As a competitive dancer, I needed a flexible schedule of cross training to help improve my stamina. When a friend recommended HEW AVL, I tried one class and never looked back! This community is supportive and inspirational, and the coaching was exactly what I needed to secure my first place win on a major stage in 2020.
No matter your goal, background, or your experience level, this gym and its staff can meet you where you are and help you reach your goals. I personally appreciate how attentively they coach proper form, but also let you learn at your own pace safely. I couldn't ask for a more invested group of people who care about your success. Chris and his crew are the best and I won't be going anywhere else!

I recently joined HEW Fitness Asheville after working out alone for quite some time. If you like HIIT workouts plus strength training this is the gym for you. Coaches are very engaged, fun and ensure proper form and technique. They will work with you to modify any workout based on injury, your fitness level or even just the fact that you despise doing burpees. No one is pushed or forced to do anything they aren’t comfortable doing. The HEWmans at HEW are the best part of being a member. Everyone is welcoming, supports one another, is inclusive and pushes/encourages each other to be the best physical version of themselves. One hour at HEW is the best hour of your day!

I love this gym! This is my second time back and the community is great, workouts are great and so are the coaches. The coaches are great at teaching and walking around making sure you are doing everything correctly and safely. Everything can be scaled. This is definitely a gym for anyone!

I've been coming to HEW regularly for about 8 months and love it! The coaches are great at providing adaptations for people at different levels of fitness and when I've had injuries (from non-HEW things) they're great at suggesting alternative exercises. The workouts are different every day, the people are friendly and supportive, the gym is super spacious, and the equipment is in great shape!

I love this place so much. Before HEW, I hated working out at a gym and dreaded going. The community and coaches here are amazing! Encouraging, personable, basically everything you could hope for at a place like this. The equipment is all in great shape and the workouts are never dull or repetitive. Every day is something different and you can always scale or modify the workouts to best fit your needs. I need a place I can go to take a structured class to keep me in line and motivated. Been going here for over 4 years now and I never gets old. The new management has been wonderful and I'm excited to see where they take the gym!

I love this gym! It was my first gym membership experience ever.
And first CrossFit style gym experience. Boy, do they know how to keep me coming back.
The coaches really care and know their stuff. When I was new and feeling a bit daunted, they would check in with me and help me with adaptations that made all the difference.
The folks who work out are so friendly too.
When I came back after a couple months hiatus, I was welcomed by staff and members with joy and smiles and warm curiosity that gelt so sincere.
It’s really easy to love this place.

Great group of folks and a laid back but fun and uplifting atmosphere. Workouts are tough but easily modified for abilities and classes usually have a variety of people. They video both the group and you individually while you are working out and post the videos to social media. You can request they not video you, but they have a hard time keeping up with it, so if you don't like being filmed while you workout this might not be the place for you.

I’m from Georgia and happened to be in Asheville for work, so figured I would check out their location. They were all so welcoming and friendly. It’s always intimidating to walk in a gym with people you don’t know, but by the end of the week many faces became familiar ! They were super encouraging and it was great to see a different gym and how they operate. One thing I love about my Hew is the vibe and how uplifting w new people they are. I see that is persistent with this location and will def return when I visit this city again! Thanks for being inclusive to a newbie .

HEW is one of the best decisions I have made for my health. I walked in my first day a few months ago and was very overwhelmed and thought I will try this but there is no way I can do this. However, I am not one to turn down a challenge and I am so glad I was wrong. I am doing things I never thought I could do because of the help of the super knowledgeable staff. I followed a friend to Hard Exercise Works (HEW). After having four kids I needed to make some changes in my life. I didn't know what to expect from HEW and was nervous to attend my first several classes. I never thought I'd be a daily gym goer, but it's now 2 years later and I'm still going. I've found support and encouragement. I've lost fat and gained muscle. I feel strong. I've challenged myself physically and mentally. I don't know where I'd be today if I'd never walked through the doors of Hard Exercise Works, but I'm thankful I don't have to find out.

