Meraki: to do something with soul, creativity and love; to leave your essence upon your work.
We chose our studio name with the intention of creating dancers that will do just that. At Meraki Academy of Dance we celebrate individuality and encourage our dancers to find themselves in the movement. We are passionate about the art of Dance and strive for excellence. We believe that excellence doesn’t come from dance technique alone and although we are committed to the technical aspect of dance, we are equally committed to teaching dancers the power of empathy and how to move with conviction. We give our students the freedom to discover themselves through dance. We are not only a dance studio. We are family. We do life together as we learn!

Meraki Academy of Dance is hands down the best around! The instructors truly care about the students. They provide quality dance instruction while helping the dancers grow as young adults. They help increase the confidence and self esteem of each dancer. Each dancer feels special there.

If you have a kid in the Elizabeth city and want them.to do dance of varying styles. This is the school. I can give you many reasons from the training of the teachers to the wonderful prices. Nope the real only reason that matters is they not only create a team but the form a family. Many of the girls have come from.a prior school of the trainers. Tonie and her instructors truly love dance and care for the students. I am sitting here watching Tonie console a student like a mother. Earlier she handled another situation in one of the best ways I have seen. My niece is going to be an instructor there and was a former student of Tonie's and all of Tonie's students grow into some of the best humans you can imagine as well as becoming good dancers. If you care about your kid, Meraki does too. Because at Meraki they become family.
