak Payment Solutions to handle this, and it took me over 3 months, 2 in person visits, way too many emails and phone calls to finally cancel- not to mention that I would owe 2 more payments after cancelling per the details of my contract. Absolute mess. Will never be doing business again with any place that uses Peak Payment Solutions.

I've been there twice this far. A good amount of space to zone out and do your thing. I will continue to visit here. I see a lotnof the reviews about the staff. I went with my two teen kids and I can see where it would be intimidating, but it wasn’t at all. I did what my kids do, got into a zone with headphones and did my own thing. Very respectful environment. Equipment was left tidy and had a variety of equipment to choose from. There is something for everyone. Pool looked musty so I didn’t venture in there. Not sure it’s needed in that environment.

Best gym I’ve been to in a long time. The equipment is top notch. They have better machines than 95% of the gyms across the U.S.. I’m a deployment engineer, so I have to travel every week for work. I’ve been to over 50 gyms across the US so far this year and in terms of equipment and the management, this is the best gym I’ve been too so far. They also have small drink shop that serves protein shakes and pre-workout. Austin Willis greets me by name and I’ve only been going to the gym for a few days. And Justin Willis was very helpful with information on different pre workouts to help me choose what works best for me.

It’s been a great customer experience. Will be back whenever I’m in town.

This facility and it's employees are top tier! They have so many options from equipment to classes and a pool/spa & sauna. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They truly care about getting you in your best shape and not just body shape, but overall health. Special shout out to JD, he performed my initial personal training session. He is AWESOME!!!! Great place to relieve stress, while getting fit. Also I read a lot of reviews complaining about how the employees were not clear about the contract you are signing. I can’t speak for their experience but in my own I was informed quite clearly what it would cost to cancel the membership, and about the yearly fee as well as maintenance fee. It’s not as bad as you think just don’t sign up for 2 years if you aren’t certain you’ll be gym active for that long. Personally I find it a mentally healthy and friendly environment, and would recommend it to anyone I meet.

I’ve been going to golds for a while now, and this place was and is home for me. Through the last very chaotic few years, I always had golds to get away from life and pursue my fitness goals. Sadly, it’s changed quite a bit with the new ownership. The staff used to be super friendly and made effort to get to know all the members, especially the regulars like myself. Unfortunately, as they've moved on and new ownership took the reins, the staff straight up won’t even say hi to you, and are absolutely in their own world all the time. As I see more and more longtime members like myself leave, I cannot blame them and may be following them myself. Aside from the new equipment, the new ownership and staff has been very disappointing. Doesn’t take much effort to take a second to talk to us, aside from the typical cliques. Also, the gym etiquette here is absolutely non existent. People have no consideration a lot of times (there are a few ones left that try). Other than that, it’s a good gym. Just miss the old ways for sure.

This is gym is not well kept and the worst Gold's facility that I've attended. Beware when you join, I have paid almost $400 to join the gym, you will get charged $120 for a maintenance fee 2 months in that they do not tell you about. When contacting Kelli with Customer Service, she made it clear she did not appreciate my Type A personality, which I apologized for not asking how her day was and commenting on the weather but I was not happy about the random $120 charge, they didn't tell me about, however I understand the point of the charge. All she has to do was apologize, acknowledge their miscommunication and give me $120. After all was said and done there was nothing they would do so instead they would rather lose 2 members of the gym. The worst customer service I've experienced with any company and I say run far away from the Gold's Gym in Burlington!!

This place has no consideration for its customers. My mother is in her 60s and my younger brother is 14. Originally, there were 3 memberships with my membership being the main. My mother due to personal reason she decides to cancel her membership almost a year ago, she was missed informed and was told that her membership got cancel, to this point her membership has been active and her account was being charged. This whole time we've been paying for 3 memberships and only using 2 and now that I want to cancel they are making it difficult and they have prolong this matter to the point that now I am halening to pay the yearly building fee on all 3 of the accounts.

Dumbbells are often placed in the wrong spot (sometimes not even placed back on the rack) and people never hang their weight back up. Glad they were are to reopen, has a sauna and swimming pool on top of all the standard equipment. I've been told they will be returning to a 24 hour schedule soon. Friendly staff, clean environment, and call the regulars are good people, very supportive.

Gym staff was very friendly. It had a good assortment of equipment but most of it seemed very old and the barbells near the squat/deadlift racks were worn enough to make a loud crash when lifting. Solid gym overall, but it just didn't feel worth the amount you pay with their plans for dated equipment.

This is my first gym. Im very excited. I hike and excerise regularly but they have a lap pool and hot tub and suana.update. Day 5. I love it.... nice place ppl are friendly, very helpful. Temperature check going in. Sanitizer available. Machines cleaned after every use. Very happy

Gold’s gym has decent membership rates but has a plethora of classes to attend and various equipment to utilize from dumbbells, kettlebells, resistance machines and cardio machines. It also has an open floor plan that allows for doing body weight exercises or plyometrics.

I stopped coming here in February of 2018, because of the Elliptical machines were in poor shape and just the gym was on a downward spiral. Came back in March of 2019 and there are some improvements. Thank you new manager and team. Overall a great gym!

Been coming here for over 3 years. Great place to work out. Lately under new ownership they havent had hvac turned on making it uncomfortably hot, now that its cooling off its not so bad. Hope its not like this next summer

Once gym regulations were lifted I was worried that golds would charge me even though I am not able to go for medical reasons. I worried that they would require me to show proof (which I could have gotten) but without a second thought they paused my membership and let me know I was welcome back once I felt comfortable returning to working out.
They have many classes to offer which is worth the membership alone. My daughter loves kid care and the kid care staff is very friendly.

For heading back to the gym after the pandemic, all staff are working their best to keep us safe and them selves. Down fall is no basketball to play or steam room. But we fully understand.