I’ve been going to HEW for almost a year now. It’s not convenient to where I live, and it’s not the cheapest gym membership in town, but I’m there 5 times a week most weeks. Because the coaches and the members form an amazing community that keep me coming back, and the workouts are challenging and fun and always different. I started out thinking I would just try it for a few weeks during a challenge they hosted last year, and now it’s something I look forward to every day! I’ve made incredible progress in my fitness level thanks to the workout programming, and the challenges they offer are tough to stick to but make a huge difference in understanding how important proper nutrition is in maintaining fitness and a healthy lifestyle. 1 year update: If you join during a challenge, initially you come because it’s what you’re supposed to do when you join a gym. But then you come because it’s what you want to do! Great place to reach your fitness goals. The coaches are amazing! They are there for you during workouts to ensure your safety and cheer you on. The coaches also provide assistance in helping you reach your personal fitness and nutritional goals. HEW's focus is on health and strength, not just focusing on making bodybuilders. HEW is very supportive of parents with little ones by having a play area for the children visible to parents. The members are great, too. We cheer each other on especially during the tough workouts. There is so much diversity among members, and HEW coaches make everyone feel like they belong at HEW. I personally enjoy different workouts each day, a wide variety of class times during the day, and modifications for people like me who are not the most athletic. Hard exercise works!

HEW is best decision I have made for my health. Physically because I am working hard for 45 minute workouts every day, but also mentally because I am overcoming fitness fears. Rope climbs, Olympic lifts, running...I am conquering them all with the help of the super knowledgeable staff. I have kids and they can come with me also, the staff also helps keep them entertained while I work out. The 5 week challenge will train you on what/how much to eat and will set you up for lifetime success if you utilize it!!! Highly recommend this awesome place to change your life!

I joined this gym through the 6 week FREE challenge they do!! Is it intense? Yes! Is it fun? Hell yes! Is it difficult? Definitely! But it’s the beat thing I’ve ever done for myself! This place is great! I love it here. I’ve done the 6 week challenge with hew and I’ve lost 22.5 lbs in that little time. It was hard but i enjoyed every minute with everyone there. The coach’s are always there if you have questions or if you can’t do something and are always happy to help. Even the other members will cheer you on and give you the boost to keep going. Also if you are doing the 6week challenge be sure to follow the diet plan! All in all HARD EXERCISE WORKS!!! Ps. Always push through and never give up!

I participated in the 6 week Transformation Challenge and loved the classes here. There are many class times during the week which makes it really convenient to fit into a busy schedule (there are 2 classes on Saturday AM and closed on Sunday). The exercises were varied day to day, with a good mix of cardio and strength training. What makes this place stand out are the coaches- they are simply amazing. I am so impressed how many of the coaches know every member's name- even newbies! I love that each class has 3 trainers which ensures that there is always someone easily available if you need help with modifications or to correct your form. HEW is great for all fitness types and the coaches help make it feel very approachable. The only thing I didn't 100% love about the Transformation Challenge was the nutrition piece- while there are many positives about it, I am personally not a fan of a nutrition program than bans so many types of foods, even certain types of fruit and vegetables. It did help enforce portion control and meal prepping, which was helpful to me. Overall- love this gym and it's people!

The staff at HEW Asheville is awesome. They are great motivators and have great attitudes. I haven't pushed myself this hard since my days of college baseball and I feel much stronger and athletic. The first time I walked into HEW and saw the way people were exercising, I wanted to turn around and run out the door, because I couldn't imagine myself being able to do those things. I was more than a little intimidated. But that's been the problem for decades... wanting a stronger body but not thinking I could actually do it. Now, just a couple of months in, I know I can do it and I'm doing things I've never done before! The owner and coaches at HEW are unwaveringly supportive and excellent teachers at breaking down movements so anyone, at any skill level, can succeed. In the past two months I have gained physical and personal strength, confidence, friendships, community, and a new found appreciation for myself, as well as the ability to get back into old clothing that had, until recently, been retired. I hoped to get in better shape, and that has certainly begun, but I never expected to love it so much. Sweat, tears, calluses, soreness, more sweat, and daily personal victories are all part of the journey towards becoming HEW-tiful, and it's a journey worth taking. You are worth showing up for yourself, and I highly encourage anyone to give it a try. You won't be sorry... you'll only be better.

