This place is DIRTY!!! My daughter joined this gym and immediately started breaking out with RING WORM! Never having it before we fought week after week her having RING WORM. We didn't know it was this gym until she stopped going. THE CULPRIT! We had fought it since she started going for YEARS. THIS PLACE IS NOT CLEAN!!!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at ITC over the last 4 years! From the moment we signed up, the staff and coaches have been incredibly welcoming, supportive, and, professional.

The program is not only well-organized but also prioritizes the growth and development of each child. The coaches strike the perfect balance between teaching skills and fostering a love Ninja and Gymnastics. My children have grown tremendously in confidence, teamwork, and, athletic ability since joining.

What really sets their program apart is the emphasis on creating a positive and encouraging environment. The coaches truly care about the kids and take the time to work with each one individually to ensure they feel included and valued.

I highly recommend Illumination Training Center to anyone looking for a sports program that goes above and beyond to nurture and inspire young athletes. It’s been an incredible experience for our family, and we look forward to many more years to come!

We are extremely disappointed with this gym and their conduct. We first enrolled my daughter in summer classes which was extremely busy but she seemed to enjoy herself. They tend to flip the location of the little beams gymnastic class depending on the other schedules of classes. Sometimes they'll stick them in a teeny tiny little corner with little equipment they can use, and sometimes they'll be in a more spacious one with fantastic equipment. My daughter knows the difference and hates the small one. It's limiting and she does not feel like it's an authentic experience on that side. The summer was in the small one, the year-long program was in the spacious side but only because of the specific day and time we chose. We switched to a different day and she was out in the small side, was sabotaged with a whole big class of kids all of whom kept cutting her in line, and the instructor completely turndc a blind eye so my daughter didn't get her fair turns. She was pretty distraught and when no one responded to her pleas she got angry and started screaming in frustration, to which the instructors had no experience evidently helping a child to process their feelings so I was called and she was brought to me wailing and growling at everyone. The manager (I think? Maybe she's the owner. It's unclear, but she likes to waltz around and talk about her life woes and what she's having for lunch or whatever else involves THE most unprofessional way) essentially told me my daughter's conduct was not to be tolerated and she better not do this again or she won't be welcome back.
So that's how my child's age-appropriate feelings were handled. By immature, incompetent teenagers who have no idea how to handle things. At all. And a manager/owner who can't even keep her conduct presentable.
I've seen and heard how my daughter's Thursday afternoon (teenage) instructor does things and she always has a snobbish, rude remark for me about my daughter. It's pretty unprofessional and I'm shocked that this is allowed. Maybe grow up and learn how to interact appropriately with each child. I'm doing my share of letting my child know when she needs to have more patience or to listen to the teacher. If I see it, I popy head in and remind my child or I even prepare her before and after about patience, taking turns, and listing to the teacher. But no, I have to have a snobbish teenager tell me how she feels about my kid every week. Or roll her eyes and not greet or bid us farewell.
Each week is a struggle here. The Thursday afternoon receptionist has been bringing all of her young children to the gym to play while she works, them screaming and asking for snacks nonstop and she does not tend to them, and if she does, she tells them to go join her daughter for class, avoiding parenting her own kids. My husband came one week and was extremely shocked by all he saw. It's one thing to hear what's going on here, but another to witness it firsthand.
Our final straw was today when the owneer/manager came up to me when I stopped by for class and I was informed they were on break (but the gym was PACKED full of gymnasts) and proceeded to tell me with hardly a single second of eye contact that they've informed me *three* different ways that the gym is on break still. If it were so, it would be in my email. I would not have wasted my time or gotten my daughter's hopes up for something if it was made clear that it was not happening.
That was my final straw.
Unprofessional, making threats, letting their children scream and whine all over the building while threatening my own staging that she can't be upset by something VERY understanding to be upset by (I don't know anyone who likes being cut in line and having the teacher ignore it). I've had it. I'm not taking her back and I'll not be recommending this unprofessional, slobby place to anyone ever.
I expect my money for the upcoming month to be refunded or I'll be disputing the charge. I'm not paying for this pathetic "service" anymore.

Stop letting the parents park in the median that you don’t own or take care of. It’s a inconvenience to the people that live in the neighborhood when we can’t get out if you don’t have enough space move

My grand-daughter attends this wonderful gymnastics training center and she loves it. Her parents and I have seen her grow in so many ways. From the upper management all the way to the coaches, and the front desk staff are absolutely amazing.

ITC has been an amazing place for our competitive gymnast. The last gym she was at closed down unexpectedly and we now realize it was for the better. The small feel and family friendly atmosphere has been amazing to be a part of. Our daughter has grown so much in her skills and confidence since being a part of the team.

