I’ve been attending a lot of classes at Lotus over the past few months and really love the studio. The teachers each bring their own approach, which keeps every class fresh and engaging. None of the classes ever feel overwhelming, but the instructors always offer more challenging options if you want to push yourself. I often choose not to take them—and that’s perfectly fine too.

The space is welcoming, clean, and thoughtfully run, and the overall vibe makes it easy to stay consistent with my practice. Lotus is a place where you can grow at your own pace, whether you’re brand new to yoga or have been practicing for years. I’m grateful to have found it and look forward to many more classes here.

Two stars as I assume it’s a nice place. I wouldn’t know, because I couldn’t park. The streets are literally blocked off for an event and there is NOWHERE to park. In their email confirmation they do say to arrive early and give info on parking, but none of their suggestions worked today. They also warn about a $10 no-show fee, and if they do charge it I’m not going to bother contesting it. That will be the only money they get from me; I’m just going to find someplace else that a) provides yoga mats (I’m traveling and who flies with a yoga mat?) and b) people can get to.

Keep the no show fee and put it towards finding a location that’s accessible. Good luck 🍀

An enthusiastic practitioner and traveler, I’ve taken classes at many different studios. Lotus stands at the top. The instructors are so talented, the community is incredibly welcoming, and the vibe is grounded and soul-nourishing. The classes offer varying degrees of physicality, but are consistent in what they provide spiritually; I always leave feeling more clear, more peaceful, and more grateful. What an asset to the Winston Salem community! 🙏🏼☀️🌎🌜🪷

In town for the week and needed to get a yoga session in. Lotus was exactly what I was looking for! Very welcoming & warm community and they kindly provided a mat for me to use since I didn't travel with one. The morning Solar Flow that I attended was a great way to start the day. Slow, deep poses that got the heart pumping and worked up a slight sweat. Neil was a great instructor and the space is beautiful. Highly recommend!

Fabulous space with wonderful/knowledgeable teachers! I was in town for a few weeks. I wanted to continue my yoga practice while traveling. I'm a yoga teacher myself and did research on which one seemed the best suited for me. I came across Lotus Yoga and enjoyed every class I attended!!! Would highly recommend. Thank you for all the mats you let me borrow. <3 Loved all the plants.

About a month ago I signed up for the 2 week trial of classes with Lotus (my first time ever trying yoga). Despite being a bit nervous, my experience was nothing short of fantastic! I attended classes by Chloe, Misty, and Emily. All three instructors were welcoming, knowledgeable and encouraging to this new student. If you are a veteran of the practice or just starting your journey, I would recommend attending a few classes. You will not be disappointed. Thank you to team Lotus for making my experience so enjoyable!

Lotus Yoga is more than just a yoga studio, it is a beautiful community full of vibrancy and knowledge. Personally, I love how the classes expand upon my spiritual practice as well as my physical practice. The instructors weave little nuggets of wisdom into their teachings that can really help set an intention for your day.

Lotus Yoga is located in the Innovation Quarter of Winston Salem and the Shala emanates peace, clarity, and expansion. If you are not local or prefer to practice from home, they also offer a virtual studio where you can practice along to livestreamed classes. Whether you are just starting your yoga practice or are an experienced yogi, Lotus Yoga has offerings for you.

What an amazing surprise Lotus Yoga was to me! I have known about the studio for a long time but have been so resistant to trying it because I didn’t want to have to park downtown. I was so wrong. There is plenty of free parking so close by that I felt silly once I tried it for the first time. It couldn’t have been easier. As far as the studio, it is so lovely. It’s beautiful, peaceful, welcoming and smells so good! I have thoroughly enjoyed all the teachers I have practiced with. I have found my yoga home and am so happy to be back in a studio!

Lotus yoga is conveniently located downtown in innovation Quarter next to Bailey Park. I went here for a prenatal yoga class and feel in love with the beautiful space. I met the owner Chloe and her husband and they’re both so welcoming and have crated a real sense of community. I can’t wait to take one of their new postnatal classes with my baby boy! The variety of classes and unique events are what make Lotus stand out, but it’s the community that makes you want to come back.

I can’t say enough how much I love Lotus Yoga. From the incredible space to the instructors and their intentions - this place is welcoming to all and wholeheartedly wants the best for all members and visitors.

Not interested in going to class in person during COVID? They have a *phenomenal* online membership deal that is shockingly affordable, and honestly one of the best deals in town if you ask me.

If you’re looking to try a new yoga studio in town, give this place a go first. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Lotus Yoga is one of the friendliest yoga studies in the triad. Frankly it’s the best. From the owner Chloe and her husband being so kind hearted and welcoming. To amazing instructors like Kris. If you haven’t done yoga before and are terrified you can’t do it, GO TO LOTUS! They guide you, help you, and you never feel judged. I didn’t have that weird gym feel or feel out of place at all. It’s calm, stunning inside, and cozy. They are all so educated, so dedicated, and overall Covid safe. They take such great precautions for the customers. They even offer online classes for you to practice from your home. Check them out I promise you it’s the best.

I have been happily involved in the Lotus Yoga Academy community since the beginning of 2020. As my year launched with a rocky start I was looking and needing a new yoga home. My closest friends invited me to my first class at LYA and I’ve been hooked ever since. The space is beautiful and calming and aesthetically pleasing in many ways. From the variety of classes, the flexible class schedule, multiple membership options and unique classes/events, this studio has got it goin on! Most importantly, the owners, Chloe and Neil and their entire team are some of the most exuberant, inspiring and humble group of yogis I have had the pleasure of practicing with. I learn something new about myself and something new about the practice of yoga in each and every class. 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great space for their Yoga practice.

I had a disappointing experience with Lotus Yoga Academy. I signed up for a patio class (due to COVID) that had been recommended to me by two friends who attend the yoga studio. I arrived for the class with one of those friends. Before the class, Neil came out and spoke to my friend and requested that she leave, based upon an email that had apparently been sent to her earlier in the week that she had not seen. If she had seen it, certainly neither of us would have attended because it was quite embarrassing to have to leave when there were less than 10 other people present (some of which my friend knew well). I appreciate that, as a business, Lotus has the right to refuse business to whomever it chooses. However, the way in which it was handled was unprofessional in my opinion.

I’m basing my review on the couple of outdoor classes I’ve been to and I hope to visit the studio soon. The classes I went to were a sunset class at the rock quarry and a brew and beer class at the coal bit next to Incendiary. Both classes offered beautiful outdoor experiences and above average yoga poses for someone like me - a casual yoga guy. The instructions were well done and I felt wonderful after my workouts. Chloe and her team are always welcoming. Highly recommend this yoga practice!