Great place for any fitness level. My wife and I have thrived there despite our long hiatus from exercise and a healthy diet. We started with the free 6 week challenge and now members with no end in sight. The community there keeps you motivated and progressing. It’s been just what we needed as a family. This place from their owner, Arnaldo, to the coaches all the way down to the facility are simply unmatched! The workouts are inclusive, supportive, and, well, HARD! I have a unique physical condition that makes it challenging to complete some of the movements within the daily workouts. Personally, I really enjoy working out at HEW. I've been here for just over a year. The thing is, you can't come into HEW thinking it's just another gym. It's not like the Y or any of the other "big box" gyms. Yes, HEW is a franchising corporation but more in line with individually owned CrossFit gyms than Golds. It's not the place where you can mindlessly step into the gym, ride a bike for an hour or watch nautilus plates go up & down for 2 hours. It's a gym where I feel there is a great degree of PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY attached to your workouts. It says it above the door when you walk in - Check Your Ego Here. Can you get hurt doing the workouts? Sure. Absolutely. I feel however that with the instructions being given, the watchful eyes on you during the workout and your own level of personal responsibility any potential injury is massively reduced to almost nil. These are weightlifting movements. You will be moving barbells up over your head. You will be moving barbells to your chest then squat & then find that barbell moving over your head again. Notice I write "moving" not just "tossing" because these are choreographed movements that take focus. For me that's where the personal responsibly comes into play. If you want a mindless workout, then yes, find another facility. These workouts take concentration, focus, an eagerness to learn, & a willingness to listen to your body. As that weight gets heavy, all those things tend to break down. Be personally responsible for how much you are focused and concentrating. If your head just isn't there that day ... drop down in weight, modify the movement, ask for another movement all together.
ALL of the movements are more involved than just "Go swing that kettlebell up to eye level, back down, swing it up again, repeat, repeat". If you disregard the instructions as to proper form - yes, you might hurt yourself. If you are lifting more than you reasonably should just to keep up with other folks (check your ego) - yes, you might hurt yourself. None of these are scenarios that don't crop up at other facilities though. If you find yourself hurt while working out at HEW I would wager you would have found yourself hurt at whichever facility you choose to drop your gym bag. If anything, at HEW it's easy to want to do too much too fast because it's a bit addictive. More than I've found anywhere else. Again, personal responsibility. Listen to the coaches. Pay attention during the instruction part of each workout. All the basic info is there if you choose to listen. Everything from a narrow hand placement to a wide hand placement is important. It's why the coaches describe & demonstrate each & every movement of each and every workout. Following that, you have to be open to being corrected (check your ego at the door) on the big & small stuff. I wrote all the "basic" info is there because I've learned that just about all the movements have many, many finer points to sharpened as you get better. For someone just starting though, it can be intimidating which is why the coaches spend the time actually coaching & not just sitting in the gym somewhere waiting for you to come to them if you have any questions. You will see them, out of the corner of your eye, staring at you while you do something. Or more blatantly, standing right in front of you assessing your form. Make no mistake, it is a critique . . . but constructive & helpful to keep you save and progressing.
To that end . . . the coaches. I can't say enough good things about them. Most of my experiences over the past few decades with exercise facilities have been with "coaches" who have many, many, many clients. My "personalized" workout tended to look like most of the others I saw in the gym. Help and service was given as I sought them out, rather than them coming to check in on me. These are not personalized workouts, don't get me wrong. However, the degree of personalization from the coaches is amazing.
In any case, those are the bulk of my thoughts from the last 12 months. Hope it helps with any decisions.

