I enrolled in the Fall 2024 YTT program offered by this studio. It was around $3000 for the 8-weekend course. I attended six out of the eight weekend sessions before I could no longer tolerate the environment. Additionally, I abandoned 26 out of 30 class passes I had purchased during that time. I invested a significant amount of money into an experience that fell far short of what I had expected. I asked the owner and YTT instructor, Roman, for a partial refund some time ago. I was offered an insultingly menial amount, to which I countered, and then never received a response. While I will likely never recoup my loss, I hope to spare others from similar heartache.
The classes themselves were often very unstructured, which is to be expected in the yoga/holistic community, but there was a piece of it that made the experience insufferable. After the election, the owner, Roman, who was teaching the YTT program, became increasingly emboldened. Every weekend we spent was gradually sprinkled with more and more political talking points and buzz words, until it eventually culminated into the last class I attended. It was what I can best describe as a 4-hour long alt-right lecture in which most of us sat as sounding boards for the most ridiculous political rhetoric I’ve ever heard outside of a WRAL Facebook comment section. In addition to it just being inappropriate for the setting, the views were conspiratorial and extremist. You expect a little bit of woo-woo in the wellness/holistic communities, but this was beyond extreme. There was no true openness to discussion or debate and there was a quickness to disagree or pivot based on false or absent evidence until some of us eventually fell silent. Prior to this, I had tried to suck it up weekend after weekend, and get what I could of the course, but after that last session, I could no longer stomach it.
A lot of the talking points weren’t new and are largely recycled and regurgitated from a certain subsect; it’s really the setting and the unnecessariness of it that made it so unbearable. While I believe that everyone is entitled to their opinions, I feel that an environment like this—intended for personal growth and learning—should remain focused on the practice at hand. The shoehorned insertion of such political commentary hugely detracted from the practice, and the delivery of which was usually condescending and arrogant. It grossly overshadowed the truly valuable aspects—the meditation, the physical challenges, and the art of perfecting poses. Despite the benefits, I could not and cannot overlook this piece, as it was so terribly unpleasant and distracting and it so profoundly misaligns with my morals and values.
Ultimately, this experience was deeply disappointing and jarring really, and I’m embarrassed that I spent the amount of money and sacrificed the amount of time that I did. The program had the potential to be excellent if it had stayed focused on yoga. I will not be returning to this studio.

The Power Yoga sessions here are no joke. The teachers bring this amazing mix of strength, grace, and focus that keeps me on my edge the entire time. They don’t just lead the room—they command it with confidence and compassion. You’re drenched in sweat, your muscles are shaking, but somehow they cue exactly what you need to hear right when you need it.
I had been practicing yoga off and on (mostly off) for almost 30 years but never got into a consistent practice until I found Gratitude. The heat, the music, and the energy in the room make it feel like training and meditation all at once. My practice at Gratitude has been transformational in my body and mind. I leave every class completely spent—but lighter, clearer, and honestly, more centered than after any gym session.

I've been here a few times for the sound bath events, which are amazing. I highly recommend it, but I am deducting stars because I've never been able to get on the phone with them after calling multiple times.
Update: 10/15: the new management team reached out to me. the studio was going through a new management shift during the time I was calling in the Summer but they express their apologies and took the time to answer my questions.

Gratitude Yoga is truly a sanctuary.
The teachers here are not only knowledgeable and skilled, but they each bring a deep sense of presence and warmth to every class. No matter who is guiding the session, you can feel their genuine care and intention.
This space is more than a studio—it’s a deeply personal, grounding, and welcoming environment where you’re encouraged to show up exactly as you are. Whether you’re coming to move, to breathe, to reconnect, or to simply be still, there’s something here that speaks to the soul.
I’m so thankful that this place exists. It’s been a steady, nourishing part of my journey, and I always leave feeling more connected—to myself, to my breath, and to the moment.
Endlessly grateful for Gratitude hot yoga!

Finding Gratitude Hot Yoga has been nothing short of life-changing. I came in looking for a way to improve my physical fitness, but I found so much more—a community that feels like home, and a practice that has transformed both my body and mind.
From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with open arms by the incredible instructors and fellow yogis. The owner, Roman, has created a truly special space where everyone is encouraged to show up just as they are. His passion for yoga and dedication to personal growth radiates through every aspect of the studio.
The classes here are challenging yet accessible, and each instructor brings their own unique energy and expertise.
The studio is always spotless, and the atmosphere is calming and welcoming. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or a complete beginner, this is the place to start or deepen your practice. I’m so grateful I found Gratitude—it’s not just a yoga studio; it’s a sanctuary for personal growth and connection.

This will change your life. All you have to do is show up, embrace the sweat and breathe, the transformation will find you. Awesome teachers and cool community. Couldn't recommend more. Disclaimer - just a typical suburban bro here. Never thought I'd call myself a yogi, now I can't live without it. Show up! You'll thank yourself later.

I've been wanting to try hot yoga for years while living in New York City. Since relocating to Raleigh, I have made it a goal to be more active and really challenge myself. Groupon offered a deal around the holiday and I decided to purchase for my friend and I. I reached out to the owner Ro with questions prior to visiting. He was accessible, patient, kind, and explained the process for redeeming vouchers. He encouraged me to just show up. Start somewhere.
I finally made it to class this evening for Hope's 7:15 Slow Flow and enjoyed it. Hope and the other staff were very warm and welcoming. The studio is very clean and relaxing. The others attending were also warm and welcoming to us as newbies. At one point the heat was so unbearable I felt like I would faint, but I formed my pose and pushed myself. Hope opened the door for cool air to flow in a few times when things got intense. This was helpful and helped with stamina. The key is to focus on your breathing, your pose, and not the body heat or toxins flowing out of your body. Hope was very encouraging to us and helped us with the poses using blocks. She was very hands on with everyone in the class. This was the push we needed. The poses were very challenging, at times uncomfortable but we survived ! I feel so renewed and energized ! I love the location that's just minutes from home and the different options with classes throughout the day fits my lifestyle. I can't wait to return for a 5:45 am or midday class.

I think we all come to yoga seeking that physical fitness, flexibility, and internal healing/mindfulness we read about. That's what I was seeking, maybe even in a quick fix kind of way. After practicing power yoga at various studios across the the triangle, I found myself stronger physically, but gained none of the mindful "life changing" benefits I continued to read about. One day I stumbled upon this studio..... I left drenched and detoxified physically while at the same time feeling I'd left the best couch therapy session of my life. This is the real legit yoga, y'all. This is what it is all about. The owner, Roman, is a true guru. His heart and soul is really about life change and inner growth. All of the teachers have the same philosophy. In my short time, 2 months so far, at Gratitude I've seen my body grow stronger, my mind let go, and felt more at peace than I have since a child. We all have life challenges, ups and downs, hurts, habits, and hangups.... if you want to release those and find yourself.... start at this place, you won't regret it.
