I’m a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach in Wilmington, NC. I work with a wide range of clients: from athletes, too surgeons, to soccer moms, to my mom. Do you have a specific goal in mind? I worked with Josh for about 7 months. He provided strength and cardio routines tailored to my needs (and limitations as I continued to recover from major surgery and treatments). The best thing he did was help me rehab an unexpected shoulder injury. I was able to continue lifting through this injury through his weekly modified plans. **Beyond impressed is the understatement of the year! ** I have some experience with kettlebells but only through solo exploration. In the past I found myself having challenges related to form, leading to injury, which left my kettlebells collecting dust. Our facility had a week long visit from Josh a month ago. Josh gave me some advice on how to get rid of some pain in my knee. I’ve been following his recommendations of the stretches and strengthening exercises and my knee is already way better. Josh took time out to help me and it is very much appreciated. He has also given me nutritional and basic exercise advice in the past. I still remember some of the key things he taught me in that class years ago. If you have Josh as your trainer you will definitely see improvement.
Update: I’ve been using Josh as my personal trainer. I had a couple goals, but mostly I had some hip pain that I needed help with. He gave me specialized exercises to focus on strengthening that area and it has made a huge difference. I used to think about how much it hurt all day long. Now only occasionally does it hurt. I also have learned so much as Josh has tweaked my form. I appreciate the help so much!!

Excellent personal trainer! I did a remote session but it felt just like in person. Josh gave me a personalized exercise routine that was hard enough to be challenging but also doable so I didn’t feel intimidated by it. I’m one week in and enjoying every workout. First things first, Josh is a wonderful person. He's genuine, kind, and a direct communicator. My wife and I met Josh on the beach as he and a friend were body surfing. I have been for the last several months looking for a way to kick start my healthy eating/exercising routine. I was stuck in a funk until I was introduced to Josh and his NeuStrength program. I started my journey with Josh on December 17th 2021 at 260 lbs.
During my first meeting, Josh was a book of knowledge Ron the do’s and don’ts I should follow. We discussed everything from portion control, exercise routines, rest and to listen to your body (water/rest). At first (1st week) It was hard, especially the portion control and bad habits of many sweets and carbs.
Well, off I went and stuck to the program 100%!!! Fast-forward to Feb. 4th, 2022 (49 days!!) I am sitting now on 246 lbs. yes, 14lbs off and feeling amazing. On my 40th birthday Josh came to me and said: “Hey Old Man, today you’re going to learn how to Surf.” That was May 6th 1994 back in Kailua Kona, Hawaii where we both lived at the time.
Looking back, that was one of the very best thing’s that ever happened to me.
It changed my lifestyle 180’ degrees.
Watching Josh through the years since then I see he’s done the same for many individuals. Staying active is obviously one of the most important things you can do for yourself. Today, visiting Josh from Pahoa, Hawaii we went for a 1/2 mile swim and caught a few little waves on the way. Having fun while exercising is absolutely beneficial. Josh is a phenomenal trainer! I have trained with him 1-2 times a week for close to 5 years. Over that time as I experienced aches or pains from an active life and work he was always able to get me back to wellness. He is certified in so many areas that his knowledge base is immense. Josh was an old friend of mine from New York that I was able to reconnect with. He has always been a very personable friendly person who treats everyone equally.