I started attending HEW with the 5 week boot camp after losing around 45 pounds focusing almost entirely on nutrition. My goal was to lose any additional weight and fill in some areas of my physique left over after losing the weight. Since then I have lost an additional 13 pounds and gained what I think is significant muscle definition all while having a blast with constantly varying programming. I had my weight and measurements take after my 5 Week Bootcamp today, or as I like to say, I celebrated my 5 Week Cardioversary! Before I get to the results, I will blab on about the back story. I am not new to exercise or to sports. I’m a weightlifter and own Asheville Strength. I’ve competed at the American Open and even competed at CrossFit Regionals back in the day. I’ve coached many athletes as part of my team, and we travel to other gyms and run weightlifting seminars and camps. Over the years, I’ve done most of the usual seminars and certs – CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Gymnastics, USAW, USATF, etc. So, I feel confident in my ability to train heavy and coach others, and I have my very own weightlifting coach sitting a few feet away from me on a platform as I type this.
But, I had a rough school year and ended up working 70 hours a week starting in October of last year. This wasn’t planned. I was in good training shape, and then it all ground to a halt. About 6 weeks ago, I decided the semester was coming to an end, and I needed to get my butt back in gear. I registered for a meet on July 8 knowing that I was well above my weight class and super weak.
I am very good at dieting, but I’d originally planned to drop an additional weight class last year, and then I stopped training. The scale said I had a ton of weight to lose to accomplish that goal. I had not done any serious cardio since 2010, but I knew that would speed things along. On a whim, I sent Arnaldo a message asking him about the HEW bootcamp because I figured even I could survive 5 weeks of cardio. I told him that I really, really had to start the next morning before I changed my mind.
And, that’s how I found myself setting my alarm for 4:43 am to get to HEW at 5:50 am to do all the cardio. Things that I appreciate about HEW:
- The classes always start on time and are extremely well organized
- A coach calls to check in every week or so to see how things are going during bootcamp
- I can sub or scale as I need, and as far as I know, no coach has ever rolled their eyes at my mid-workout explanations like, “I don’t do the jumpy things.”
- There is a good vibe and the community aspect is stressed
- There is a lot more I could write but it’s after 9:00 pm and my alarm is set for 4:43 am
And now for the RESULTS!
My goals at the beginning of the 5 weeks were: Lose 12 lbs, do 12 consecutive pushups, and not feel like a dying land manatee during runs.
My results after 5 weeks were:
1. I lost 12 lbs
2. I lost 4.5 inches on my waist
3. I lost 4.5 inches on my chest
4. I lost 2.25 inches on my hips
5. I did 14 consecutive pushups
6. I row instead of running, so that’s kind of cheating my goal. My best 500m row ever is a 1:43, and while I am not back to that (because god, that is the worst thing I can imagine), I can row 1600m, 800m, 400m, and 200m in one workout without dying.