My daughter loves coming here! It has been so good for her, both physically and mentally! She has adhd and this is the first thing we have found that is really a good fit for her. The coaches and owners are great! The most caring people, truly! I drive 45 minutes every week to bring her here. My daughter just did her first ninja competition after training for about 6 months and it was such a positive experience for her! I highly recommend!

My children attended Ninja Warrior summer camp, and they had a great week of learning and growing in their skills. I had hopes of possibly pursuing more classes in the future, but have decided not to after my experience as a parent coming and going.

I felt little to no warmth from the staff, not even friendly greetings upon entrances and exits. I heard staff complaining out loud about having to pay people that weren't doing their jobs. To me, it was off-putting and not for us beyond the week of camp.

The facility did seem well-cared for and very clean.

Our daughter has been coming to Illumination gymnastics for over a year now and we have been so impressed by the organization. The owners are truly passionate about developing the center, and so committed to helping their students grow in strength, character and technical skills, while still having fun. The atmosphere is encouraging, but also super challenging. You should see what these kids can do! And it is a great value for the training they get.

I told my sister about our experience and she enrolled her three kids in a few summer camps with our daughter, and now two of her children are in the Ninja class and one in gymnastics throughout the year. They love it!

Whether you are interested in the ninja warrior program or gymnastics, without a doubt you child will be challenged, grow stronger and make friends. I highly recommend!

We have been with ITC for several weeks now. They have been keen to find which class best fits my sons skill level and will also push him to be better. His coach, Jenna is knowledgeable of the ninja skills and techniques. She aims to encourage and challenge the kids to be their best AND do their best. She is professional, organized, and supportive of the kids and parents. She communicates with parents on their child’s progress and challenges. She works well with ninjas of all abilities.
I do encourage utilizing their open gym time. It is a great time for ninjas (kids) to practice their skills, work on new skills, ask their coach questions, and it’s fun for parents too! It’s fun for all!!
We completed our first competition at another gym. Jenna was very helpful in providing the information about the competition. We received emails well in advance with available details and continued communication up until the day of the competition. She attended the competition providing coaching and parent and ninja (child) support from start to finish including during their run. She looked for strategies to share with the ninjas to aid in their success. She was a good example to the kids as she cheered on all competitors from all gyms.
Overall our experience at ITC has been fantastic! I would highly recommend their gym for you and/or your ninja. They do have adult classes for those of us with dreams of being a ninja too!

My 9 yo daughter has been participating in their ninja warriors class for over a year and a half now and she loves it! She has not only gained strength and skills, she has gained confidence and self-esteem. The coaches are patient and encouraging and she never wants to miss a class! She also asks to go to the ninja open gym every week because she wants more practice.

My son takes classes here and he loves it. They practice a number of different skills and strength training. At the very end of class they do some calm down stretches. It has been the perfect non-team indoor activity during these cold winter months!

Love, love, LOVE this gym! Illumination is a small gym, with a family feel. The staff is very knowledgeable, attentive, and helpful. The coaching is awesome, and the girls are amazing.
Our daughter has been in competitive gymnastics for 5 years in PA and has done well, but in a few short months with Illumination we watched her improve tremendously. She now calls Illumination her "happy place."

My daughter is on ITC's competitive gymnastic team and loves it!! She has really excelled and improved since switching to this gym. The owner and coaches are great and we really feel like part of a family there. The gym is clean, close and convenient for us considering my daughter spends so much time there. I would highly recommend this gym for anybody looking to get their children involved in Gymnastics (competitive or otherwise) or Ninja Warrior Training which is also fantastic there.

Illumination Training Center is fantastic! I bring my 5 year old here every Tuesday after he gets out of school to run, jump and climb with new friends every week.
We attended a birthday party here and now wants his party to be here as well! :-) I love that there are two open gymnasiums on either side of the lounge with two big windows, so you can keep an eye out while spending time with other moms and making new friends along the way. I would highly recommend this Gymnastics Center! Come see for yourself.

Came for open gym with my 5 and 3yo. Great place for kids to run and play and work on gross motor skills. Quieter than β€œother gyms” which is nice for parents and for chatting with other moms. Kids played for hours!
Directions (gps) can be tricky so call if you can’t find it...or continue down the road till you find it.

Best gym in the Charlotte Area!! Clean, everyone is super friendly, coaches are fantastic! This is exactly what we were needing, my daughter is in one of the advanced teams but is only six, the coaches are understanding and push her just enough. Great role models! We also had her birthday party here and it was fantastic! Great prices and even better people!!
