Love everything about this bright shiny new facility except the music sometimes. I understand upbeat and lively music in the fitness areas BUT some spa like music would be welcome in the shower rooms. After a good work out, gentle music while we shower would be so pleasant.

It is on a congested 2nd floor of the building. They have one elevator. Work out area is so imopen and looks packed with equipments. Not really thrilled.

Staff was great! Facility was nice and well-kept for the most part. Enjoy the basketball courts which were sponsored by LaMelo Ball. Not much of a pool for kids as it may be too deep. Other than that, they have lockers to rent out.

Very small facility overcrowded especially after the new year they don’t have much to offer in comparison to many of the other YMCA locations, not their fault. They are actually in the process of constructing a much larger new facility. Can’t wait for the opening later in 2025.

I have had a number of problems with Bridget, and am trying to use another Y when Bridget is working in the playroom. My child told me with no prompting that they felt unsafe around Bridget, which confirmed my own issues with her.

This place is a joke. Nothing for my child to do and can’t come to Harrisburg but if I want after school care it goes through Harrisburg at the location that they have nothing for children under 16 to participate in? When I call i just get forwarded to other people or told to call another number. The Y used to be a great place now it’s just a cheap gym for adults.

I really enjoy going to this gym!! Everyone from the lady at the front desk to the staff and gym members are awesome!! I have tried different gyms in the area since moving to Charlotte 2 years ago and wasn't able to stick with it. The thing that I love about this gym is everyone makes you feel welcomed and at home. Honestly the whole place is a gem. If it wasn't for the lady at the front desk and her kindness I would have never signed up in the first place as first impressions are everything. If you want a place to work out that is safe and full of good energy then give this place a try.

HORRIBLE!!!costumer service HORRIBLE!!! I been there in the morning Tuesday WITH MY THREE KIDS and the OLD white lady was SUPER MEAN !!!! I asked her for information and she just answered MEAN AND I DIDTN MADE MY ENROLLMENT IN THAT PLACE JUST FOR HER SHE WAS STUPID MEAN INFRONT TO MY KIDS!!! This YMCA is both clean and welcoming. There’s a lot of cleaning materials available and people actually use them unlike many over saturated gyms. The gym has just the right amount of people for someone who doesn’t like to workout near many people. Usually when I go I can expect 5 - 12 other people, that’s decent and on some days it’s empty. It all depends on time. Also, the machines are fairly new and the environment makes you want to work out. There’s not kids playing around, there’s people of all sizes working out and in their own zone. I would highly recommend, I pay $19/mo for my nationwide membership. Ask them about their open doors “scholarship” which offers reduced prices for people who make under $40k roughly. All that was required was my tax return and I.D. and it went from $64 to $19 and it took around 10 mins from the time I walked in to the time I left. Your rate will be cheaper if you choose to work out at this gym only, it would be roughly $9/mo. I love this gym, hope that helped

Great little gym. Friendly people, good atmosphere. There is 1 squat rack, 1 deadlift platform, 2 benches, 1 incline bench, 1 decline bench, dumbbell rack, tower with multiple stations, cycling class room, group exercise room, a host of treadmills/elliptical/cycling machines, Cybex-type machines, and an open cardio/stretching room. Usually not too busy in the mornings or evenings.

It's got lots of good equipment. Some of the ellipticals are a bit rough and vibrate strangely. Still, the workers are very kind and helpful and it is very clean and in a good location. They also offer lots of different exercise classes such as spin class and yoga. There's a TV at all the treadmills and elliptical trainer so you can watch whatever you want while working out. Don't be confused by the photos! The Y is on the top floor of the Harrisburg town hall. Just go in the front door and take the stairs to your left. You can't miss it.