What can I say about Hard Exercise Works (HEW)? I could just say it does, but that really isn’t much of a review. HEW really isn’t a gym, nor is it a box, it is an amazing family of like-minded individuals who strive to be the best person that they can be. Attending HEW is awesome! Everyone pulls together during the workouts as you are all doing the same exact workout and enduring it together. When starting off, if you cannot do the exercise or even do it at a specific weight, don’t worry the coaches work with you. All of the workouts are scalable. In time, if you put in the effort and listen to the amazing coaches, you will see that hard exercise really does work.
They also have several classes that have a specific focus to help you on your fitness journey. There are stretching classes (yoga & pilates), running classes, Olympic Weightlifting Classes, and an overall program called HEWfit that focuses on nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle.
Once you are ready, HEW also competes in CrossFit competitions and has been known to partner with other local vendors to create our own. Most competitions are set up just like the daily workouts where you can do the recommended exercise and weight (RX) or scaled where the workouts and movements are not as strenuous as the RX. Whether it be your first competition or your 50th, HEW has an amazing community where other members and coaches come out and cheer each other on, regardless if they are competing that day or not.
HEW also conducts several social and charitable events each year. Some of the social events for members have been: kickball, paintball, taking in a tourist game, a week of Halloween costumes, hiking trips, a night at Painting with a Twist, or catching a trivia night at a local restaurant. If you are not a social person, but love to help out charities, HEW gives back as well! At HEW, there is a program called “Sweat Angels”. Each time you check-in as a member (on Facebook), HEW donates money to a specific charity which rotates each month. In the past year it has been used to provide shoes, clean drinking water, bricks to help build a school, food for a rescue animal, access for women to have a breast & ovarian cancer risk assessment, and education materials for men on the risk of prostate cancer, just to name a few. On top of the Sweat Angels Campaign, we also do work out in the surrounding community such as participating in the Back-to-School Drive, the Tire Amnesty Charity Event, and stacking the Manna Foodbank Giving Tree for example.
I recommend HEW to everyone, it is a lot of work (it isn’t called easy exercise works) in a truly fun environment. Come on in for a free class and experience it for yourself!

I started HEW in April as part of a 5 week boot camp! That was a life changing decision. I'm stronger and healthier than I've ever been. The coaches are amazing, knowledgeable and really encourage us all to do our best. No judgments. We are all at different levels, and all trying to improve daily and they understand that. They know everyone's name which is pretty amazing! I have joined gyms before and only went about twice a month which was a complete waste of money. HEW is a place you actually want to go every day! In the past four months, I've attended no less than four times a week! They have classes all day long from Monday - Friday starting as early as 5:50 am through 6:00 pm so it's really convenient for any work schedule, plus they offer two Saturday classes at 8:00 am and 9:00 am. The owners Nick and Caley genuinely care about their HEW family. I recommend HEW to everyone regardless of their fitness level. You will notice significant results after the first month.

My husband started going to HEW in March, and he kept coming home talking nonstop about the WODs. Being someone who has lifted weights and run their whole life, I was very intrigued yet very intimidated by the sound of the workouts. After my first WOD, I found that there was no need for the intimidation...all of the coaches work with you at your level and help you so that you can be successful. From day one, each of the coaches have known me by name and they create a relationship with each member. The workouts are super tough, but the people and the atmosphere make it fun!! About 4 months ago, I joined HEW on the recommendation of a friend. As an “outdoorsy” kind of guy, I was a little reluctant to commit to working out in a “box”. After a week, I was hooked. My fitness has improved immensely. The workouts offer a wide variety of challenges. The coaches are great- whether it is to give you a little extra motivation, to help refine your technique, or to find the right modification of an exercise that works for you. I started HEW 6 months ago very out of shape, I was scared to do it, which meant I really needed to! But the moment I walked in the door it was unlike any other gym I had been to, its a community. Everyone cheers each other on and helps you finish your workout. The coaches, OUTSTANDING, always there to help and take a minute to answer any question, doesnt matter if you're new or been there for forever. You're greeted with a smile and they actually know your name. I get up at 5:00AM everyday for the 6:00AM class. Like my friend Laura said, no matter how tired I am, I make myself get up and go because it is really the best part of my day! After joining and experiencing amazing results, I have been able to encourage so many other coworkers and friends to join who now love it and go everyday like me. I love the friends I have made there too, along with the trainers/coaches they all are ROCKSTARS!

Easily the best gym experience I've ever had. I love this place so much, I actually get out of my warm, cozy bed every weekday morning at 6:15 to be at the 6:50 class. Usually, I even look forward to it the night before. And really, I'm not that crazy gym person you're thinking I am. I'm not. If you're kinda out of shape, intimidated by the group gym thing, and/or inexperienced with cross training type stuff, this is the place you need to try out. It's worth the cost, it's worth the effort, and you'll end up doing stuff that will make you proud. And you'll look hot.

