About the Club

Voted "Best Physical Trainer" by the readers of the Mountain Express. Been a fitness trainer for over twenty years. Ran a successful training program and kettlebell bootcamp in Los Angeles until the end of 2019. Moved to Asheville, and pleased to open up my own private studio. I combine strength training, cardio, movement training, and a combination of recovery techniques to help the body feel better. I use various breath work techniques to help with training and recovery. I am also a certified YogaBody Stretch & Breath Coach. I am always looking for new ways to train the body, and to keep the workouts fun.

I’ve been working out with Griffin at Mind Muscle Fitness three times a week for over two years. It’s a beautiful, well-equipped, clean space, and Griffin is the kind of trainer who actually changes the way you think about working out. He challenges me every session, pushes me when I need it, and somehow also knows exactly when I need to recover. He pays attention.

This isn’t about trends or hype — it’s smart, consistent training with someone who takes the work seriously and makes it fun and enjoyable at the same time. Griffin has created a very welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment - AND HE KNOWS HIS STUFF! He very much reads you and determines what you need. He doesn't have a cookie cutter approach where everyone is the same. He also has something that I've never seen in a fitness facility - an incredible amount of recovery enhancers - from compression pants to an infra red sauna and a bunch of massage and stretching products.

What I also love about Griffin is that he can work with people of any fitness level.

I trained with Griffin for over a year and I am so grateful for everything he has taught me. From using proper form and breathing techniques to making smarter eating and drinking decisions, he’s left his mark on my daily routine. I am stronger, healthier and have more flexibility. My body no longer creaks when I get up from sitting in a chair. My stomach has flattened and I see clear definition in my shoulders and arms. I gained back the confidence I had lost after getting older and I feel great! One of the best parts about working out with Griffin is how he stretches you at the end of the session. In my experience, Griffin is an excellent personal trainer. His clean, light filled gym in West Asheville is fitted out with top notch equipment, all in excellent condition. I have been training with Griffin for four months and have seen solid results, lost four inches off of my waist and gained a bunch of muscle. Griffin created challenging personalized workouts which he changes up regularly. He is attentive, always making sure that my form is correct. He provides encouragement, positive feedback and accountability.
I have a chronic shoulder and elbow issue that Griffin addresses with specific exercises designed to strengthen those areas, and adapts the routine on the fly in response to any discomfort.

Griffin is the best! Its that simple…

At first I was like a deer in headlights! I was the most out of shape I’ve ever been in my life. The past 10yrs all I did was work, eat, sleep and repeat. I needed a redo mentally and physically. I needed someone to see my potential and get me going again. I met Griffin by selling him a house in beautiful Asheville NC. I could tell right away this guy knows what he’s doing and I need to hire him to help me. So I did and that was about 8 months ago.

Through Griffins consistent and thoughtful workouts I got my grove back and its amazing to see how far I’ve come in the short period of time I have been training with Griffin.

Griffin builds you up with confidence and strength to always do your best and to never give up. Just keep doing the work and it will pay off. So thats what I’ve been doing. Showing up… staying consistent and keeping the faith! I’m turning 50 in 6 months and I feel like I’m my 30’s again!

I'm so glad Griffin moved to Asheville. His studio is great and filled with all kinds of things that I look forward to using in getting back into shape. I also like how private and in such a beautiful area. He was very knowledgable and open to listening to what my needs were while suggesting some areas that I could work on.