I completed my 3rd week of Hard Exercise Work today (bootcamp) and it has been such an amazing experience so far!! I started HEW 6 weeks after I had my second child and I'm so excited with the progress I've already seen. I feel that my goal of getting healthy and in shape are rapidly being met compared to any other workout plan I've ever done, especially because a recommended nutrition plan goes along with the workout schedule. The staff is very encouraging and motivating which helps me accomplish SO much more than I ever would on my own!!! I'm very thankful for this gym and my 6am class :) I hope to continue working out here after the bootcamp ends in 2 weeks.

From the first minute I walked in the door...over 50 and overweight...I knew that this was the place for me. Instantly felt welcomed and supported. Every day that I go, I am greeted enthusiastically by name and at every workout I am watched for correct form,encouraged, and congratulated for my success. This is nothing like going to the Y or to another gym. So much better. Come try it!

I was skeptical when I agreed to join a few people from work in a boot camp challenge, but they needed a body and my body needed some sort of exercise. Reluctantly, I joined, and while I was cautiously hopeful that I would see some improvements, I didn't go in expecting much. I've never been averse to working out, I've done plenty of time in gyms in the past, but I was comfortably in denial that my routine of laziness was making me unhappy. I needed something, but the concept of crazy group workouts with tires and sledgehammers and ropes and movements concocted by insane military people seemed ridiculous to me. But, it was free*, so I gave it a shot. (*The first 5 weeks of boot camp was "free" monetarily because of the work challenge, but it cost me dearly in time, sweat, and humility.)
Joining HEW Asheville was absolutely what I needed. I needed a challenge that wouldn't annoy me, I needed something that would inspire me to stay active and eat properly, and I needed something that would produce some noticeable results. Check, check, and check.
The workouts are challenging but fair, even if sometimes I question the sanity of whoever made them up. In the beginning, I was happy just to survive most of them without needing CPR. The workouts force you to fight through physical discomfort and mental blocks and and to fight off that nagging voice that says "This is stupid, your bed/couch loves you more than these kettlebells."
Just when you are ready to give in and take the easy route, in steps one of the top-notch trainers. Not maniacal, screaming, drill sergeant type trainers; not annoying Tony Little/Billy Blanks/Richard Simmons type trainers; but down-to-earth real people who care about you getting the most out of every minute in the gym. They do a great job of being there but not in the way, helping without badgering, instructing without demeaning. They do a great job of being what each person needs right at moment when the couch screams loudest.
Results? Yeah, results. After the 5 week boot camp, I was down seven pounds, but had lost a lot in inches. I was feeling better, the workouts were beginning to feel slightly less torturous, and I was finally feeling motivated to stay with getting back into shape. I've stayed with it, and now through 4 months, I've lost almost 20 pounds, my fat pants have to be held up by a tightly cinched belt, and I no longer have to suck in my gut in shame at the pool. The workouts are more challenging now because I want be able to do more and go faster. Results, yo.
Even better is the comradery with the people who sweat every day in the same class with you. You get to watch everyone improve, you get to see their results, and you get to laugh with them when you can't believe the workout expects something silly. They help push you, you help push them, and in the end, a good time is had by all.
It's hard. Sometimes very hard. But it works if you put in the time and the effort. If you need something to help you get your butt of the couch and make it easier to keep getting it off the couch, this place is it.

I am on my 3rd week of the Bootcamp and I am absolutly addicted!I have tried all kids of workouts and excercises and I just dont feel like I am "getting anything" out of it. But, not at HEW! If you are not sweating like a pig by the end of the workout then you must have been watching from outside! The coaches are amazing and I would recommend HEW to anyone! (Even after "Hell Week")

This is the best place to workout in Asheville! No question! I started at HEW about 9 months ago. At that point I hadn't done much exercising for the past couple of years and wanted to get back in shape. It is true, Hard Exercise Works! They work you hard, but you love them for it. The results will come - losing fat, gaining muscle, feeling 10 years younger. Its been amazing to me how much fun it is working this hard. The coaches are great, the other clients are great. Everyone works hard and makes friends doing it. If you are serious about getting in shape, I cant recommend HEW enough. It will be tough, for the first couple of weeks, but you'll love it!

Hard Exercise Works. Period. More specifically, Hard Exercise ASHEVILLE Works. After countless gym memberships, diet plans and empty promises I came to HEW and the rest is history. I feel like Wonder Woman; strong, confident and excited about getting into the best shape of my life and I couldn't be more proud to call HEW Asheville my home. The trainers are incredible, they push you to do your best and reach your goals and, most importantly for me, it's FUN! I enjoy it every day. The good, the bad and the burpees. It's true, it's not complicated...Hard Exercise WORKS!

My friend and I bought a groupon 11/2012 and I thought to myself what did we get ourselves into?? After the 5 week boot camp I was hooked. Everyone there was helpful from the coaches down to the others working out. I have met a great bunch of people who lift me up and cheer me on in the gym and outside the gym. I have done things I never imagined my body can do! Cannot express how much I love this gym!

When I walked through the doors of HEW AVL 10 months ago, I was terrified! I thought the people were a little crazy, especially when they celebrated working out so hard it made you want to melt into the floor! Since then... I have become one of them! I never imagined that I would not only find a way of exercise that I couldn't wait to do, but also a supportive community that has become like family! We celebrate non-scale victories, no matter how small. And they are there to offer an encouraging word when you feel like those victories are out of reach (although you soon find out they never are!) I am thankful I get to be a part of HEW and call it MY BOX!

I'm not sure how I can describe adequately what HEW means to me. I walked in there with little expectations as I was simply "using" a Groupon b/c it was expiring. Through the first week of my bootcamp I hated it. I was sore in places I didn't know existed and I was humbled and broken. However, if there's one thing I don't do, that's quit, and at HEW, they won't let you. I ended my 5 week bootcamp happier than I've ever been with myself physically. I lost exactly 1/2 pound. That's right, a 1/2 a pound! But I lost 3.5'' around my waist, 3.5'' around my chest, 1'' around my neck, and 1'' around my right thigh for a total loss of 9''! I've learned that the scale is not important, but a stronger, leaner, fitter, more confident me is!
But Hard Exercise Works is not simply about personal triumphs, gains, milestones, it's about the community that you find yourself becoming a part of. The Coaches/Staff there are some of my friends now. I lean on them when I'm struggling and I'm glad to know that they're not afraid to lean on me when they need to. My 8:00 am class is full of folks I spend time with socially and outside of the gym. They're like brothers and sisters to me at this point. We all interact on Facebook and we all hang out together on weekends. It's literally like an extension of my family.
HEW has a magical formula but you just have to trust it. Believe in yourself! Find the courage to walk through those doors and take control of your life. I promise you that if you do, you'll find yourself doing things you wouldn't believe, and you'll find that version of yourself you always knew you could be. It's changed my life! Come one morning at 8:00am and introduce yourself, I promise you I'll be there!

WOW...where do I begin!? Hard Exercise Works Asheville is wicked AWESOME!! After I completed my 5 Week Bootcamp; I had lost several pounds on the scale, but more importantly, I added several inches of muscle on certain parts of my body. Here it is 4 months later and I am still attending HEW (Hard Exercise Works)! If you are looking for a fun way to get into shape and feel and look better...then this is the Fitness Place for you! The trainers will spend time coaching you during the WOD's and also after each class for one on one attention. You can go as many times in a day as your body lets you. I now have dozens of new friends and we all cheer each other on and hold each other accountable. I have never been this committed to working out before and I love the 'Family' I have here at this gym. I could go on and on for days talking about this wonderful place; but truly, you have to experience it for yourself and you'll get addicted!!
